Sort of Anti Az post in regards to Elain so I apologize ahead to my Pro Az people's!

Lucien has been struggling with his unfulfilled bond for nearly two years yet remains calm, collected and respectful to everyone in the IC.

Az got pissed over not having a bond with an Archeron from one Solstice to the next so he threw a big 'ole temper tantrum and acted like a hothead around Rhys.

Only one is acting worthy when it comes to his behavior about Elain.

I think this is commonly overlooked by the fandom.

No matter how much the Decepticons go on about how their cause is a fight for equality, it’s never 100% true.

Much of the fandom seems to put the Decepticon Cause on a pedestal, assuming it was originally built on a primarily selfless, egalitarian ideological ideal.

However, I don’t think that’s true at all.

And guess what? That’s okay. A cause doesn’t have to be established on a perfect ideology to be a good cause, and to expect such a thing is unrealistic.

Having thoughts about Blue Eye Samurai and desire, like this whole entire show is about wanting. Desire is presented as a means of self-awareness and self-knowledge. Who you are is someone who wants, and turning away from your secret lusts is an act of self-deception. It's turning away from your *self* and therefore putting you at war with yourself.

But we also see desire as a tool. Your desires wielded against you, your desires the means by which others can access and gain power, your wanting opening you up to be used by the object of your want. Knowing your desires means someone knows you in ways they can use, if your desires are overpowering enough to make you so singularly focused on them.

And yet muddled desires or misdirected wanting opens one up to aimlessness, to time and effort wasted, to being a piece in the game rather than a player.

Desire is a clarifying, motivating purpose. Recognizing your true desire gives you direction and momentum and moves you from passive reactivity to action, to agency. Singular, overwhelming, crystalline desire for revenge powers Mizu through every challenge. It is the source of Mizu's strength and when it is known it is what allows Mizu's enemies to set traps, to counterplan, to escape when otherwise they'd be caught.

Feel desire. Feel it strongly and deeply and powerfully and with overwhelming force. Feel your desire in every step and breath and moment, until it's all you are, and never show it until you absolutely have to, until you can't hold it back anymore and it explodes out of you.

This show is insane.

There might be an opposite “order” power in contrast to Nines. If Pandora’s box is literal, MK is “hope” there’s a lot of other symbolism fandom likes the stereotypically portray into their ShadowPeach lol. But they have day/night too. Nobody has to think too hard to take inspo, and most shows don’t in my experience. Shout out to Ninjago and ATLA just mixing culture and language in a way that annoys people and placing it under one umbrella.

well i mean, lmk is already playing with the themes of order and chaos. except there Order was on the side of the antagonists while MK was Chaos (being the harbinger and all). we saw it with LBD and Azure and now with Nines

also, lmk’s order can be seen when it talks about Fate and Destiny and even the “story”, but in a way where they are shown as being too fixed and bureaucratic compared to the lessons being taught to MK and by MK which are “your fate (order) is your own and can only be determined by you.”

we had it with MK telling LBD “do you really think the universe cares about any of us?”

we had it when Macky told MK “if you tread the paths already carved for you, then you doom yourself into a self-fulfilling prophecy”

we have it even more explicitly in s5 from Wukong: “sometimes you need to carve your own path and fuck all the rest”

lmk is all about finding that balance between the chaos of your mind and the forced order of the world around you. our own daily ying and yang that we must balance, and that is why i don't place those themes with shadowpeach just because it takes away from the crux of the show where it’s original focus is on MK and how he changes and grow throughout the seasons

tbh i think their day/night themes with ying/yang are significantly minor. the major focus with them is the themes of betrayal and reconciliation and past haunts

a. Im scared to talk to any of my mutuals about this au

b. People who I CAN talk to about it have different time zones and interests

c. Theres nobody else I can talk to about it

Oh lord i love this au with all my heart for both general and personal reasons I just really love this au and everything about it

anyway after reading that piece... i really do believe that when cc says she wants her legacy to be her impact on young kids and the joy they’ve brought to people... she means that shit. once you get to where she is... with all the trophies she’s held and praises she’s received... you want more and more until you start asking yourself why you want it in the first place. and your reasons just start to sound so hollow. she also mentioned banners gathering dust and time eventually dulling all the achievements. one thing time doesn’t dull and actually sweetens is the good memories and emotions of the past. you can hold on to that being your legacy. it gives you a real reason that can’t be tarnished by debates and the faulty memories of people who’ll replace you with someone new as soon as your time is up.
