I'm already rereading it on audio (which is phenomenal) and I don't think I'll be over this book any time soon.

It kind of unnerves me when I see greens speak of Aegon as if he’s a precious, fun loving fratty momma’s boy when he’s actually just a gluttonous rapist. I get liking characters for complexity but genuinely what do you like about a rapist.

Rhaenyra gets a lot of criticism as a character, some of which are valid. She is a hothead. She is irresponsible. She is at times bloodthirsty. But for all that criticism I see greens give for Rhaenyra, I hardly see towards Aegon. They’re two sides of the same coin (except not really because Rhaenyra never had any 12 year old paramours). However, only one gets considered unworthy of their father’s heritage.

Rhaenyra can’t have bastards because god forbid a woman have sex out of wedlock. But Aegon can use his own out of wedlock children in violent forms human entertainment. And if having bastards is enough to disqualify someone from being the ruling monarch, Aegon and Aemond shouldn’t rule either right? But of course, for some “obviously non-gender related reason” Aegon can rule while Rhaenyra can’t.

Aegon is praised and loved for the same reasons Rhaenyra is not. Aegon is also a hothead and irresponsible. Aegon is also shown to have his own bloodlust. However Aegon not showing any full interest in his responsibilities as king is seen as fun and playful while with Rhaenyra it’s childish.

Even down to very appearance Rhaenyra is criticized more. Rhaenyra gets tons of fatshaming posts making crude remarks on her gained weight but Aegon and his wife get fuck all. At least Rhaenyra has her six pregnancies as an excuse, what excuse does Aegon get for being a fatass?

It isn’t about gender until it is. It’s about liking complexity and flaw in characters until it isn’t.

I hate hate hate when asoiaf fans start very openly talking about b&c as a good thing. Jaehaerys was a little boy. A child who probably wanted no part in whatever bs the adults were doing. Jaehaera and Maelor didn't deserve to watch their brother die. Joffrey, Aegon III and Viserys II deserved better, they were children.

It's insane how the team propaganda is something people eat up like starved dogs. The entire point is that choosing is bad, that it was all this civil unrest and killing of each other that damned the Targaryens. I think Rhaenyra should have gotten the throne, she was named heir and the misogyny against her is very clear. But you know what REALLY I think should have happened? The dismantling of the monarchy but I'm insane and people aren't ready for that conversation so I'll keep that to myself.

Point is, use your brains it's not a good thing to wish death upon children, pregnant women and infants.

'Oh but they're useless!' Let's see you pick up a sword and fight your entire extended family and their giant firebreathing dragons for an iron chair that makes your ass raw knowing you won't even get to sit on in the first place at six fucking years old. Y'all can't even do it at 14-15 which is how old Jace, Baela, Rhaena and Daeron were, let alone as fully grown adults.

I'm team children aren't pawns but humans and hating on underdeveloped little kids still understanding the world is weird. Fuck off if you think otherwise.

EDIT - To clarify my position. I'm not picking a side because I would literally burn down the monarchy in asoiaf if I could. I would literally craft a workable democracy with my own two hands if it meant more children and commoners won't have to die for some asshole's political ambition.

I've been watching Hazbin Hotel in prime. Just watched episode 5 and I gotta ask

Why, oh, WHY DON'T I SEE MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT "MORE THAN ANYTHING" WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE HAZBIN HOTEL MUSIC???

Like I get it, the song before it "Hell's Greatest Dad" Is a bop reminiscent of other music from the era its parodying. I loved it.

BUT why are you only putting clips of that song when this MASTERPIECE comes a few minutes after

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this song. The visuals are beautiful, especially when we get moments like this where you can just see the absolute LOVE this man has for her daughter is so sweet and Heartwarming I just-

The voices are fenomenal but what else can you expect from the broadway talents of Erika Henningsen and Jeremy Jordan.

There is also the whole Symbolism with passing the baton to the next generation and stuff. I- I can't even get into the specifics right now Im too emotional.

id love to see flame and a locked in ro team up tbh. like i feel like it either goes very well for both of them bc they have the potiential to work well together, given ro's ambitious nature and his way of loving to just Do Things w his teammates and flame's loyalty nd apparent (unconcious) way of seeking out someone to follow and do fun things with.

or it could go EXTREMELY poorly bc of who they are as people since flame is a wild card with a lot of pride that can be used to set him off and ro just isnt an assertive person, esp w people hes not as close to, so if someone made flame crash out and he started doing things ro didnt like, itd cause an entire Thing cause it can end one of three ways. ro doesnt saying anything and is upset by it and it festers. ro DOES say smt and flame doesnt care or gets upset w HIM. or ro says smt and flame listens to him.

cause like, okay flames thing seems to be that he generally returns the energy of everyone he interacts w. mane and pentar have done nothing but be loyal to him so he is FIERCELY loyal to them both. he felt like wemmbu was a leech and as if it was only a matter of time until he betrayed but since wemmbu never actually did he never acted upon it. the empire has always treated him as a hostile enemy so thats what he is to them in return. the only person in the server aside from mane and pentar that he seems to genuinely adore and respect is pangi (to the point of being Against it when ash wanted to kill him) and i think a very big part of this is bc pangi has continued to treat him like a person and to treat him w kindness in spite of what he has done and regardless of if he deserves it given how much he has done to hurt pangi specifically

and like w how ro kind of just lives in the moment and makes his decisions based on what is happening just naturally in the moment (unless u are mapicc LMFAO. in which case he will always do his best to be friends w mapicc) i can see them synergizing well. but also if ro played the server and had fun as a team w flame only to vanish once again, i dont think itd go well at all bc i do think flame would remain loyal but i also think he'd do whatever he thinks is fun, and given his little knack for destruction itd give them enemies ro doesnt want yk .

as im saying this all i cant help but think theyd be similar to s4 dualities but the ending could only be on opposite extremes of them thriving and ending the season together, or w some sort of betrayal and flame being determined to ban ro himself bc he REALLY doesnt seem the type to just be ex teammates and to leave it there. for as similar as flame and mapicc are, they are equally as different. idk if any of this makes sense, ive just woken up after 3 hrs of sleep but whatever i just wanted an excuse to talk abt ro and flame

if the circumstances remained the same up to viserys marrying alicent and having four children with her, what do you guys think could have helped to prevent or at least stall the dance of the dragons? my personal opinion would be to (since he wanted to have a similar reign to jaehaerys so bad) maybe not give the children of his second wife dragon eggs/don’t allow them to claim fully grown dragons? it feels like such a dumbed down and obvious answer but even if otto and alicent still managed to arrange a coup to take the throne they wouldn’t be able to hold it. plus what lord would back them if it meant almost certain death? aegon, helaena, aemond, and daeron would be next to no threat without any dragons; thus destroying the argument that alicent would have to usurp the throne to ‘protect’ her kids. all they’d have to do is bend the knee and swear obeisance to rhaenyra. problem solved (until).

Okay one of my friends over on IG and I have been brainstorming a Team Ambit coffeeshop AU and she wrote the first chapter of it so I had to share (after getting permission of course)! (There will be more chapters, we had too many ideas to throw around haha)

Leaks about Dokutaro (aka the Poison Peach) who granted the Loyal Three their deepest wishes (to become stronger/wiser/prettier) by fixing them with the toxic chain...

Kieran vowing to become stronger and rumored to be the Champion in the Blueberry Academy arc...

Codes for 'zombie' in the DLC that haven't aired for the Teal Mask...

What I'm wondering if the player is asked to come to Blueberry Academy to help defeat the 'Champion' because they have taken control of the school and made everyone into 'zombies' with toxic chains - all part of Dokutaro's master plan (which may involve Ogrepon, may involve Terapagos) and you, as the main character, have to fight your way through the school and the 'Elite Four' to get to Kieran and free him from Dokutaro's influence. I also think that perhaps the evolution for Dipplin might go from Grass/Dragon to Poison/Dragon (to keep with the theme of caduceus and healing but the opposite, and also tying in with what happens to Pokemon influenced by Dokutaro - wouldn't be surprised if a new poison-move boosting item is introduced as well).

I know there's theories that the professor wearing a scarlet blazer and violet pants might be the villain (and she might still be involved, maybe she releases Dokutaro and introduces Kieran to it in a bid to get Terapagos) but thinking about how the first half of the DLC is more exploration and the latter half is battling makes me think about the Team Star battle mechanics but also how to raise the stakes and what makes sense story and lore wise given everything that's being set up.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. This is just speculation after all...
