Found the whole thing in English! The manga is from 2006 and the author of the 2020 novel also uses the "I had to cut his tongue off" thing so I'm now convinced the author (Jacques Ravenne, author of La Chute) read the manga and took it from there
That whole (imo stupid) idea about David being incapable of drawing a body unless he has a model right in front of him and using corpses for it is also present in the Ciel au dessus du Louvres which is from 2009, so now I'm actually convinced everyone read Tetsuya Hasegawa's Napoleon ??!
Where's that gore comic (manga ?) which has David using an arm from a fresh corpse cause Marat's had rotten off???
'Cause I've just read a similar story in a 2020 French novel and I wonder where the idea comes from ??? I mean didn't they simply covered Marat with a shroud for his funeral viewing ? In the book David says he needed a presentable fresh arm cause the revolutionnary gouvernement wanted Marat in his bathtub, propped up holding his quill like he had just died a moment before, but in reality they just placed the bathtub and his writting equipment next to him, they didn't prop him up like some sick Madame Tussaud display ?!!!!

Napoleon: Age of the Lion - Chapter 43. Napoleon gets beat up by both his mom and Pauline while Junot and Marmont watch.
This chapter marks the “official” start of the Italian campaign in the manga. This chapter brings in Sérurier, reintroduces Berthier, and mentions Eugene as Napoleon’s aide-de-camp, but he’s not shown. Mama Bonaparte also beats up Murat. Chapter 42 reintroduced this manga’s take on Masséna, and also brings in Carnot and Augereau. No sighting of Lannes, Bessières, or Victor yet, but I’m sure Tetsuya Hasegawa won’t keep us waiting much longer!

RP Murat reacts to Hasegawa Murat:
....
Is that supposed to be me?
Oh my god, look at me!
My compliments to my artist! He's made me so handsome and perfect here! "A captive of your love"? Yes, that's me, really, what's so terrible about saying that?
I can look at myself all day! Tetsuya Hasegawa has captured my essence, the essence that is Murat! 😘
I respectfully disagree. The key to a healthy and balanced life is taking some time out for yourself, if you get my meaning. Like with anything else, it's better with friends!
I breathlessly await your next installment, Monsieur Hasegawa. You've given me quite the introduction into this tale of your illustrated epic!

I was today years old when I realized that Hasegawa’s Napoleon on Steroids ™️ manga has a reference to Goya. Yes, I know Goya actually appears in person in the manga but I’m talking about one of his gravures from the “Disasters of the War” collection.
Namely, this one:
Please forgive the quality. I took the picture just now at the Goya museum in Zaragoza.
Anyway, here’s how it looks in the manga:
Oh, and the gravure is called “Que valor”, which roughly translates to “Such bravery”.
Also, as a bonus, here’s the manga version of Goya:
And here is the real deal:
Edit: @michel-feuilly , I didn’t know the design of the gravure inspired Gracia! I see you’re a person of culture too ;)

How to get info from the French prisoner?
Ask him for a love life advice. Stranger means better.
He thinks you are crazy and spills everything.

спасибо @tairin за публикацию страниц из манги и, конечно, за нашу недавнюю беседу! захотелось не только нарисовать Ланна из манги, но и набросать в ближайшем времени свой вариант манга-дизайна для маршала

Napoleon - Shishi no Jidai - HASEGAWA Tetsuya
Related Series : Napoleon – Hadou Shingeki – ナポレオン -覇道進撃- Alternative Name : ナポレオン 獅子の時代, Napoleon, Napoleon – Lion’s Era, Napoleon – The Age of Lion Genre(s) : Historical, Seinen Author : HASEGAWA Tetsuya Artist : HASEGAWA Tetsuya Years : 2003 Status in Country of Origin : 15 Volumes (Complete)
This is a story of the life of Napoleon. The tale begins just before the Battle of Austerlitz. Then, it jumps back to 1769 to tell the story of Napoleon’s life from the very beginning, including the circumstances of his birth, his childhood on Corsica, and his difficulties as a Corsican boy in a French school. All of these experiences eventually culminate in his becoming the famous Emperor of the French.
This manga, called Napoleon Shishi no Jidai (lion's age) is what you get when you mix 80s style violence, muscle, Fist of the North Star with the Napolenic wars. Sadly, it's untranslated BUT the art is manly as hell so it's still fun to look at it.
You can see some historical art references from this manga on occidental-influence-manga here.

There’s the manga by Tetsuya Hasegawa, but you probably already know that one.
Napoleon also shows up in the later chapters of „Ten no Hate made: Poland Hishi“, a manga that focuses on the life of Jozef Poniatowski.
I know I’ve asked this before but I ask again: does anyone know any comics/manga that focus on Napoleon? He doesn’t have to be a main character, but even just as a supporting character, or even the antagonist. Any suggestions?

Sometimes, I wonder if Hasegawa just gets really bored and thinks, "Blah blah blah, these Frenchmen talk too much, so let's add a wheelchair with hidden automatic weapons on it for the lols."

Editing me here!!!
Notice that in many scenes where Goya shows up, there’s also this guy:
In the manga this second man is called Asensio. I wasn’t sure who he was supposed to be, but then I accidentally found out that it was a real person, Asensio Julià.
A very obscure Valencian artist who was Goya’s assistant and sometimes he made copies of Goya’s works. Apparently the two were friends or at least had a friendly relationship. Also notice the painting in the final picture.
That’s “The Colossus”. Not that long ago there was a debate about whether Goya was the artist who created it or if Julià did it. Most believe that it’s Goya though and I’m not sure if Hasegawa knew about this debate.
If it’s actually Julià, mad respect to Hasegawa for including obscure people! I still don’t want to know what Hasegawa was high on while making the manga though lol.
