You were at the stove flipping pancakes and Harry was reading the newspaper at the table. Your son trailed downstairs with a skip in his step as he took a seat across from Harry. Earvin was tapping his fingers on the table lightly, much to the annoyance of his father who huffed for him to stop. But as Harry looked on, he couldn't help but glance at the dark colored drawing on his corner of his son's wrist.

With eyes almost bulging out of his head, Harry was quick to bring attention to his perturbed skepticalness. "Earvin, what's that on your wrist?" The boy gulped hard and proceed to yank his wrist to his face where he gave a hidden glance and answered back with hope that it would bring his father off his goat.

"Nothing, just some marker smudges from when I was drawing." But Harry didn't buy it. "Lemme see." Just then, you had brought in the pancakes that you spent a grueling ten minutes making with a sweat induced forehead from the limited air flow because of the hot steam from the kitchen.

"Alright breakfast is served." You said taking a seat after taking off your cooking apron and draping in back of your seat. "Yn, look at Earvin's wrist, isn't that what I think it is?" Before your son could react, you gently grabbed his wrist and scanned it observantly until you found it. The tattoo.

"Earvin Styles! You have a tattoo?!" "Yes, but it's just a small one!" He said defensively. "It doesn't matter how small it is, it's still a tattoo! And you're getting it off!"

"No I'm not! I think It's cool and I wanna keep it!" He answered back. "Don't speak to your father that way. And when did you even get it?"

Earvin sighed. "My friend Theo's brother gave it to me. A couple nights ago. I was eventually gonna tell you...I just didn't want it to happen this way. I'm sorry."

You exchanged looks with your husband who had eventually calmed down. Harry got up and pulled up his sleeve that revealed a mermaid tattoo. "I got it when I was in college and I regretted it ever since. it was dumb mistake and I just don't want you to make the same mistake I did. I'm sorry I yelled at you."

Earvin looked on with slight amazement and shock. His dad? The clean cut guy that always wore his hair in slicked back 50's hairdo?

It was surreal for him. "I didn't know, I'm sorry for yelling at you too dad. I'll get it off-"

"Normally I wouldn't agree to this but...." Harry interrupted waving him off. "But I think I'll let it slide this time." Earvin's face grew ecstatic as he felt free to make a grown up decision. "But promise me you won't get any more." Earvin held up his pinky and joined it in with Harry's. "Promise."

So the ways that different animals communicate varies vastly between them. For example, rats hear things on a spectrum slightly above human hearing, and there are recent studies touching on how with special microphones, scientists have discovered that rats squeak a lot to one another in high pitches to communicate between them like their own little secret language! While there are significantly less studies on turtle behavior the same can be said for them, as baby turtles will make low noises that signal when the others of their nest are hatching, and in general they hear much lower frequencies on account of their scale covered eardrums and need for underwater listening.

So with that, how do the animal traits of Splinter and his kids line up?

They probably have a base hearing range similar to a humans, but the turtles can probably hear and speak lower sounds than Splinter and vice versa. What shenanigans could they get up to?

Back again with Danny being adopted by other batfam members.

But this time I thought of the absolute comedy of Damian, tiny squirt and five apples tall, deciding that he is now a father to a grown ass teenage Danny.

It was an accident and had never been his intention to adopt another being.

But it had been placed into Damian’s head that in order to be a potential Batman he had to have his own Robin. And the only way to have his own Robin was to have a child, similar to the way that Father would pick up the various children and teenagers amongst them.

Damain had a very specific list of requirements for his potential child-Robin. Danny did not meet any of those requirements, and yet here Damian was having forged papers for the now Daniel Al Ghul-Wayne, and beginning the treacherous affair of introducing his son to the family.

Danny twisted his new shirt sleeve with a frown. It was a nice green silk that complimented the little green that resided in his son’s eyes. Damian wished to bring out the many carefully crafted features of Danny that could match to Damian. Having his eyes pop, wild hair brushed and losing the battle to nervous hands, would have to do.

At least until Damian taught Danny his mother tongue and began the care of his culture and soon to be heritage.

I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.

He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.

Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.

In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.

Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.

Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?

Harry's son runs away from home:

Abel felt trapped. No support from home, no support from anywhere. Well, he wasn't completely without support. Yn and Harry did show Abel love but he felt it was bittersweet and hollow seeing how he felt hemmed in with rules. Life seemed to pass him by he thought as he thought about the freedom he was missing out on. Mom and dad are too overprotective he thought and he thought yn and Harry were unreasonable as well.

They built this protective wall, that covered him not allowing growth or so he felt. Abel well understood that parents make mistakes, but they seemed so laxed in dealing with other teenagers yet when it came to him, they just wouldn't let go. In fact they held on tighter. What made it worse was his little brother Aden. He got everything he wanted and that only frustrated Abel even more. He concluded that Yn and Harry had learned from their past mistakes and that they didn't wanna repeat those on Aden. And Abel wouldn't have mind if it were just a couple, not everything.

To him mom and dad didn't seem that experienced in matters when dealing with him. Abel begin to hate coming home. With all the restrictions in place for him but not Aden, it made him feel more isolated from his family. One particular frustrating night was when Harry rebuked Abel in front of everyone over what he thought was Abel being ungrateful.

Abel being close to tears, chocked then back despite not being able to look his father in the eyes from humiliation. That was it. Abel was up from the table and went straight to his room. It was that night he decided that a change needed to happen for himself. No longer would he be a doormat for his parents bitter mistakes.

So with a flamboyant attitude, he packed his bags with clothes, money, his phone and his heart in his hand and walked out into the night. He left nothing more than his bed with a indignant note taped to the covers. Abel called a cab and was able to hitch a ride to a motel where he checked in for the night. Abel felt he had it all in the bag, he was nearly 20 so it was easy for him to get what he wanted.

By morning, Abel had checked out and went on to a whole another city.

Harry and Yn tried endlessly to get in contact with him and reported him missing to the police. But Abel had not turned back. He was determined not to go back home. No one loved him the way he needed to be loved. Nights, days, weeks and soon a month, but no Abel. Harry and Yn had gone insane with worry, not really giving Aden the support he needed. If you had told Abel about it, he would have no doubt felt guilty for depriving Aden of his innocent attention.

It had finally been reported that Abel was identified and found but would not be returning home. His family was devastated and begged that police do something, but with very narrow results.

Aden had settled in a completely different country with a job and apartment. A little extreme to say the least, but Abel felt his justified anger was motivation enough to finally find peace for himself.

Soon Aden had finally regained the attention from his parents but at a comprehensible price. They were protective to an extreme for a while, but mellowed out within time. Abel's disappearance took a toll on the entire family all the way up until Aden left for college.

Abel was still estranged from his family with the point of no return.

It left Yn and Harry to wonder, "what could I have done?"
