Reunion
In which Harrow sees his sons again. [because @lunanightriderofthecove wanted a sequel to this one where Harrow sees his sons again and I thought that was a splendid idea. Happy Birdthday to the King of Katolis!]
Harrow cocked his head, glancing up at Opeli above him, adjusting his perch on her arm. He ruffled his feathers and let out a small coo, drawing her attention. She looked at him with an expression someplace between confusion and pi-
Oh, was that a bug?
Harrow lifted off from her arm, surroundings temporarily forgotten, and soared through the great double doors Soren had just opened to land on the red carpeted floor. He hurried forward, jabbing at the ground with his beak until he'd managed to skewer the cricket.
A loud thump came from behind him and he jumped, images of Viren and cage doors slamming flashing through his mind. He took to the skies again, except the sky had been replaced by a marble ceiling, cloudless and white. He squawked, panicking filling for a moment before-
"Dad?"
The voice snapped him back into his own mind again and he settled on a nearby table, turning to search for it's source. There was a throne at the end off the great hall, familiar though the wood was now scorched and blackened. And seated in it was...
He flew forward, wings flapping frantically. He looked so different, so much older. But Harrow would have known that face anywhere. It didn't matter how long he hadn't been himself, it was his son. He lighted on the arm of the throne, staring up into Ezran's big blue eyes as they filled with tears.
He was certainly older, and not just physically. Harrow could see the crown - silver in place of gold, but still just as heavy - sitting on his brow. The lines under his eyes that no child should have. Except he was no longer a child, was he? A teenager?
Harrow experienced the strange sensation of knowing that he was crying without the capacity to cry. The same feeling but none of the affects. He took a tentative step forward, talons hooking into the wood as he leaned as close as he could. He reached out, brushing his hand against Ezran's outstretched hand. He cooed, knowing his words didn't matter but wanting to say them anyway.
Except Ezran smiled through the tears, a small laugh forming in the back of his throat, "Yeah, I'm okay. I missed you, too."
Harrow stared up at him, then leapt forward into his lap, gazing up into his eyes as he began twittering again.
Ezran wrapping both hands gently around him, thumb gently stroking his feathers. But Harrow knew the touch for what it was. A hold, tight, but not constricting. As though he was afraid he'd slip through his fingers at any moment.
"Yes, he's okay, too." Ezran glanced across the room for a moment, "Soren, will you go and get Callum? And Rayla, too."
"You got it!"
Harrow turned to watch the Crownguard spin on his heel and hurry from the room, Opeli right on his heels. He had grown so much, too. But not just that, he had also changed. So much had changed. And he had missed all of it.
Harrow turned back to his son, cooing another question.
Ezran smiled, tears still spilling silently down his cheeks, "You'll like Rayla. She's Callum's girlfriend."
Harrow twittered and watched Ezran's face fall. He hopped closer, cocking his head to the side worriedly.
"Yeah I... I guess he did finally get over her. There's a lot to tell you, Dad. I don't really know where to start."
The beginning, Harrow prompted. He would have been happy to listen to Ezran talk about anything for hours, anything at all.
His son took a deep breath, but instead of answering his questions, he asked one of his own, "Did Lord Viren do this to you?"
Harrow's eyes narrowed and he dipped his head, squawking a frustrated confirmation. When he got his han- talons on that traitorous mage he would-
"He's dead," Ezran told him, gently.
Harrow stopped his squawking, staring up at him. A wave of emotion crashed over him, confusing and unexpected. Surely not... sadness. Not after everything Viren had done?
"I'll explain everything once Callum is here," Ezran assured him. Then he added; "I'm so glad you're back, Dad."
Harrow cooed in agreement, rubbing his head against Ezran's hand once again. Just then the doors flew open behind them and he turned to find Callum standing in the doorway, taller and wearing-
Wearing the robes of the High Mage's office, a white streak through his hair.
An image of Viren, not much older than his son must now be, standing in a similar outfit and a similar castle flashed before his eyes.
But then Callum took a hesitant step forward, gait breaking into a run, and the image was forgotten.
"Dad!" he cried, dropping to his knees before the throne to throw his arms around Harrow, who stepped forward into his son's embrace. He cooed softly, nuzzling Callum's cheek with his head.
"He says he's glad you're okay, and that he loves you very much," Ezran supplied.
Callum pulled away after a moment, staring down at him with wide eyes. "We're going to get you out of there," he said, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I know a spell that will fix all of this."
Harrow stared up at him, once again the image of Viren flashing over his son's face. He looked away, gaze wandering over the room to land on-
The assassins. They had found him. Somehow they were here.
Harrow launched himself into the air, squawking furiously as he tried to draw Callum and Ezran's attention. The elf, who had previously been skulking in the doorway, flinched back. He saw Soren reach out towards her and for a moment felt reassured, but the Crownguard merely patted her on the shoulder before pushing her gently into the room. Of course. Why had he trusted Viren's son?
Except then Callum turned, eyes lighting up at the sight of her, and beckoned her forward as well. She walked hesitantly to his side and his son straightened up, tucking an arm around her waist. Harrow stopped cawing and lighted back on the arm of the throne, wings spread protectively before Ezran.
"Dad, this is Rayla. My girlfriend," Callum said. The elf gave a small wave.
"We're at peace now, with the elves," Ezran said from behind him and Harrow turned to look at him. "Didn't Soren tell you?"
An image of a green haired elf surfaced from his memory, hand outstretched and full of berries. Harrow lowered his wings, cooing softly with embarrassment. He remembered, now, Soren introducing him. And- and there had been another person there, too. Not one of Viren's children. Corvin? Corvus! He had been there as well, working alongside the elf with comfortable familiarity.
Harrow dipped his head beneath his wing. It was becoming harder and harder to connect the dots. To hold onto the pieces of himself that weren't as close to his heart. He could feel things slipping away from him, things he knew he should know and remember. But the image of his sons had always remained clear in his mind, an anchor holding him together at his center, keeping all the drifting pieces together. Or as together as they could be.
"It's okay," Ezran reached out and stroked his head, seeming to sense his worry. "Callum is going to get you back."
Harrow looked up at his sons, glancing between them. Ezran gave him a watery eyed smile and Callum knelt back down to reach out and hold him again. The three of them reunited at last.
Whatever had happened over the years he'd been gone, however much they had grown and changed, these were his sons. And so long as he held onto that knowledge, he knew nothing else mattered.

I know everyone has noticed and pointed out the similar appearances of the Merciful One and Sarai.
But I'd also like to point out that (almost) every other member of the Startouch Elf Council also looks like people in the show-- dead people. And in all of their deaths, Viren somehow played a part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sarai (indirectly)
Sarai was killed in battle by Avizandum after she went back and saved Viren. Not to mention Viren was right there when she died, capturing her last breath.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harrow (indirectly)
It was Viren's persuasion that led Harrow to seek and end the life of the Avizandum and his idea to destroy the egg of the dragon prince-- even though he didn't actually go through with it-- for which Harrow took the blame and was assassinated for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Khessa (indirectly)
He was the vessel that brought Aaravos's bug to Lux Aurea. This allowed Aaravos to get close to Khessa, who then proceeded to possess another elf and kill her-- making Viren partially responsible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kpp'ar (directly)
Even though Kpp'ar isn't technically dead, he's not alive either so I count it. This one is obvious. Viren is the one who trapped Kpp'ar's soul in the coin, making Viren directly responsible for his demise.
-When creating this, I also noticed that all these people were in some type of position of authority within whatever monarchy they participated in-
Every member of the Startouch Elf Council has a look-alike in the show who is currently dead because of Viren-- or at least not living, in Kpp'ar's case. Every member except this one.
Tumblr media
I'm not sure who this person looks like, if they look like anyone at all. And, if they do have a look-alike that might be introduced in s7, I wonder if they'll stay consistent with this pattern I found.
Like most of my observations, I'm not really sure where I'm going with this but I'd love for anyone to add on to this half-theory.

Right in front of our faces
So I've been thinking about self-eating a lot. Not only because it's weirdly on brand with everything in Claudia's arc (drinking her own blood, treating her own body basically as dark magic parts just for other people's metaphorical consumption, at least in her head, rather than for her own desires) but also because... Why, y'know? Why have this be a thing, why reserve it for the third arc, an arc wherein with the Archdragons gone Aaravos' main goal will be to dismantle the Cosmic Council?
In some ways, I think I was so focused on Aaravos' side of things—the easiest way to get revenge on the Stars (since they don't care about the destruction of their creation, not really, according to him) would be to kill them but he, for whatever reason, cannot do that—that I was missing the obvious other side of things.
Aaravos asks in 7x08, "Are you watching?" but wouldn't it be really bad for him if they were? What is stopping the Cosmic Council from transporting Aaravos to the same place they took Leola and permanently killing him, since permanently killing a Startouch elf is something we know the Cosmic Council, uniquely, can do? He couldn't stop them before when he was more powerful than he is now as a 'Fallen' Star.
Aaravos' plan hinges on eventually getting the Stars' attention, and they are presumably still at their full power, just no longer involved with Xadia. He is seemingly never concerned, even when making the choice to live and plot against them, that the Stars would just kill him the way they did with Leola.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or maybe, perhaps, he already has a reason that they can't.
Tumblr media
As he collapses in tears at Leola's trial, Aaravos' chest star is complete and right side up. After, presumably, 100 years of weeping, his star is inverted and the centre piece is missing when the Merciful One comes to see him.
The reason I brought up self-eating is because we see it's used as a form of chasing immortality, even beyond what Kim'Dael does. I've long speculated that Aaravos purposefully carved out his chest piece, whether to place it in something or to help create dark magic. He may not have done anything with it, even if it was on purpose, but I wonder... if he ate it, in order to ensure that the Cosmic Council couldn't kill him.
This is especially noteworthy since from what we see of Leola's trial, her destructive glow begins in her chest star and then spreads to her fingers, and the destruction of Aaravos' mortal form is radically different.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This doesn't really make sense. Leola was destroyed while in her mortal form, given that moments before she'd been living and interacting with things on earth, just like her father. Aaravos' destruction stems from the bite mark at first, but then begins elsewhere that's entirely separate (the foot) and never broaches the hands. Leola becomes entirely light, while Aaravos' body seems to be shattered, and does bear a striking resemblance to how dark!Callum crumbles in the 2x08 dark magic nightmares.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Furthermore, when Leola is killed and her star energy is sent down (for lack of a better description), we do see a symbol of a star being inverted, despite that not being a part of her character design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also know that Aaravos' body being destroyed differently in 7x09 isn't due to dark magic use, at least not in terms of his body. As of season seven, he hadn't done any dark magic in his new body, which is a soft reset. However, we also know that dark magic affects your soul/spirit (6x06) which would, presumably, be the same no matter the body in this case. Therefore, the reason Aaravos' body might've crumbled (beyond differences in execution style) might be because of the dark magic he's used that created a permanent hole in his spirit/self, and one that Leola, of course did not have.
I also think some of this in my head is connecting to the ideas of sacrifice. Other characters, especially parents, can sacrifice themselves in TDP canon in hopes of a better future for their children / the next generation (the three queens, the archdragons, Harrow, etc). Aaravos divorcing himself from the ability to sacrifice himself, especially after thousands of years with no daughter to speak of (until Claudia, but on her in a second), purposefully robs himself from the ability to make a meaningful contribution to the cycle. Death, permanent death, provides meaning and consequence, both things he's seemingly devoid of.
Sacrificing his ability to die (his heart) and at least, in theory, reunite with his daughter / no longer exist without her to ensure he can 'avenge' her is a hell of a thing, after all. And on a certain level, that seems like his endgame goal regardless. Even if all the above speculation is untrue and wily, unless he can execute himself, in destroying/killing (?) all the other Startouch elves, he will be alone and eternal... forever, with no way out, carrying only the pain of his child's death and withering satisfaction at punishing her murderers, unless he decided to eventually change.
Like I said: a hell of a thing.

Opeli stared at the bir- her king for a long moment before turning back to Soren. "He's really... in there?" she asked, eyes flitting back to the bird as it preened.
"Yep," the blond said, gaze following her own to the bird perched on his shoulder.
"And is he... himself?"
"I dunno," Soren admitted, reaching out to stroke the bird's head. It ruffled it's feathers, rubbing it's beak against his finger. "That's why I brought him to you before... the others."
Ah. Callum and Ezran.
"Has he shown any signs of recognizing you?" she asked, leaning in for a closer look, as though King Harrow would suddenly emerge from the bird if she peered hard enough.
"I mean, he hasn't tried to fly away. But he could just be friendly."
"And you're certain that this is the correct bird?" Opeli checked again, glancing up at Soren.
"Uh huh," Soren gave a small nod. "Looks exactly like the picture Callum drew. And 'rare Xadian Songbirds' are, well, rare."
"I am aware," Opeli leaned back, looking the bird over again. Then giving Soren the same treatment. He had a bird now, and his hair had gotten longer. Much longer, it was now pulled into a messy bun on the back of his head. "Do you think he will recognize his sons?"
"I... I really hope so," Soren said, expression falling a little. "I was sort of hoping he would recognize you."
"Oh," Opeli considered for a moment, then reached her arm out hesitantly. "May I?"
Soren reached out, holding his arm out parallels with her own, bumping them slightly together. After a moment the bir- Harrow cocked his head to the side, considering her, and then began to sidle down Soren's arm. He placed first one talon onto Opeli's forearm and then the other, latching them around. She shivered as the little hooked ends of them latched into her robe.
Soren lowered his arm, leaving the king perched on her arm. Opeli carefully brought him level with her face. "King Harrow?"
The bird twittered.
"King Harrow, it is a pleasure to see you again. I was relieved to hear of your survival," Opeli addressed the piercing, green avian eyes, feeling somewhat foolish but not sure what else to do. "And I am so glad Soren was able to find you. He has become Captain, in your absence. But I am sure he already informed you of that."
When Harrow said nothing, she continued. "Many things have changed during your absence, but Katolis has- Well," she stopped, glancing at Soren. "Have you told him?"
He shook his head, "I wasn't sure if he was listening and I wasn't... I wasn't sure how." He glanced down, a few loose strands of hair falling across his face. She knew Katolis was an open wound for him still, even now.
Opeli took a deep breath, "The castle, it was destroyed," she told her king, "But Soren managed to get most everyone to safety. The people, your people, are alive because of him."
She saw Soren look up out of the corner of her eye and gave him a little smile before continuing, "Ki- Prince Ezran," the switch felt strange on her tongue, "has led them very well. I believe you would be proud."
Harrow twittered loudly, then, at the sound of the name. Flapping his wings and nearly startling Opeli into dropping him. Soren's head shot up fully and they both stared at him.
"Ezran?" Opeli repeated. The bird reacted similarly, glancing about. Then he stared at her, green eyes bright and intent. It opened it's beak as though to speak-
Leaned in, and pecked her on the nose. Opeli let out a surprised gasp and Soren chuckle. She let out a small laugh before regaining her composure, staring back into Harrow's eyes, "It's him."
"What, has King Harrow pecked you before?" Soren asked, giving her a perplexed look.
"No, I-" Opeli glanced at him. "Soren, did you really think the King of Katolis pecked me?"
"I dunno," Soren shrugged, "Just asking."
She shook her head, returning her attention to the King of Katolis, perched on her arm. "He recognized Ezran's name," the bird once again perked up, staring at her intently, "And he has the same sense of humor."
"So he has pecked you. Weird."
"That's not what I-" Opeli let out an exasperated sigh. "Let us just bring him to the others. He'll want to see his sons. And they'll want to see him."
"Yeah. Why don't you carry him? He seems to like you," Soren said, leading the way into the hall.
Opeli followed him, watching the bird preening on her arm and wondering what decisions she'd made that had landed her here, in this moment. With the King of Katolis perched on her arm.

TDP theories time!
These are all about Aaravos!
Y’all remember in Season 3 when Aaravos killed Khessa by practically vaporizing her with just a slip of his finger?
Tumblr media
And in Season 4, when Zubeia was telling Ezran and Rayla about Aaravos and about how Luna Tenebrus mysteriously died? And when we watch the backstory sequence we see her disappear just like that? What if the way he killed Khessa was the same exact way he killed Luna? 😩😭
Moving on from that, I know there’s differing views on how Aaravos would be able to corrupt/possess Callum ranging from him needing Callum to use dark magic again to the fact that he has other ways to corrupt like he did with getting Pharos bit by the star caterpillar.
Thinking back to Season 5 with the corrupted banthers and how even a scratch from them would result in corruption really got me thinking. WHAT IF AARAVOS COULD JUST CORRUPT CALLUM WITH JUST A SCRATCH!! 😭😭
Heck, I’m scared that even him just laying a finger on Callum and just touching him could be enough at this point. 😭😫
Especially after seeing him released from his prison and literally being a whole freaking titan, coupled with seeing what he did to Khessa and all of Lux Aurea while he was still imprisoned, I’m really terrified of what this startouch elf will be capable of now that he’s free 😭😫

In arc 3 I believe that Rayla and Callum’s relationship will be tested immeasurably… because Virens heart was tainted with darkness and it costed him his relationship. Claudia’s heart was tainted with darkness and it costed her her relationship.
Callum’s currently got his heart tainted… and it may cost him his relationship with Rayla. That would also be why Kosmo and Astrid kept saying to “find your one truth” which as we know is Rayla.
If Callum has someone to keep fighting for he’ll get through the dark magic corruption.. if she’s not there he has nothing to loose as long as it goes by his morals in saving the world.

Okay I think I've spoke about this before but here we go again lads. (I might be reaching here so if this makes zero fucking sense plz don't tell me 😭) So in S1 E5 (I think) Runaan is in the dungeon and Viren shows him the mirror. Runaan states that Viren has found a fate worse than death. Now, since Runaan was tasked by Zubeia herself to kill Harrow and Ez, it could be speculated that he has some sort of a history with her and Avizandum. Now obviously it seems that he knows of Aaravos being trapped in the mirror, but what if he also knew (thru Avizandum and Zubeia) the story of Leola? And how Aaravos's prison would be torturous, seeing how his prison is his home. The home that he most likely raised Leola in. The place she died. What if Runaan was also referring to the fact that he (Aaravos) has to live hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions of years without his daughter. What if that was the fate worse than death? (It would be for me)

I have a theory so spoilers ahead
are the startouch elves gone? dead? left everything behind somehow?
because if they were that attentive to leola’s tiny little action that would disturb the cosmic order, why are they silent on everything that happened now?
claudia is doing things that nobody was capable of before, aaravos literally needed to be imprisoned many years ago, then got out of his prison, corrupted the sun, let out the dead souls into the world, got 3 arch dragons killed
“are you watching?” i wonder if they actually exist anymore
anyway long post, sorry about that, curious what you think (if i am wrong and they said something about that tell me)

New Theory Unlocked: Arc Three picks up after a seven year time skip, but before that happens we get a comic about Terry, Soren, and Corvus going to find Bird!Harrow and bring him back. Potentially also making Sorvus a thing on this quest.
Like how Arc Two had a timeskip, but we got Through the Moon to explain important events that took place before we jumped ahead.

Aaravos Thought and Overall Trailer Thoughts
Hello Everyone, I just thought about the new Dragon Prince Trailer and about Aaravos.
T.W/Tags - This post will contain spoilers of Season 7 Dragon Prince Official Trailer that just recently came out. If you have not watched the trailer or do not want to read spoilers, I suggest you scroll on! You have been warned!
Dragon Prince Season 7 Trailer Thoughts:
First off, that was a really good trailer and not going to lie, some feelings of nostalgia and sadness came up(especially with the old footages presented).
I hope they give us an arc three and it gets approved.
With those two thoughts out of the way, time to get into the main reason for this post: Aaravos 😁!
In the trailer, the first we hear about Aaravos is that he wants to bring about "eternal night". This is an interesting choose of diction or word choice because it is not eternal darkness, it is eternal night. Night =/= Darkness. The night is filled with speckles of light(stars) and one giant bulb of light(the moon).
Now this could reveal three things or possible theories.
One, it shows that on some level Aaravos still does care about people, especially humanity. The best way to still control situations and groups of people is by giving them some level of choice or hope in the matter. If you go not give people hope or some level of autonomy, they most likely do not do well and more often than not give up or resent that person. This does not seem like something Aaravos would want. Besides, the manipulation stand point, it also shows on some level that Aaravos is a person with feelings and motivations, he doesn't want people to not go into despair like he did, when the Star Council condemed Leola.
The second thing with this "eternal night" is that he wants the Stars to witness. He also probably wants to the moon or more specially the Moonshadow elves to witness. As besides Sol Regem, Sun is now changing and is more tolerant of what is happening(with Humans getting magic and living alongside them). From what we have seen from the show, the other elves for the most part seem accepting of humans having magic(so long as it is not dark and even then that is complicated issue) and like having humans by their side. I know what you are saying....What does this have to do with the moon? Well, the Moonshadow elves are the only species of elves that still cling to the old ways and have not really changed(Expect for Rayla). So, in a way, the Moon might be a symbolism to the Moonshadow elves. Basically, "you Moonshadow elves crave order so much and I am against that, so witness the chaos all around. Let us see what you guys will do or choose?"
Lastly, the "eternal night" might be a homage to Leola. He doesn't want to shut down the stars, because doing so, Leola would also cease to exist in a sense. In addition, Moon deals with reflection and ghosting, further silicifying that he is doing all of this for Leola and her ghost that she left behind(Aaravos - a shell of his former self, suppose to live on without her).
Speaking of Moon and the "rising of the undead", this former adds to Aaravos's detestment of Order in any of its form. It also plays into Aaravos, having been haunted for years and stuck in a prison(much like his pervious home and trapped in the tears he created to Leola's dead corpse), he is a ghost in a sense. He is "haunted and can not move on because he still has business in this realm". The ghost he brings back, according to some of the trailer footage is dragons and people that our protagonists knew, further adding that haunting element. He wants them to feel the same pain he felt, confronting the dead and having to live with the choices they make.
The rising of the undead and the chaos all around is also a symbolism for his mind. Now, I am going to little outreach, but stay with me. I know MBTI, as I have taken the test multiple of times and took a personality class in college as a Psych minor. Having studied this topic in depth, most XNTJ or XNFJ, have lower Se in their stack and have higher Ni. For those who do not the functions, Ni is introverted intuition, it is a gathering of information function and it is where most XNTJ/XNFJ's get their insights and aha moments as we see the bigger picture of things, engage more with the abstract and recognize patterns(among other things). Se is also a information gathering function, but it involves your 5 senses, being aware of the present moment, having an appreciation for the finer things in life, often very movement and environment based and feels strong intense emotions to situations. What I am getting at here is that Aaravos, according to my thoughts is an ENTJ. He has Ni higher than Se, but it is not so much lower like it would be for INTJ's or INFJ's.
This rising of the undead, plays into both functions. Aaravos with the haunting and ghost symbolism, as well as distain for any order(even the rise of the undead is seen as breaking the natural order of things) can seen as him using Ni. However, in doing so and creating destruction and chaos all around without a care or regard for others, who would undoubtedly be hurt in the process because of his intense emotions regrading Leola's death, left him to be very unhealthy mentally and coping-wise. Basically, this is reflected in his environment as many XNTJ's and XNFJ's can tell you that when we are feeling really bad and stressed, we kind of indulge into Se and sometimes that can be seen in the environment. There are of course healthy ways to deal with stress and bad moments, but we are talking about unhealthy because Aaravos is an unhealthy individual since the loss of Leola. I can explain more in the comments, if asked, but I think this should suffice in getting what I want to say across.
Lastly, I find it ironic that he hates order so much and in all forms, yet forms plans with backup plans(those backup plans have plans).... 🤭
That is all I have for now and Thank you to coming to my Tedtalk.
I hope you guys enjoy this post and I look forward to seeing season 7!
Let me guys know what you guys think in the comment section or add some of your theories.

the Jurassic World shows are actually pretty cheap, they're much more like TDP where they have like. TV budget zero money cause all the dino models are ones they got for free from the company that does the CGI for the movies. BUT since it's so cheap it's more likely to get renewed yippee!
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has five seasons with a total of 49 episodes.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has two seasons with 10 episodes each and has been renewed for a third season.
This info is to say that Netflix' animated series having more than seven seasons is possible, the Jurassic World series got a lot views yes but TDP was in TOP Kids so, yeah hope is not lost and Arc 3 is possible

Since The Dragon Prince is ending (or at least the second arc is ending) in December I'll celebrate that by listing the funniest things I've witnessed in the fandom during these years:
-The Great Aaravos Thirst of 2019.
-Knowing The Thirst™ had been even greater if Tumblr wouldn't have banned porn just a year earlier.
-Aaravos' character designer being very happy with all the thirst posting.
-The Great Virst of 2019 that was balanced out by the people who thought Viren was a total troll.
-Rayla-Claudia-Callum love triangle speculations before s3.
-"Viren actually killed everyone, including Sarai and his ex-wife", speculations during s1-3.
-Aaravos Is A Good Person and a cinnamon roll -speculations.
-Fandom calling Ethari "The Tinker" before his name was revealed and also correctly predicting him and Runaan being a couple long before it got confirmed.
-Jason Simpson (Viren's VA) being grumpy about people shipping Aaravos and Viren while Todd Erik Dellums (Aaravos's VA) egged the fans on and seemed to find the ship pretty funny.
-After the Midnight Star poem's full English translation got released some fans concluded that Elarion was a human girl Aaravos once was in love with and thus Elavos was born. You can still search the ship name on Tumblr to experience the time campsule of 2019 era of the fandom. Yes, people shipped Aaravos with a literal city and I think that's beautiful.
-The drought period of 2019-2022 hiatus where it was just a couple really weird terminally online fans posting their harmless headcanons, including a small fandom of a. ten people forming around Viren's ex-wife Lissa.
-Unhinged TDP fan theories like "Aaravos is Callum's Dad" and "Callum will learn every primal source" aka wanting TDP to be Avatar 2.0 but with elves.
-The fan response that parodied these theories including "Everyone is a Startouch elf, especially Bait"
-The Great FartGate of 2022 aka all of TDP Twitter collectively complaining about the fart jokes in s4.
-These 2024 Valentine's Day posts most likely done by the lead writer Devon Giehl.
-If you search Aaravos on Google the most frequently asked question is about his gender.
-TDP wiki gleefully listing Aaravos and Viren as Sir Sparklepuff's parents after s5.
-The fandom never letting go of the "Viren imprisoned Harrow in Pip" theory.
-Which Primal Source Are You -Quiz from 2018 foreshadowing events of the show like "where would you hide a dangerous magical object" and one of the answers being "in the bottom of the sea" possibly referring to Aaravos' pearl.
-A tweet fans thought was a mistake actually foreshadowed Aaravos being a giant.
I'll add more later if I feel like it.
edit:
ok one more: behold, one of the most popular TDP posts on Tumblr

Arc 3 Predictions Electric Boogaloo
Because there's certain stuff that makes a Lot more sense now even as we're left with more questions, so let's talk about it.
Aaravos and the Cosmic Order / Claudia
So Aaravos wanted to take down the elves and dragons. Now the archdragons are all gone circa S7, which means he can hit the ground running upon his return in seven years. This means that the next target can fully be the Cosmic Council outright, and more recontextualization about how creating Eternal Night would make them suffer (though I don't think he'll repeat plans).
I could see him giving instructions / ideas to Claudia through dreams or visions, and she's armed with her amulet in the meantime and will maybe track down a replacement staff since she doesn't have one anymore. (Or she'll want to steal it back from Callum since it was a product of both her 'fathers'.) Other antagonists such as Finnegrin (maybe) and Kim'Dael (more definitely) will likely be interwoven.
That said, I think there'll be plenty of conflict already for our protagonists to deal with even before any of our old foes show up again.
Aanya + the Fire Ruby Project / Ezran & Zym
Tumblr media
With the arrows temporarily able to dispose of Aaravos (even if I mandate he let himself get chained down in 7x07 in order to manipulate Ezran) and his imminent return, Ez and Aanya have an incentive to keep going with Project Ruby Fire. However, we also know thanks to interviews that Aanya has an adoptive brother, and from Tales of Xadia that:
The city is more fortified of late, as there are rumours of internal treason. The farmers worry that young Queen Aanya isn’t old enough or wise enough to protect what’s been built over the centuries.
So what I'm thinking is that adoptive brother Grark may pull a Karim and work on the project behind his sister's back or stage a coup. This could also put Ezran at odds with Zym, as Project Ruby Fire was designed specifically to be good at defeating dragons and to be so destructive that the mere threat of them would be enough (but, of course like the Mage Wars, someone's gonna use it). Having deeper, more politically / personally driven conflicts between Ezran and Zym (he had conflict with one brother, and now another) is also possible now that Zym can speak, and I think they'll take full advantage of it.
Tumblr media
Ez and Zym together have always represented Hope the most (3x06), as Ezran found the egg, they're the two young princes turned kings, and are spearheading things forward.
Tumblr media
So what happens if/when they start to crack? This could also provide a contrast to Janai and Amaya, as their new nieces/nephews through Miyana and Karim could provide a conflict. Even though the kids themselves will be too young and Miyana convinced to walk a different path, that doesn't mean they won't be used or treated as symbols by somebody else to sow more conflict.
Evrkynd and Elarion
The choice to establish a new city to show the growing unity between elves and dragons makes sense, but it made me wonder why do it now and not as an end-of-arc 3 idea. Then I considered that perhaps it's to set up Everkynd as an Elarion parallel: a glistening, shining city, where after it fell the land was divided and more chaos ensued.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only Evrkynd will emerge and stand the test of time, of course, with the connection between the two halves being maintained and strengthened. But still, a thought I'll probably have something more eloquent for later.
Callum, Corruption, and the Cube (+ Rayla)
Was thinking over 6x06's "the darkness and corruption will overwhelm you" in addition to the choice in S6 to establish that Callum's father died of a chronic illness / the consistent comparison to dark magic as a plague/infection/sickness (2x08, 5x01, 5x03, 5x04, 5x09, etc). The options I'd considered for how the corruption would manifest post usage usually fell into two camps: instantaneous and complete, or gradual and ongoing. I'd thought the second one would be interesting for a mid-season dark magic use, speculating it'd be like the shadowmonsters in taking a few days or longer for something to take.
I certainly didn't think it'd be a process over Years, but given the seven year timeskip...
I'm picturing something like Callum still taking mushroom salves or potions regularly from Muhko (hence that inclusion for Zubeia) to stave off corruption overwhelm, and giving him parallels to Damian. This would also potentially enhance the feeling of "living on borrowed time" he and everyone, but him and Rayla in particular, are bound to feel as they know they have Limited Time before Aaravos comes back.
I'm also curious as to how openly or how much Callum will be studying dark magic, even in comparison to before ("Well, I've read a lot about it"). He has Viren-Claudia's relic staff, and the corrupted sun stone within it, so there could be interesting ideas or experiments there. The fact that Callum has the Staff and the Cube and the white streak does not bode well for him.
An additional assumption is that Callum will go to Elarion offscreen (cause that is a Long skip) but be unable to find what he's unknowingly looking for (the primal magic book?). I also don't think at this point I have to go into much more detail about CHET given that we've been here with the theory for 4 years, and pieces of evidence at the time that felt like a stretch are now being incorporated, such as:
The Cube pointing to Elarion, which was incredibly important to ancient humanity and Aaravos
Elarion poem is associated with nature (flowers of elarion) and dark-light motif
Rayla is Callum's light in the darkness and his destructive path. She was prepared to destroy him (7x09) and will likely save him in the future.
The flowers of Elarion were involved in a story where they were seen as gifts / "fair exchanges of beloved for beloved". Then Rayla, by Aaravos' own word, was described as Callum's "beloved" (7x09).
The entire conversation with Dark!Callum and the cube in the woods in 7x06 but especially "If you love her, you'll be the you that can save her" and "I have always been a part of you."
Basically: it's not over till the cube is plot relevant and all the foreshadowing / lines of dialogue surrounding it have come full circle in some manner. In Arc 3 we trust.
Misc Predictions / Ideas
that didn't belong anywhere else!
Given that we know Aanya has her older brother and Prince Kasef has a younger sibling, I think it'd be interesting if they teamed up to try and stage mutual coups or something.
Since the archdragons are gone, I'm curious what project ruby fire would be used against. Maybe just other dragons? Or invoking stuff from the past mage wars.
More info on the relic staffs and self-eating I think for sure can be expected, as well as what happened to make Kpp'Ar completely change his mind.
I'm expecting S8 to be catch up and set up much the way that S1 and S4 were.
There are river pirates between Duren and Neolandia (Tales of Xadia) so I could see Finnegrin being woven back in there, although I'd love to go back to Scumport and see any changes Elmer has made.
Kim'Dael feels like a 2 season antagonist to me, in order to reintroduce her (maybe Aaravos inverting the Moon Nexus set her free) and then to draw on her history with the Moon Fam (Bloodmoon Huntress graphic novel).
A lot more lore on the Startouch elves / I'm fairly certain Shiruakh was a star devourer dragon
Aaravos making the Cosmic Council mortal, etc etc.

S7 is coming - what next?
After December 19, the TDP that we have expected to receive will be complete: seven seasons, as ordered by Netflix. So what can the TDP fandom do with our time after that?
Obviously, we want arc 3! So, what can we do about that?
TELL NETFLIX
Request TDP Seasons 8-10 via the Netflix online title request form. You don't need an account to use this feature, and you can use it more than once.
KEEP ACTIVE IN FANDOM
Stay in touch with other fans and mutuals, chat in the official discord, reblog fanmade treats of all kinds, record watch videos and reviews, and be a part of our healthy fandom.
HASHTAGS
#give us the saga, #continue the saga, #the dragon prince, #netflix are your friends! Use the tags on your tdp posts!
FANMADE CONTENT
write fics!
draw art!
create or participate in fan events!
make amvs for your fave characters/ships!
write theory posts!
make memes and gifsets!
collate playlists!
do rewatch parties!
And if you know an actual kid, see if they want to watch it with you - we all have a formative show that shaped us. Maybe TDP will be theirs!
Be patient!
TDP's arc 2 wasn't greenlit by Netflix until about 8 months after S3 dropped, and we didn't get S4 for two years after that. We shouldn't count on instant results or feel let down by a lack of news. Let the groundswell build!
