newish oc yaaay☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️his name is jyanellad (gy-ann-ill-ad) he is the god of destruction in my ocs lore
he is the opposite of the god(dess) of creation (who is currently unnamed) and takes the form of a tornado but also the storm above it too
he tends to stay in his own realm, and if other people (such as the other gods) are around he prefers to stay in the clouds and linger above as a rotating storm because his vortices carry immeasurable power which he knows the consequences of using. despite it being his purpose, he tries to not destroy without reason
he did not create krakrofis but rules over him. him and creation are friends

Lying on the floor in a puddle of my tears and staring blankly at the ceiling as I once again think about all the fucked up, multi-dimensional ways that Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk and Han Sooyoung encompass the god vs creation and deity vs worshipper dynamics

Rather than trying to prove Gaylor is real and that Taylor Swift is actually just trying to secretly signal that she’s a lesbian, why don’t y’all just go and listen to openly queer artists instead of forming conspiracies to try and make your faves queer instead?
Like it says so much about how people would rather waste their time trying to prove she’s queer instead of y’know looking into queer artists and their music.
It comes across as if y’all don’t actually care about LGBT artists, you just feel like you need some justification as to why you enjoy your faves.

u're an amazing creator i hope that u don't take the criticism too hard, and just ignore it!
at the end of the day it's ur art, and art takes time and effort for u to make. whatever u're happy with in the end of each one is ur choice. improvement is part of doing art and we get better each day of every year.
i wish i had the guts to post my art online like u do and be able to take all the hate, but i'm not there yet><
just know there's lots of ppl out there that genuinely love ur creations and it'll inspire more to do the same!!

you guys are very sweet and trust me it still helps a lot to read these messages and know my work is enjoyed 🩵
not to get all mother on you guys but i think its stupid to believe that you need to take every bit of criticism that comes ur way. i take them from ppl who pay my bills or ppl who i trust, like, and admire. no one else. you should do the same.
my favorite manager was the one who went here’s how i think but if u think im wrong u can always disregard. bc the reality is nobody knows everything, and ur the one who has to bear the consequences not the person dropping advice, so u pick and choose what feels right to listen to. anyone pressing you, saying you Have to listen to them, is full of themselves and of shit. they’ve got an ego that bruises like a plum, and that should be raising a red flag on the quality of their thinking and advice.
i generally try to stand up for creators, bc it doesn’t exactly get easier. its upsetting to hear ppl say they’re scared to share bc they’re worried they’ll get flack. never let that be a reflection of you though but rather the person sending it.

I'm not powerful enough to kill you. But how about this? What if I erased the memory of your rebirth? What'll happen once the power you've acquired disappears? THE UNCANNY COUNTER S2: COUNTER PUNCH (2023)

The first day Ranboo M. Beloved brings his car into the shop, Tubbo gains two impressions of him. One, he has what might be a contender for the world’s ugliest expensive car. Two, he’s definitely getting his money from something illegal.
-- tubbo is a mechanic, and he's pretty sure the new regular at the shop is mixed up in, like, the mafia or something. silliness ensues.
4k, tubbo-centric, complete. a gift i made for @misotofu as part of the fic in a box exchange! :]

I think that sometimes when people in fandom hear other fandom folks tell them to "please read other stuff besides fanfiction" they feel like that is rooted in some kind of insult to fanfiction. A belief that is inferior to "real" books. And while I can't guarantee that no one means it like that, most do not. Because the advice is true, but not because of that.
I'm thinking of the Hideaki Anno interview where, upon being asked for advice in getting into the anime industry, he said "my best advice to you as a creator is to please have diverse interests in things besides animation."
That man made Neon Genesis Evangelion. Do you think he hates animation? Do you think he sees no value in it as a medium? Clearly that's not the answer.
No, the answer is that only ever interacting with one kind of art, no matter what it is, is always going to be limiting. You should know how to love multiple things in multiple ways. And that goes for fanfiction, your favorite genre of original books, movies, anime, paintings, anything. Hell, it goes beyond art and into your other interests, hobbies, and the people you interact with.
No one can ever graps the full spectrum of human experience, obviously, but you should be able to find beauty and enjoyment from different sources. You need it. You can't sustain yourself on only one meal forever, no matter how tasty or nutricious. You need variety.
If you find yourself only getting your sustenance from a single source, please try to find another. It could be anything, there are so many ways to attain meaning, but find one.

I think people writing self-inserts and self-indulgent pieces is awesome and a great way to create a story and explore writing. I don't think there's anything wrong with it whatsoever and I think people (especially young women) get way too much unwarranted shit for it. But discussions around so many posts about this topic so quickly turn into "when you really think about it every character is a self-insert" and/or "all writing is self-indulgent" and I'm just like... no... you had me, and now you've lost me.

This is actually hilarious that the showrunner's definition of "not shock value, not frivolous, and emotionally resonant" are:
1. Zarah: was killed off towards the end of the first episode; an episode that established the relatively idyllic and peaceful life in New Eden, and her death was both a catalyst and unexpected. But not shock value? Not frivolous, when all it was was to fridge her so that Layton could have a storyline and Liana could have one mom and one dad instead of two moms and a dad? Sorry but I don't think it's even emotionally resonant given the whole fridging thing and also how anticlimactically the baby plot was resolved (and quite frankly Layton should've actually gone rogue, it would've been somewhat of a better plot)
2. Wilford: killed off the same episode he was revealed to be totally cold resistant. Barely did anything this season; given how wild his death was he probably should've been killed at the end of S3 instead of thrown into the wasteland because what was the point???? I don't even like this character and I'm mad on behalf of his fans his death was so goddamn stupid. How is him willingly smoking a poisoned blunt to spite Layton by killing himself before Layton can kill him not shock value (after seeing his cold resistance)? Or not frivolous, when he wasn't even really doing anything this season before he died? Or emotionally resonant?
In conclusion:

Devastating headcanon alert!
Maglor looks more like a son of Fingolfin than a son of Feanor.
When Feanor starts to become paranoid of Fingolfin, imagine that he doubts Maglor's loyalty, since the banishment to Tuna- despite Maglor being loyal then- until they reach Middle Earth and he challenges his second son's loyalty.
"Burn the ships!"
And ever-loyal Maglor obeys.
