#that concert really did me in#i seriously thought i had moved on!!! 🤡#i wasnt going to get rid of my programs. but my slfl shirt is p torn up and i did consider donating it#i havent listened to their discog this seriously since youngblood#and here i am. hemm-ifying my blog like its 2015 all over again#they meant sm to me as a teenager my soft spot for them and what theyve been up to never left#but now its like… im back in boys. listening to all their music and watching their interviews and old streams lol#theyre like the nice ex boyfriend youre still friends w and catch up every once in awhile lol#its crazy how ‘at home’ i felt at their show compared to the other concerts ive been to this year#its like. smth about all of it has been v neat and wholesome for me to revisit#mytext

If you haven’t been reading along to @mild-pepper-spray ‘s fic “The Heart Starts Singing” YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!!
She just posted the masterpiece which was the final chapter, and it was so incredibly moving!
If you like Hualian modern AUs that wind music, grief, and falling in love together, I really can’t recommend this fic enough! Also— Hua Cheng playing the violin… obviously an enticing enough concept to inspire this entire drawing hahaha.

like the thing is the last time i was a massive fall out boy fan i was 14 and i was still trying to figure out what Good Music was and truth be told most of what i considered Good Music at age 14 is absolute dogshit. so imagine my surprise when i returned to from under the cork tree 8 years later and it wasn't just Not Dogshit, it was from under the cork tree

#YES THEM BEING THERE IS EXACTLY WHY I TOLD MY BROTHER TO GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE ('there' being tower records in japan)#but i find it so funny that the cashier actually remarked on that fact too#anyway. you need to know that i'm feeling so very AAAAHHHH right now. all of these are such a big deal to me#i didn't think i'd actually own KMH ON VINYL at any point#also utterly shocked about the guerilla toss CD. very exciting to have that one too#they're one of my fav bands and i implore everyone who likes unhinged and very experimental and cacophonic rock to check them out#this album (eraser stargazer) isn't the most accessible thing there is out there but i really love it#(i don't even know how to describe it properly. it's just really something to behold anyway)#the plushie is also a gift from my brother!! i'll gladly take any name suggestions for him#oh and also sparks debut album. first album that i own both on CD and vinyl as of today#it's not even that it's my fav sparks album or anything (i do really love it though and it's definitely somewhere in my top ten)#it's just that some albums feel more like they 'fit' with the vinyl format than CD in sound. to me at least#one other example of that besides this one being gratsax#ok i think that's all i have to say about this. one of the most epic hauls of my life that's for sure#OH WAIT one more thing. somewhat unfortunate actually#which is that my brother said he's pretty sure he saw a latte vinyl#but when he passed by that section again like 10 minutes later he already couldn't find it. oh latte.......#it's ok i'll have it one day. i'm really curious what went down there though. did someone really snag it in those 10 minutes???#and yes in case you're worried i did thank my brother profusely for getting me all this#and now i'm going to force him to listen to the TMBG vinyl with me so that he's PREPARED FOR THE CONCERT#that's in 3 months and that he's know about for a year and a half. ok i'm done now#goosepost

so many. so many. too many for me to remember everyone. it's the main picture on @didnt-hear-idsb-live-again's header. @likedaylighht who made the really big denny's joke after closing was there to, i could probably @ like a dozen people but i don't want to accidentally leave people out, so i'll leave it at just genuinely so many people.
it was kinda like a big venn diagram of overlapping friendship circles. i at least knew of most of the people-- there was a solid handful that i'd been following since i joined swiftie tumblr (and i did freak out about it when i saw who all was going to be there), a good chunk that i had become friends with in the years since, and a small handful of people i hadn't heard of (i met @loveaffairmaimyou because of this and now she's one of my closest friends! we unknowingly bought tickets next to each other in a stadium of 65,000 people! soulmate behavior!). i hadn't met anyone in person though, which was crazy. (me and @evermoredeluxe met for the first time when i was picking her up to drive like 6 hours to phoenix). i'd guess its somewhat similar for most people, though a lot of them had met each other in person before
