So why is it okay when Rebecca dates a man in his 20s but when Rupert does the same thing it's predatory 🤔

Because I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with an age gap between two consenting adults, but I find it skeevy when an older person obviously has a habit of dating younger people specifically because they're younger.

Rebecca just happened to hit it off with Sam not even realizing that there was an age gap, while Rupert purposely seeks out young, naive women because he knows women his age (or even Rebecca's age!) won't buy into his shit

this is a ted lasso sideblog so the fandom i shall pick is ted lasso. Today we put the hurt in hurt/comfort.

Even through the closed window, Rebecca can hear the yelling.

The familiar joyous calls of footballers of training are interspersed with the harsher cries of anguish, at a mistake or a missed goal, and the following angry interjection of Roy Kent hollering at the top of his lungs, "Whistle, fucking whistle!" Ordinarily, the noise focuses Rebecca in on her own work, but today she has to bribe herself with a biscuit to stay at her desk without being lured to the window to track their progress. The team needs to be good enough to beat Rupert, and she has learned the hard way that nobody is at their best when faced with the constant stress of being watched. Which means she doesn't see what happens to make the noise collapse into silence, then rise into screams. She only sees, after having rushed to the window, a huddle of standing and crouching players over a prone body fallen to the field as the booming voice of Roy Kent spits out a strangled cry of, "Sam!"
