i'm literally so angry about konoha and how they differently treated sasuke and orochimaru. sasuke was right all the time, he had every right to avenge his clan and avenge his brother as well for being used as a tool to protect a village that always saw uchihas as scum but pretended it didn't. he was also right not be fond of sakura and despise her because she never ever tried to understand his feelings, his emotions (not that she would have been able to, since sasuke states only naruto can understand his heart - and sasuke naruto's). that kid never did anything wrong and i'm being absolutely serious in this. even naruto said so, when they met after danzo's death - naruto understood why sasuke was doing all that. and at the end? he marries the one who always saw him as a doll and nothing else, out of guilt? and he never gets his arm back? and he's put in freaking prison? for what? hating on a fascist system?

on the other hand we have orochimaru who is a villain, pure villain. they experimented on innocent people, even children, for their own sake and for the sake of danzo. they groomed traumatized children, even sasuke, for their own sake. like- they're a villain, ok? and they're free. they're... free. no prison. actually! they put yamato, one of the children they experimented on, to watch them???? hello??????? what is this????

i'm not even saying orochimaru should die or something, i'd be an hypocrate since i love them and they're my fav character. but at least, at very least something a little worse than sasuke, since they did much worse than him!

there's this freaking huge gap and i hate it. i hate how they treated sasuke at the end of naruto. what the fuck. and we are back on the main issue of it all: the entire shinoby system is fucked up. you can't have justice, you can't have fair treatment (despite all the problems of what fair treatment could be uh), you can't have a serious peace, you can't have anything good from a system that lives on such venomous seeds. the system must be destroyed for peace to truly come.

i never believed he was on the run - not when many times it was discovered, again and again, how many ties mafia has with the italian state and cops. i don't know why they arrested him now, but they for sure knew where he was and they probably needed him. italian state is too much corrupted to be believed in.

not to be my pessimistic and suspicious self but matteo messina denaro was "on the run" for 30 years in the same place he's always stayed in. same island. hasn't moved. and he just hit up the clinic like "hey i'm coming in for a treatment". a mafia boss. most wanted criminal in the country (allegedly). was he ever really in hiding? has something changed behind the scenes which made it okay to arrest him now? sorry to see the worst in these things but like. why would i ever trust the italian state on this lmfao

Okay okay i need to know ur take on Orochimaru's relationship with Tsunade (im akatsukitrash btw)

hello! i'm terribly sorry for the late reply, university was trying to killing me. but i'm here now yay!

about orochimaru and tsunade, apart from this post i made some time ago... i think they were closer than it's clearly shown in canon. we know the og orochimaru from the tale of the gallant jiraiya was in love with tsunade (but she wasn't), so it's not too absurd to think they could have feelings for her - the nature of those feelings? that's a bit tricky. orochimaru is very complex when it comes to feelings such as love because they are so twisted (and traumatized, may i add) that they can't love 'normally'.

having said this, we have orochimaru saying stuff like this one

or in the chapters before, orochimaru says "i know her better than she knows herself" - which isn't properly true because oro didn't expect her to react like that to them (protecting konoha or betraying them by trying to kill oro instead of curing them), but still - orochimaru was so sure to know her, that means they were close to her enough to say such a bold statement. and when tsunade was drinking with jiraiya after orochimaru's death, with a sad face and almost on the verge of crying? come on. she cares about them.

in the anime, we also see orochimaru watching tsunade's little brother die in front of their eyes, and they're there when tsunade fails to save dan and she is desperate. the look on orochimaru's face in both occasion doesn't show only horror and sadness for death itself, but i am sure they're also sad for tsunade and for their pain - i mean, they can understand her, you know? their parents died probably because of the war too. i remember also a scene in the anime, but not in the manga where tsunade, while she punches orochimaru during their fight, says something like "why does this feel so wrong?". if i remember correctly... that's a very interesting line.

in the filler episodes as well: we see the sannin on a mission, around a fire, as they talk about their dreams. when jiraiya jokingly say to orochimaru that they should open up a little, tsunade immediately defends orochimaru. again, i found that very interesting.

so, in conclusion, i think they both care for each other, especially orochimaru (as fucked up as they can be). but the sannin's dynamic is complex and we deserved to know more about them as a trio, and know about orotsu dynamic in particular.

i'm not that good with analysis as many other people in here, but this is my impression from what i could see! i have to dig in deeper, so i may come back here some time later! and thank you for the question!! <3
