I realized that I become very agressive if I cut down on weed. Just wanted to share and ask if anyone has any recommentadions on how to lower your agression
This is advice for weed withdrawal and being in an angry mood in general. First off, I recommend avoiding shit that pisses you off as much as possible until you're good. DO NOT ENGAGE.
My DBT therapists would recommend trying immediate actions to reset the nervous system. It's called the TIP skill. You don't have to do all of them---temperature and exercise work best for me.
Next check on your body. Are you hungry? Tired? Dirty? Hot or Cold? Fix that shit.
Next let's take a look at your surroundings. Does your home put you at ease? Does it feel comfy and safe? Fix that next.
After that I recommend identifying underlying emotions. Just open a journal or talk out loud to yourself to process what's bothering you. Drink a warm cup of coffee or tea. Hold yourself and cry. You don't have to like that you're experiencing withdrawal effects, but you can accept it. It won't last forever.
If anyone else has tips they are most welcome!

Tbh I'm surprised nobody else has brought up the idea of Richard being abused too
It feels like a lot of potential for it and an explanation (aside from their status) as to why Roy never got help for it either -- Richard thought it was normal.
Now this is just making me imagine a scene where Carmen remarks that Roy will "grow out of it" (it being his behavior) like Richard did in front of the other Hatz and Ross and Robert just share a Look
Anddd now I'm wondering how much Carmen knows
TW for discussions of fictional CSA/SA and mentions of alcoholism
Me too, I thought it would be an obvious assumption but I guess not.
Exactly, Iâve seen the fandom explore Carmen and Royâs relationship regarding his CSA but never with Richard. I think itâs ashamed because thereâs a lot you can write for the relationship, even outside of their CSA.
Omg thatâs a good scene idea. The Hatzgang are realized there is a deeper issue, and Roy has to unfortunately unpack that generational trauma. I can see how learning his dad is a possible CSA victim, like him, starts pushing Roy to tell his parents but also discourages him because basically Richard unknowingly knew Roy was SA but never recognized it because he doesnât know he was SA too. I also believe Richard normalized his brotherâs actions too. Itâs truly devastating how Richard indirectly contributed to the normalization of Royâs abuse but he doesnât know itâs SA. He believes those fun âgamesâ him and his brother played were normal family bonding activities and is happy to hear his son is getting along with his brother, a brother he admired when growing up.
These headcanons might change as the series continues and the deeper I get into research.
I headcanon Carmen doesnât know anything but has suspected something was off a few times. She never thought anything of Richardâs behavior at first because he alway been this way. When they became adults, she started questioning as Richard still had issues with intimacy at that point in their relationship and his alcoholism was at its worst. (Short ver: Richard started drinking at a young age to cope with trauma of his SA and the Uncle encouraged this, buying him alcohol for various reasons. Modern day, Richard is a functional alcoholic but has gotten better with his drinking)
As of the moment, Royâs parents are unaware of Royâs CSA. The day the Uncle died, Roy did get in trouble but for separate reasons. Carmen and Richard were mad at Roy for hanging out with âplebeiansâ and sending them to one of his uncleâs private properties. Roy doesnât feel comfortable telling them yet because theyâre snobby, judgmental people, so he assumes they wonât react well.
#sorry if the length bothers you#This idea has been taking up my brain#There is so much to unpack about this idea like Richardâs life in the past. the generational truama. and Royâs life in the present#I also want to apologize if some headcanons are poorly implemented. I feel there was certain headcanons I have that wouldnât make sense-#without other pre-lore headcanons to explain them and I didnât know to add them smoothly#I have so many thoughts for this AU they obviously focus on Richardâs youth and Roy in current#Iâm currently interested in fleshing out Richardâs youth and how he dealt with the CSA without knowing it#Especially the social side of like being a boyfriend and having dumbass friends who also are dealing with their own issues. develop their-#own terrible habits. and encourage one another toxic behaviors because they were stupid teenagers#I do have a scene in mind when Roy eventually tells Carmen and Richard about his SA and have written a little for it#Like Iâd mentioned thereâs a lot of potential with this AU and I want to see the fandom talk about Roy and Richardâs relationship-#More so regarding their CSA experiences. I believe it can be a powerful story to write#Though one thing I donât like about it is how I have to write for the Uncle and give him a character#just a awful character to write for#eugh#BTW I do have a sensitive reader for this AU but criticism is still very much welcome#spooky month#spooky month roy#spooky month carmen#spooky month richard#answered asks#ChuchaYucca.text#tw csa mention#tw csa#tw sa mention#tw sa#tw alchoholism

https://www.theverge.com/2022/2/25/22949293/tumblr-nycchr-settlement-adult-content-ban-algorithmic-bias-lgbtq
For those who don't remember, here's the lawsuit two years ago where Tumblr (or specifically Automattic) settled with the New York City Commission on Human Rights regarding Tumblr's terribly implemented porn ban targeting LGBTQ folk more than it should. Here's an excerpt detailing what the NYCCHR ordered Tumblr to do:
The settlement gives Tumblr 180 days to hire an expert on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) issues and provide related training to moderators. It must also hire someone with experience in this area as well as expertise in image classification, who will review Tumblrâs moderation algorithms to see if theyâre more likely to flag LGBTQ content. As part of an overall review, Tumblr will reexamine 3,000 old cases where a user successfully appealed a takedown, looking for patterns that could indicate bias.
Now, on a totally unrelated note, here's the complaint page for reporting discrimination to the NYCCHR. Completely unrelated to what's going on right now or the rest of this post, I swear.
[edited since it looks like the link broke somehow]
[edit #2: again, for unrelated reasons, here's a link to a post about the San Francisco equivalent]

whatâs the story about the generative power model and water consumption? /gen
There's this myth going around about generative AI consuming truly ridiculous amount of power and water. You'll see people say shit like "generating one image is like just pouring a whole cup of water out into the Sahara!" and bullshit like that, and it's just... not true. The actual truth is that supercomputers, which do a lot of stuff, use a lot of power, and at one point someone released an estimate of how much power some supercomputers were using and people went "oh, that supercomputer must only do AI! All generative AI uses this much power!" and then just... made shit up re: how making an image sucks up a huge chunk of the power grid or something. Which makes no sense because I'm given to understand that many of these models can run on your home computer. (I don't use them so I don't know the details, but I'm told by users that you can download them and generate images locally.) Using these models uses far less power than, say, online gaming. Or using Tumblr. But nobody ever talks about how evil those things are because of their power generation. I wonder why.
To be clear, I don't like generative AI. I'm sure it's got uses in research and stuff but on the consumer side, every effect I've seen of it is bad. Its implementation in products that I use has always made those products worse. The books it writes and flood the market with are incoherent nonsense at best and dangerous at worst (let's not forget that mushroom foraging guide). It's turned the usability of search engines from "rapidly declining, but still usable if you can get past the ads" into "almost one hundred per cent useless now, actually not worth the effort to de-bullshittify your search results", especially if you're looking for images. It's a tool for doing bullshit that people were already doing much easier and faster, thus massively increasing the amount of bullshit. The only consumer-useful uses I've seen of it as a consumer are niche art projects, usually projects that explore the limits of the tool itself like that one poetry book or the Infinite Art Machine; overall I'd say its impact at the Casual Random Person (me) level has been overwhelmingly negative. Also, the fact that so much AI turns out to be underpaid people in a warehouse in some country with no minimum wage and terrible labour protections is... not great. And the fact that it's often used as an excuse to try to find ways to underpay professionals ("you don't have to write it, just clean up what the AI came up with!") is also not great.
But there are real labour and product quality concerns with generative AI, and there's hysterical bullshit. And the whole "AI is magically destroying the planet via climate change but my four hour twitch streaming sesh isn't" thing is hysterical bullshit. The instant I see somebody make this stupid claim I put them in the same mental bucket as somebody complaining about AI not being "real art" -- a hatemobber hopping on the hype train of a new thing to hate and feel like an enlightened activist about when they haven't bothered to learn a fucking thing about the issue. And I just count my blessings that they fell in with this group instead of becoming a flat earther or something.

Dreading the thought of how many people from Gen Z and Gen Alpha are going to at least feel softer towards Trump for restoring TikTok, if not outright deciding that he and the GOP might not be that bad.
Y'all.
The GOP is terrible. They hate women, they hate POC, they hate queer people, they want to eject millions of people from this country, and even if you don't care about how horribly devastating it'll be for them to have to go back to countries where they will literally be murdered, and how horribly that will affect their families who are allowed to stay, keep in mind that they pick all our fruits and vegetables, which will now wither on the vine. Republicans aren't going to do a thing about climate change and will in fact implement policies that will speed it up, which means more devastating hurricanes, more wildfires that wipe out entire cities, more risk of frozen diseases coming back because of the melting icecaps, entire cities that are soon to be drowned, also because of the melting icecaps, and places near the equator becoming uninhabitable. I actually live in a city that, due to climate change, will become uninhabitable in a hundred years.
The point is, yeah sure, Trump might bring your favorite app back. But that doesn't mean he isn't terrible. Please don't forget that.

I see a lot of posts on here talking about the Solas/Elgar'nan segment in Blood of Arlathan and how it's one of the best scenes in the game, and they'd be right, but I don't see enough people talking about how comically the whole thing is undercut by quite possibly the most poorly-conceived, terribly-implemented looney-tunes-ass sequence in gaming history that surrounds it.
Like you show up with your friends to this Venatori party, and you're like great, we're sneaking in! Time for disguises. How convenient that these Venatori guys all wear hoods, right? Should be a piece of cake if we're all, you know, wearing hoods that would helpfully hide our identities. But no. We all go waltzing in with our whole-ass faces exposed, you know, the group of guys that have been murdering Venatori left and right and who Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain have definitely all seen in person before. Oh, and don't worry about walking into this notoriously racist elf-sacrificing cult if you happen to be an elf! You're only here in disguise so that you can rescue a GROUP OF ELVES THEY'RE GOING TO SACRIFICE but it's ok because you're dressed as a mercenary and not a dalish so it's all good don't worry about it :) :)
Then you get into this fucking party and oh my fucking god it's like they decided to take all of the most comically over-the-top stereotypes of villainy and put them on display. Because why not! The Venatori are all sickos anyway so of course they'd be out here doing sicko things! There's some guys pulling a halla apart with blood magic! There's other guys using slaves as benches! They're all laughing and joking about how EVIL they are, hahaha, how cool is that? The fucking guy from D'Meta's Crossing is here if you don't let him die, because he's a fucked up evil sicko too! You're supposed to be shocked at this hideous display; recoil in horror, even!
And who do you bring with you to help get through this crowd of absolute lunatics? NEVE FUCKING GALLUS. You know, the person so well-known in Minrathous that a Dalish elf living in Arlathan KNEW HER BY REPUTATION. Yup, Neve Gallus with her INTENSELY RECOGNIZABLE PROSTHETIC just waltzes up to some guy and he just lets her in. Because being EVIL also makes you incapable of coherent thought, apparently.
And then. AND THEN. You walk across the bridge where Elgar'nan makes his thought-sounds at you, and YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING PARTY is already there, just hanging out nbd. Also not wearing hoods or any kind of disguises that couldn't instantly be seen through by a five-year-old with amnesia but ok, cool. Why did we bother walking through all those sickos then when we could've just taken the secret back entrance like the rest of them, idk.
But just when you think you've reached peak stupidity, it keeps going. You're now standing there, at the front of a crowd of about twelve people, approximately five feet away from Elgar'nan himself, inexplicably blending in, when the big guy puts the mind control whammy on everyone. Oh no, you think. We've been found out! Here's the part in the plan where things begin to go wrong! NO. Your mage friends SECRETLY PERFORM MAGICAL GESTURES to block the mind control, and then you LITERALLY FUCKING SIDLE OFF STAGE LEFT without ANYONE NOTICING. I should reiterate that at this point, you are still about FIVE FEET AWAY FROM ELGAR'NAN and his fucking ARCHDEMON.
And to conclude this absolute comedy of idiocy, as soon as you enter back into combat mode, you immediately ditch all of your disguises. And of course then, ONLY THEN, Elgar'nan notices you've been there. Cut to the end of the actual good sequence, this dramatic conversation performed by excellent voice actors and written miles better than most other things in this game, and you reach your final prize: about six guys trapped in a little cube. Cool, you tell yourself. This was definitely worth it. You take your fade-to-black teleporter back to the Lighthouse and they're never heard from again.
This was the quest that broke me. This was the moment that all hope for Veilguard finally snapped. I consider myself to be a very resilient person in the face of camp and goofy writing, but this was too much disbelief for my brain to suspend. The mental gymnastics necessary to make this whole sequence make any kind of sense were simply beyond me. Even Solas's dulcet tones could not salvage it for me after that.

Hrng more WoF character sketches while I chip away at my other projects. Featuring even more green SeaWings.
1. Rendering practice with Turtle against The Brightest Nightâs cover. I rewatched Klaus and fell in love with that movieâs style and it inspired me to try something other than flat shading. Definitely gonna be implementing that with my Listener headshot.
2. Shark and Moray concept exploration. I like the idea of Shark having tiger shark stripes. Not terribly satisfied with his coloration as I mostly borrowed it from the graphic novel. Moray was fun. Maybe I made her too eel-ish but I enjoy exaggerating designs and then reeling them back down into something a little more concrete. For this concept I went in a direction that made her vaguely unsettling but also a little vacant in the head. The only thing sheâs ever thinking about is Coral. I wish I knew what her deal was. I bet Coral played a heavy role in her upbringing to ensure she was subservient and completely worshipful of her in order to avoid a potential challenger. Iâm definitely strolling into headcanon territory here, but weâve never met Morayâs mother, so my theory is that Coral stepped in after her untimely death (or disappearance ooo), as a way to control Moray. I could absolutely see it causing bad blood between Shark and Coral.
3. Shark again, but with an emphasis on shapes. Heâs much more rectangular and sharp with a dark, heavy brow. This is my final version for the time being. I gave him a little wobbegong beard and the eyes of a man who is dead inside.
4. Ah, and Whirlpool. Heâs been a favorite to draw because I get to revel in villainous design tropes. I didnât want to make him overtly ugly, but he does have an unsavory look going on. Leaned into a scheme-y advisor archetype. Heâs drippy and downturned with large, heavy, lidded eyes. I, uh, weirdly enough ended up taking a lot of design inspiration from Micolash (Bloodborne), primarily in the eyes and the smarmy grin. Heâs my personal headcanon for Whirlpoolâs voice even if the characters are hardly alike. Micolashâs voice just has this perfect oozing quality to it that makes my ears itch. If not him, then my other choice is that guy from the âwhat would you call this in Englishâ meme. Yâknow the one.

A Word of Advice About Critique Groups, Beta Readers, and Other Peer-Based Feedback on Your Writing
In my time as a professional editor, I've had many writers come to me with stories they've been trying to improve based on suggestions from critique groups, beta readers, or other non-professional feedback sources (friends, family, etc.). The writers are often frustrated because they don't agree with the feedback, they can't make sense of the comments they've gotten, or they've tried their best to implement the suggestions but now they've made a big mess of things and don't know where to go from here.
If this happens to you, you're not alone. Here's the deal.
Readers and beginning writers are great at sniffing out problems, but they can be terrible at recommending solutions. For that reason, critique groups can be a disastrous place for beginning writers to get advice.
Here's a good metaphor. Imagine you donât know the first thing about cars. Someone tells you, âThereâs oil leaking onto the driveway. You should cover the car with a giant garbage bag.â Alarmed, you oblige, only to be told the next day that ânow the car smells like burning plastic and I canât see out the windows.â
A mechanic wouldâve listened to the criticâs complaint and come up with their own solution to the leaking oil, ignoring the amateurâs ridiculous idea, because they know how to fix cars and can use their skills to investigate symptoms and find the correct solution.
Critique groups actually arenât bad places for experienced writers, because they can listen to the criticism, interpret it, and come up with their own remedies to the problems readers are complaining about. Beginning writers, on the other hand, can end up digging themselves into a deeper hole.
There's a great Neil Gaiman quote about this very conundrum:
Remember: when people tell you somethingâs wrong or doesnât work for them, they are almost always right. When they tell you exactly what they think is wrong and how to fix it, they are almost always wrong.
So what to do?
First, try to investigate the reader's complaint and come up with your own solution, instead of taking their solution to the problem. Sometimes, in the end, the reader's solution was exactly right, which is lovely, but don't count on it. Do your own detective work.
Second, take everything you hear with a huge grain of salt, and run the numbers. Are 9 out of 10 readers complaining about your rushed ending? It's probably worth investigating. Does nobody have an issue with your abrasive antagonist except your cozy mystery-loving uncle? Then you might not need to worry about it.
Third, give everything you hear a gut check. Does the criticism, while painful, ring true? Or does it seem really off-base to you? Let the feedback sit for a week or so while you chill out. You might find you're less sensitive and open to what's been said after a little more time has passed.
Lastly, consider getting professional feedback on your writing. Part of my job as an editor is to listen to previous feedback the writer has gotten, figure out whether the readers were tracking the scent of legitimate problems, and offer the writer more coherent solutions. Of course, some professional editors aren't very good at this, just like some non-professional readers are amazing at it, so hiring someone isn't a guarantee. But editors usually have more experience taking a look under the hood and giving writers sound mechanical advice about their work, rather than spouting ideas off the top of their head that only add to the writer's confusion.
Hope this helps!

You dont need to answer but I just wanted to tell you I adore Paradox being like "I hate all of them except" and then listing everyone except like 2 guys, honey you don't hate *all* of them you expressly don't hate *most of them*
Extremely charming characterization i adore it
[Creator Special number 2!]
So glad someone noticed that, I was originally going to have him name EVERYONE except Boost but then I was like ânah, Mania is just too annoying for Paradox to tolerate himâ
And thanks! Iâm trying to be⌠consistent with my characterization of each of them and stay in line with canon but like⌠URGH sometimes I want to deviate so bad just to indulge but I resist!
Needless to say tho, prism is probably going to get more affectionate later on. Rewatched Sonic Prime again and bro is a cutie patootie!
Headcanons⌠headcanons⌠hmm
Well, starting with the obvious, Paradox goes to therapy as Iâve mentioned which I think is hilarious. He and Lance are the only Shadows who really have their shit together which is why I think Sonadow works well for them? (we stan healthy relationships guys)
I do head canon that Eight doesnt like being touched really at all anymore. After the metal virus, he grew so used to the fact that he couldnât touch anyone that it sorta just stuck. He does it to save people, but not anything more. :(
And while Iâm a sucker for the Trans Sonic HC I decided not to implement it in this particular AU!
I really want to include Captain Sonic and Shadow, but I havenât played nor watched a serious play through of the game. (Iâve only really listened to a bit of the Snapcube dub..)
can someone tell me if Shadow is a Barista or a Mechanic in that game btw?? I google it, nothing pops up. I couldâve sworn there was something about a mechanic.
Uhh I LOVE Sonic Frontiers, fire game. If I include that one, itâll ALSO be Sonamy since Iâm pretty sure that game takes place before SA2 in canon?
Iâm trying to keep the Sonics and Shadows balanced but Iâd love to add Generations Shadow and Sonic. Just thinking of names already I get âDoomâ for Shadow and âEmeraldâ for Sonic. (Referencing the fake emerald from their interaction in the shadow story)
Unfortunately I havenât seen the Archie comics or Sonic Underground so I wouldnât even know where to begin.
Someone also asked about if Iâd ever include different AUâs: maybe if those AU creators gave me permission Iâd be down to do a collab for a few asks or something!
Nope!
I dunno I just..! ⌠how do I do? Iâm fast. And youâre slow. Thatâs how I did it. /ref
Ahahah just kidding! But I am very fast. A few years ago I convinced myself I was a âslow drawerâ because I was in a discord server with someone I looked up to (and holy cheese they could draw out fully articulate sketches in like 30 seconds!)
So I got insecure and taught myself to draw really fast. So now I just.. zoom! This does have a terrible draw back where I will very frequently forget smaller details.
Like if you look at half the posts, Shadow is missing his eyeliner and other markings frequently.
THIS IS JUST HILARIOUS TO ME YOU GUYS. PLEASEâ
Iâve gotten SO many asks in my box about using Maria to calm the Shadows down or trying to give Shadows âMaria plushiesâ
Imagine youâre having a bad day and you get a plushie of your dead sibling thrown at you??? LMFAOOOO
I CANT I CANT I CANT PUT THEM THROUGH THAT đ Also I see every single ask.
âDo you all like Latinasâ and âsonic which shadow is the hottest/shadow which sonic is the hottestâ have all been engraved in my brain
Was joking with a friend on how that second question would come out LMFAOO

Yandere!Retired Colonel headcanons
You only knew him by his nickname, "Saint", beyond that you knew nothing about him. But oh, did he know everything about you.
You, sweet and young, fresh outta college and working at the base he was stationed at before he decided to retire. You who took care of the daycare on base, who didn't even bat an eye at the insanity that the children you took care of looked like.
Saint even adopted a kid from the dumb program just to have an excuse to talk and see you, little Henry was a pain in the ass, literally and figuratively. The brat always clung to you, crying he didn't wanna go home. Making Saint look like a terrible grandfather. "Listen here you little brat, I'm trying to make sure they can't just up and leave, so start acting like I'm the greatest grandfather alive before you scare them off!"
Sweet, young bleeding heart little you. Always talking and smiling at him like he's some regular guy and not a powerful Colonel who could (and would if you ever tempted or forced his hand) ruin your budding little career before the hour ended. Of course though he'd never do that, not with how often he sees you now, at drop off, pick up, sometimes you ask guardians to help around the daycare, he's there every time.
Saint, who once he decides you're his, immediately gets to work implementing himself in your life, both personal and professional. Using little Henry as an excuse, poor boy getting used as an excuse for why the two ran into you everywhere you seemed to go. "Oh, hello Henry, Saint! What brings you two to the library?" You smile and ask as you hold a small stack of books, unaware that Saint was scanning the titles so he could ask you next time which was your favorite. Saint smiles and holds Henry's shoulder, laughing slightly. "Poor boy practically cried and threw a fit demanding we come to the library because he wanted to read and play in the kids section!" You were far too busy to see Henry glaring at Saint, his eyes darkening as you smiled and talked to him.
Saint, who finally asks you out on a proper date (you don't know of course that the date will be your last in a while, he already has your room set up in his cabin. Henry helped him pick everything out, the kid loved you too much to let his idiot of a grandfather make you feel unhappy.) When you accepted he smiled and offered to pick you up, you spent the rest of the day smiling and giggling as Henry clung to your leg pouting.
That night, you had a lovely date, perfect in every way, Saint was the perfect gentleman. Letting you order whatever you wanted and asking about your interests and life. He even insisted you call him by his actual name, Nicolas. He loved the way it rolled off your tongue, could only imagine you moaning and whimpering it as he went down on you later on-
You felt woozy during the last bit of the date, had you drank more than you thought, no way... you couldn't have, you looked up over at him, Saint looked perfectly fine, not like you. You stumbled slightly out your seat, he was there, holding you steady. "Oh dear, poor thing, let's get you home yeah sweetheart? You had lots to drink, I'll get your dessert to go." He murmured in your ear, holding you closely to his side his large hand firmly on your hip, keeping you near him.
The last thing you remember before passing out was Saint, helping you to his car. Hand on your hips as he assured you everything was alright, that you were just tipsy. Something in his voice made you feel weird but it got overshadowed by your head muddling as you whimpered softly and promptly passed out. You never knew that he drugged you, he wasn't a monster. He just needed you woozy enough to get you to his cabin.
"Don't look at me like that little brat, they're just unconscious. What? You gonna sleep by their bedside to protect their virtue?" "Yeah, because I don't trust you, grandfather." "You little fucker- Jesus! Did you just bite me?!"

Reasons to end the monarchy: Charles Edition
Well it's the coronation so you know what it's time for.
The entire concept of a monarchy is actively undemocratic. The head of state should not be someone who is only in that position because they were born into a certain family.
Having a monarchy upholds classism as a specific family of great wealth and power are viewed as superior to others.
They stand for a history of racism and imperialism. This country has done some truly terrible things in its history and the monarchy are a symbol of that. In order to attempt to begin to undo the harm that we have done, we need to remove this symbol of oppression.
The royal family have previously lobbied the government to hide their own personal wealth. Despite this, we are obviously aware that they have a large amount of wealth.
Prince Charles has himself lobbied the government on a number of occasions. His 'black spider memos' show that he has repeatedly pressured ministers on a wide range of topics from the Iraq war to badger culling to alternative therapies. He has used his power to lobby the government on subjects that would affect him.
The monarch does not occupy a ceremonial role as is frequently claimed. Ministers and civil servants have to consult the monarch. Civil servants have to get the consent of the royals on pieces of legislation, which can cause delays on implementation.
Even if the monarch did occupy a purely ceremonial role, as a literal billionaire he wields a ridiculously high amount of power over people.
Windsor Castle brings in less money than Windsor Legoland does. The many castles that are owned by the royal family could be used to create spaces for the public to enjoy or to be used as a shelter for the homeless. The Louvre in Paris used to be house of the French monarchy and gets over twenty times the tourists. Edinburgh castle hasn't had the monarchy live in it for centuries and yet still brings in tourism.
Prince Andrew is widely known to be connected to Jeffrey Epstein; yet he has not had to face any repercussions for his actions despite blatantly lying when being asked about his actions. The royal family have defended him and prevented him from facing the consequences of his actions.
They cost around ÂŁ334 million per year. This money could be used to help the poor, given to the NHS, to repair and build infrastructure, to support small businesses that are struggling, pretty much anything.
The royal household publishes a much lower figure about the cost of the royal family, so they are actively trying to cover up their cost.
Charles has had access to confidential Cabinet papers, undermining our democracy.
He has publicly championed alternative medicine and has repeatedly promoted it. He sent at least seven letters to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, that then shortly relaxed the rules governing the labeling of herbal products, ones he as part of Charles's Duchy Originals produces.
He lobbied the health secretary regarding greater provision of alternative treatments on the NHS.
In 2018, 46% of Britons wanted him to abdicate immediately after Elizabeth died. Heâs barely wanted by the country even with the sheer amount of pro-monarchy propaganda going around. Charles specifically is very unpopular.
In order to speak to him, broadcasters had to sign a 15-page contract, which includes Clarence house attending the rough and fine cut edits of films and if unhappy can remove that contribution, as well as stipulating that all questions directed at him must be pre-approved and vetted by his representative.
His personal wealth is ÂŁ1.8 billion. He inherited a large amount of this from Elizabeth, with it being exempt from inheritance tax. Having an immunity from this tax when others donât is ridiculous.
The Duchy of Cornwall was named in the Paradise papers.
The coronation is going to cost ÂŁ100 million during a cost of living crisis.
People have been banned from protesting Charles with official warning letters were sent to anti-monarchists.
Protestors who block roads, airports and railways could face an entire year behind bars. Locking yourself to others, objects or buildings could go to prison for six months and face an unlimited fine. Police are allowed to head off disruption by stopping and searching protestors that they suspect.
The public were encouraged to swear allegiance to the new King when he gets sworn in, this is a deeply disturbing suggestion.
He's a billionaire who's going to use the public's money to celebrate himself.
The monarch has sweeping immunity from many laws
He owns business parks and small rented cottages, six of the ten top residential homes, 285,000 acres of mineral rich land. Heâs ridiculously rich in a country where so many people are facing extreme poverty.

You know when youâre in a bad situation and you make up little scenarios for how youâll deal with the absolute most terrible next thing that could happen?
But then that thing never happens and all the imaginary scenarios with plans C-Z never need to be implemented?
I had one (1) time in my life that it actually played out that I needed the exact response to a scenario I had anticipated.
At the time I was living with my ex down in Arizona with, and I donât capitalize this lightly, The Worst Roommates Iâve Ever Had. They were truly the absolute worst. My ex was friends with the boyfriend, so he and his girlfriend offered to move in with us when I moved down.
They picked the house, which was $1000 out of our budget, subsidized by the girlfriends mom. They had an extremely obese dog and a cat. Because they were moving in before us they filled the house entirely with all their stuff and felt entitled to kick us out of any area because of that.
We were watching a movie? Too bad, that was their tv and couch. When we argued we hadnât been given the option to have a couch, tv, dishes, or literally anything except a bed they basically just shrugged. Things were in general very terrible and the communication was worse, but the straw that broke us was when they brought home a new puppy with absolutely no warning.
This led to a forty five minute full on screaming match and both couples retreating to their rooms, fuming. My mind was spinning very quickly though, because we had loudly declared weâd be moving out and this couple had shown that they viewed the house as theirs. I told my ex my worry but she shrugged it off as irrational.
After an hour of cooldown the boyfriend came into the hallway and I stepped out to meet him.
âSince you guys are moving out we donât want you using our dishes or pans anymore,â he declared. That was my exact fear.
There wasnât space to store additional dishes of our own, or the pans that I had in storage. So weâd have had a month of paper plates and no ability to cook or utensils to eat with.
I smiled and said, âI thought you might say that. If thatâs the case, then I donât believe weâll be paying the water or electricity bills which are entirely in your name and donât affect us.â Them camping out on all the ownership and leaving us out suddenly had a consequence.
He looked stunned and after a moment just said, âWell played.â He turned and walked back down the hall. I heard him repeat it to his girlfriend through the door as it closed, âThat was really well played.â
I retreated to our room, shaking and stressed but proud that Iâd scored a point. Our move went off alright and we settled into what would go down as the sketchiest place Iâve ever lived, but at least I didnât have to worry about when I was allowed to watch TV.

Kings and Jesters
â summary: zoro x f!reader - a silly game on the Thousand Sunny causes Zoro to confront his feelings about their newest member. Based on my original bullet point HC here.

âââââââââââââââââââââââ
Zoro was drunk. He needed to think and therefore was on his second bottle of hard liquor. He always did his best thinking when he was drunk, right?
Zoro thought long and hard about you. What was it about you? Why did he keep feeling himself drawn to you? Whatever it was, he was done letting you in so carelessly. He would not let you invade his mind. He had decided whatever he was feeling was most definitely not romantic feelings. He was sure of it. He would make sure of it.
After coming to this decision he continued to sit back on the bird's nest and enjoy his drink, all the while he desperately tried to tune out the charades taking place on the main deck. One voice in particular, he begged to stop hearing.
âŚ
It was a silly drinking game.Â
You were the one who introduced this game to the Strawhat crew, and everyone was having a blast. The game involved drinking, stupid challenges, and inconsequential punishments. Everything a silly party game needs.Â
After you introduced the game to the Strawhat crew, they picked it up in stride. The game was called âKingâ and it involved competing in a handful of goofy challenges in which the winner of each round was crowned the King and the rest of the losers had to drink. The King was then allowed to penalize one of the losers by implementing a punishment- which was usually making them complete some sort of dare. Additionally, to add incentive, Nami decided she would be collecting a âCowards Feeâ on anyone who didnât want to complete their dare. Suffice to say, everyone was going through with them.Â
In other words, it was a fast, fun way to get wasted.Â
The Sunny was sailing into an autumn climate and the air was chilly. You were grateful for the fireplace Franky had built as you felt the gentle breeze glide along your back. You smiled as you watched Sanji bring out a tray of marshmallows towards Chopper, who perked up at the idea of sweets. The moon was nearly full and everyone had finally settled around the fireplace living off of the alcoholic buzz and comradery that the game created. Well, almost everyone.Â
Sanji cried out in anguish as the whole crew choked on their laughter. Franky was the previous winner and had declared that Sanji would be punished by eating a bite of a dangerously spicy pepper he had picked up on a previous island. It was not a pretty sight.
They had all come up with pretty good punishments this round. Usopp was forced to hold a spider that Robin found under the deck, Luffy was punished by Usopp, who dared him to jump into the oceanâgiven that Usopp would rescue him shortly afterâ and sweet Chopper made Robin give him a head massage behind his ears. Of course, Robin didnât think this was much of a punishment, and happily scratched Chopper's head.Â
âI WIN!â Nami shouted, jumping up and looking devilishly at the crew. Who knew Nami would be so good at card games?
Nami peered around at the crew grinning as she thought about what punishment would bring the most entertainment.Â
âPick me Nami ~â Sanji said, earning an eye roll from the orange haired girl. âPunish me please ~â She ignored his begging, but this did give her an idea. She suddenly turned towards you. You flinched under her mischievous gaze. You had been spared all night and now had a bad feeling it was about to become your turn. Just as predicted, her finger shot out and pointed straight at you.Â
âY/N. Donât get cocky because youâre new on this ship. Stand up!âÂ
You got up from your seated position chuckling nervously at Namiâs antics. You doubted she would give you something too terrible, sheâs been very protective of you since you boarded the Sunny. The Strawhats all cheered as you walked over to Nami, hooting and hollering for a good punishment.Â
Nami slapped her hand across your shoulders, âAlright, Y/N. As a guest on this ship you must show your gratitude to the crew! I demand you give one of our crewmates a kiss! Iâll even be nice and let you choose who, though I think the answer is easy enough.â Nami said, batting her eyelashes at you.Â
Your eyes widened, mouth agape, you couldnât find the words to respond. You could feel your ears turn red as the whole crew exploded in excitement. Sanji went comatose.Â
âNami⌠I donât know about this.â You complained, âI don't know if Iâm comfortable with a âŚkiss.âÂ
âWhatâs wrong? Too many good options?â Shouted out Franky, âChoose me! Iâll definitely make it SUPER!âÂ
âItâs just a small kiss. No need to read into it,â said Robin.Â
Sanji, staggered to his feet, âY/N, I would be honored if you chose me as a representative of this ship, to bestow a k-k-kis-â he stopped to cover his nose as a jet of blood shot from it and he collapsed back again.Â
Luffy protested, âBut Iâm the Captain! Iâm the representative of the ship!âÂ
âLuffy, do you really want Y/N to kiss you?â questioned Usopp.Â
âWhat? No. Iâm just sayinâ Iâm the Captain!âÂ
âSO! Y/N, who is it going to be?â Nami interrupted, stopping the crew from getting too off-topic.Â
âGuys, I really donât know about this. Itâs not really something Iâm, particularly⌠experienced in.â You beg your face to stop changing colors but feel your cheeks betraying you.Â
âWhat do you mean?â Robin pressed, âHave you ever kissed anyone?âÂ
You desperately try to avoid eye contact. âUhâŚâÂ
The deck of the Sunny suddenly went silent and you felt your embarrassment deepen even more. Suddenly everyone exploded in astonishment and reinvigorated competition.Â
âOh. My. God.â Nami couldnât believe it, âThis changes everything. ALRIGHT EVERYONE! This is now a competition to see who deserves to receive Y/Nâs first kiss!âÂ
âŚ
Zoroâs drunken brooding was interrupted by shouts and arguing. He shifted from where he sat, the shouts werenât in fear or danger, but emotions were definitely high. Luffyâs laugh pierced through the yells. What the hell are those idiots doing?
Zoro stood up and stumbled a little, suddenly feeling the liquor working through his veins. Zoro descended the birdnestâs ladder and staggered towards the main deck. As he turned the corner an odd scene appeared before him. Zoro couldnât quite make out what the argument was about, but he heard everyone shouting over each other.
âIâm the one who initiated the dare in the first place! So Iâm the obvious choice here! Itâs only fair!â screamed Nami, pulling hard on Usoppâs ear who yelped out in pain.Â
âOh yeah?â Usopp winced, âWell I was the best kisser in all of Syrup Village! It should be me!âÂ
âThatâs nice, but if we are basing this on experience, the older members should be at the top of the list. Right, Franky?â Robin asserted.
âRRRRRRRRRIGHT AS ALWAYS, ROBIN!â Franky posed showing off his muscles, âY/N! Robin and I are obviously the best choices!âÂ
Sanji was incoherent, struggling to stop his still bleeding nose. All that could be heard was a pathetic beg, âPlease⌠Please⌠Y/Nâs first⌠PleaseâŚâÂ
Luffy and Chopper sat back laughing at the whole crew, uninterested in the prize and stuffing their cheeks with marshmallows.Â
âWhat the hell is goinâ on here?â Zoro said gruffly.
You jumped slightly. You were so focused on the chaos that was taking place in front of you that you didnât notice Zoro walking up.Â
âOh, Zoro. Uh⌠We were playing a game andâŚâ You struggled to get the words out.Â
Zoro waited, watching you squirm with cheeks flushed. This is unfair.Â
You launched into a story, something about a game and a punishment, but Zoro wasnât following. He was just staring, watching the way your lips formed each word. One might say he was distracted. Thankfully, he tuned back in to hear the conclusion.Â
â- and so now everyone is arguing about whoâs going to get my⌠first kiss. I guess. Itâs all so dumb, I just want this to be over with.â you said burying your face in your hands as you heard Nami smack Sanjiâs head back down after he had finally gotten back up.
âTheyâre what?â Zoro finally comprehended the implications of this punishment. Y/Nâs first kissâŚ
âI know, I donât know how to get out of this. Nami will probably bleed my pockets dry if I bail out. Probably best to just choose someone and get it over with.â You peeked out of your hands up at him. You were getting redder by the second.Â
Zoro looked at the brawling party and then back to you. His chest hurt.Â
âFirst kiss, how stupid.â he mumbled.
âI know! Thatâs what Iâm trying to tell everyo--âÂ
There was a crash and suddenly Zoroâs hands were gripping your face, and before you could process it, his lips were crashing into yours.Â
It was nothing like you imagined your first kiss would go. It was clumsy and he tasted like liquor. One of his hands gripped your jaw and the other tangled in your hair. You could barely keep up with his pace. One of your hands gripped his shirt and the other gripped his arm to ground yourself. His tongue was gliding over yours forcefully, you squeeked at the unfamiliar sensation, which only seemed to encourage Zoro.Â
It only lasted around 10 seconds, but when Zoro finally broke the kiss you couldnât move. Your whole body felt like jelly. His face hovered close to yours, eyes barely open, as if he couldnât decide whether or not to continue. He suddenly took a long step back, clearing his throat and touching his mouth with his fingers.
All members of the Strawhat crew were staring, mouths wide open. Zoroâs bottle of liquor was still spilling out from where he dropped it.Â
There was a beat, then the crew fell into disarray.  Â
Zoro ignored the ruckus happening next to him and struggled to look down at you. He shouldnât have done that. He finally mustered up the courage to look at you and noticed you were an alarming shade of red. If steam started coming out of your ears he wouldnât be surprised. Your mouth hung slightly open, lips slightly swollen from his rough kiss, he could tell you were struggling to register what had just happened. He froze as you looked up at him.Â
It was like he got punched in the gut. You were incredibly flustered, your eyes slightly watery, and your hair disheveled. His breath hitched. God, what did I just do?Â
He quickly looked away, struggling to maintain his composure. Trying to look anywhere besides you. Seeing you this flustered after a simple kiss was not going to help his current crisis. Suddenly a sob broke through the noise and Zoro turned to see who it was coming from.Â
Sanji was on the floor crying, looking straight at Zoro, âHow⌠HOW COULD YOU! YOU BEAST!âÂ
He jumped up, joined by all the other competitors for your first kiss. Chopper knocked down Zoroâs legs and he fell onto his stomach, Usopp jumped on his back and grabbed his hair, yanking it back and yelling back, âHow was that fair, you jerk!âÂ
Sanji took advantage of the fallen Zoro and got a few weak kicks in, still wiping the tears from his eyes. He canât even speak, heâs too furious, seeing Zoro kiss a woman was the nail on his mental coffin. Luffy canât stop laughing.Â
âTheyâre RIGHT Zo-Bro,â Franky says, twisting his arm to engage his weapons-left, âI never heard the lady give her permission.âÂ
âHey! Argh! Stop it! Whatâs the big deal? Itâs just a first kiss! Iâve never done that before either, itâs nothing!âÂ
There was a second pause while everyone took in this new information. Robin, unaware she was about to rub salt in wounds, spoke up, "So, youâre each other's first kiss?"Â
Zoro struggled against his crew and managed to look at you. The second you make eye contact neither of you could hold back the blush that made its way across your cheeks and up to your ears.Â
The crew bursts into hysterics once again.Â
Unable to withstand the attention and incapable of processing everything that just happened, you turned around and ran off into the womenâs bunks. Gotta cool my head, gotta cool my head, gotta cool my headâ What was that?!Â
The crew watched as you retreated, then got in a few more blows to berate and beat Zoro. After a while everyone felt satisfied that Zoro had been appropriately punished, and left him alone. But Zoro didnât move, he stayed facedown on the lawn of the Sunny, defeated. He was in time out, trying to think about his actions.Â
He heard Usopp goofing around with Luffy and Chopper, bragging about how he alone managed to defeat the feared pirate hunter Zoro. Sanji had also dragged himself away sniffling, leaving to make the crew some hot cocoa before bed per Chopperâs request. Finally the deck was silent once again.
Zoro finally sat up, looking down at his own hands, âShe didnât need to run off like that, itâs not a big deal.â He spoke out loud, still trying to convince his crew, but mostly himself.Â
Just then, Robin sprouted a hand from his back and slapped him on top of the head.Â
He looked up at Robin in disbelief, âNot your best move, Swordsman,â she said from a distance and walked away.Â
Itâs possible that Zoro does not do his best thinking when he is drunk.Â
ââââââââââââââââ

You didn't often get chance to come out here. You used to live much closer to the moors, but had to move into the city for work. You don't own a car, no point when there's trams and buses everywhere, so it's only when something brings you back to your hometown you get to revisit your old stomping grounds and reminisce on the past. You wished it had been on better terms, but the funeral was weeks ago now, and the old house you grew up in now sat empty, ready for the buyers to move in. You doubt you'll ever find the excuse to come here again now.
You shiver. From the brisk January winds, from the weight of memory.
There's a sound, you're not sure where from. More of a feeling than a noise, like a purring engine, heard from underwater.
Light. All around you, a perfect circle of blinding azure light. Your skin tingles and you notice dirt and pieces of grass floating up past you. Your hair looks as though you're in a swimming pool, floating beneath the surface, spreading out in a soft brown halo around your head. Your stomach flips and you're no longer in the moors. You're in a room, lit by that intense azure light. You screwed your eyes shut against the glare, you could still see the blue but it's less painful this way. There's a chittering sound around you, like marbles being shaken in a jar. The light cut out. You opened your eyes.
The room is still very blue, but lit much softer now. The bare walls and floor a dull silver. The chittering was still happening. You remembered something, that conspiracy nut at work always said if you think you're on an alien spaceship, you should stomp out some numbers. What were the numbers? You racked your brain. Two, three, five, seven, eleven? Whatever, it sounds like a plan.
You start stamping. You're not sure what doing maths at them will achieve, but they do seem to take notice. You finish stamping eleven times, and something taps back. Thirteen taps. You hesitate. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, what next? Again you tried to think back to conversations you earnestly tried to not have at the time. Seventeen. Still not sure why, you stamped seventeen times, carefully counting your steps. The chittering started again. Louder, more insistent. The. The door opened. Whatever it was that stepped out into the room was in some sort of bodysuit, it looked pretty heavy-duty, and whatever it was he was holding you didn't want to get on the bad side of it.
You allowed yourself to be shepherded to another room, the alien keeping you at a distance from itself.
It was a curious sight, it had six limbs you could see: two legs and four arms. It only came up to about your shoulder, at a guess, but had a pronounced slouch so you weren't sure if it would normally be that short or if you just had the jailor with terrible posture. It showed you to a bench and motioned towards it. You sat, assuming that's what "pointing at the knee-high table" means in their culture.
That, on reflection, was a mistake.
More of the azure light bathed you. You couldn't move a muscle, paralysed where you sat. The alien opened a cupboard hidden in the wall and pulled forth a long stick with a hoop on the end. Weightless and unable to resist, it was an easy job for it to lie you down and take a bladed implement to your clothing, stripping you naked with effortless cuts. Once it had satisfied itself that every stitch of fabric was removed and you were quite immobile, it removed its suit.
A huge beetle-like creature stood before you. Mandibles chittering that rattling language into a device stuck to its thorax.
It pulled more tools out from the wall. Smaller ones, less for herding at arms length. It stood over you and started prodding you, dictating notes at your reaction. At least, that's what you guessed it was doing, it might just make that noise.
The tests got steadily more invasive. Once it had satisfied itself poking you, it started pushing devices inside you, one went into your mouth, one in your ear, it opened your legs and pushed thin probes into your asshole and your pussy. Was it taking your temperature?
It withdrew the probes, and pushed a tube into your mouth. You could see something inky-black start to flow down from the ceiling into some clear piping running down near you. You couldn't look around to see what was happening precisely, but you could guess. Something bitter flowed over your tongue from the tube. You gulped it down on reflex. It stung going down, like drinking indigestion. You could feel your heart start to race and your cheeks redden. Your whole body felt like it was blushing. Your clit started to tingle and throb. Your pussy ached and clenched. Your breathing caught and your eyes rolled as you felt hornier than you ever have before.
The alien thrust pushed something up to your pussy, and you came immediately. You heard it scurry back as your abs clenched in time with your cunt and you felt a stream of fluid escape you. You've never squirted before, who would've guessed all it newded was a cocktail of alien drugs.
The orgasm died down, but the neediness remained. You didn't care about the whole abduction thing. If you could speak you'd be begging it to fuck you. You didn't need to beg. It pressed something against you again. Again your whole body bucked and clenched, but it wasn't deterred now it knew what to expect. Something round was pushed into you. It only went an inch or so in, but you could feel the shape of it. Curved upwards, the end nestled exactly on your g-spot. A chittered command. It started to buzz. You felt your back arch as an animalistic groaning wail escaped you. You were shaking again, being held in an orgasm for minutes before it dies down. You could still feel it buzzing, driving you to another. Tears welled in your eyes as your aching cunt clenched and leaked in protest.
The alien kept taking notes, repeating the same pattern of chittered speech when you climaxed again and again. The repeated orgasms were taking their toll. Your mouth was dry but for the drip of bitter drug, your legs were twitching and aching, your abs were on fire.
Then it pushed a needle into your arm.
You couldn't see it coming this time, but you felt something hot in your veins. Your skin felt as if it was on fire, then freezing. Your breasts started to ache. With every fresh orgasm you felt hot, then cold, then your tits would ache more, over and over.
Ten? Fifteen? You don't know how many times you came until it happened. You felt a stream of milk spray from your nipples. Spurting out of you, pulsing in time with the painful clenching waves.
The chittering was manic, as though the creature was possessed. Devices were secured to your tits, probes suckling the milk from you in gentle sips, the new sensations only serving to speed up the frequency with which you kept cumming.
You don't know how long ago that was, time is meaningless here.
You were moved to another facility, then more women joined you, then men started to appear too, hooked up to similar machines.
An alien had come to your bedside once doing its rounds of the inmates. It explained in broken English, they had bought Earth in a land deal, and most humans are now livestock for them. They don't believe in eating sentient beings, but humans produce edible byproducts, which can be extracted.
So here you are. A dairy cow for aliens.
Forever
