Our Summer (person) hasn't been doing the most exciting things lately: she only has to max her writing skill and that's it. So let's catch up with the kiddos, then!

The babies are baby'ing around, and Theodore has a brand new girlfriend now! Are we surprised? No, we actually aren't. But it's all coming together for the moment he gets to become the heir!

Hello! I'm that anon who once asked you about the lots you use in your gameplay and whether you built them all. I'm so impressed that you create most of them yourself! But ever since you replied to that question, I've been trying to envision a lot for one of my upcoming gameplays, but I'm struggling to fully see it in my mind, so I was wondering if you'd mind giving some tips on your process of building your lots. Building is my weakest skill in the game, but I want to give it a try!

hello again anon!! i'm very flattered u think it's impressive 🥺 i truly love creating spaces for these guys! i'll try my best to kinda go into my process but be warned.. like anything else i do it's pretty much just chaos/winging it dkjsdkj (it'd be much easier if i used floorplans or smth simple so i could be like, here do this! but alas...)

okay i'm prolly gonna ramble a lot here but i mostly base my builds off random visions/future scenes that pop into my head or straight up vibes.. which isn't very helpful ik but hopefully if i explain it'll make a bit more sense!

so with Oscar's house above i knew i wanted it to be BIG, but i didn't want it to feel like a mansion they couldn't afford so i added some other houses on the lot and just gave em the biggest plot! i also knew i wanted it to be symmetrical, but only from the outside cos i wanted it to feel slightly chaotic on the inside, also hence the random tower addition on the left and the sunroom on the right.. like it used to be a big grand symmetrical "mansion" (prolly at the time it was built) but over the years kinda ended up as a convoluted mess left to rot until someone rescued it (yay for Oscar's impulsivity 🤸‍♀️) AND IT NEEDED AN ATTIC!! u kno cos where else would Clementine live?? 👻

so really i had no inspo pics or house plan layouts to go off here, just a vibe and an idea, i started with a rough shape and worked out all the kinks from there, then added the other lots.. be prepared to hate your wip and start over tho cos ig it's all part of the fun!

here we have an actual wip to use as an example! so with this one i basically knew i wanted a wrap around style house around a "courtyard" but since mt. komo is shit and doesn't have any decent sized lots we'll have to go with an L-shaped design and a third floor ig 😩 i started with the ground floor and just pissed around with the others until i ended up with smth just right, like anything else i do, building is just ruminating on an idea until i'm like.. yeah that works sdkjskj.. also handy to place the bare minimum furniture items as u go to get a feel of how the space does or doesn't work so u can fix it n stuff!

also feel free to make shit look strange if it works, for example these window placements look weird as hell on the outside, but real life houses aren't always symmetrical or perfect on the outside and we spend most of our time on the inside where the windows make perfect sense so.. yeah! i'm big on views from the INSIDE of the house so i just make stuff work, also big fan of using ivy/wall decs n stuff to "fix" the way it might look on the outside if needs be too..

the school i made for Robin n' co. was entirely built around this pool (cos it's IMPORTANT) and the fact that it had to have a glass roof (it just HAD to ok idk why but we must kneel to the vision when it strikes 🧎‍♀️) i tried to make the rest of it make sense around it tho, like maybe it was added on afterward so the rest is a pretty standard shape with offices n shit near the entrances etc.. ALSO (wait i actually need to explain smth else before we get to this also BUT BEAR WITH ME!)

ask yourself some questions (if u want? or just dl a house idk dskjdk)

i treat building similarly to writing and that means asking yourself some questions.. like you might ask why a character is doing/saying something, what happened in the past to make them this way? what're they aiming for in the future to choose these paths etc etc.. WELL.. what's this building for, who is it for, who chose to live here, who got stuck here, why do they like it, why do they hate it, etc etc.

we either get stuck somewhere we hate and it doesn't suit us, or we're lucky enough to choose somewhere that we love, but why? Oscar's house is sprawling and chaotic because they kinda are, and it suits them! all the random cupboards leading nowhere and the quirky additions are just perfect for them, if they were real people looking for a real house they'd view it and LOVE it, but other characters definitely would NOT 😅 the wip is neat and practical cos the people who're gonna live there are! 👀 and the school (see we got to that ALSO eventually) has that huge "grand" courtyard at the front that's actually pretty useless because it's a shitty comprehensive school that wants to give the image that it's decent, but actually it's a bit shit and there's nothing going on in the back, nowhere for the kids to play outside and very limited resources/equipment for them either.. like everything is built the way it is for a reason, which is why i think i find it so impossible to use other ppls builds, cos they don't fit all these visions in my mind...

ok i'm gonna shut up now but i HOPE this rambling mess somewhat explains how i go about starting a build and why.. i'm not sure i can help with the vision part since your brain is your own but floorplan websites and things like pinterest or even just google images are great for giving you ideas if you're struggling!

I’ve been thinking a lot about this so I’m gonna share my thoughts.

While Jason and Max weren’t “enemies” and Max didn’t actually kill Jason, they still disliked each other. The fight in the coffee shop proves that. Now, I don’t go into coffee shops too much, but if someone bumped into me I don’t start getting hostile with them? So with that being said, why would Jason be mad at Max? Jason knew what Max had done to Becca, but would he care so much to threaten Max? And to add into that, Jason also assaulted many women, so that being said I didn’t really think that Jason would care about that. And he didn’t really care about his family anyway. BUT! Then I thought about it more.

When Jason kidnapped Pip, he told her he went after women he thought were “too loud” and how he had to make sure his family wasn’t loud and that they listened to him. He even told Pip that he killed Barney because he thought Becca got a dog without his permission WHEN THEY WERENT EVEN LIVING TOGETHER! So it’s obvious he’s a complete control freak. Here’s my working theory: Jason hated Max not entirely because of what he did to Becca, but because Jason lost control over Becca when Max drugged her.

This makes sense to me but I’m not sure if it will to anyone else?

Okay but a little parallel between Trent and Rebecca that really makes me go insane(pos) is their confessions to Ted.

They are the only two(I believe) people that had a secret against Ted and told him.

Ie: Rebecca's reason of hiring Ted and Trent's article about his panic attacks.

The only differences is that Rebecca explicitly apologized to him, whereas Trent used his confession as his apology. The fact that he exposed his source is the apology.

Then there's the fact that Trent quit/got fired because of/for Ted is ugh.

Just a funny coincidence that's all.

so here’s the thing---i didn’t even really SHIP THEM - but this season, you know, they’ve (the actors/jason) been talking about soulmates. how they’ve set up ted and rebecca since season 1. that scene with the chariot (after ted’s first panic attack during karaoke). 

so i was like, ok, i will get on this tedbecca train. i see all the callbacks. i see the connection. granted - i thought they were platonic soulmates more than anything else. but then --but then!!! that final episode!! Rebecca gave this emotional, moving, beautiful fucking speech. “if you go, i go.” “please stay.” and it WRECKED ME.

and i thought - oh the episode has so much time left - Ted is going to take her up on her offer. he’s going to move Henry to London. He’s going to stay. and then.......he doesn’t. 

and i have to wonder -- was it because of the reshoots/rewrites that happened? (source) Like was this always the end for Ted? I know it was important for him to return to his son, but I’m  honestly just feeling so lukewarm about this aspect of the finale. They did SO MUCH BUILD UP. They even had the rom-com leave-cute. She got a ticket to say goodbye to him!!! And then they were like :) “no.”

spilling my tedbecca thoughts before 3x12

despite having barely any interaction this season, every single interaction has been SIGNIFICANT. here is a list of thoughts why tedbecca just has to happen for my own sanity…

we’ve had so many moments their other exes (john, rupert, sam, sassy, michelle) - specifically to show how they're "wrong" choices & IMO none of these moments are foundation enough to “get back together"

dutch man may be the only threat seeing as he has a daughter, but he’s basically dutch ted - caring, sweet & loves kenny rogers. she also didn't realise he was a nice guy at first… she literally FELL and got saved. that's going to happen when she realises it's been ted the whole time. if anything this guy was just there to illustrate what she is craves/needs right now... ted is literally in front of her

the green matchbook is from sam’s restaurant but WHY was the army man stuck inside it after SHE CHANGED BAGS? because the psychic was referring to a significant green object, dammit. (also I love that ‘matchbox’ is the company who created the army figurines… damn close enough to matchbook)

the red/blue magnets. the blue was face up (because ted is open/ready to be loved) & the red was face down (because it hasn’t hit rebecca yet, that he loves her. SHE NEEDS HER LIGHTNING MOMENT ALREADY)

amsterdam ep. it’s insane HOW tedbecca coded this was, DESPITE them being apart all night. all the unanswered texts, plus his face when she came onto the bus… this ep needs its own essay

the phone call with “hey jude” playing. this whole scene assures me that michelle/ted is not endgame. yes he’ll love her forever but the damage has been done & they have to let go (also symbolised with the back & forth pulling of henry’s backpack)

the freaking frame of her circle bag & tedbecca's hands touching as he gave the biscuits… there was NO REASON for this frame otherwise

the hallway interaction!! he called her "rebecca", & tbh I'm still not over the "psychic"/"bully" mentions because the bully incident was related to henry and the psychic predicting she's 'going to be a mother' LIKE WHAT IS THE REASON

ted/jason flat out saying sleepless in seattle is a better film… like obvs he'd lean more towards this ending than you've got mail. also the sambecca moment during you've got mail makes sense but it's nothing to read into, just an ‘oh what could have been’ moment to throw us off

the season opened in an airport, so I have a feeling it's going to close in an airport... this is the most plausible rom-com scene for them (as opposed to a rain kiss or showing up on a doorstep). I just want this so bad. idc how cliché it is. they deserve this.

This show is literally as old as my brother. It's aged line fine wine (as has he tbf) and I feel bad for kids being born now cause what funny lil sci-fi action-comedy shows will they have? A collection of one-season-then-cancelled Star Wars I guess?? Everything on a cliffhanger? 8 episodes focusing solely on the story with no character development time? The jokes are about kids being addicted to screens these days (the audience is the kids raised on screens?)

I cant believe I'm enjoying "Eureka", a show that aired 2006-2012, more than I've enjoyed any live action show that came out in the last 6+ years

I swear I'm going to watch Ted Lasso soon I swear. But I'm already invested in it thanks to a silly little Trent Crimm TikTok and now I'm set to believe Ted and Trent have a little something and setting myself up for failure. But also from the clips I've seen of Ted and Becca...it doesn't seem like they like each other either? Romantically I mean. Like yeah their moments are sweet but they don't give me "oh they LIKE each other" vibes. More of "oh hey, this is someone new who totally gets me but is also a complete opposite of me and I like being around them." vibes.

If anything I don't really see Ted getting in a relationship with anyone (?). Like the show(from what I can guess) is about growth and acceptance and that's very important to a person's self discovery.

But idk. I still got to watch it with my obvious Tedependent biases fbfbf.
