Wish me luck, friends. I'm off to pour my heart and soul and extremely limited time and energy into another fanfic that will be appreciated by exactly one or two people.

I crochet. I create my own patterns. I am tinkering with the idea of distributing those ideas in some way. I understand that the consumer loves free patterns, but me as the producer and creator of the pattern wants a little compensation for the time and effort put into making that pattern.

I know that not all patterns are worth the dollar they're priced at, so I would only want to put a price tag on the projects that were particularly difficult for me to accomplish.

I think that, before I decide which website (Etsy, Ravelry, Lovecraft, etc) I use to sell patterns, if I ever do, I need some confirmation in a very crucial area:

Say you are looking for a pattern. Say you want the pattern to be one that is either challenging or at least intermediary. Say you find the pattern that fits the criteria you have . . . but you would have to buy it. Say all the free patterns are beginner or just not good. Say the pattern was reasonably priced:

Part of me would love to have a shop, but I don't want to put all that time and effort into something that isn't going to pay off in the end.

As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.

There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.

Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .
