every gen one character who appeared from tdas and onwards was bastardised in one way or another. gwen was nvr rly emotional and feminine, duncan would’ve stayed loyal to courtney and would nvr have gone soft, courtney was still a bit of an ass in tdi/a but nvr to the level we see in tdas, seirra went back into her creepy behaviour to cody after tdwt, which removed any meaning their friendship at tdwt had, lindsay was extremely dumbed down & heather and alejandro weren’t as tactical and were extremely loving towards eachother (which was a funny joke ngl). i haven’t watched all of trr, but noah was much more of an ass towards owen and it was rly weird when half his character was simping for emma and geoff feels more stereotypical then he was before. i rly can’t be bothered to say all of the characters from tdr, but i don’t think anyone acc cares abt that one. finally, owen felt a lot more food obsessed in tdir.

again this is my opinion, and some changes feel like decent choices for the characters, but nonetheless, all of them 100% changed in some way.

Weird question, and I know it is, but what do you think of Total Dramarama making Gwen and Ella cousins? or Owen and Max cousins?

eh, i feel pretty neutral about it. duncan's parents in tdr are completely different people than they are in tdi canon so i don't put much stock into what tdr canon means for tdi canon. since tdr is geared toward younger kids who might not have seen td so i think introducing tdr gen 3 characters as related to already established tdr gen 1 characters is probably the simplest way to integrate them into the show. though i do think the implications for td canon are pretty funny. max watched his cousin get brutalized the first three seasons of td and went "this is the perfect environment for my evil genius". ella was watching her cousin kiss her best friend's boyfriend in tdwt and went "omg singing!!"
