GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- Southern Californian 2D-animated YouTuber named 'Ms. Jaiden Kiyomi Dittfach' wins the 'MrBeast' YouTube Challenge outlasting 4 YouTubers as contestants, who were participated in an online-only reality game show at a disclosed television-like studio in North Carolina, United States of America (U.S.A.) after eliminating 50 of the biggest social media & video influencers and personality individuals including ValkyRae (Rachell Marie Hofstetter), Odd1sOut (Robert James Rallison), Kai Carlo Cenat III, Logan Alexander Paul, KSI (Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji), Nick Channing DiGiovanni, The Game Theorists (Matthew Robert Patrick [MatPat]), MoistCr1TiKaL (Charles Christopher White Jr.), LilyPichu (Lily Ki) and Pokimane (Imane Anys).

For context between those individuals aside all of that… Mr. James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, better known by his online alias 'MrBeast' is a 26 y/o North Carolinian-based YouTuber, online personality, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the now - online game show host & executive producer of himself. Mr. Donaldson started as a YouTuber alone in the late mid-February 2012 when he was just 13 y/o old and intially went by the former channel username 'MrBeast6000'. His early content included Let's Plays and older videos estimating the wealth of other YouTubers.

Fast forward to January 2017, he went viral with his "counting to 100k" video, gaining tens of thousands of views in a few days. But today, due to increased demand of popularity, Donaldson's content evolved to feature elaborate challenges, large giveaways and high-production value. Several sponsors and partnerships endorsed related to him in product placements and virtual goodies online. In the early Q1 2024, his own studio in North Carolina was now completed. The rest remains history within the present day.

While Ms. Dittfach on the other hand, better known online as 'JaidenAnimations' in Los Angeles, California; who was an independent 2D-animator, VTuber, gaming YouTuber and the 6-time Streamy Awards nominee, famously known for her engaging story-time animations that cover a variety of topics, from personal experiences to general anecdotes.

Dittfach primarily creates videos centered around video game stories like Pokémon (Pocket Monsters) and even the now previously declared - Virtual YouTuber (VTuber) during a Sub-a-thon broadcast debut in December 2022. Her main animation channel has over 12 million subscribers, while their gaming channel including her VTuber debut surpassed 1 million subscribers. Lastly on their official Twitch gaming and LIVE reaction channel received 965,000 followers at the time of this writing scoop. She only won previously an award in the Animated category of the 2020 Streamy Awards.

Now, 50 of the biggest YouTube creators were confined in a cube, battling various challenges from the start in his own studio as pre-recorded during the process in the making and filming new online video and later released on Saturday (July 13th, 2024 at 12nn -- Eastern local time). The task, simple on paper, demanded mental and physical endurance as in-person contestants navigated eliminations through basketball shots, a Squid Game-inspired sugar cookie challenge, and a high-stakes Jenga competition. Think about as a qualifying-like rounds and later advanced in the semi-finals.

17 YouTuber contestants in the 3rd challenge of Jenga were eliminated, while 7 of them in the 4th challenge of 'Steal or No Steal' are also eliminated with guest Canadian host of "Deal or No Deal" and "America's Got Talent" named Mr. Howie Michael Mandel. Leaving only the last 5 in the grand finals unveiling the MrBeast YouTube millionaire, which may either subjected to tax or tax-free in some states of America per contestant individual.

At the grand finals, as part of the last 6th challenge… Amixem's Mr. Maxime Chabroud, Ms. Dittfach, Ms. Alexandra Valeria Botez, Mr. Ludwig Anders Ahgren and Mr. DiGiovanni battled for a jackpot prize inside one of 5 briefcases, moderated by MrBeast himself.

In the first round with the unofficially tied majority vote of 2 points goes both to Dittfach and Ludwig. Taxes will be immediately shouldered by MrBeast and received her Diamond Creator Award since 'JaidenAnimations' reached late above the 10 million subscribers mark in June 2021.

ABS-CBN: Bantay Bigas says imports won't prevent rice price hike

Rice watch group Bantay Bigas said on Friday more imports will not temper rice price hike.

In an interview with Teleradyo Serbisyo, Cathy Estavillo said this is because international market prices continue to soar.

She added that a more permanent solution is to ramp up support for local rice farmers.

The Department of Agriculture said this is because the country is in the lean months and harvest isn't expected until March.

But the production this dry cropping season, though historically higher than the wet season, is threatened by El Nino.

Super Radyo DZBB 594AM revamped its programming lineup since Monday, June 3. On the weekdays slot, Melo Del Prado sa Super Radyo extends airing from the 5:30am pre-Dobol B Sa News TV slot to a 1-hour simulcast edition at 6am, making it 90 minutes of his program. Presinto 594, hosted by Manny Vargas, and Mark Macalalad now airs on Saturdays at 7-8pm and Sundays 6:30-8pm (right after 24 Oras Weekend). On Sundays, Orly Trinidad will begin with Buena Manong Balita at 6am, taking over the last hour of Fernan Gulapa’s Sunday Gwapo now only airs from 4-6am. GMA News TV has successfully moved to Channel 27 with no test broadcasts or shutdown notice, but after midnight of June 5, GNTV’s former home formally abandoned its transmission on Channel 11, though it underwent a 3-day low powered test broadcast from June 1-3 lowering its transmission power from 100KW to 30KW (a Ultra High Frequency TV Station must limit transmission up to a maximum of 50kw for analog TV) before the move. GNTV broadcasts nationwide on 30 relay stations being DWDB TV 27 as the sole origin station. Dobol B Sa News TV extends broadcast hours for 1 more hour and airing days up to weekends, making this simulcast broadened to a daily 6am-12pm timeslot right before GMA News’ longest-running midday newscast Balitanghali.

Aside from the termination of GMA Network and ZOE Broadcasting Network’s blocktime agreement, which most of its programs are no longer aired on GMA-7, GNTV, and international channels GMA PinoyTV and GMA LifeTV. ZBNI’s own programming are now exclusively aired on their own Light TV God’s Channel of Blessings on DTV-33 Manila and Free TV 33 Palawan.

Prior to its move, some weekend programs of GNTV as well as 2 of its weekday newscasts bid goodbye from May 25-May 31st. Day-Off, bid goodbye after 13 years from its debut on QTV on November 12, 2005 hosted by Pekto and Carmina Villaroel and changed its hosts over the years. While Wagas, a weekly drama anthology on love stories cancelled its entire 6-year run, but it will move eventually to GMA-7 by August as a daily series.

DAVAO DE ORO, April 13 (PIA) - With most of the local shops closed, the provincial government of Davao de Oro established a Facebook-based marketplace dubbed as ‘Online Palengke’, where business enterprises can continue their services, and where the residents can buy their daily needs.

During the project launching at the Serbisyo Oro Mismo Teleradyo, Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy stressed that this innovation can stir up the local economy even if the province is under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Kini is to spur economic activity jud and to provide platform para sa atoang mga micro, small and medium enterprises na maka-negosyo gihapon despite sa atong situation ron na gina-experience tungod sa COVID-19,” Governor Uy said. (This is really to spur economic activity and to provide platform for our micro, small and medium enterprises to continue doing business despite the current situation we are experiencing due to COVID-19).

Governor Uy encouraged the residents to join the Online Palengke group in their municipality via Facebook group.

“Dili lang ta mabored sa atong mga balay. At least maka income-income ta, labi natong adunay mga backyard farm na makabaligya sa atong Online Palengke.” (We should not be bored at our own houses. We can at least make income (through this platform), especially those who have backyard farms that can sell (their produce) at the Online Palengke.)

The governor disclosed that all the municipalities in the province have their own Online Palengke, managed by the respective local government units.

“Nag-meeting man ta atong niaging adlaw kauban atong mga mayor, ug niuyon sila na maghimo aning Online Palengke,” he said. (We meet (online) with our mayors the other day, and they agreed to establish the ‘Online Palengke.)

Governor Uy also emphasized that the Online Palengke will promote innovations, better products, and reasonable prices because of healthy business competition.

“Ang akoa ani, aside sa matabangan nato ang atong mga micro, small and medium enterprises, makakita pud ta ug mga maayong mga produkto gikan sa atong probinsiya” (For me, aside from helping our micro, small and medium enterprises, we can also look at better products manufactured in the province.)

He also reminded the administrators of the group and the public to be guided by the suggested retail prices set by the Local Price Coordinating Council in this time of the pandemic.

According to Republic Act 7581, all prices of basic necessities are frozen under the state of calamity or emergency.

Agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Energy (DOE), have already posted the suggested retail prices of the commodities under the respective offices’ jurisdiction.

The chief executive also bared that the DTI has advised that the Online Palengke will not require business permits as of this time of crisis.

“Ang sulti sa DTI sa akoa na karon nga anaa pa ta sa State of Public Health Emergency, gihatagan pa ug lee-way kung wala pay business permit ang mamaligya. Apan paghuman niini, kinahanglan na jud ta magrehistro sa atong negosyo.” (The DTI told me that in this time of the State of Public Health Emergency, we will give lee-way to entrepreneurs who do not have business permits to do business. But after this, we will require them to register their businesses.)

The governor also added that he is thinking of establishing a province-wide Online Palengke soon.

Aside from the Online Palengke, the provincial government of Davao de Oro will be launching soon a mobile marketplace named as the Palengke Bound to Barangays (PBB).

“Ang tumong nato ani, aron maabot sa atong mga lagyo na barangay, especially sa mga IP area nato, ang mga basic na palaliton para sa ilang pang adlaw-adlaw nga panginabuhi sama sa preskong isda, karne, mantika ug uban pa,” he said. (Our purpose is for the farflung barangays, especially those in the IP area, to have access to buy basic necessities for their daily living like fish, meat, cooking oil and others.)

Governor Uy bared that the PBB is being piloted in Maco, in partnership with Barangay Poblacion and the Poblacion Market Vendors Association.

He said that the members of the association have their own schedule and will visit as a group to three or four barangays a day.

“Lisod naman gud ang mode of transportation nato sa panahon sa ECQ, so gipaduol na nato atong mga serbisyo pareho aning Online ug Mobile Palengke sa atong mga katawhan.” (Mode of transportation is difficult nowadays in this time of the ECQ, so we bring our services like the Online ug Mobile Palengke closer to the people.) This arrival of the 19 y/o Ohio state native, straight from the United States of America (U.S.A.), created frenzy among his Filipino fanbase, which led to huge masses of crowds and traffic jams across Metro Manila.

Indeed, his Philippine adventure started off with a bang. He played at a local basketball court in 'Brgy. 39, Zone 3, District 1' in 'Tondo, Metro Manila, National Capital Region'. The place was thronged with fans as the eagerness got the better of everyone to get a glimpse of the male YouTube star. It set the tone for a day that became truly frenzy-filled and filled with fervor.

Before going to the heart of the city, IShowSpeed made a quick detour to a local Chowking branch on Bustos Street, Sta. Cruz, this said city and province. The fast-food stop served as an emergency impromptu meet-and-greet location, where he was sat and hydrate himself in plain cold water, as eager fans were gathered outside to catch a glimpse of their online male YouTuber idol. He followed up his interest in Filipino culture by riding on top of a Kalesa, a horse-drawn transportation contraption, waving a Philippine flag to the delight of all that watched, helping spur his growing entourage on in excitement.

'Windy Cresencio', one of the residents of this said area, and a local self-employed resident, who attemptingly send the money to his father would be using to buy tickets back to 'Surigao City, Surigao del Norte'. Because of a numerical mistake from yesterday afternoon, the money had gone temporarily to Freelance Online Media Reporter and News Presenter of OneNETnews named 'Rhayniel Saldasal Calimpong', in lieu of the intended recipient: "Mamalihug ko balik send sa kwarta nga gi-send sa akong papa thru GCash, kay nasayop sya sa numero para lukat to nato ug tiket sa byaheng pagpa-uli to 'Surigao'. Namatay po ang akong uncle (uyoan) kay wala gyud koy laing kwarta. Maluoy ka sir, bisag PHP5,000 nalay (U$D85). Importante kining makalukat kog tiket ron, kay dili ko kaabot sa lubong ugma", Cresencio said in a text message to OneNETnews. Most of the time, it was mixed up at our telco partners at 'DITO Telecommunity', with the correct one ending in '4055' being confused with our '6055', which available for us to donate here in Dumaguete City under ONC Foundation.

That night, our news team at OneNETnews attempted to address the matter by checking their GCash balance, but was encountered an unusual One-Time Pin (OTP) login error at around 5:40pm on Tuesday early evening. ABS-CBN: NAIA terminal fee hike possible with privatization: DOTr

The terminal fee at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) may increase following the privatization of its operations. Other fees may also rise such as aeronautical fees and rental fees, which in turn may lead to a hike in airfares.

In an interview on Teleradyo Serbisyo, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista admitted that the San Miguel-led consortium which won the bid to operate NAIA may raise the terminal fee. But he clarified that the consortium must first improve the airport.

Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Eric Ines has earlier mentioned that the agency also expects hikes in various charges at the airport. He said that many of the charges have remained unchanged for over two decades now.

P50 jeep fare is possible, says group

Jeepney fares may reach P50 if traditional jeeps are to be replaced by the modern ones being promoted by the government, according to a group of commuters.

According to Commuters of the Philippines chairperson Julius Dalay, the PUV Modernization Program will have massive consequences on transportation fares, especially because of the amortization required to buy the modern jeeps.*

"It's not unlikely that fares will reach P50, and obviously, if they do, it will put a strain on us. What's the difference between this, the bus, or LRT or MRT? They're all raising their fares. It hurts our pockets, especially the jeeps since the masses expect them to be cheap," he said in an interview on TeleRadyo Serbisyo.

"No one is opposing the modernization or changing of the vehicles themselves. We just want to bring into question the program's timing and phasing."

Dalay adds that many employees may shift careers if a steep jeep fare hike takes place.

They may opt to just use bicycles or look for jobs that allow WFH setups.

The government initially ignored the call of some transport groups to postpone the franchise consolidation deadline of Dec. 31, 2023.

Jeepneys, including unconsolidated ones, continue to ply even after the deadline has passed.**

**Unconsolidated PUVs are allowed to operate until Jan. 31, 2024, but are not allowed to join corporations/cooperatives anymore. I haven't heard anything on how the program will be enforced afterwards.
