I was today years old when I realized that Hasegawa’s Napoleon on Steroids ™️ manga has a reference to Goya. Yes, I know Goya actually appears in person in the manga but I’m talking about one of his gravures from the “Disasters of the War” collection.

Namely, this one:

Found the whole thing in English! The manga is from 2006 and the author of the 2020 novel also uses the "I had to cut his tongue off" thing so I'm now convinced the author (Jacques Ravenne, author of La Chute) read the manga and took it from there

That whole (imo stupid) idea about David being incapable of drawing a body unless he has a model right in front of him and using corpses for it is also present in the Ciel au dessus du Louvres which is from 2009, so now I'm actually convinced everyone read Tetsuya Hasegawa's Napoleon ??!

Where's that gore comic (manga ?) which has David using an arm from a fresh corpse cause Marat's had rotten off???

'Cause I've just read a similar story in a 2020 French novel and I wonder where the idea comes from ??? I mean didn't they simply covered Marat with a shroud for his funeral viewing ? In the book David says he needed a presentable fresh arm cause the revolutionnary gouvernement wanted Marat in his bathtub, propped up holding his quill like he had just died a moment before, but in reality they just placed the bathtub and his writting equipment next to him, they didn't prop him up like some sick Madame Tussaud display ?!!!!

Yandere Reaction: Seeing their child starting to “take after” them

The yanderes noticed that their child is starting to do what they did when they started taking an interest in their darling. (Example: stalking)

He would watch them on the sidelines for a while just to see what they would do but the moment they make a mistake or are about to, he is going to tell them.  For the most part he is going to let them learn on their own but will still be there if they ever need any help.

Tetsuya Kuroko: 

He will mostly just watch to see what they do but that doesn't mean he’s going to leave them hanging, he’ll give them advice here and there if he sees them get stuck on what to do next. 

Reisi Munakata: 

Not going to lie, it’s going to be a kind of weird bonding time between him and his child. Sure, he gives them most of the rains, but he will step in if he sees them doing something wrong especially when it comes to hiding just under the radar. If anyone were to walk in on them talking about new ways for his child to get to know their “love” it would sound like they were talking about some after school activities. (Which is somewhat true.) 

Nagisa Shiota: 

He would be lying if he said he wouldn’t be proud that his child found someone they cared for so much and on top of that using some of the things he taught them.  He’s always there if they need any help with anything they may need. (Helping place, alibi, etc.) 

Langa Hasegawa: 

He would help if they asked but other than that he would just watch them and be proud on the sidelines when they got their own darling. In a way he does kind of see it as when he was trying to get his darling.

Napoleon: Age of the Lion - Chapter 43. Napoleon gets beat up by both his mom and Pauline while Junot and Marmont watch.

This chapter marks the “official” start of the Italian campaign in the manga. This chapter brings in Sérurier, reintroduces Berthier, and mentions Eugene as Napoleon’s aide-de-camp, but he’s not shown. Mama Bonaparte also beats up Murat. Chapter 42 reintroduced this manga’s take on Masséna, and also brings in Carnot and Augereau. No sighting of Lannes, Bessières, or Victor yet, but I’m sure Tetsuya Hasegawa won’t keep us waiting much longer!

I decided to bust out my drawing tablet and use Photoshop again to create a comic for The 40, and I will say...it's a start for me to brush up on my digital illustration skills.

Izuku has come a long way after his year-long intense training regiment compared to his Pre-Character Development self. But the most gracious physical feat he had performed that would make Bakugou jealous and All Might proud, was being able to catch a bullet fired from a revolver.

I was looking over Alan Moore's well-known comic, Watchmen, and was greatly interested in Ozymandias' character and the astonishing physical and mental feats he's able to perform after dedicating himself to training his mind and body by retracing the steps of Alexander the Great by traveling the world. The one thing that interests me about how he managed to become what he is, is through his interview in the second to last issue. Where Adrian firmly believes that anyone can do what he can achieve, as you need to have the belief and willpower to see it through.

And what do you know...Izuku manages to do the impossible after the many trials that await him in the year-long intense training regiment. Reacting immediately upon seeing an unknown assailant pull a revolver on him, and summoning all of his willpower and technique to time his catching of the bullet correctly. However, like with Ozymandias, Izuku's skin was damaged from the bullet due to the obvious friction from the speed it had. But it's still a great accomplishment compared to his pre-training self, as the bullet would've burst through his hand and killed him, never mind the idea that he could actually catch it.

Mmmmm ok ok ok excellent question, but very hard for me to narrow down... I ship *so many things* in so many different series.
