Can we talk about Dawn Bell for a second?

Spoilers for all Good Girl's Guide To Murder books obviously.

Since I finished the last book, I've had this thought that I really wish what happened to Dawn was addressed. Because just imagine being in this woman's shoes: your oldest daughter, Andie gets murdered and your husband is... weirdly controlling, but it's nothing. Andie's killer is dead and Jason moves out to get with another woman, but at least you have your youngest daughter, Becca.

Five years later a random 17 year old discovers that Becca actually killed Andie and Becca is sent to jail. Jason comes back to live you with you, as his new wife divorced him because of all the media coverage of him. He's obviously not happy. Then suddenly Jason turns up dead and it's revealed he was a serial killer.

Now your the only Bell left, with every family member except for Becca (who's in jail) dead. The only survivor of Fairview's cursed family.

I feel like no one ever talks about Dawn, she's just another side character with a shocking story that's pushed aside. She's quiet, that's for sure. Like she had this whole family with a husband and two daughters, and it all went down the drain in a matter of years. Dawn was always described as being like Jason's side kick who didn't really do anything, but I find it so interesting how she was the only Bell who made it out. And she's never talked about.

So, what happened to Dawn Bell?

ugh there's just something about Hawkins suspecting pip over Jason Bell's murder that gives me chills idk why. Like, I need to know how the next encounter between him and pip would be like if she ever came back to little kilton

Also, won't Pip disappearing from kilton for like 2 years strike him off as odd? I feel like a part of him would always feel like pip was involved in the mess, even after Max's trial.

Now I'm just thinking abt Hawkins not giving up the whole matter even after years, and digs deeper to uncover the truth, just like how pip did for sal being framed as the murderer for andie. Ughh full circle? The angst potential tho omg

she read the first two books, loved them (tho she wasnt a fan of how unhinged pip was getting at the end of ggbb… ohhhh boyyy)

She’s got about 20 pages left until pip gets kidnapped. She’s sure DT is Jason, but she did consider Daniel da silva tbf. Its funny bc when we watched the show she said the most attractive actor was Jasons 😭😭 this was before she started reading it as well

she’s mad that Pip is taking Xanax and not telling ravi bc she’s scared they’ll break up. That conversation w/ me pretty much went like

her: she shouldn’t be doing that, what if he breaks up with her?

me: do you seriously think Ravi would ever break up with Pip?

her: … no. But he’ll be hurt, and he doesn’t deserve that :(
