Hmm, that’s a good question. So, since I’m kind of in my Hermitcraft arc I’ll talk about them- I have this big huge playlist of season 9 that I try to work my way through, prioritizing some over others just to keep up with storylines. But xB and Beef are two that i have kind of fell behind on, and every time I watch one of their videos I’m like hooooly shit they’re great. I literally started watching an xB video today because I needed to have some xBcrafted in my life. Outside of videos, I’m having a similar thing with The Adventure Zone podcast. I love TAZ and need to get into the most recent campaign, but I’m working my way through The Magnus Archives. Ugh there’s so much Media to watch

Here are all of my grumpus sexuality and gender headcanons nobody asked for! 💕✨🏳️‍🌈

Filbo- transmasc pan romantic asexual. Gets extremely flustered by sexual stuff.

Beffica- bisexual, definitely prefers women tho

Lizbert- transfem lesbian

Eggabell- transfem lesbian. Supplies Snaxburg with whatever hormones everyone needs, being a doctor.

Wambus- a lil bisexual but only has eyes for Triffany

Triffany- bisexual but only loves Wambus

Cromdo- gay man. Married his wife because of comphet and pure obligation/convenience.

Gramble- he/him lesbian. Wears a binder because top surgery freaks him out too much

Wiggle- canonically pansexual

Chandlo- canonically bisexual; transmasc, he got all the tboy swag

Snorpy- gay man; cis but literally the most supportive boyfriend a trans guy can ask for. Was with him every step of the way during his transition. Took him to doctors appointments, got binders, helped pick out a name for him, arranged for Floofty to do his top surgery, etc

Floofty: demiromantic lesbian but an extremely tough nut to crack in the romantic attraction department. Definitely transmasc leaning but their gender presentation more or less depends on how they feel any given day. Did their own top surgery and takes t. If you misgender them, they won’t hesitate to correct you in the snottiest, most condescending way possible

Shelda: Aro Ace. Just generally indifferent to romance/sexuality because she dedicates so much time to Mother Nature.

Alegander- demiboy. Too poor for top surgery, wears a binder but desperately wants better health insurance to cover it.

Journalist- pan, doesn’t lean any particular way in terms of gender

18. What work of yours do you go back to admire again the most?

This is pretty recent, but it's that one! There are a few other ones that I like too, but for that one especially I like the writing. I think Milek sounds like he's the age he's supposed to be and I sometimes struggle an unreasonable amount with dialogue. (Honestly, the hardest part for me isn't the drawing - it's the writing! Which I feel is sometimes kind of 'invisible', because it seems the focus is more on the visuals, but..)

I wonder if any of the bat kids are legacies or half bloods? Like, they'd be ripe for urgent adoption and training, given the inherent risk of monsters! Not to mention the specially bred deep rooted battle/hero instincts. Would only some be half bloods? Any? How would that affect the dynamics, to have some (or just B) be aware of and able to interact with this whole secret world complete with monsters hidden in plain sight?? There's got to be tons of secret pjo resource stashes like different metals, foods, weapons, armour hidden everywhere hehe.

Ooh, would a bat kid ever have accidentally eaten ambrosia/nectar (or gotten close) without knowing what it is? Is Alfred a legacy?? A satyr?!! That'd be so so cool. (and it'd be an explanation for how long lived he is lmao)

If the batkids were all legacies/half bloods, who would be who? Would there be a mix of greek/roman? Is Bruce aware of the Egyptians or Norse lot?? I'm so curioussssss

ooo okay so the batkids! i explained it like... a year ago (jeez) in this post but here's the basic rundown:

Bruce: Athena (three parents, complicated situation)

Dick: Hermes (three parents, uncomplicated situation)

Babs: mortal, clearsighted, not The Oracle but calls herself Oracle

Jason: Nemesis (still working this one out)

Cass: Shiva/Nike, raised by David Cain

Tim: Bellona/Janet (who is a legacy of zeus)

Steph: Apollo

Damian: Legacy Athena/Hades

Duke: normal ("normal") meta but everyone up to and including Apollo thinks he's Apollo's kid

There are definitely stashes of demigod resources! most of the stock is in the Batcave, but they definitely have stashes in all the safehouses. They're basically like any other resource- medical supplies, celestial bronze dagger, batarangs, smoke pellets, ambrosia, etc. Considering that celestial bronze and nectar/ambrosia are pretty rare, i doubt they're using them daily, but everyone definitely has emergency demigod equipment on them. I'm also making Gotham a Land Beyond Gods, a la Alaska in SoN, so there's less of a monster problem than other cities. Gotham kinda like the trash dump of the demigod world- all the weird fucked up stuff ends up there for our intrepid heroes to get chased by.

Most of the Batkids are aware of who they are, eventually! Bruce, Cass, and Damian always know, Dick and Jason figure it out pretty quickly after living with Bruce, Tim figures it out himself before becoming Robin, and Steph only figures it out after she "dies" (poor guy). Bruce isn't very good with the Mist, and monsters aren't like, a huge problem in Gotham, so it's not really a big deal to them if they are/aren't demigods. Babs kept up just fine as a mortal, after all. Like i said earlier, ambrosia/nectar are in short supply in Gotham (bruce doesn't really have a consistent way of getting more besides through diana, who also doesnt really have a consistent way of getting more), so nobody's eating any by accident.

I have literally no idea what's going on with Alfred. I joked a while back that he's a minor god, which I'm not opposed to, I'd just have to work that one out a bit more. The satyr idea is fun and works really well, except imagining Alfred with goat legs and eating aluminum cans freaks me out and I don't know what to do about that. He could also just be a mortal blessed by [insert god here] to have a longer lifespan, or someone who made a deal with [insert god here] to be alive as long as Bruce/the Wayne family needs him. It'll be interesting to figure out, whenever I end up doing that!

Bruce and Co. are NOT aware of the other pantheons! As in, they are so unaware of the other pantheons that nobody can figure out who the fuck Tim's godly parent is. Bellona is on nobody's radar, everyone is split between Ares/Dionysus/Athena/????. They also haven't figured out he's a Zeus legacy, because his ancestor fled to Gotham during WW2 and then did their best to hide their heritage for their and their kids' safety. Poor guy doesn't know what the fuck is going on, basically. Bruce is actually pretty cut off from CHB, so he's not super up-to-date about the demigod world. He tends to focus more on the superhero side of things. His kids have varying levels of interest/affiliation with the demigods, but they're definitely not on the "first to know" end of news whenever things happen. It takes a hot minute for anyone to figure out the Romans exist, and considering that Percy and Annabeth try pretty hard to conceal the Egyptian and presumably Norse pantheons, we can assume the Batfam isn't aware of those guys for quite a bit after the Greeks learn about them.

Hey Doodlers! Exciting news- we're nearly finished with assignments!

After a lot of hard work on our end and patience from you, we're finally nearing the end of assignments. Which is so exciting!! We'll 100% be finished by the end of the day today, and will be sending them out tomorrow, January 5th, since it's getting pretty late for us and we want to be alert to make sure sending goes smoothly.

Thank you all for your kindness in dealing with the delays, we deeply appreciate it. We'll post when assignments start sending, and then post again when they're all sent out. We hope you're all as stoked as we are- go Doodlers!

By the way, about LCSyS, how are you dealing with the whole 'Es plurality' situation? Because it is a central part of their character that gets brought up on multiple voice dramas and seems really difficult to remove. Also, it is implied that some of our judgements may be our if character for Es because they seem pretty uncertain about it. For example, some people including myself suspect that if Es wasn't controlled by the audience they would have voted Mahiru innocent because they appear somewhat fond of her and would probably have not jumped to stalker based on no evidence (kinda bullshit people thought that anyway but whatever). This was asked by someone who is insane about Es and thinks about them constantly, BTW.

Ah, well I appreciate an Es expert (Espert?) weighing in on it!! :D

Because that element is very central to both them and the plot, even if it hasn’t been fully explored yet. Like you said, there are a lot of events that rely on these “other” voices, some actions and decisions that they themself seem unsure of! Not to mention their own dialogue using a plural first person pronoun! I’m already trying to distance the au from the audience interaction element, so I’ve definitely kept my eye on the plural Es theory >:3 

Since we have little to work with, I’ve tried to keep them pretty vague in the fic so far. They don’t appear in a lot of it because of plot reasons (everything is the same as canon to them, most of the time). And even in their pov chapter I try to steer thoughts and emotions directly to the prison. I only mention their identity near the end to make everyone say “Hmmmm we don't know who you are and neither do you!” Now, I'm prepared for three main options for endings: 1. There is a non-system, in-universe explanation for the voices. 2. The voices are directly confirmed as the audience. 3. Yamanka states that he hates me, personally, and doesn’t explain anything about Es. If it’s the first one, I’ll see how well it works into my fic and go from there! (If it’s overly supernatural/involves Es disappearing/dying, I might make some tweaks lmao. I’m committed to accuracy but this is a fix-it, at the end of the day.) For the second two, I plan on leaning into plural Es, with research and input from others to make the writing accurate 👍I’m hoping to go back revise earlier sections to drop more hints and make things consistent. I also want to write an epilogue once we get more context on the ending as a whole! Though, I guess they've already confirmed some feeling of plurality... maybe I add some lines in that last chapter now...

Noticed something that really came to my attention in the new Sanders Aside video that I wanted to share but, Patton stimming!!!

It was kind of made more obvious to me in this video because when he finally reaches the handmade card from Janus he goes to move his hands to his mouth, but before he dies this he wiggles them!!! And he’s kinda bouncing from one foot to the other!!!! And he’s doin his giggles!!!!

Dunno just made me really happy to see in this video, now I wanna go back and see just how much I missed bc I wasn’t looking for it
