NaClYoHo, day...something
Raise your hand if you're surprised that I lost track of the days already...yeah. Me neither.
At any rate, mostly today I chilled out because Lord knows I needed it. I did clean up the kitchen from making chicken casserole last night and picked up the living room, which included putting some stuff that had been sitting out since I unpacked it several weeks ago away. Also, the kitchen cabinets are your basic builder grade wood cabinets without hardware. I keep forgetting which side has the hinges, which is annoying as hell, so I had bought some stick on cabinet pulls back when I moved in, but never put them on. They've just been floating around the counter. So I put those up. A small thing, but will probably make my life slightly less frustrating.

I'm waiting for documents from work so I spent 2h sorting out my books. So far, 8 books are going to the free library box and 15 will be sold. More than 20 books are leaving and that makes me happy. It's a small dent but it's something.

Still depressed AF and nothing gets really done here. Broke my salt lamp. The lamp I got to replace the old one was to big. Flipped over a wooden display, putt salt lamp in it and tada. Working lamp.
Oh no, 2 more lamps broke? And I'm broke as well?? Well then, here's a working Frankenstein lamp for ya made out of those two lamps.
How the rest of the house? Cluttered, dusty, depressing. Can I go now?

FINALLY got a little rack* for storage in the laundry room! This area has annoyed me since we moved in last July/August. 😒 My back doesn't like reaching that high and that far away to get things off the shelf, and I don't want to overload it. And, I actually swept and mopped the floor before putting it in. 😁 Even wiped down the washer and dryer.
Took about an hour to put the rack together and then clean and reorganize. 🥳 Break time!
*The rack is a bathroom 3-shelf space saver but who says I can't use it anywhere I want! 🤩

The Great Unfuckening: planning post 2
So I have two days each week! Tuesdays and Fridays. Let’s see what I can think of for goals.
Week 1: Bathroom. Tuesday, wipe off easy surfaces and tidy up shelves/organization. Friday, clean the toilet.
Week 2: Bathroom again. Tuesday, the tub itself and shower walls. Friday, de-rust the shower rod and hang a new shower curtain.
Week 3: Bathroom (mostly) final. Tuesday, clean the steam mop. Friday, the bathroom floor.
Week 4: Kitchen. Tuesday, get the cleaning supplies re-hung and clean the stepstool. Friday, reorganize the shelves.
Week 5: Kitchen. Tuesday, fridge and sweep. Friday, deep floor clean.
Week 6: Main room. Tuesday, the computer desk. Friday, the smallish bedside table.
Week 7: Main room. Tuesday, dust bookshelves. Friday, organize the hallway bookshelf.
Week 8: Main room. Tuesday, start clearing off the big table. Friday, keep going on it. I think it’ll take a while. :)
Whew, that’s two months’ worth! I may have to change things up before I get to the end, if I discover other things that also need doing early in the process. And the above 8 weeks certainly don’t cover everything that I already know of, either. But it’s a jumping-off point, at least! And I have two goals for this week that DESPERATELY need to happen soon, so that’s the main thing. Let’s clean that toilet! :)

Woke up early this morning. Like 9 ish. After staying up almost all night. Sophia and I had cereal and she had chips too. Judge me idc. After eating I usually feel awake but today I was exhausted so I took Sophia in her room and fell asleep. Woke up around 1. Made sure sophia got her vitamin and cough medicine. She sounds fine today, not stuffy or runny. I can see in her face that she's sick still.
I decided to tackle dishes. I'm so ashamed of how messy I let this place get. I'm disgusted at myself and my behavior. I know I'm doing my best. And I know I'm working hard to break bad habits and push through my brain fog and exhaustion. But it still makes me sad. Sophia deserves better and shes the reason I'm trying so hard. Making before and after posts motivates me. I'm like, if I get this done itll make an awesome before and after. So. Without further ado.

NaClYoHo, Day 2
A pretty light day- I didn't get up until 1 and had a church group thing on zoom at 2, plus I still feel kinda punky. But I did unpack two boxes of books, so that's 2 boxes out of the garage. I'm not entirely sure how many more boxes of books there are- the shelves aren't full, but they weren't full at the old place, either. The two boxes I unpacked were knitting/craft books and cookbooks, which I think were the last two categories packed. I think all my kids books are on the shelf and I also see most of the other fiction books on the shelves, so there might be one more box? Two at the outside? I moved most of my book collection to Kindle two or three moves ago, so it's hard to remember exactly what I have in physical copies and what I don't.
Anyway, progress. The weather looks like it's gonna hold for a bit yet, so I don't need to rush too much to get the stuff from the garage, but I know there's stuff out there that I've been looking for, so that does lend a bit of urgency. I'll see what I'm feeling like tomorrow.

I started a big unf*ckening of our bedroom cupboard. It's mostly books, magazines, cables, diy stuff, jewelry, cards, papers, USB keys, and other stuff like that.
So far, I've dealt with the two shelves of books. Around ten books are leaving us, either to be donated or sold. I also trashed old school papers.
I am now waiting for the boyfriend to wake up from his nap to continue with my diy mess and jewelry. A lot of beads, fimo projects, pompoms and others. Since I have to put what was in a drawer in the living room as well on this shelf, it will probably require a lot of sacrifice. But it's needed.

Tried not only to reorganize my super super tiny closet. And not only reorganizing but also using a completely different system with colored boxes with labels attached indicating the clothing items in it (since ALL my clothesare black abd my closet has no light, it gets very messy pretty quick!) . Looks very need right?
