It's great that you're taking a staycation.

Really, it is. Just make sure it's actually a vacation. This is not the time to "catch up" on chores, home improvement projects, or whatever else you (or others) think you "should be" doing. This is not the time for work emails and Zoom calls, either. Give yourself permission to rest, and to not be "on" all the time. Above all, don't feel guilty about taking this time to rest. You need rest.

I’ve had this week off of work and it’s been such a nice little staycation. My MIL has watched the boys a few mornings so I could get to physical therapy and then I’ve had a bit of time to myself to go shopping, hiking, and do a mani/pedi. (I’ve also been focused on my health & weight loss goals and those are going pretty well.) The remainder of the time has been spent with the kiddos. We’ve taken trips to a local wild animal park and a blueberry farm, played at local playgrounds and in our backyard, and have done a few bike/wagon rides around the neighborhood. The weather has been perfect this week — a stark contrast from all the rain last week. I really lucked out. Looking forward to a few more of these days before it’s back to work on Monday.
