How could Vi understand it when her whole life was built on fighting?

Vi only knows how to fight. Since she was a kid, she fights to protect her sister and family, then she fights in prison to survive, and when she gets out of prison, she fights again to find her sister. So after everything Vi has been through, it's natural for her to find fighting as the only way to vent her anger and sadness.

Vi is one of the most tragic characters in the show. It is right that there are other characters who have gone through and will go through bad experiences, but Vi is the most suffering and miserable of them in the show.

I really hope her story ends well, because she deserves it.

What we learned from the Geeked Week ST5 video:

– Every detail matters, especially the costumes, as they reflect the characters’ personalities & interests.

– Colors play an important role too!

– They created playlists for their characters (*cough-cough* Finn’s STurn playlist 😉).

We've only had Lera Abova publicly on the cast for like 20 minutes, and, not to be dramatic, I'm already at the point where I would take a bullet for her. She's perfect, she's wonderful, I LOVE HER

The way that they have Sandman getting promoted after cancelling DBD just shows that they didn't cancel DBD because of Neil Gaimen. Neil Gaimen was never the issue. They didn't like the queer representation. Keep talking. Keep shouting. We've got this.

Edit: This was made in a fuss in the middle of the Geeked Week livestream. There are queer characters in Sandman (Desire is Non-Binary) but I’ve never watched it. I still believe that canceling DBD just because of NG is stupid because of the fact that he wrote like 11 minutes of the show.

i’m so fucking done like what the fuck fuck fucking fuck. i was mad about 1899, because dark was so good and i wanted more from the creators. i was saddened by i am not ok with this, because i loved the characters and wanted to finish the story. i was devastated by the oa, because it was such a beautiful show and i needed to know what happened next.

but this is too fucking much. GUYS. the sandman universe is going, it’s getting more episodes and expanding. dbd made it to the top 3, that alone should automatically get it renewed. dbd is honestly one of my absolute favourite shows of all time. it’s funny and complex and has some of the best queer rep ever, it deals with important themes and has loveable characters and a beautifully realised world.

PLEASE, i beg of anyone who sees this, whether they’re a fan of dbd or not, to BLAST netflix in any way you can. tag them, message them, write to them en masse. like i’m so serious. literally write a letter by hand or print it out, and physically send it to netflix headquarters.

fucking do it, please. we cannot lose this lovely and beautiful and witty show. maybe, though the chances are slim and there are probably legal challenges, it can be picked up again by max, which was what originally produced the show anyways.

A Friendly Reminder

The Sandman finished filming BEFORE we got the cancellation news, so it means that Netflix DIDN'T listen to us, and they just got lucky it was pre planned.

I feel like the biggest problem Vi's personality is struggling with is that she doesn't accept change. The change that happens to the people Vi knows. Her inability to accept change is what holds her back from getting close to the people she loves.

Cause as we saw in the clip that was released at the geeked week event "Nothing to Lose" The video showed us something sad about Vi, which is that it is difficult for her to change or to change anything in her personality.

I feel like it's because she didn't experience change, she spent most of her life in prison doing the same thing every day for 7 years, so maybe after something bad happened to her or maybe to Caitlyn or Jinx. She went and did the thing she always did which was fight then get beaten then wake up to another day and fight and the same cycle repeats itself over and over.
