Chestervelle ask! When building a crib which one stays up all night putting it together and which one gives up after 10 minutes?

I actually have a ficlet about this (in my mind they're building a crib but to each their own. I'm not specific they could be building anything) Jo gives up after 10 minutes of trying to tell him what the manual says to do and Dean ends up staying all night doing it because he won't look at the manual and keeps having to start over

Just wanted to briefly go ahead and point out a small detail in Stephen King's IT and that is that Richie doesn't seem to own his own bike. Like, in the novel he ALWAYS rides double with Bill. Why doesn't he have a bike? Does he have one and he just can't be bothered with it? Went and Maggie please give Richie a bike so he isn't subjected to Bill's adrenaline junky behavior anymore. Not that he won't do the same on his own bike but the sentiment will still be there lol. Edit: Someone pointed out that I missed the fact that he does indeed have his own bike it's just Bill's is bigger and faster. It's mentioned in the werewolf chapter when they're talking about investigating the house on neibolt. Can't believe I missed that and I'm currently reading the book for the third time lol. I still think its funny how often he rides double with Bill though.

River’s smile fades, and she turns away from him again, taking another swill of her drink that drains it dry. “Ah, but that’s the thing you haven’t learned yet, Doctor,” she exhales softly, looking plaintively into the empty glass, swirling the ice. “We’re always on uneven ground, even the times when we’re almost not.”

“It’s not like that,” Buck huffs.  “Then what is it like, Evan?” Tommy folds his arms and Buck resists the urge to shrink under his scrutinizing gaze. He looks at him like that more and more. It reminds Buck of his parents, rather than someone who’s supposed to be his partner. “He’s just… been having a rough time, and I don’t want him to feel like he’s alone,” Buck reasons, keeping his voice hushed. He really does not need everyone at Bobby and Athena’s new house to hear all of this. “There’s no danger of that,” Tommy scoffs.  Buck frowns. “What is that supposed to mean?” “You’re always clinging,” Tommy says with a wave of his hand.  Buck feels like someone dumped a bucket of ice water over his head. Like the rose colored glasses he’s been wearing for months fell from his face.  “Clinging?” He just wants to see what else Tommy will say. He doesn’t even care, not really, but he’s a master at pressing into old bruises to see if they still hurt.  “Needy is another word for it,” Tommy says, almost like he’s trying to make a joke about it. Like he’s not pressing on that bruise for Buck, turning the fading blue mark a dark purple.  “Is that really how you think of me?” Buck asks. He sniffs and his frown morphs to a scowl. He should probably feel more hurt than he really does. Maybe it just hasn’t sunk in yet.  “Evan,” Tommy chuffs. “You can’t be serious. What are you looking for, validation? Reassurance? I’m just saying, you need to let Eddie breathe. You’ve got more important things in your life.” “No.” “What?” Tommy asks with a disbelieving chuckle. “What do you mean, no?” “I don’t have anything more important than Eddie,” Buck says.  “Evan-” “I think we’re done,” Buck says. “Evan, I was just trying to-” “I don’t care what you were trying to do,” Buck says firmly.  “Why do you still crave his attention when he won’t give it to you?” Tommy sneers. Buck shakes his head. He doesn’t know the answer to that question, but he doesn’t deserve to stand here and listen to this. “You can go. I’ll get a ride home with someone.”  He doesn’t wait for Tommy’s reply, just turns and rounds the corner to rejoin his family.  He almost collides with somebody and looks up to find Eddie standing there, wide eyed. “H-hey, Eds.” “You’ve got my attention,” Eddie says, and his eyes somehow widen, like he hadn’t expected to say that.  Buck thinks he has him beat in terms of shock. “How- how long have you been standing there?”  “Long enough,” Eddie admits with a wince. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been eavesdropping. You deserve better than that.” “I deserve better than Tommy,” Buck declares. For once, he actually believes it.  “Yes, you do,” Eddie says with certainty. “If you’ve got anyone in mind,” Buck says, only half joking.  “Me.” Eddie barely says the word before Buck surges forward, a hand on his neck to draw him into a kiss. Eddie smiles into it and rests a hand on Buck’s chest, soothing the bruise on Buck’s heart. He wraps an arm around Eddie’s waist, clinging tight. Eddie lets him, like he always does.

what roles would you assign them if they were in a horror movie?

Ooh, this is an interesting question, thank you sm for sending <3 Hmm, I thought a bit about it, feel like these ones would fit quite good:

The hero - Emilio Absolutely selfless and wants to help all. the. damn. time. But might become selfish when it comes to protecting people. Would probably die, maybe even early OR very late, and save everyone along the process, sacrificing himself for the greater good.

The survivor - Vale Regularly suffering and surviving the worst events, even without intending so, cause he hopes for his early demise. His ongoing survival torments him, as he wants everything to just be over. Also, everyone would cry if he DOES end up dying, despite it being his own wish.

The vigilante - Luca He'd always get his way, no matter what boundaries would be needed to cross. I'd see him going down in a big fight against the hero, while both of them would realize afterwards that the two of them were actually fighting for the very same thing.

Femme fatale - Sharon She'd make others bend at her will, with her (lingering) nefariousness at times probably getting overlooked because of her sheer seduction factor. Secretly maybe, even without realizing herself, the big villain behind everything and has so much more going on than what the others expected.

The nerd - Aaron Would surely figure out the mistery behind whatever is happening very fast. People would likely ignore him first, but as dangers get more dire, they'd start to listen to his analyses and advice, even if too late at times. Other people would probably be the ones to execute his plans.

Final girl - Gina She'd ABSOLUTELY have the skills to survive and make it to the end. And also, confront the villain to seek justice. Like, I don't doubt that for a second, she's capable of the very best. I can even see her turning bad people to the good side because of her sheer positivity factor.

The skeptic - Devyn I very much imagine so that he wouldn't care/wouldn't believe all the stuff going on. Probably either dying cause he realized too late, or would be the one overturning everything and be the main force in overcoming the crisis, I'd dare even call him Final boy? (him surviving everything along with Gina is also such a NICE scenario? I like.)

The harbinger - Kaia I can see her being the type of character who is already aware of everything since the very beginning, and got used to living with whatever is nearby pretty fast, possessing the right know-how, tricks and skills to perfect survival. Warns everyone who comes near the area, but of course nobody listens, and those fools wander into their impending doom...

The jester - and/or: betrayer - Maggie The game was rigged from the start (or other scenario, got lured to the bad side by nice promises and benefits). Would provide accidental solutions, or sometimes even intentionally steering people the wrong way. I can either see her surviving very long, or going down a fast, brutal way. Either way, she'd have very much fun, no matter what role she plays.
