do you think, when domina profundis shielded callum and all his loved ones during the final battle (their first actual meeting), and in doing so sacrificed herself, callum thought of finnegrin? of how he'd given up information on how to kill the very dragon now protecting him and his friends? of how if things had went differently, there might not be a domina profundis to protect them now, and this would have been the end for him and his friends?

So in 7 x 9 dominos shielded everyone with her wings as aaravos burned right? Then it cut to the arch dragon mural where all four of them are there, does this mean domina also died? Or did she survive and was in the mural because she's also an arch dragon? Thoughts?

Azymondias and Regina Pulsara are in mourning for the grave loses they have suffered.

Zym and Regi were practically both raised by Zubeia. While Regi could not always be around, Zubeia was still like a mother to her as well. Unlike Zym, Regi did get to meet Avizandum. He held high hopes for her, knowing she and Zym would be Xadia's future. But now after everything, Zym and Regi are the last of their mighty race of arch dragons. Having still a long journey of growth and learning to meet the standards of their predecessors. Hopefully with the chance given by the great arch dragons' sacrifice, together Zym and Regi, working alongside elves and humans, can build a new better and brighter world. One the arch dragons would be proud of.

That's right, my star is back. Truthfully Regi feels guilty here as well. Wondering if perhaps she left to aid them. Maybe her power could've done something. That maybe the arch dragons, Zubeia at least, she might have prevented the death of. But she cannot dwell on the past, only strive for a better future.

Callum's first actual meeting with Domina Profundis being her showing up in the dragon battle at the end and then sacrificing her life to shield him and his loved ones from death is somewhat funny because like. Do you think Finnegrin flashed across his mind? "sorry I was going to let him try to / help him murder you in order to save my gf". just something to think about

If TDP does get another Saga, they have Aaravos to prepare for.

And Aaravos took out all the Arch dragons (not that it was a permanent solution anyway) so arch dragons are no longer a threat to any startouch elf anymore.

But (depending on how evicerated the Archdragons bones are) there could be 3? At most (Domina Profundis, Rex Igneous and Sol Regem's), Archdragons teeth to take and turn into weapons. Like the Nova blade.

At minimum, Sol Regem's teeth could be used.

Callum gave Finnegrin the wrong ingredients

This realization suddenly hit me out of nowhere, and now I'm kicking myself for not realizing this sooner:

When Callum describes the archdragon-killing spell to Finnegrin, the ingredients he lists out are subtly but significantly different from what Viren had said.

Here's are the ingredients that Callum mentions:

A dying breath

A unicorn horn

Blood filled with hatred

But here is the spell that Viren described:

A dying breath

A unicorn horn

Blood filled with hatred of one who loved the victim

And this clearly isn't a small thing, not only poetically (hate and love in the same act), but also logistically. There are plenty of people, Viren included, who hated Avizandum for a variety of reasons, but he needed Harrow's help to complete the spell. The fact that the ingredient needs not just any blood filled with hatred, but the blood of one who loved the person with the dying breath, provides that reason, so it's not a small thing.

So in other words, Callum basically gave Finnegrin a faulty spell. With this missing piece, there was no way Finn was going to be able to replicate the spell and kill the Domino Profundis.

And given Callum's photographic memory, attention to detail, and his level of studiousness, it's highly unlikely he did this on accident. He knew what the right spell was, he just didn't tell Finnegrin what it was.

Which is an insane gambit on his part. Even when trying to protect Rayla, he still wouldn't give Finn what he wanted!
