why succession is different for mc's house and can mc change that law and make it like other noble house( Male-Preference Primogeniture)where male heirs come first when he becames Emperor?

Well it's different because the Dracarions are not many, preferring blood over gender, and their "curse" of dying, so they must always have "spares", though in this case succession has always been interpreted differently and most times subject to the ruler's choice.

But sure when your MC becomes emperor can change it

What is the succession law of the eight kingdoms? Male-Preference Primogeniture, Absolute Cognatic Primogeniture, Proximity of Blood or something else?

In the Eight Kingdoms, the succession law is Male-Preference Primogeniture. This means that the eldest legitimate son of a Duke/Count/Baron inherits the title and lands, with daughters inheriting only if there are no eligible sons. The law prioritizes male heirs over female heirs, ensuring a direct line of male descent.

But it's entirely different for the royal house, It is a form of equal primogeniture. Disregarding gender distinctions in favour of the firstborn child ascending to the throne, regardless of sex. A King/Queen is followed by the firstborn of his/her children, regardless of their sex.

Bastards do not inherit at all. However, if a bastard is legitimized they stand to inherit after all trueborn children, including daughters and younger siblings. It mostly depends on the singular case. Only a King can legitimize a bastard.

Yet, lords and kings can pass over an elder child to name a younger one as heir.
