I'm actually someone who came back to wnba bc I was curious abt "that cc girl everyone is talking abt" (I'm not from the us so I'm not really into wcbb), I used to watch wnba until cca 2020. Anyways, I decided I really like cc and fever as a whole and I enjoy watching some other wnba teams. I knew there was a kind of a rivalry with pb, but she seemed cool so I didn't mind her at all (when I watched wnba before she was the next big thing).

Anyways, all the narratives about pb's moral superiority piss me off (still nothing against her) and the shit cc has had to put up with from so many sides (including pb's fans) really bother me.

I'm not a cc stan and maybe it's just my internet bubble, but it looks to me like pb's given much more grace when it comes to everything in this league. Maybe that's why I reacted to the "kitron play on a much better team" narrative bc it definitely wasn't what was bejng said until the 2 of them started playing well

She should have never gone through what she did last year and apart from the actual perpetrators, the biggest people at fault are Erin Kane and the Fever organization. How neither of them did anything to protect her from that onslaught is baffling. You draft the biggest star in the history of the sport and you don't proactively think that there will be untold scrutiny, jealousy and attention that you should probably have a pr department completely dedicated to dealing with? That's if you want that star to actually succeed at your franchise and to make the most of them being there. Instead she was left to drown by them and her own agency, thanks Erin!

I thought it was just me but this team is going to suck the life out of her, fo struck out bad, coach white does not know how to coach Caitlin without trying to mold her into something she’s not. She also hasn’t knowledge that this is her team and that they’re running through her. Teammates atp are selling, how do you do a complete 180 when she comes on the court? All lives matter ball but y’all don’t even pass to your best player??? Can’t even play her off ball when she knows she ain’t getting that ball back.

She’s always doing the heavy lifting yet the team can’t do the same for her, sue bird even said on her podcast how Caitlin has to create her own shots because her teammates don’t do that for her and it’s harder because of the defense she faces and also facilitating to them!!! and coach white can sweet talk in the presses all she wants but whatever she’s saying isn’t showing on the court.

Caitlin has had to deal with 3 injuries on the same leg, the constant pressure to play through it, being the team’s cheerleader and emotional support while also having to manage her body language.

No one has defended her or shown her support when she was at her lowest, and even disregard her as a team for all lives matter shit.

Fever slogan the beginning of the season was “not just the cait show” who tf says that about their star player 😩. Imagine the warriors saying that about Steph or lakers with LeBron. Be fucking serious.

I’m a cc fan before fever fan and this team will suck the life out of her, they’re going to eventually make the payoffs and be a first round exit and all the fans will dump on Caitlin, and we’ll have another shit show next year.
