Pues... solo quiero escribir esto como un desahogo, según yo quería retomar el publicar ideas o wips que se me estaban juntando pero vaya, las cosas no salen como se planean.

Por todo un año el Deathduo, Pissa y Death family se volvieron mi espacio seguro, eso que me daba mi dosis de felicidad, fue un camino lindo donde junto con otros tantos me emocioné por los eventos y soñábamos con la constante reunión de la familia funcional 💙

Creo que en ese mismo cariño uno olvida que esas cosas no serán eternas y por eso sentí el golpe emocional de que Lullah y Chay estaban despidiéndose, lloré un poco no voy a mentir jaja... aunque esto no significa un final rotundo, si, quizás la forma en que los veíamos constantemente en los directos ya no volverá pero viendo a tanta gente creativa aquí es que mi consuelo ahora será que entre nosotros mantendremos viva a esa pequeña y feliz familia.

No voy a mentir, ahorita estoy noqueada emocionalmente y mis ganas de escribir tardarán un poquito en regresar pero aquí me quedaré, tanto por las personitas en discord que hace rato me subieron el ánimo y compartieron ideas para sus fanfics como por la gente de aquí, que aún si no he convivido mucho, también me suben el ánimo con sus fanarts o escritos. Enserio, amo mucho a esta comunidad, gracias por tanto y perdón por tan poco 💕

Y claro, muchas gracias por este año, Chay, Lullah, Philza y Missa... gracias por su hermosa representación como familia, gracias por hacer que con algo tan simple volviera a tener interés en escribir y pensar en tantos AU's donde seguirán juntos.

(Biggie and Benny, for example...) they don't look the exact same and they don't have the same stories, but fundamentally they are the same person. i played around with the multiverse. Even Peter looks different from a lot of Peter Parker variants. Sort of like how the three Peter Parkers in the one Holland movie are Peter, but all look different. Have any of you guys ever been doodling when suddenly you’re hit by the angstiest idea ever and so you start workshopping that idea into an au as an alternate timeline to see if it would fit with the au only to create an absolutely heartbreaking and depression inducing scenario, only for your brain to decide that’s not enough and end up creating that same scenario in your two other main aus so that you end up with three deeply traumatized versions of the same character?

We have a post-Everything Goes To Shit arc Scythe, around January ‘24 Bloody, and a post-Second Takeover Harvest. You may notice I called them by their actual names and not by their usual [insert trait here]!BM names, and that’s on purpose.

See, due to various circumstances in each of their respective timelines, their twins died.

They’ve all taken it very harshly, but express it in different ways, Scythe is more reserved yet more ruthless in her anger, Bloody has become extremely disconnected from everything, and Harvest is an anxious wreck. All their reactions are directly correlated to their twins’ death and how they perceived it.

Anyways, yeah.

If I knew how to edit videos at all I would love to make a video essay on BoTW + ToTK and how it helps players process grief.

Both games do an astounding job of capturing why it’s so damn hard to let go of the past, how different people handle loss, and how death of the body doesn’t necessarily mean influence + impact dies with the person.

Doing the final grind for ending ToTK is making me feel and think about a lot of things ;;;

hi! sorry i haven't posted publicly about it much, i have bad anxiety about "not posting if it's not art/people don't like that/will dislike you" etc, but! very good news. he did have surgery and a tiny metal plate fixed in, and has been recovering really well! he's pretty much back to 100% now in energy, and has a final xray in a couple of weeks! the cost was fucking insane so my family has started pet insurance for him lmao

I think I mentioned a while back I'd post nibling frog momence after the gift's done given. which happened on the 2nd this month I just forgot lmao. anyways we can do it now. I used the boigameista pattern scaled up to four pieces of A4 print paper and decided to double deck it to a two layer thing, not unlike a pillow, for ease of washin. because it was gonna be gifted to a one year old child

took a long time and made a number of mistakes bc hand sewing makes me worse as a person but this guy was done in time for the birthday occasion and that's what matters. chose non-fuzzy fabrics for it because we live in a dense city in the tropics and from personal experience if I hug something made of fur I would explode. the original plan included felt patterns on its back for bonus textures for baby but that wouldn't stretch well along with the rest of the thing so had to hold that back. eventually we got this

zipper across its ass, the coat type of zipper bc I miscalculated when ordering. but it did have a shape and that's all that matters to me. will be a fun game for the baby to grow up and be severely misinformed about what a frog looks like

Do you have any thoughts on what Meilin’s mother was like? She’s such a source of untapped potential in canon. What happened to her spirit animal? Does General Teng share stories about her with Meilin? Do she and Abeke bond over losing their mothers at such a young age? I feel like she’s one of the many many things the authors forgot about :(

Yes! I agree, we really missed out on learning about Meilin's mom. I haven't developed her too much yet, but I'll tell you what I do know.

I currently have her name as Qianyue (骞月), but that is subject to change. Her spirit animal was a yellow-throated marten named Sujia. She was only twenty years old when she died giving birth to Meilin.

Qianyue did not get the chance to become a Greencloak, as her betrothal to Teng was arranged quite soon after her Nectar Ceremony. She was no warrior, conforming to what Zhong expected of women in that period, but Meilin desperately wishes she knew her. Everything she knows about Qianyue came from General Teng and her maternal grandparents. They told her she was clever and artistic but solitary, spending long hours in the garden of their mansion with Sujia by her side, lost in her own thoughts. With the guidance of her Marked parents, Qianyue spent much time working on her bond, too, learning to channel Sujia's speed and agility. Had her circumstances been different, she could have made a fine Greencloak. Teng always expressed that he loved her deeply, and she him, and Meilin doesn't doubt that -- but she sometimes wonders if her mother felt unhappy in her life. Married so young, unable to choose her own path, and on her deathbed five years later. It's not a life Meilin would have wanted.

Sujia survived the initial loss of her human partner and lived in agony for several more years. She was allowed to roam the family mansion freely and wanted for nothing in terms of comfort, but she never found peace. She retreated into herself and, over time, started to act more like a common animal. Finally, when Meilin was six, she refused all food and fasted to death. Meilin's memories of her are hazy, but she remembers being very little and sitting with her as she gazed wistfully into the garden where Qianyue used to walk, stroking her fur, encouraging her to eat with offerings of fruit, asking her what her mother was like. Sujia, of course, couldn't reply. When she died, it devastated Meilin. Sujia was her closest connection to her mother, and it felt like Qianyue was dying all over again.

Meilin grieves for her mother in a strange way, given that she never knew her, and that she herself was the cause of her death. That's a fact that has always been difficult for her to reckon with, even if she knows it was not her fault.

The nature of Qianyue's death has shadowed Meilin her whole life. It has left her with a fear of pregnancy and childbirth, and is one of the reasons why she and Rollan decide to adopt in adulthood.
