i just wanna say tho that it was all worth it. the energy and the passion and the refusal to go down without a fight were worth it. giving some studio executives hell was worth it. showing the cast and crew how much this show means to us was worth it. giving a shit about queer stories is worth it.

OFMD RENEWAL CALL-

Jan. 18th

I called (855)442-6629 to express our concern about the OFMD S3 cancellation. I spoke with a lovely lady named Yeta and she submitted my statement verbatim about how this show deserves it’s intended 3rd season. These are some things she told me that would help us continue to get noticed:

1) Keep calling! She said she’s familiar with the show and that there are calls coming in about it.

2) If we talk about how we will unsubscribe and stop committing to Max if the show gets cancelled, then they do take note of that data.

KEEP CALLING AND DONT BE AFRAID TO SAY THAT THEIR NUMBERS WILL GO DOWN IF THIS SHOW IS CANCELLED!!!

And your friends get fired. And not over Zoom or in a corner office at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon, no, you get fired loudly and publicly in front of millions of people, people who thought you were great at your job. This is exactly what happened yesterday to #ofmd.

Have you ever lost a job? It's humiliating, disorienting, sad,confusing. I sat on my bathroom floor and sobbed. But these fine pirates don't have the privacy to grieve, oh no, they get to experience weird and inexplicable theories about why they were fired, or how, or who is at fault. And they get the burden of our grief and tears and tags and yelling and blaming.

If your heart is broken, as is mine, imagine theirs. Mourn, commiserate, come out swinging, but keep the insane theories and invasive questions to your group chats.

What if they're ALL fallen angels?! They just all THINK some are demons and some are angels.

And the demons set up a Hell, and really owned it, and leaned into their idea of what Hell looks like and acts like (pantomime evil). And the demons-who-think-they're-still-angels have set up a Heaven that looks like their idea of Heaven (we're up here and everyone else is down there so we're better than everyone else) And this has just been going on for so long that they've all come to accept it as the Truth.

BUT BOTH SIDES ARE JUST DIFFERENT DEGREES OF HELL AND THE REAL HEAVEN IS SOMEWHERE ELSE! ("a place on Earth" maybe? Perhaps a certain bookshop? Or cottage in the South Downs? Or a certain village of Tadfield? Or just any place there is Love)

And everyone is going on about maybe Crowley is Lucifer ... But what it's the METATRON? He is pulling all the strings because he is the Lord of Hell, and both "sides" make up all of Hell.

I think I need to sit down for a minute. And then rewatch ALL of S1 and S2 to see if this theory holds water (ooh nooo, what a tragedy!)
