Day 20: Heather – The Queen Bee

The original villain you love to hate. As much as I hated Heather in her original season for getting lots of my favorite characters eliminated, she did her job right and watching her arc in later seasons was very interesting as villain redemption arcs hadn’t become much of a trend yet at that point.

It was a sign of good writing that as often as Heather got a win, she also got karma in the form of Gwen or Leshawna pranking her like dumping an ant farm in her bed. As a manipulator, she was good at what she did, appealing to Beth’s desire to be with the popular girl and tricking Lindsay with her naivety. As I mentioned during Trent’s elimination, that was the first one of her victims I was upset about. I was really happy when Lindsay told her off and when she ultimately got eliminated with her head shaved off.

Going into season two, I wasn’t sure how she was going to survive since everybody knew her game now. As it turned out, nobody was really worried about her anymore to the point they felt comfortable voting off other people before her. Meanwhile, she kept scrambling to find a wig to cover her bald head. One thing I liked from the special that carried over into the season was her and Harold’s odd friendship as he was the only person who had a good understanding of her via psychology.

Season three was her best competition record. Gwen and Leshawna were good rivals in the original season, and now with Alejandro in the game, she had a rival that could throw her off balance more than anyone else. The way she started out bickering with Gwen and Courtney on her team, and slowly became an anti-hero that could stop Alejandro was a great storyline. The shipping between them was fun too because Heather never had to try so hard to get a guy’s attention before, and that was hilarious. Her kicking him down the volcano at the end was so satisfying.

Like everyone else, Heather suffered from bad writing in season five. Probably the only thing I liked about Heather’s game in this season was her bickering with Jo as that was to be expected from two dominant personalities on the same team. While I enjoyed the poetry of Alejandro eliminating her as karma for the volcano and starting their relationship on a clean slate, they could have done it better that didn’t involve her leaving behind the invincibility statue so he could steal it.

I don’t need Heather on another season, but if she did show up so the writers could fix the season five characterization, I wouldn’t mind.

Heather and Lindsay finding out Gwen’s secret job was taking some of Nikki shift at the khaki barn

Also u know Heather works at Albatross and Finch with Alejandro, since they’re THE most popular kids in school. Yes they are both Greeter Gods and Goddesses period!

Trent and Courtney works at Spin This, but Courtney got fired after country week because she destroyed the radio

Courtney now works at Grind Me with Leshawna and Charmaine (look I have this headcanon she’s SUPER addicted to coffee, like Wyatt addicted)

Noah and Cody works at the Stereo Shack and Harold works at Underground Video!!! Harold and Wayne gets along pretty well actually.

Duncan used to work with Jude at Stick It but ended up getting an apprenticeship job at the Tattoo Parlour

Geoff works at Gametorium and Owen works at Burger Mcflipsters (he definitely got fired)

Bridgette and tyler works at The Penalty Box with Jen and they’re all super good friends because of it (they probably wouldn’t have been friends otherwise since they’re from completely different circles)

Lindsay works at the Squeeze with Caitlin! She’s pretty good friends with the main 6 since she holds their table for them, though she often gets their names mixed up with her cheerleading friends. And yes, Jonsey flirted with Lindsay and they dated for a bit before Lindsay founded Tyler dontcomeatmeshhh and yes Nikki kinda holds this grudge on Lindsay but can’t really get mad at her cause she’s so sweet

can you do some headcanons about heather, lindsay, and courtney as a high school clique? Please🙏😌

Of course! This is a trio I would have loved to see on the show! Their all such powerful characters, love them!

- they’d be the clique that everyone’s intimidated by. They wouldn’t necessarily be bitches, I know everyone sets them up to be like that bc of mean girls and heathers. But they’d just be super popular.

- they’d be part of every major club, but of course they each have one that they do on their own. They’d also probably be the head of the clubs their in.

- they’re definitely cheerleaders, it took a lot of convincing for Courtney though.

- aside from each other they have a few friends in other cliques. Courtney has Bridgette, Geoff, DJ, and Duncan comes along with that. Lindsay has Tyler, Beth, Leshawna, and Owen. Heather has Alejandro, Noah, probably Amy too.

- Heather and Courtney always get into an argument of who the leader is. But overall it just comes down to what they’re doing and who has the most knowledge on the subject.

- Lindsay gives them makeovers every year, it’s there new school year tradition.

- they have sleepovers at Heather’s every other weekend.

- every now and then they make sure they are color corridinated, usually for big events like college night or if they’re helping host an event on school grounds.

- when it comes to dating they all swear they have to approve of each others significant other. But let’s face it, they all keep it a secret until it’s blatantly obvious and no one cares.

- they always audition for the school musicals. Courtney obviously gets the leads, Heather’s always pissed but doesn’t care bc she wouldn’t show up anyway. Lindsay is fine with whichever role she gets, she enjoys being around everyone more.

- they make sure they all have the same lunch period and study halls.

- Courtney drives them to school every morning. She’s the only responsible driver between the three.

- if someone tries to start shit they all have each others back and shut that shit DOWN.
