omg stop :(( it could even be something small, like teaching rickon how to make and throw a proper snowball.

you had grown up with siblings in the north — and both hands weren’t enough to count the times you had an all out war the day after fresh snow. walking back indoors afterwards, sitting round the fires’ hearth while recalling with laughter how your brother had slipped on ice, or how you and your sister had managed to sneak up on your eldest sibling. yes — snowball fights were something all northerners looked back on with fond nostalgia.

and with or without siblings, you intended for rickon to learn all about such matters.

i can picture it sooo vividly. you and cregan, freshly married, going about your separate ways during the day — and him stumbling upon quite a sight in the afternoon.

perhaps he wanted to spend the small free time he had with rickon, or you for lunch. perhaps it was just coincidence that brought him upon the courtyard the day after fresh snow.

but here he was; and here you were.

rickon, giggling madly as you shaped the snowball in his small hands. cregan could hear your voice, laced with childlike glee, ordering your sworn shield to remain still. if brought before the gods, cregan would attest to the twitch of the knights lips — to the faint smile upon them.

it is a clumsy throw, brought about with untrained muscles and even less coordination. but your knight remains dutifully still, and it lands upon his lower visage.

cregan feels much like the knight now. a smile wears itself on his lips, and cregan could not tell you when it appeared if his life depended on it. love doesn’t explain itself like that.

he watches just long enough to see rickon tackle you with a fierce hug, and for you to return it without the faintest trace of hesitancy. he’s now aware of his smile when he walks away — and he makes no effort to wipe it from his features.

and when you both tuck rickon into bed later that night (he specifically requested you with his father), as he tells cregan of his day in the snow, you have the faintest blush on your cheeks. that same very smile returns to his lips; it seems intent on not being kept at bay.

you both whisper goodnights to the little lordling as you close the door, and as soon as you do — turning to cregan — his mouth captures yours in a kiss so sweet it reminds you of the pastries stolen from the kitchen by lord & lady stark when sleep can’t be found. you sigh into him, and it somehow makes cregan fall even more hopelessly in love with you.

Lex woke up to the sounds of slamming cabinets. He found Phantom rummaging through his kitchen, doors and drawers in varying degrees of open, and bags of coffee and tea were scattered on the countertops.

“What are you doing?”

“How is it that a man as rich as you only has milk, coffee, and tea in the entire kitchen?! Do you not snack? Or make any food at all?” Phantom whined.

“No, I simply order it from the cooks downstairs and they bring it up.” Lex sighed. “I thought you didn't have to eat? Why are you ravinging the kitchen like a starved raccoon?”

Phantom snorted. “You gave a mouse a cookie.”

“More like fed a Gremlin after midnight it seems.” Lex muttered as Phantom started scavenging again. “STOP THAT!” He shouted as Phantom launched a toaster that had not been taken out of its box across the room.

Lex sent an order for an assortment of muffins to be brought up.

The rest of the morning was easy chatter, Lex found out through a very intense rant over food that Phantom despises toast, hotdogs, and Thanksgiving turkeys. He prefers energy drinks, burgers, and apple pie with cheese on top. The little heathen.

Their argument over the pie was cut short by Mercy over the intercom.

“Mr. Luthor, the reporter's are here. Should I direct them to meeting room 5?”

Lex walked over to the same panel in the living room wall and responded. “Yes, Mercy. I will be down in a moment.”

“Where is your please and thank you?” Phantom admonished.

Lex gave the child a glare.

oh man you've GOT to join the competition for my hand in marriage. yeah it's really convoluted. yeah there are a lot of inane tasks. yeah a lot of them are trick questions that really test your wit over your strength or wealth. it's--yeah it's a whole thing. you do have to catch the village cat with the keys to my bedroom around her neck. yeah the cat is me, as a shapeshifter. yes it's actually a test of how kindly you treat those you need in order to gain something you want. it's a whole allegory. it's a whole thing.

So it's been almost a year I joined -officially- the YoI fandom and just this morning I was beyond surprised I hit a milestone on AO3 over the weekend, so right now it's a little bit more than the square number. This has been such a wild, exciting and fun ride being part of the community but also having the honor of reading other amazing authors in the YoI fandom. And on a more personal note: This has been a lifeline for me. This year, I suffered two losses quite suddenly and when everything around me was shattering and life demanded me to be the rock of my loved ones. Returning to writing and drawing, being creative, Yuri!!! On Ice and some amazing people in the fandom (which some of them now I have the luck of now calling friends) was what kept me sane through depression, grief and a world that keeps spinning and doesn't wait for pain to be over.

To celebrate, I wanted to make some -quick, not detailed and made in between meetings- art with one of my headcanons for a slightly younger/early 20's/ Viktor:

• In the off-season (at least at some point just when he first cut his hair to make a transformation to wow the audience) Viktor often let his hair grow for some months. And so he would start to look more flowy. I kind of seeing him taking on this look after he retires because OF COURSE he won't get bald, and OF COURSE he would want to remind himself about his very flowy, very incredible hair every morning.

I'm writing a teen Viktor fanfiction that is inspired by how much we all still want to know about Viktor's early life. And also, will connect to teen Yuuri soon! If this is your kind of story, you can READ HERE
