They say a flushed face evokes innocence and genuineness, someone honest with their emotions. And is aesthetically lovely. It's the only way Cater can sum up about how much he likes to make you flustered or say anything that could bring out that cute shade of pink to your face;

Not that Cater is flirting with you all the time — well, not all the time. Anything he says is pretty casual and simple, but it makes your heart beat fast for no reason. What really gets you, however, are the compliments he gives;

Any little thing you do, Cater appears behind you to say how much “it's so cute”, “amazing, gorgeous, fantastic”, “wow, you are the best” and laugh at your static, embarrassed expression. It's even harder when you two are around others because you try to hide your face behind Cater’s arm and try to hit him with your free hand for being so cheesy and causing all this mess;

Worse than that is only when he takes some hidden photos of you and only then you realize it. You complain about not being photogenic enough but Cater firmly disagrees. You are such a cutie sweetie pie that deserves to be eternalized!;

But he doesn’t post any of these photos without your permission. Perhaps one day you will look at one particular photo and want to even personally show it to your friends but, in general, Cater keeps all these memories in a special folder in his gallery app. Just for him and you to see, which makes it all the more special;

It is necessary to admit that Cater controls himself to the maximum so as not to squeeze your cheeks when you make a flustered face, your cheeks red as it can be. You keep looking cute like that and his heart will go crazy — you heard this phrase from him more than once;

But Cater knows what it's like to have his face squeezed incessantly just for the sake of being cute — a trauma acquired from his older sisters — and for your sake and his own, he won't do anything of the sort. He doesn't want to seem annoying or bothersome about it so you don't get annoyed with him. Not that this would even happen but to be safe, you prefer not to say anything;

Hugs are Cater’s most powerful weapons to disarm you in any situation. Sometimes you are very anxious or worried about something, situations that seem like they are going to drive you insane. And all you need most at the moment is a motivational gesture from Cay-kun~ to assure you that everything will be fine!;

Not that you survive long after that. In fact, the effectiveness of his hugs is that for a moment, worries are thrown out the window because you register that Cater has his arms around you and it's so comfortable to be around him... and embarrassing. In the words of Trey, “Cater finished breaking you”;

Ideally? You two are a little too different from each other, especially when it comes to how to deal with things. But Cater has his flustered moments, you just need to figure out what really messes with him to balance things out. But aesthetically? You’re perfect and wonderful for him. Like and subscribed!;

One thing that catches Cater by surprise are the times where you mustered up all your courage to say a very sentimental and cheesy thing with a serious and determined face. Cater’s heart snaps, his cheeks turn red and he looks away, smiling weakly, the silence between you keeping the situation peaceful. Especially since you’re dying in your corner yourself.

It would be a lie if Jade said he isn’t amused by your flustered expressions. Not sometimes but always. Call him sadistic and mean all you want, it just makes that velvet giggle of his sound louder. Jade easily figured out that you don't need much to color your cute cheeks with a bright rose red and that's just with one look from him;

Maybe it's a cruel pleasure — well, when it comes to Jade, it definitely is — but it’s also something really hard to explain anyway. There is something inherently fun about teasing the emotions of someone like you. There is no point in complaining too much about it;

When you two start dating, you end up following Jade in most of the things he does. You make terrariums together, he takes you to the mountains and teaches you about what he learned, and sometimes you work together in the Mostro Lounge’s kitchen. Jade’s day is only perfect when you look away for a second, your entire face on fire;

The question is: do you get flustered f with everything or does Jade do everything to embarrass you? A little difficult to answer. You might wonder about this because Jade started setting up joint terrariums and joking that the fungi making a family in there could be the two of you one day — take it as you please;

Or on visits to the mountains, Jade gets close enough to you to show you more clearly the mushrooms he is studying, almost hearing your heart pounding in your chest. His sly ways are so revolting. You threaten to hit him sometimes but your weak and nervous little knuckles in his chest only entertains him more;

The worst is perhaps while you help him prepare dishes at Mostro Lounge and he covers you with compliments even when you do something small and simple. The students look at you enviously because Jade almost never compliments anyone and all this attention makes your stomach flutter;

“Oh, I don't do this just because, you know,” Jade swears. But you know that relying on his particular humor would be unwise. You ask him to be at least a little considerate of your nerves and he jokes about trying to bargain this exchange. If you beg him with a cute face, he could think of your case...;

Part of Jade’s practice in knowing what might embarrass someone comes from observing the way Azul’s family dealt with him — and that he had absorbed in the few times he managed to visit the Ashengrotto’s. You can imagine how using this informations must affect Azul when Jade needs him to do something;

You, Azul and Riddle are constant victims of Jade’s measured words. Trey ends up hearing one thing or another very occasionally. The three boys were sad to realize that it wasn't because Jade was dating you that they would stop being teased when there was an opportunity. As Jade has explained before, it's a really fun thing to do;

Not that you don't try to say something for a change. You try, but you fail almost every time. Jade is an emotionally strong merman. Mere flirting, pick-up lines or a few stories from the past — that you bribed Floyd to tell you — do not shake or embarrass him. But once you got a win;

On an exploration through the mountains, you found some mushrooms and you locked your gaze on one in particular. It was of a different species and had a cut at the top cap that, because it was folded, looked like a lock of side hair. “Look, Jade, it looks like you,” you joked and promised to guard and take care of it in your terrarium. It was the first time you saw Jade’s cheeks turn pink.

There's a lot about your relationship that doesn't make sense to people. But perhaps your shyness is one of the clearest points in common. It’s also the cutest and funniest thing — at least, according to Ortho's kind heart. At least, you've found someone who understands you better than anyone else at this point;

Idia never thought that one day he would meet someone as shy as him. Well, you felt too pressured by people and he felt overwhelmed — and tired — of them. All Idia ever cried out for was a space alone where he could be at peace, without noisy and annoying extroverts;

In this, you appeared as this surprise SSR card that he wasn't expecting to get. Do you have any idea how impressive it is for Idia? Although he would never have the courage to say something so nice like that. Simple compliments or positive grumbles already made you burn brighter than the Sun and he didn’t understand how this was possible;

Was it for him, Idia Shroud, to feel like the main lead guy of a shoujo? One of those that has a pink background with crystalline bubbles appears behind him with red roses blooming around? That all people want to have merch? The most beloved character in the anime? That's only because your face turned pink when you waved at each other in the hallway;

All these emotions are too much for both of you. You like to stop and watch Idia play games from time to time, but when he looks at you suddenly, you look away quickly to try to hide your flustered face. Idia tries to disguise and pretend he didn't notice anything, but the pink flames in his hair give him away;

Things are a little easier when you communicate by messages — or apparently it is so. Although the answers sometimes take a little while, a cute message from Idia makes your heart warm and you move too much in bed, trying to contain this emotion. “Idia is so amazing, how can he not notice?!”, is what you think;

On the other side of the screen, Idia can feel his own face red as fire. He could fry an egg on his own head. He takes time to type things carefully and ensure a balance between being himself and not being his “so pathetic and weird” self. But when you respond enthusiastically or say something nice, he loses control. He can only make strange noises and wonder who blessed you with such a pro-gamer ability to be so cute?;

Exchanging gifts is a very risky and difficult situation. You both get bogged down in words, stumble over sentences and stutter enough to make an alphabet soup. You are like a couple from an old romance anime, where the animation team spent different shades of red only on your faces;

Even if it's hard to put into words, you like to show Idia that you support him and believe in him. For a solid moment, you’re energetic and motivating. Then you realize the scared way he's staring at you and you turn into an embarrassed mess, not knowing what else to say. Then it's Idia's turn to try to cheer you up and tell you that you’re too good for him. The cycle repeats;

There is something strangely endearing about the smiles Idia gives without realizing it. You don't get tired of noticing and thinking about it. He does this when he likes something or keeps trying to call Lucius and Grim when no one is looking. His giggles are the most precious thing in the world. Idia wouldn't know what to say if you revealed how much you gush about him to yourself, delighted with everything he does;

It was a special day, you had gathered to play video games together in Idia's room. Everything was going well until your elbows touched, then you looked at each other and were embarrassed at the same time. Somehow, Idia managed to pass the level. “Congrats,” you celebrated, hugging his arm. “I-Idia?” Congratulations to you... you broke the poor shy thing.

Hello! I was wondering if you could write some headcanons of the brothers with a disabled (visible or invisible disability) for Disability Pride month.

If not that’s completely okay, thank you! :)

I love this idea very much. I'm gonna try my best to generalize this as much as possible so that everyone can feel included, but I will still be basing it off of my/my friends' own experiences.

Brothers with Disabled MC

Lucifer

I mean this in the absolute nicest way, but Lucifer doesn’t really care all that much about your disability

Now, obviously he cares in the sense that he’ll do anything to make you feel comfortable in the Devildom and whatnot

But he doesn’t treat you any different just because you’re disabled

He just treats you like he would anyone else, and he almost never brings it up unless he has a question relating to your disability

However, he is still very protective over you, and will not hesitate to punish anyone who makes fun of you or harms you in any way

Since he also has a lot of power in the Devildom, he can easily make any changes necessary if you might be struggling somehow

If you have a mental disability that makes you learn at a different rate or a certain way, he’ll make sure you have the best teachers and tutors to suit your needs, or he’ll just teach you himself

Or if you have a physical disability that requires you to have a wheelchair or some sort of walking aid, he can have ramps installed across campus to make it easier on you

All around just a very practical person

Mammon

Your number one supporter and guard dog

He’s definitely the type to hype you up if you’re ever feeling insecure about your disability, whether physical or mental, visible or invisible

Also the type to absolutely obliterate anyone who tries to make you feel inferior just because you have a disability

Mammon may not be the most helpful, but he tries his best

He’ll get you whatever you need, and he offers all of his support to you

Especially if you have dysgraphia or something similar, since he’s great at math and could easily help you

And if you have any other sort of learning disability, he’ll make sure one of his brothers helps you out, depending on the subject

If you have a physical disability, he’s with you 24/7 to make sure you’re not in any pain, even if said disability isn’t painful

He may not always understand your disability and how it works, but he’s more than happy to learn about it if it’ll make you happy

Leviathan

Levi is also pretty chill when it comes to your disability

The only times he ever really brings it up is if he found some anime or game character with a similar disability to yours

Denies it if you ask, but Levi totally goes looking for media that highlights your disability in the hopes that it might make you feel more included

But besides that, your disability rarely comes up with him

It’s not because he never wants to talk about it, he just doesn’t see it as something that needs to be constantly brought up for no reason

Of course, if you wanna talk about it, he’ll be more than happy to listen, especially if you have concerns or issues regarding your disability

For him, it’s just another part of you, and he doesn’t treat you much differently just because you have a disability

And while he doesn’t usually speak up in council meetings, if you have any complaints about the school not catering to your needs, Levi will bring them up for you

Honestly, he’s probably also the best to go to if you have some sort of speech impediment

Levi hardly likes talking unless it comes to otaku stuff, and when he is talking about his hobbies, he never shuts up

So, if you’re not very good at talking, you can either sit in silence with Levi while he games, or he can do all of the talking for you while ranting about his current obsession

Satan

Besides Lucifer, Satan is probably the most well-informed about human disabilities

Of course, he’s no expert, but he likes to think he’s done a good job of studying up on as many visible and invisible disabilities

If you happen to have a disability Satan isn’t familiar with, he’ll ask you tons of questions (if you’re comfortable with it)

He’ll also do research on his own time, studying both books and the internet

He’s more curious than anything since he does enjoy learning, but he’d never be too invasive if it makes you upset

Satan is also one of the most outspoken when it comes to making sure you have all of the proper necessities

If you need help walking or moving around, he’s going to be with you as much as possible to ensure you’re walking okay, even if you already have a walking aid

Or if you have a speech impediment, he’ll make sure you’re in a safe environment that helps you feel more comfortable talking

He’s also one of the smartest brothers, so if you have a hard time keeping up in classes, he’ll offer to tutor you in any and all subjects

Most likely (besides Mammon) to fight someone for making fun of you or attempting to harm you in any way

Asmodeus

Asmo is another example of a great hype man

He has a very strong policy against discriminating against someone just because of a disability, and he is very vocal about it

Not the most educated about disabilities in general, but he is more than happy to learn if you’ll teach him

Like most of his brothers, Asmo doesn’t really treat you any different just because of your disability

To him, you’re just you, and he loves everything about you

If you ever feel insecure about your disability, visible or invisible, he will make sure you know how much he (and his brothers) absolutely adore you, and they wouldn’t change anything about you

I feel like Asmo would be especially fond of you if you have some kind of physical disability

Not in a weird way or anything, don’t get me wrong; he’s just the type to appreciate all bodies, no matter how they look or function

And if you happen to have a disability that makes it hard to find clothes to wear, he’ll take you shopping and find you some custom-made outfits that suit you perfectly

May not go and physically fight someone who bullies you, but he will make sure they can never see the light of day again by brutally shaming them on every social platform available in the Devildom

Since Asmo has a lot of influence, he uses his platform to encourage business owners (and people in general) to be more inclusive to disabled people, like adding in ramps/elevators, or having braille and sign language options for the blind and deaf, etc.

Beelzebub

Probably not the most informed about human disabilities, but he’s trying his best to learn for your sake

Beel is honestly such a sweetheart any time he asks you to explain something he doesn’t understand, and he’s always making sure nothing he says/does is offensive towards you

If you have a disability that makes it hard to walk or tires you out quickly, he is there to carry you anywhere your heart desires

I think Beel would be the most helpful if your disability somehow involves food

If you have a tendency to overeat like he does, he’ll help you find ways to distract yourself like how his brothers helped him

Or if you undereat, Beel makes sure you eat at least one meal a day, if nothing else

Always carries extra snacks on hand, both for you and himself

Also really nice to chill with if you have a hard time with speech

Whether you have a speech impediment or you just have other issues with talking, Beel si more than happy to just chill in silence with you

He’s not super talkative either, so he doesn’t mind the two of you sitting in a room and not talking

Or maybe if you wanna get better at talking, Beel wouldn’t mind listening to you and helping you practice

The best listener out of all the brothers, so he’s great to practice with

Belphegor

To know one’s surprise, Belphie is really good at helping you out if you have some sort of sleeping disorder, or if your disability makes sleeping difficult

If you have trouble staying awake like he does, Belphie has a few ways he can stay up, if only for a bit, and he’s be more than happy to share with you

Or if you have trouble falling asleep, he does know quite a few spells to help you sleep

Similarly, if you deal with any sort of chronic pain, his sleep spells can often double as pain relief to help soothe your body for a bit

He won’t admit it, but Belphie is pretty familiar with lots of human disabilities since he used to be so obsessed with humans, so chances are that he’s already well-versed on what disability you have

Also, since you’re probably learning magic during your stay in the Devildom, he offers to teach you all of the spells he uses on you so that you can use them once you leave

He’s not really one to outwardly hype you up like some of his brothers, but he is there for you, and he’s ready to support you no matter what

One of the brothers most likely to just straight-up kill someone for upsetting/making fun of you

I really hope y’all enjoy this one. It’s probably not 100% accurate since I am not the most familiar with lots of disabilities, but I did try my best. I also tried to be as inclusive as possible, so it might be a little vague in some parts, but I promise that’s intentional.

Marry me?

Whenever the thought of proposing crosses Idia’s mind, he shunts it out immediately with his own negative logic. “They’d never say yes anyway, so it’s pointless to even try”, “You’ll just embarrass yourself, lmao”, “Someone as lame as you definitely doesn’t get to have that happily ever after that all the normies chase”, etc.

It takes Ortho many, many pep talks to convince Idia to go for it. Idia’s old board gaming buddy, Azul, also lends his hand in convincing him to propose (... if only because Azul stands to make a profit if Idia uses his family’s restaurant for the catering).

Once energized to act, Idia goes on a dating sim gaming binge to brush up on his knowledge of confessions and other important love flags! It’s also his way of helping him build up his own courage for the proposal (because social anxiety is not fun).

He invites you to the Shroud manor gardens at night time. You arrive as asked, glancing around to look for the familiar flicker of your beloved’s blue hair. And there he is, awkwardly leaning against one of the many stone statues that decorate the grounds.

Without a word, he offers his hand, and you take it. Idia’s cold and clammy to the touch, but despite that, he holds tightly and quietly escorts you through the gardens. Neither of you speaks, fearing that words will break the midnight magic.

Together, you traverse the grounds. Your eyes wander, drinking in all the statues of heroes, important figures of old, and embracing couples, and all the curious plants and flowers that grow by them. When you want to stop and admire a certain thing, all you need to do is tug on Idia’s arm, and he’ll slow to a halt to wait for you—though he avoids your eyes and stares at the ground with a bit of a blush to his pale cheeks.

You continue on your way, eventually coming to a large pond with stone steps. You decide to be a little cheeky and hop along them, but on the final step, you lose your footing and slip... right into a shocked Idia’s arms.

His blush deepens, turning the tips of his flaming hair pink. Still, Idia manages to help you back onto your feet, mumbling an apology and asking to make sure you’re okay. Once you confirm, he breathes a sigh of relief and beckons you to follow him deeper into the garden.

You stop at a great water fountain in the middle of it all, and rest on its basin. Idia plucks a white flower and sits beside you, but he seems especially anxious. He keeps fidgeting with the flower and glancing around, as if waiting for something to go wrong, or for someone to interrupt.

You finally ask him what’s wrong, but Idia responds by thrusting the flower in your face and mutters that it’s for you. As your fingers close around the stem, you realize there’s something set in the center of the flower: a small and lightweight golden band, with a cluster of red gems—like pomegranate seeds—crowning it.

“L-Look... I-I know I’m just a disgusting and gloomy otaku th-that holes up in his room all day, but... When I’m with you, I feel like a legendary hero that’s been summoned to collect all the magical MacGuffins and banish the demon king. I-I used to tell myself... ‘I won’t say I’m in love, that’s crap for normies only’. B-But I’m asking you, here and now... Will you be my Player 2?”

the anon who keeps mentioning about Grim's little "dazo"/"yanno" catchphrase thing made me a little curious. Some characters do have specific ways of talking or a characteristic in their speech (like Cater's use of -chan and maybe Lilia's sort of archaic/old fashioned way of talking) and I see that you've translated them as best that you can - thank you for that! - but I'm curious if any other characters have little quirks in their speech too?

Absolutely!! A character’s speech mannerisms can tell so much of their personality in JP compared to EN. I fully believe every character could have an entire paragraph dedicated to listing the specifics of their speech habits, but I don’t feel that one person is equipped to write all that ;; This doesn’t nearly cover everything but I think it has the most noticeable mannerisms

Please keep in mind that this isn’t a native speaker’s interpretation (JP is my 2nd language) and I did this mostly off of memory 🙏💦

Riddle

Sometimes sounds very feminine & queenly

If you know his “o-wakari dane?” or “You understand, don’t you?” this sounds very feminine

But also uses formal masculine speech ends (like ~dai and ~kai)

Either way usually elegant speech, although sometimes drops the formalities/speaks more like his age

Ace

Tends to use the word “papatto” (quickly) a lot, if you pay attention 😂

Deuce

Slips into yankee speech when his bad boy mode turns on

Ruggie

Ends sentences with “~ssu.” This is a shortened version of “desu” and is popular masculine speech, it’s like you’re trying to be polite but a little lazy/casual about it. I think it used to be considered less refined too.

Azul

Courteous and polite (sometimes rude undertones)

He will usually call others by “anata” (polite version of “you”) but it’s really noticeable when he sometimes goes with “omae” (ruder version)

They call this style of speech ingin burei -- very polite but superficially so. (It makes sense for him)

Jade

Very formal, like a butler (sometimes shady undertones)

“Oya oya”

Always using respectful language

Vil

Always feminine, queen-like/oneesan speech

1st person pronoun: atashi (feminine)*

But as a child he used “boku” (masculine)

“Ara ara”

Sentence ends: ~wa, ~kashira

Gives commands in the “nasai” form (sounds very motherly)

*I’ve seen conversations about how this transfers to English pronouns, and I just want to clarify that atashi ≠ she/her. Atashi is a way to say I/me; third person pronouns aren’t very prominent in JP.

1st person pronouns convey personality and formality (you sometimes change which one you use depending on who you’re speaking to), so it doesn’t necessarily specify one’s gender. Vil’s has yet to be explained.

Epel

Slips into his village’s dialect sometimes, but he tries his best to speak “properly.”

Has a habit of adding “...kana” at the end of his sentences. This has a “I wonder...” kind of uncertain nuance and makes you sound more agreeable rather than assertive (whereas he sounds very assertive in his village dialect). His usage of it is so frequent and sometimes feels out of place.

Rook

Masculine speech but sometimes gets poetic/literary

~dai and ~kai question sentence ends

Idia

Otaku speech. Basically his speech habits are all archaic and what a samurai would use. His honorific for everyone is “-shi,” he ends sentences with “~de gozaru” (this has same meaning as “desu” but again super outdated. Its polite form “gozaimasu” is still common though)

He’s hard to understand sometimes...

He also uses “~dewa?” and “~zo” (I feel like these make you sound really cocky)

Ortho

Textbook-standard speech most of the time, sometimes leaning more informal and other times more robotic (?)

Calls everyone by their full name (with -san at the end)

Lilia

Typical old person speech:

“Washi” pronoun

Sentence ends are like ~noja, ~jaro (usually they would be ~noda, ~daro-- the J sound gives it that old person feel)

The ~nu negative conjugation (not very common in modern speak)

But sometimes he sprinkles internet slang into his speech too 😂

God, this is even funnier and more chaotic if it was Grim’s fault that got Darling in this mess in the first place. Aside from the embarrassment that you would inevitably suffer right after, this random singing curse of yours doesn’t seem to be too bad especially when you get to see the interesting reactions you get from others. Though, most of the times it’s just pure confusion on their faces as they don’t have a single clue on what the hell you’re singing, since it never existed in their world.

“SomeBODY once told me—“ Darling started, slamming a random door open with a wide smile on your face and successfully startling a few students half to death nearby. The Scarabia duo passing by and Kalim being obliviously glad at how energetic you seemed. Jamil had to look away as he snorted, seeing how the students cower away with tails between their legs was golden.

Ace and Deuce being used to Darling’s curse at this point that they basically just adapted to it. “Ah.” The rest of the first years wondered what was that single “Ah.” and Adeuce confirmingthat it was indeed considered a “song” from your world. You explained how it was uttered out by a certain 2D shark girl and people basically went crazy for it. “Yeah, we don’t get it either.” The duo gave up understanding your worlds’ “culture” eventually.

That said, the other students would be lying if they said that they don’t find this strange songs of yours catchy though.

“So, what kind of look do you wanna go for?” Imagine Vil in a good mood and decided to do Darling’s make up. You smile and said nothing, you can feel the urge to sing right on the tip of your tongue but you didn’t know what ridiculous meme song would come out of your mouth. Opening your mouth meant breaking into a song once again as it might disrupt the guy’s mood. “Hm? What’s wrong? Honey, you look like you want to say something. Go ahead, I’m feeling nice today, you see.”

His kind chuckle did not help at all and alas, you slightly opened your mouth and— “Maybe I’ll be Tracer.” “What?” You gulped with a nervous grin. “...I’m already Tracer...”

It’s worse in Halloween. “Spooky, spooky skeletons~” The Heartslabyul students are looking at you funny, but since you were singing it in such a cutesy way, they just assumed that you wanted a candy in return. “Sends shivers down your spine~” Trey filled your whole bag.

I’d also like to add that the curse does not only affect the way you talk but it also plagues your mind as well. The others looks so concerned every time you space out as even if they call out to you as loud as they can, the noise in your head wouldn’t let you hear them. They claimed that you look so serious sometimes, like you’re thinking of something deep but in reality all you were hearing was the constant replay of the Wii Theme and Undertale Soundtracks.

“Se~ no~” Skipping in the hallways, Idia hides behind a wall as he was practically lead astay to this beat you sing. He just finds it so cute! The way you swing your hips really made him imagine you like those idols performing before thousands of fans like him. He wonders if you’ll accept if a creepy otaku like him asks you to wear an idol outfit and sang that song for him in private. Idia finds himself humming and dancing slightly to your song until Cater comes in and giving him a heart attack that costs him ten years of his lifespan.

You said you wanted to try and bake for everyone, so you thought it was better to borrow the Heartslabyul kitchen. “I’m a muffin, and this is muffin time~” Coincidentally, the Heartslabyul squad passed by at the door and thought that the melody sounded cute. Without you knowing, they were peaking right by the door. Cater recording a video while Ace snickers at how girly you can be sometimes with pink cheeks. Riddle, Trey, and Deuce having the same fantasy of seeing you as a housewife baking sweets for her family to munch on. “Who wants a muffin~?”

You did a graceful spin while elegantly putting the tray inside the oven, crouching over. “Please, I just wanna die~” Upon setting the desired temperature, you spun into a small little dance. Cater almost dropped his phone. “Hey, somebody kill me~”

“Please, it’s muffin time~☆”

Needless to say, the Heartslabyul squad bursts in like undercover agents and concerned questions were frantically asked. You wanted to bake, but got a strict therapy session with Riddle and Trey instead. Ace, Deuce, and Cater blocks your exit and you were forced to stay in that room for the next three hours.

Of course. Of course. Cursed or not, your immature ass could not pass up the opportunity.

“We’re no strangers to love.”

“Child of man, what—“

“You know the rules and so do I.”

Might as well commit to it the curse then.

These two were conveniently requested together so I decided to make it into one whole post. Also I posted this awhile ago but it didn't show up smh so I'm reposting it aha. I'm sorry for the long wait and thank you for your patience! (*´ω｀*)

Green as Envy II

Idia Shroud

- Idia's type of jealousy is the quiet one, though I wouldn't say it's not unnoticeable.

- He's immensely more reclusive and spends his time locked up in his room.

- Being pessimistic and awkward, Idia gets Jealous over small things that he tends to over think about

- Like the time Ace gave you his blazer when yours got dirty during lunch break or when Cater takes pictures of you and has his arms over your shoulders

- He knows they're your friends and that being the social person you are, you're bound to be surrounded by people but he just can't shake off the feeling that you're trying to get away from him

- As if you're using his dislike of crowds so you wouldn't have to put up with your closet boyfriend

- He isn't the most interesting person after all. He plays games and is an avid Otaku. It makes sense if you didn't want to be near him

- With that thought in mind, Idia starts to distance himself from you. He makes sure you don't bump into him after classes and he makes Ortho swear to always tell you he's busy when you come over to Ignihyde

- He's frustrated and insecure. He isn't sure where he is on your list or how much you really like him and Idia has never dealt with emotional pressure well

- He lets the Jealousy fester inside him and it caves in his entire mood. Just thinking about you hanging with Ace and Deuce riles him up

- When playing games, he switches to the kinds that are violent just so he can lash out a bit of his tension. Afterwards though he just lays in bed with his phone in his hand, wondering why you never bothered to call him.

- Gradually,Idia just gets moodier and whenever he sees Ace and Deuce, his gaze turns dark. He doesn't hate them,it's just...He wished he could be as fun as they were.

- Consoling him is easy though, convince Ortho you know how to make him feel better and you already have access to his cave.

- He'll be very fidgety of course when you suddenly enter his room. Part of his mind actually thinks he's gone insane but then you start talking and it's just horrible.

- You said you were worried about him? Has he been troubling you all along with his insecurities? How? And why?

- He won't know what to say but he will apologize even if a small Jealous part of him says it's your fault for being so carefree with other people

- If you hug him and nuzzle your head against his chest, you'll make him melt and Idia will stop processing thoughts all together

- It doesn't take much to reassure him but you'd have to reassure him a lot so his jealous side won't get the better of him again

Rook Hunt

- Oh,you made Rook Jealous?

- Well,at least now you'd know why Leona finds him intimidating.

- Rook doesn't express his Jealousy like most would, his eyes flicker too subtly for you to catch how he looks at you attentively watching Trey beat the pastry batter. How his hands just lightly overlap with yours almost like in a dreamy state

- A Jealous Rook is a Rook who starts to realise how easily likable and attainable you are to others and it's a jealousy that runs deep in his veins

- He won't say anything that indicates his Jealousy nor would he act any different, but if you paid a bit more attention to how his body reacted when other males make you smile or laugh, you'd notice how still his gaze is. As if he was burning the faces of those people in his memory

- Rook understands with you both being young and filled with life that there will always be things that will garner your attention greatly but the fact that anyone could so easily take your hand away from his whenever he's not looking...It just gives this bad taste gurgling in his stomach.

- He won't do anything that could hurt you though but he will act more profoundly and take you away with him anytime he sees fit

- You and a lot of other people would see it as Rook being his usual self, but the reason he's pulling you away isn't because he wasn't listening to your conversation but because he couldn't stop listening to it. How melodic and happy your voice sounded talking to Riddle and Epel.

- Rook will start leaving you small, unexpected gifts be it on your bed or in front of the porch of your dorm. Anything to make you feel pleased because of him.

- To Rook, Jealousy is simply another expression of love, so he isn't inherently frustrated by it but it does get him in a certain kind of mood. He'd describe it as the very first feeling he had when he went hunting. A Dangerous thrill.

- He's not upset but if you shower him with more attention than most, it'll earn you a lot of his in return.

Malleus Draconia

- Sulking.

- There isn't any other way to describe it.

- Malleus will say he isn't Jealous and he has no reason to be but the way he looks at you and the people around you is obvious if you really look

- It's like a brief glint that shimmers in his green gaze and colours it slightly off than usual

- He'll frown too but with Malleus always looking stern, it goes unnoticed often.

- Despite himself, Malleus gets Jealous when he sees how hands on you are with those around you,how involved you get into their lives whether or not it's planned and generally how people seem to just flock to you

- Usually the jealousness comes and goes pretty quickly but some days it just lingers in his head

- He won't ever tell you that he has no time though and insist you're allowed to come and visit as you'd like but he seems so distant and too quiet for you to not realize something is troubling him

- If you ask him he'll just stare at you a bit too long before he sighs and shakes his head

- "Just thoughts." He'd say

- Malleus rarely gets the chance to be around people and have them like him so when he sees you doing it so naturally, it makes him kinda envious

- He's not typically riled up by the fact you're surrounded by guys though since he trusts you completely but he won't lie that he gets a teensy bit irritated when people act as if he isn't part of your life

- Eventually he gives in and just expresses how he feels, asking if it bothered you or not that he wasn't able to solve such a simple emotional conflict

- All you have to do is just reassure him that it's normal to not be able to handle emotional things alone and that he's just like everyone else

- Simple words of comfort and a warm presence is the natural remedy to soothe this young dragon after all.

Epel Felmier

- Epel hates feeling Jealous, so whenever he does feel it, he tends to brush it off as a small matter and refuses to acknowledge it at all.

- Similar to Riddle though, his mood will tip over more often and he tends to lash out

- Epel's jealousy stems from the lack of progress he makes in making himself a strong and dependable partner for you and even if it's a one sided feeling, it frustrates him a lot

- He knows you're always putting yourself in danger and the thought of you being protected by other guys makes him want to grow as tall as Floyd and step on people who would hurt you

- He gets slightly touchy like Riddle too, and whenever anyone else tries to pull you towards them he gets this dirty look on his face and when he speaks his accent slips

- Epel will actually go as far as to use his naturally soft features to manipulate you into spending more time with him

- He'd pout his lips and his eyes would look so sad, how could you possibly say no to helping him make notes for his potion class?

- He doesn't see the manipulation to be wrong since he's not hurting you in any way, and plus it makes him less frustrated too. So it's good on both sides.

- At the end of the day though, Jealous Epel is harmless and actually makes him more motivated and boosts his spirit into building himself up as a man but if his moods get out of control, all you have to do is tell him there isn't a man on earth that could ever take you away from the one already holding your heart.

Ruggie Bucchi

- Despite himself, Ruggie gets Jealous a lot and his defense mechanism is similar to Leona's,minus the physical proof of it.

- He won't start biting or marking you like the beast prince would but his words does get kinda condescending whenever he sees that you don't realize you're making him Jealous

- Ruggie's seen it all, you know. How some relationships turn bad quick and it was mainly the reason he stayed away from it.

- But life is unexpected, and now that he's in a relationship himself, Ruggie's survival instincts kicks in fast.

- Unlike most Jealous partners,Ruggie's senses heightened and he becomes more observant of his partner's action and gestures.

- He doesn't trust easily, so this comes to bite him in the back and it starts playing thoughts in his head that riles him up even more than he is already

- Ruggie won't say he's Jealous,nor will he make it obvious that he is. When you ask him why he seems tense though, he'll laugh if off and add in something like, "What? Are you suddenly becoming some kind of mood radar?"

- He'll purposely let his words take you aback and he'll admit that he wants to see you a bit hurt but if it gets too bad Ruggie just starts to avoid you by acting like he's too busy

- While he's aware that putting the distance himself he's giving way to the possibility of you leaving him, Ruggie's conscience knows it's wrong to hurt you just because he's frustrated.

- He does a lot of self reflecting and tries to put a bit more trust in the relationship,but of course it doesn't happen in a day,right?

- Dealing with a Jealous Ruggie is better when you're patient and give him his space so that he can have his own thoughts before you come to confront him about it

- He's a bit harder to reassure but once he sees how genuinely worried you are,Ruggie will go soft and just let you shower him with any sort of comfort he needs.

- Though honestly the fastest way to convince him is to let him know that you only want him holding you.

Floyd Leech

- Floyd's a handful.

- A Jealous Floyd? That's just a nightmare coming to life.

- With his unpredictable moodswings, Floyd is always getting Jealous over things that you will never truly understand.

- He'll tell you that he's upset and that you're the reason behind it but he won't tell you how to fix it

- "Ha? Figure it out yourself why don't you? I'm kinda pissed so I don't want to help you."

- His eyes turn sharp in a split second before it goes dim and dull. Like he's bored of watching you look at him with confusion

- This goes on for days and not even Jade could help you, and that's only when his Jealousy is still mild.

- An extremely Jealous Floyd consists of Jade helping you avoid him at any cost everyday for an entire month because if Floyd so much as sees you, he'll make you run until you're crying for a brief minute to just get air into your lungs

- It's never sure as to why Floyd could get jealous nor is there any indication of it until he comes out and say it

- Most of the time though Floyd gets over his Jealousy when he has you cornered and he sees how scared you are of him, how close you are to crying in front of him. It makes him feel like he really does matter a lot to you if you're in pain because he's Jealous

- Rather Twisted,Floyd doesn't really know he scares the living lights out of you when he's in that state but once he's over it though,he's all over you with hugs and smiles.

- Best advice for Jealous Floyd? Make sure you work on your stamina.

Jade Leech

- Jealous or not,Jade will always smile even when he's displeased.

- His speech mannerisms doesn't change at all but somehow, whenever he's near you, his polite demeanor feels sick and dark. Like a looming dark cloud during a sunny day.

- He'll reassure you that he isn't upset or in a bad mood but the smile doesn't seem to reach his eyes

- "Oya,how could I ever be mad at you?"

- You must've done something to make him like this but like his twin,Jade won't say what it is.

- It shouldn't be easy to make him Jealous but once he is,Jade will probably the most hardest to reconcile with.

- Depsite his polite composure,Jade isn't so forgiving and even when he acts as if he's always in contro, he's not.

- Maybe it was the way you're always around those Heartslyabul boys or how doting you are with your first year schoolmates like Jack and Deuce.

- Either way,even when he's severely upset,Jade enjoys seeing you stumble on your existence trying to appease him, though eventually he'll get over it and start acting normally again

- When faced with a Jealous Jade,it's probably better for you to try and not get him in an even worst mood. And maybe try to not get too happy around him either, he'll think you're doing it on purpose to spite him.

Barrier (Idia x F! s/o)

It was a quiet and peaceful day, you and Idia were at his dorm room, as usual, watching some anime you recommended. Ortho was helping professor Vargas with some injured students since the boy has some medical assistance his older brother programed into him. So you were alone.

Normally, Idia would freaked the fuck out to be in the same room alone with someone, specially someone he is crushing so hard on. But you guys are so used to do this, since you two met, Idia gradually starts inviting you to his room to play some games or watch something. Ortho really appreciate your company, you two make the sunshine combo that warms the poor shy guy's heart. So your presence was now a common and good thing in his life.

As the episode goes, you star to really paying attention to it, it was one of your favorite anime so total focus was essencial. Idia was extremely focused as well, eyes almost never blinking as he bit his blue tinted lips unconsciously. As the climax of the show goes on, you felt that excitement that always come when you watch it no matter how many times, as for him, he gasped and you could feel how static he was as he mumbled how amazing that episode was.

Both of you decided to continue the show later and eat something (in his room, of course). As the nice person you are, standing up to snatch some candy for him, Idia starts admiring you without noticing. How you move, how you tuck some strands of hair behind your ear, just how you are so peaceful but at the same time so fierce sometimes. God help him when he starts to daydream about you, all the memories you've made and all the possibilities the future holds really weights in his chest. Is it anxiety? But it feels good... maybe is hope and excitement? What are you doing with this man?

"Hey Idia, something happen?" you asked softly to not startle him. "W-w-what? O-oh it's really nothing. I... just the sick feeling to have class with Mr. Cater tomorrow" He was almost proud he came with an excuse and a side joke in the same phrase. You giggled, which made him more flustered "aw don't say that, he is just wants to be friendly." "T-that's the issue... if he could just leave me alone, I could like him more." "Hey, I know he gives you a hard time sometimes but look at the bright side! With him, your insecurity with being hated from everyone is proved false" You grinned.

With that, Idia reminded all the times you helped him with his fears, anxiety and depressed thoughts. He couldn't understand how someone whom excitement was similar as Mr. Kalim would tag along with a shut in like him. It kind of annoyed him at first, he tried to push you away and you noticed his discomfort and backed away immediately, for his relief but also... disappointment? Sometimes the guy doesn't even understand himself.

However one day, and he could still feel the guilt crept back in his mind, he saw you crying in secret in a isolated section in the library. Frozen in place, the blue haired guy just kept staring at you. Of course, everyone has a bad day and the right to be sad, but see you in such a state was somehow wrong. I mean, you are Mrs. Cheerful!! The way you looked so hurt and at the same time so used to this feeling was something Idia would never imagined to see. He didn't realize at how long he was staring at you (and later he found out it's an effect you have on him), until the same girl flinched at his presence, wiping furiously the tears away as you apologize for the situation and offering a weak smile.

That broke his heart

He immediately tried to excuse himself and at the same time saying it's okay and he should be the one apologizing for being such a creep, resulting in a stuttering mess. Okay, now you definitely think he is a weirdo, a low life scumbag. Whatever, he was used to this. But you just started giggling softly.

"I am not laughing at you, it's just funny... Oh, you need some book in specific? Sorry... I am troubling you again right? I shall leave now" "Wait!" Idia exclaimed, cursing himself mentally, how is he supposed to handle a conversation HE started. "Um... I mean..." Taking out his tablet, with that the guy could speak some proper words. "You are not troubling me I was just surprised. I should leave n-" "Whoa! How can you type so fast?? And the voice is so smooth!! It's like, so real!" "Hm?" "Lilia told me Ignihyde was famous for the crazy technology you guys do, but seeing in real life is just amazing!"

Did she was impressed by a voice synthesizer? There is such a variety of "crazy technology" his dorm has made, the voice synthesizer was merely child's play in his perspective.

"Um, yes. Actually this is one of the versions I made for myself. For my little brother I add the ability to sing as well." Oh no... He was getting into the conversation "Really? That's so cool! It's like a vocaloid... right?" You asked shyly Hold on, hold on, did you just said vocaloid? And you mention it in front of the biggest otaku NRC has ever admitted? Idia's eyes lit up as he grinned. "So you know vocaloids!? You can say something like that, well I mean there's a lot of difference compared to the softwares and even the quality of the sound. I tried to do Ortho's voice as smooth as possible, specially with the high notes he mentioned to me, it was a little troublesome but fun nonetheless. Ah the world of artificial voices is so vast, I could even build-"

It was that moment that Idia knew - He fucked up

He talked too much, and now that potencial friend was weirded out by his passion. He could really blame you? Anyone in their right mind would be. He should just go to his dorm and sulk for the day.

"Hm? What happened? Are you okay?" "AH! It was nothing, sorry... I just get carried away with the subject" "Yeah! And it was so cool! I would really love to see some of your work, for real!" "W-w-what?" he was so caught off guard he even said out loud instead of using the device "Oh... I didn't mean to intrude or anything. You don't have to show it. I was just really into in what you were saying."

Back with his tablet, Idia invited his "new friend" to see some projects he has in his room. Of course, the meeting was online, but you didn't mind. You truly understand his anxiety since you have some troubles with yourself. Troubles he did asked some months after you met. You now was his sunshine, his player-2, even if those nicknames were a secret.

A secret he will never have the courage to tell. And so he believed.

Back at the current situation, you sit back on his bed and handed him the candy. as both bodies were almost touching, Idia was far away in his own thoughts, he remembered when you told about your insecurities, how your mind just screams how worthless you really are, of how many time the thought about death was endearing. His chest was heavy as he pictured the hot tears falling from your beautiful eyes.

"I didn't mean to ruin the mood, sorry... We can go back to the game again."

That sentence just filled him with dread.

So many times you helped him with HIS insecurities and anxiety attacks. You were the first person, aside his family, to really give a try to understand his weirdness.

"I-I-I..." "Or maybe I overwhelmed you with all this. You have your problems, I don't want to trouble you with my nonsense" "Stop it!"

Your eyes widen at the sudden exclamation.

"Don't you ever say that again to me. How can your problems be nothing more than nonsense? Are serious? I wish I could be as strong as you! Not only you try your best to be a decent person in this godforsaken school, but you have the guts to open your heart like that!"

As your whole body frozen in shock at how he spoke those words without the aid of his tablet.

"Idia..." tears still falling down but your face lit up little by little "thank you so much"

He wants to hug you, but he knew he'd just make a fuss and ruin the mood. You respected that, after all it was already warm in your heart. And after that incident, you grew closer to one another, Idia taught you how to play some games so you two could spend the day playing together. Ortho was so happy now his big bro found someone who makes everything interesting, he could almost not contain his happiness when you invited him to play at the courtyard, he could hug you all day. You were really his big bro's sunshine.

"Hey?" You called softly, a little concern with the blue haired guy lost gaze "Oh! Yeah! Sorry, I spaced out...again" "Hmmmm, hope it is not about how the show is going to end. You sir are too good to get yourself a spoiler." "Heh, in other words, I am pretty smart" Idia teased, he really loved at how he can be playfully confident. You didn't judge him so he felt more at ease to be himself. "Don't get too cocky Mr. Shroud" you teased back

Maybe onde day, Idia will say those words he so much want to tell you. Who knows, step by step. As your "friendship" grows, his fears will fade away eventually.

Exactly! A lot of things influence the way people come up with ideas, this is such a complex thing, of course not everything is going to cater to everyone – this is simply impossible. Picking and choosing and reading stuff that interests you while avoiding things that annoy or hurt you is always the way to go.

Oh, that’s a fun question. I feel like Idia would be the only one, and he would also probably have this excuse/explanation, like he really isn’t into BL, but this particular work is just very good, it has great art style, good writing + Idia’s favourite artist was influenced by this manga/series of doujins, so of course he had to get it, this is an important otaku artifact! And OF COURSE it’s paper, that’s the whole point! Even if it’s smutty, it’s art!

Ortho could start getting into BL himself; he would start by reading this one manga that Idia owns lol Idia was sure he’d hidden it well.

The rest of the cast strike me as normies… but hey, Lilia could have some! If he has any manga at all, I can imagine him owning a BL book just ‘cause. But since he probably bought it years ago when he was traveling around the TWST equivalent of Japan, it might be a bit outdated lol And probably a little cursed, which is why Lilia got so into this book back then.

9. What is your favorite outfit?

Since this question is a bit vague, I’ll answer with my favorite event and dorm outfits,

My favorite dorm uniform would have to be Octavinelle or Pomefiore’s, they’re on par with each other! I always had a liking towards more formal-looking outfits plus blue and purple are one of my favorite colors, so it’s natural that their dorm uniforms would be a favorite. Pomefiore’s is designed so uniquely, and Octavinelle’s is more simple yet it does it’s job well.

As for event outfits, I’d have to say Deuce’s Stargazer outfit and Leona’s Fairy Gala one, too. I’ve always had a love for starry-themed clothing so Deuce’s uniform was a hit for me!

As for Leona? Hahah...I am not inclined to say a single thing about it. he looks especially dashing in that outfit. literally fell in love with the intricacies and details of his outfit that simultaneously complimented his features in a way that they do it so well that i’m still amazed by it.

11. If you had a unique magic, what would it be?

Oya, this is a tricky question,

I would wish for unique magic that’s so incredible, marvelous even for myself—however, I am loyal to my practicality and search of efficiency, so I would want Unique Magic that could help me get work done quickly or something. Maybe help me in understanding materials quickly? That is rather lame though...perhaps I’ll just settle with having Unique Magic similar to Cater’s or Azul’s, maybe even Trey’s since it’s useful to a degree.

...Or even better, Jamil’s Unique Magic so I can have other people do my work for me!

12. Which dorm do you think you’d be sorted into?

Oh. Well, this is unexpected.

Other than Diasomnia, perhaps Heartslabyul or Savanaclaw..? I share the practicality Heartslabyul students have but I have a somewhat similar mindset as the one Savanaclaw has set up for itself, so it’s a bit hard to verify (actually, I’ve gotten Savanaclaw as a result on this quiz multiple times...I just don’t know why it changed now).

13. Who is your least favorite character(s)?

Actually, I don’t dislike any of the cast! I hold them all very dearly to my heart equally apart from one person, that is...

But to provide a more interesting answer, I used to dislike Idia a bit since “introverted quiet otaku” wasn’t exactly my favorite type of character. However, as previously stated in the last question, Wish Upon a Star changed that fact, now I like Idia!

The furthest I’d consider as “least favorite character” is maybe Crewel. His ‘good boy!’s scare me.

In Vil’s school uniform personal story, Cater asks him to take a picture together so he can upload it to MagiCam and get more followers, but Vil refuses. After Cater’s insistence, he accepts but only if Cater pays him. And like, that’s such an influencer thing to do of course, but he says that he’s worked hard for his ‘branding’ that he can’t just let anyone do whatever they want with him.

Then this happens:

Cater: “Suddenly I felt like I wanted to date you ♪”

Vil: “Yes, yes. Be prepared for it because that will cost a lot more than just one picture.”

Cater: “Ah, I get it. It’d cost a lot of money and time just to give you even a single present if we dated.”

Vil: “I see you understand well.”

So Vil says he wants to date someone who has enough time/money for him.

And that brings me to two very different points.

**** The not-so-serious fangirl approach ****

Cater can’t afford to do it, but out of all the students who has enough free time and money for him?

Leona.

He is a prince, so I think he’s pretty rich. But he’s the second prince with no chances of ascending to the throne (unless he goes full Scar but let’s not go there), and he lazes around all the time, so I think it’s safe to say he can afford it, he has both the time and money.

You could argue that others fit too. Kalim is even richer than Leona, and he’s super carefree, he’d be a good candidate too. But I’m guessing he’s mean to be his father’s succesor, so I’m not sure he’ll be free for ever. Though I think they’d make a cute couple.

Idia is another good candidate because I’m guessing being from a noble family means he has money too. He also has a lot of free time, but I don’t think an otaku/shut in fits the life Vil wants.

Malleus too, but to a less degree. Since he’s becoming king at some point, I don’t think he has much free time (probably being in school is his free time.)

So yup. Definitely Vil was talking about Leona. (Besides come on, he’d want someone beautiful as him)

**** The serious approach ****

It feels weird he speaks about dating rich. I sort of get it that he’d want someone whose only focus is Vil, because yk that’s how he is. But the money thing is weird imo. There are theories that says he comes from the countryside, from a poor family (like Epel) but whatever that is true or not, he seems to be wealthy right now with him being a super model/actor. He declined the prize money if they won VDC and offered it to the Ramshackle dorm. Maybe he wants someone who’s on his level too, someone who won’t take advantage of his position (even though he hates spoiled rich people.)

But I think it’s out of place considering this line from chapter 5 (5-23)

“Don’t try to win me over with money. No matter how much you offer, I won’t accept what I don’t want to do.”

The offer was 300 million madol with the possibility of negotiating more. So this boy who doesn’t want to accept that villain role in a big movie that’ll pay a lot of money says he’d date someone for the money? I somehow don’t believe that.

I feel like that was just something Vil told Cater so he’d leave him alone. I believe what he said about his branding is true, he’s worked hard for it and he’s proud of that. But I don’t think he’d date someone for those selfish reasons. I think he’s a romantic who’s been wronged and is now cynical, but still protects his heart. Not exactly like as if someone broke his heart romantically, but thanks to dance and wishes event, I think he’d once had a wish or a longing for something, but no matter how much he tried, it didn’t come true, so now he’s like that.

So that’s my take! One one hand, I definitely think he meant Leona, and on the other I think he’s a liar and actually wants someone who understand him.

Hello Raven! May I request for headcanons where the reader confesses their feelings in a love letter they spent hours pouring over to make perfect but ultimately forgot to sign and the letter is addressed to Cater, Ruggie, Azul, Jamil, and Idia separately?

Some of these ended up being angsty

Curiouser and Curiouser...

As an influencer, Cater’s no stranger to getting admiration (and sometimes, perhaps, a bit too much of it) from anonymous online fans. Getting an unsigned letter doesn’t faze him one bit!

He’ll give your passionate words a cursory look, but he won’t take them to heart. ... After all, the ‘Cater’ that the sender praises is that happy side of him that he shows to the public. Would they be saying the same things of the ‘Cater’ that he hides away?

His heart nearly stops cold when he nears the end of the message, where the sender indicates that they want to know more about him and the secrets they feel he keeps from the world. Cater’s grip on the heartfelt letter tightens, creasing the paper. He’s afraid. He’s so, so afraid of exposing himself, of being emotionally vulnerable.

Cater folds the letter up and tucks it away in his desk drawer--i’s too painful to look at for a moment longer. He swallows the growing sadness in his throat, pushes the letter out of his head, plasters a massive smile on, and whips out his phone. This is nothing that some likes and shares won’t fix... right?

A secret admirer? Ruggie’s never had one of those before--but he’s rather gluttonous when it comes to things that nab his attention (whether it be food or affection), so he’ll happily chow down on the mystery sender’s feelings!

Luckily for him, his keen sense of smell immediately helps him identify you. Your scent’s just all over the letter, since you spent so long agonizing over writing it--how could he not know who the sender was?

Mischievous rascal that he is, Ruggie will use this knowledge to his advantage. He’ll sneak up on you when you least expect it and give you a spook by casually calling your name or patting you on the shoulder. Your startled expression and nervous giggle’s just the best! Ruggie will laugh out loud with you--after all, you said in your letter that you love his smiles and laughter, right? Then he’ll do it often, so you can enjoy it~

Though he knows of your true feelings, he’s still a predator at heart, and he can’t resist playing with his prey! Ruggie wants to see you come to the slow realization that he knows about your unsigned letter--then that’ll be the perfect time for him to indulge in the full extent of your feelings~

Well, this is a first. Azul is used to being admired, yes--but that admiration quickly sours and becomes fear once he ropes those poor, unfortunate souls into signing a golden contract with him. But for someone to confess their love to him so blatantly, and even going so far as to compliment his shrewdness? What a rarity.

He has his suspicions about the letter, given the lack of signature. Over the years, he has certainly made a few enemies on NRC campus, so Azul’s not striking out the possibility that the message is meant to lure him into a false sense of security and self-assuredness.

He launches an impromptu investigation to find the source of origin for the letter--and surprise, surprise, all his sources point to you. Ah, but Azul can’t let sentiments cloud his logic--that wouldn’t be professional of him. He’ll smile and greet you politely when you cross paths, biding his time, waiting for the day when you have the courage to approach him properly.

Still, he finds your words so lovingly crafted that he can’t bear to just toss your letter away. The paper is instead rolled up and corked up in a glass bottle, which is then displayed in his office. When he’s feeling down, Azul will pull out the letter and reread it to remind himself just how great he really is! He can’t wait for the day when you speak the same words from your lips to his face.

A letter for him? At first, Jamil expects it to be correspondence from his family. They don’t often talk, but his parents do check in occasionally asking for status reports on Kalim’s health. He’s not bitter that they talk about Kalim more than him, definitely not/s

Imagine his surprise to find that it’s a message from a secret admirer--and not just that, but the letter sings of his strengths. Jamil’s been so used to keeping his head low and coming across as unassuming that it feels jarring to suddenly be showered with praise.

He runs a finger along the paper, tracing each word carefully. Whoever sent this clearly put forth a lot of time and effort, so Jamil is inclined to think that the sender believes every bit of what they wrote. That makes him perk up a little. The confession is the highlight of his day, and gives him the patience to carry on with his work without facepalming too hard. Even Kalim remarks that Jamil’s usual poker face seems different today.

Jamil’s cautious--he won’t instantly reciprocate the love of an unknown sender, but he is thankful that someone out there notices and validates his efforts. Perhaps, one day, you will reveal yourself to him and see how he truly feels.

Idia thinks that he must be seeing things--he looks again, but that’s definitely his name at the top of the letter, no one else’s. What is this, what is this, what is this? It’s written just like a mushy confession under a cherry blossom tree or something...!! Just that thought alone makes his cheeks heat up and his hair flare in bright red flames.

He reads and rereads the letter multiple times, overanalyzing every single word. Unfortunately, his anxiety gets the better of him and he ends up misinterpreting much of the letter as making a mockery of who he is. What you see often list as positives, Idia sees as negative. Pallid skin and pretty blue lips? You mean his sickly pallor? Passion for his hobbies? It’s not like he’s doing anything useful.

And the lack of a signature at the bottom of the letter? According to Idia, that must mean either this is all some cruel prank to get a rise out of him, or that the sender was too embarrassed about loving a gross otaku to declare their true identity.

Idia balls up the letter and tosses it away, vowing to take out the trash later. But... as he returns to his games, he can’t help but pass a few glances over his shoulder at the discarded letter. How nice it would be to find love--but that’s something he thinks is out of his reach.

I think Idia was the trickiest for me💦 Everyone has a very specific flavor in their dialogues, but Idia’s otaku / subtly rude / simultaneously really nervous way of speaking felt hard to convey. I tried watching English let’s play videos for research lmao idk how gamers talk

Lilia was also a bit difficult. His old-fashioned way of speaking is interesting because generally he just talks like a regular old man, but then for example the word he uses when he addresses ‘you’ (onushi) sounds a lot more archaic than a normal old man would use-- closer to “thee” & “thou” if anything. Every once in a while he also slips into sounding more modern-day.

I guess this does encapsulate the speech pattern of someone who’s lived across various generations? But how do you anglicize that without sounding inconsistent (even tho ig that’s the point) 💀 I should go back and re-flavor his lines someday 🙏

For upcoming lines, the next one I’m worried about is Cater 😂 It might be fun to do his but also might require more time than usual bc he’s so peppy-- we’ll find out when I get there 👀

I wonder why Hikaru seems to be so much more popular than Wakana? More hype, more followers on social media, a completely sold-out live...I am curious what your thoughts are on that matter. Thank you!

Eh? I feel like the answer to your question is quite obvious but I guess it won’t hurt to share my thoughts…

First of all, I would like to point out that this is NOT a competition. Wakana and Hikaru are NOT competing against each other and neither should their fans. I am sure they all wish each other the best so please do the same! Just support them and be happy for them!

Now here’s why I think Hikaru is “more popular” than Wakana 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→

Hikaru’s social media presence is much more appealing than Wakana’s and thus attracts a wider audience. She has been on Twitter pretty much ever since she left SpaceCraft. Her content is always interesting (personal thoughts, sexy/cute selfies, pictures with Keiko, etc) and she makes sure to post regularly (pretty much daily). There is also a considerable amount of interaction (like live streams and such). Fans tend to gravitate towards that because it makes them feel closer to their idol. Knowingly or not, Hikaru is catering to all sorts of fan needs. Wakana on the other hand has a comparatively “boring” media presence. She doesn’t post as often and if she does, she is rarely uploading pictures of herself. She is not a selfie-person, she has never been one. Her Twitter account is run by staff members (which makes it less appealing) and her blog is unfortunately fan club exclusive. So yeah, it is not surprising that Hikaru has many more followers on social media. Hard-core fans of those two will follow Wakana and Hikaru no matter what of course but casual fans (as well as Keiko-fans) are more likely to follow Hikaru due to the nature of her content.

Yes, Hikaru’s first live was a complete success but let’s not forget that Wakana’s symphony concert and first tour back in 2018 were also pretty much completely sold out. They even held an additional Tokyo live because the demand was so high. When it comes to “first” and “last” lives, there is a certain hype, people are always eager to attend them because they are special. Also, it’s been really long since we have seen Hikaru perform so fans were pretty much dying to see her again. We are at a point where Wakana has developed a routine and she is doing regular lives. Fans are no longer “desperate” to see her so they are starting to “judge” her music in earnest. And let’s be real here, her music is completely different from anything Kalafina have ever done, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea so naturally, she is losing some fans along the way. I can imagine the same will happen to Hikaru eventually. After all, her music is also unlike anything she has done as part of Kalafina. Their solo work is great in my opinion (with certain songs standing out more than others) but I don’t think either of them has reached a stage where they can have a successful career on the merits of their music alone. Both are currently still being carried on the wave of Kalafina’s success.

Hikaru does have two advantages though. First we have her involvement in future YK projects which will definitely boost her popularity within the YK fandom (many in the fandom have outright abandoned Wakana (｡•́︿•̀｡) You know my thoughts on that…). Then we have her upcoming anime opening. Anime IS the fail-safe way to success in the Japanese music industry. Lots of casual Kalafina fans are otakus so she will most likely have their support and of course there are gonna be quite a few people who will discover her through the anime (if the anime turns out to be good). I am afraid Wakana is going to continue having a hard time attracting a wider audience unless she decides to do a tie-in as well. However, as of right now, that doesn’t seem to be something she wants.

And really, both of them should just do what they want. They are working on establishing themselves and finding a place in the industry. They are fulfilling their dreams and that’s all that counts. It just so happens that Hikaru’s dreams align more with what people want which is why she will ultimately have “more success”…

So yeah, these are my thoughts.

It’s like ruining all creativity in the world. These cliché, corny-ass stories are sprouting up everywhere and people just eat them up. Ahhhhhhh, why did they have to become so popular! It’s like can’t there be a limit on escapism. Do you really have to be so bored of your life so much that you want to start everything over in a setting that caters to you? I don’t get it. The people who like this stuff must be like the dullest people in the world.

Wait, hold on a second. Why don’t I start my own wannabe novel about a guy getting transported to another world. Hell yeah, bet I can easily get popular riding this current. I won’t even have to put in that much effort, What an easy way to get some money. Lol, I’m a genius.

“This demon lord awakened after a millennium and proceeded to destroy all your major heroes. You people devised a plan to ask other worlds for help. Through this, you stumbled upon our world where you discovered the internet.”

“As I told you.”

“Through tremendous research and effort, you people found that there was a community who enjoyed tales of people traveling to other worlds.”

“Yes, it was quite a shock to us that there were multiple stories detailing our exact circumstances. To think a world existed where people could create such an accurate detail of our life, the discovery was……. well disturbing if I’m being honest. It felt as if you people had been observing us for centuries, and then to think you people viewed it as fiction, we were truly at a loss.”

“Yea, I guess it must have been quite a surprise to see us taking your guys lives as an entertainment value.”

“But that also came to be our salvation you know, so in a sense we are also grateful for it.”

“And after finding this community, you decided to establish relations with them and start a program where you would teleport those people here.”

“Yes, we contacted them, but they didn’t believe us so we decided to bring an individual here. When we did, it’s like there was a new spark in his eyes. He was ecstatic to be able to do this. We were all astonished that he believed everything so quickly and was more than eager to do this.”

“Yea, I bet he was. It’s not like those types have anything better to do with their lives”, I muttered under my breath.

“Excuse me?”

“Ah nothing, I was just amazed at how fluffy Tya is here”, I said as I stroked her smooth, azure fur.

“Awwwrrrppph”

“That’s her favourite spot to get rubbed on. She’s truly a delight, isn’t she? I was surprised at how quickly she warmed up to you.”

“Really?”

“Yep, you’re the first person that she has taken a liking to”

I couldn’t help but give her an extra cuddle after hearing that. In response, Tya nuzzled her head in my stomach. Too adorable!

“Anyways, so this is where it gets kinda confusing. Your organization decided to teleport people that are interested in this sort of stuff, right?”

“Of course, we by no means wish to inconvenience your people. We were panicking so much on how to even make a deal, how to convince your people to help us. When we found this community, we were excited that there existed people who understood us and truly wanted to do this…”

She paused for a bit. It seemed as if she was having some sort of trouble speaking her mind. Well, if she’s uncomfortable with something, it would be rude of me to press on. I decided to drink some of the tea before it went cold. As I brought the cup, a thought flashed by mind.

Wait a minute! What if this leads to a dumb misunderstanding!!! How many times have I criticized those protagonists for being air-headed doofuses and I’m about to do the same thing. Doesn’t it look like Miss Clara is glancing at me? She’s probably wondering how to approach me on something and I’ve decided to leave her alone. What is wrong with me? Gah, Ask her before the subject changes you idiot!

I gulped and looked across.

“Please Miss Clara, if there’s anything troubling you, do let me know. I don’t think it would be wise to create misunderstandings between us with the current situation being as troubling as it is.”

Miss Clara looked relieved. It seems my guess was right. She wanted to talk to me about something personal.

“Well you see……. how do I put this? Your personality is quite different from what I expected. I imagined you would be a more…. rude and intolerant individual”, she uttered with an awkward smile.

So that’s what it was. Of course, she would think that that when you consider everything. It’s not like I was the politest person online.

“Ahahaha, I can’t blame you for thinking like that. After all, I do have a reputation for not leaving the nicest comments. Hmmmm, I don’t think I’m really that angry or mean as a person, I think I just have a low tolerance for things I find annoying. It’s just a trait that just sticks with me I guess?”

She gave a troubled expression. “I see………. well I can’t say that’s a very good explanation but at least you aren’t a troublesome person. And you have been very patient and understanding so far. But still, you shouldn’t just give in to your anger like that you know, it’s not a very healthy way to live life”, she said, chiding me.

Ah, it felt like my mother was scolding me. It really is an embarrassing thing to admit. But wait, that means she knew about my message logs!

“Miss Clara!”

She jumped at my sudden exclamation. “What happened? Are you okay?”

“Ah, sorry for the exclamation. Miss Clara, you thought I was a rude person because of my messages, right?”

“Yes, what of it?”

“Then it makes no sense. You told me how you selected willing candidates for this, but there’s no way you could have thought I was a good candidate for this! What gives?”

She traced the teacup with her fingertips, looking like she was trying to make heads of the situation herself “Well, you see, initially we thought that as well. But the thing is other people vouched for you.”

“WHAT?”

“They said that you would not only be a valuable asset but that they were your friends and said you had a furious passion for these things. They even mentioned how you would be angry at first, but that would only be because you’re terrible at stress-handling”

I was slack jawed. I didn’t know what to say. This is a joke, right? Who the hell would do something like that? Wait. No way. I felt my stomach starting to churn. Those assholes. There’s no way right. Right? I glanced at Miss Clara. No malicious intent could be felt from her. She truly looked as if she didn’t know where I was going with this.

“Urrph” I felt a slight nip on my hand. I looked down to see Tya gaze at me. Her eyes shone brightly, as if reassuring me and telling me to stay calm. I wondered if dragons could tell how their master was feeling the same way a dog could. But I’m not her master. Wait, none of that matter right now.

But Tya somehow had managed to ease my tension a bit. “Thanks, Tya, you’re truly the best” I petted the back of her head.

“Eeeerrrrphh”, she squeaked. It seemed she really liked that spot.

“You know, I’m quite jealous of you right now. I’ve been wanting to pet my cutie Tya for a while now but you won’t hand her over, will you?” Clara said, a mischievous tingle present in her voice.

“Well, I can’t help it. She’s way too adorable.”

I had my suspicions for a while now. I had to confirm them.

“Listen Miss Clara, just asking but who was it that told you about me?”

“Well, there was more than one. There were actually 3 of them.”

My face darkened. It was those assholes.

“If I remember correctly, there usernames were; NightmareKaiser, GeoEnigmaEX and where_dem_thicc_elves_at” Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yep. I should have known those assholes would do something like this. Of course, those good-for-nothings would have nothing better to do than this type of stuff. I could feel the anger boiling inside of me. But I also felt acknowledgement for my actions. I guess this was karmic retribution. Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten into all those flame wars over which anime was superior. Maybe I shouldn’t have tried to raid their guild and mess with their loot farming on Nova-Ultima. But to be fair, they also tried to mess with me all the time as well. Huh, I guess we somehow became fated enemies along the line. Who knew the internet could give birth to such bonds. I’m totally going to murder them if I have to do this saving the world bullshit.

“Listen Miss Clara, I’m gonna make this clear. Those guys set me up, all to get me here.”

“What! Why would they do something like that? Though, that would make sense of their suspicious behaviour but still……on what ground are you assuming this?”

“Well you see, I may not be on the best terms with those guys. I may also hate their very existence. I may even consider them the accumulation of what’s wrong with the media in our world. You know, the garbage type otakus who decide to abandon the real world in pursuit of a fake happiness–”

“I get your point! Jeez, it’s no wonder they would do something like this”, Miss Clara’s smile had turned into a frown. “I thought there was something up with them but if only the board had listened…”

Those guys really were dumb. How could they not have considered the obvious solution to their plan. I couldn’t help but smirk as thought up my brilliant plan.

“I believe the solution is really easy, Miss Clara”

“What are you talking about?”

“Well, obviously just send me back.”

“What.”

“You heard me, it’s really simple. If you brought me into this world. Just send me back.”

I felt too embarrassed to respond.

Tya struggled out of my lap and flew into Miss Clara’s arms.

“Wow, even Tya thought you looked like a complete fool right now.”

Tya had now settled in Miss Clara’s lap.

“I realise I sounded like a complete idiot. But how did you expect me to know that? Besides, I also wish to know the reason why?”

“Acting so smartly, doesn’t help you look less like a fool. But you do have some sort of point.”

Hah. What do you think about that Tya! A pretty good rebound I’d say right?

Tya looked completely disinterested. She seemed to be absently playing a piece of thread that stuck out from the chair.

Tyyyaaaaa.

“Looks like you’ll need more than that to win Tya back.” She started stroking her fur, and only now did I realise how painful it was to watch someone else pet her.

“To answer your question, we simply don’t have enough energy to send you back. It’s easy to teleport you here as we simply delete your body there and reassemble it here. But it’s harder to forcefully send your body back the way it came from. We would have to go against the flow of energy that brought you here and visualize your location at the same time, which is too demanding.”

“Is there no way to obtain the amount of energy required to send me back?”

“Well, there is one way……….”

I could tell from her tone that it wasn’t something I would like. Well, how could it be worse than having to go on a journey and fight a demon lord. Wait, I really shouldn’t be thinking this right now. Damn it. Now that’s going to be the solution she’s going to suggest isn’t it?

I could only release a sigh and accept my fate.

“What is it?”

“You defeat the demon lord.”

I knew it.

“If you defeat him, the energy released can be captured and used to power your trip back home.”

Oh fate, you sweet, sweet mistress.

“I realise this may not be what you expected but I’m afraid it’s the best solution for you.”

I really have to do this, don’t I?

“You won’t be alone. There are so far 6 other heroes that we have summoned. You could team up.”

Oh yea, lets team up with the guys I was planning to kill earlier. Wait a minute, what if…………….

An idea started to form.

“Mr ________, what is your decision?”

“I’ll do it.”

“Eh”

“Why are you making that sort of expression? You told me this was the best solution.”

“Yes, but I expected at least some retort or complain from you.”

“Never mind that, I can’t be bothered to do.”

“I see…. In that case, let’s move on to the next or should I say last step.”

“You mean, granting me a wish”

“Yes, as long as it’s in our limits or can be manifested, we will give each hero one wish. To enhance your parameters, grant yourself a mystic weapon, or an ability unbeknownst to the world, it is up to you to decide. It’s the least, we as guardians of this realm can give to you heroes who would become our champions of justice.”

I see. Like a flower blooming, my plan was starting to become more and more solid.

“Before, you can be granted your wish, let’s start the ceremony.”

Okay, let’s do it.

Miss Clara rose from her seat. I followed her actions. She snapped her fingers and the chairs and table vanished. Now we were just standing in an empty room. But for some reason, the room started to elude a heavier aura. It took me a second to realise that the aura was emanating from Miss Clara.

“Now then, Sir _________, I will ask you a final time, are you prepared for this?” A gust of wind blew, the heaviness of her words could be felt. It was overwhelming. The aura emitting from Miss Clara was something I could never put in to words. This wasn’t like before. She was asking if I was truly ready for this. A part of me felt nervous, intimidated but I knew this was the only way forward.

“Yes. I accept it.”

“Then in the name of Elria, the light of heavens and Denaxia, the twilight that cascades our existence, through our devoted reverence to the creator, we grant this soul, the right to walk the path of the just, to uphold our enlightenment and restore the sanctity of this world. Now soul from beyond, what is your wish?”

Now or never. I’m going to take down the demon lord. He won’t know what hit him.

“My wish is to have a gun.”

“A what?”

“I said it. I want a gun.”

The aura vanished, leaving a very confused Miss Clara.

“Did I hear you correct? You want a gun?????”

“Well, not just any gun of course, I have conditions.”

This time it was her who sighed.

“You truly are a unique individual to say the least. Let’s hear it. What are you trying to do?”

“Miss Clara, do you realise what the greatest problem you guys have is? Heroes. I can’t blame your heroes for trying their hardest and failing but those that came from my world probably just want to escape to another world. They want to experience the fiction they adore so much, camaraderie, taking down rare beasts, obtaining sacred weapons, journeying towards a final goal. Me, I just wanna kill this demon lord. One hit, one kill. I just want to back home as soon as possible.”

There was a dumbfounded look on her face, one of confusion and bewilderment.

“I want a gun. Give it like I don’t know some sort of Divinity EX+++ ranking, allowing me to kill anything with one hit. Oh yeah, also I want to be the only able to use it, and it can’t leave my side. Also, give me full gun handling mastery. As well as unlimited bullets. Those bullets also should have the Divinity EX+++ ranking on them too.”

“I see, I see, so you want a gun so powerful that no enemy can stand against it and then you plan to just shoot the demon lord. The being that has brought devastation to more than half the world. The being who sneers at us, and laughs at our futile attempts. Hehehehehehe that would be pretty funny. What I wouldn’t give to see what sort of dumb expression he will make, as he realises that he lost to a single bullet. It would be the perfect revenge for demolishing and defecating on my precious temple. I might finally have a chance to make him pay.”

I guess, she isn’t really too fond of him.

“So, ummmmmm, does that mean you’ll grant my wish? Or wishes I guess?”

“Yes. I will take all your requirements as a single wish. It maybe unorthodox but then again you are a special case. The other heroes treated this as some great goal to accomplish but you just view as an annoying chore. It truly is intriguing.”

“That’s because they are lost in their ideal fantasies.”

Miss Clara could only give a wry smile at my comment.

“While I don’t quite get your animosity for your peers, I do hope you will at least try to get along. Your journey won’t be a short one by any means.”

“Huh? No, can’t you just teleport me to the demon lord. I’ll just shoot him and finish this mess.”

“If such things were possible, we would not be in such a dire strait to ask people from another world to help.”

“Oh, sorry, my bad.”

“We, as guardians, have rules to follow. We cannot bend fate directly.”

“That actually does make sense.”

“Now then. Let’s grant your wish.”

Miss Clara started a chant. Light bubbles started to appear from around us. I could feel the particles being absorbed in to my body. Soon, the particles surrounding us started to become a single light. It started to get blinding. I couldn’t help but cover my eyes with my arms.

And the lights dispersed. Uncovering eyes, I looked to see a basic handgun floating in a bubble. Is this it? I reached into the bubble and grabbed it. It felt more normal than I expected.

“I’ve decided to style it according to something from your world. It adds a unique flair, I would say.”

As I played around with it, I couldn’t help but ask.

“Is this really that powerful?”

“You were the one who designed it.”

“I know but when you consider a divinity weapon, I guess I expected something flashier. But I think I honestly prefer it this way. Don’t want to stand out too much.”

“I have modified the gun to automatically generate a bullet every time you wish to fire.”

“Now, that’s awesome.”

“So then, Sir __________, do you wish to change your name? All the previous heroes did so, saying something like it would be embarrassing for people to call us by our usernames.”

“Oh yea, that would be pretty dumb. Let’s seeeeee, how about Cyrus. Sounds pretty chill.”

“Sir Cyrus it is then”

“Now then, I believe it is time for me to send you on your way.”

“I see, then this is goodbye for now Miss Clara. I’ll probably see you later at some point.”

“Indeed, I do hope this will not be our last meeting.”

“ERRRRRRRPPPHHHHHH”

We both turned around to witness Tya fluttering towards us.

Tya landed at Miss Clara’s feet.

“Eeeerph. Errrph Erph Errphhhh. Eruuuuph.” She seemed to communicating to Miss Clara. She turned around to point at me and then looked directly back at Miss Clara.

Wait a minute. Is this what I think this is! Does Tya want to travel with me?! “It seems you have understood Tya’s intention. I never could have seen this coming.”

She knelt down and picked Tya up by the arms.

“Tyyaaaaaa, do you really want to go on this journey? Are you that bored of me already?”

Tya’s response was several licks on the nose.

“Ohhhh, you adorable sweetie-pie, I wish I could hold you and never let you go. But you’ve really taken a liking to him, haven’t you?”

“Errph Errph.”

“I really can’t say no to you. Not when you look at me so longingly. Huummmm, okay, I’ll let you travel. Oh! hehehehehe, oh you silly girl, stop with the licking. Oh my, it’s getting too much for me to handle.”

Watching Tya’s assault of happiness was a site to behold. I started feeling bad at the thought of taking her away from Miss Clara. But those feelings were overcome by the happiness at the thought of travelling with Tya. She might turn out to be the only good thing to come out of this mess.

After finishing her assault, Tya sauntered over to me. I picked her up in my arms.

“Wow, I can’t believe you actually want to come with me. Well, I’m not going to pretend that I’m not the happiest person right now. Well then my trusted and charming companion, I believe it is time for us to leave.”

She twitched her nose and gave a gentle growl.

“I must say, you two certainly make a pair all right. Now then, please get ready to be teleported.”

“Farewell, and Tya, may you two always be protected by the light of devotion”

I started to get lighter and lighter. I closed my eyes and held Tya tightly in my arms as I prepared for something to happen to me. But nothing did. I felt a nip on my hand. I opened my eyes to see what was happening.

A rich green meadow.

Birds chirping.

A gentle breeze.

The sight in front of me could only leave me wondering at what just happened. I never expected any of this. I thought I was going to be teleported in front of some temple or some landmark. Where am I, anyway? I was told to head towards the Central City but this didn’t look like anywhere near human civilization.

“Errrph”

“Oh. You’re right Tya. I guess standing around isn’t really gonna help us. Let’s see what we can find.”

And so it started.

The adventure of a man who wanted nothing to do with this world.

With a gun that had a Divinity EX+++ rating and an adorable baby dragon companion, he set off in this land.

“Oh yea, I’m totally gonna murder those guys if I ever come across them.”
