“A service that will be instrumental in taking the heart comes before the dhikr and the muraqabah on the road to Allah. Some (of them) think that busying oneself with nafl worship is superior. Whereas proving the heart with inspiration, is serving others for Allah.
Service, is from the fundamental procedures of tasavvuf and at the same time one of its goals. Sufis, have greatly valued that a person is unsatisfied with his own peace, that he also thinks of others and helps them. This comprehension of help is very wide. Taking the heart of someone, helping with one of his affairs, solving one of his difficulties, teaching something is included in this.”

New Video: Teesra Ilm Kya Hai? | Sufi Master Younus AlGohar | ALRA TV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoMFKLdyhLs
There are different types of knowledge one must attain in order to achieve spiritual elevation. The first knowledge is Shariah (the Law) which is to purify your body and lower self. The second knowledge is Tariqah (the Path) which is to awaken, enlighten and strengthen the inner spiritual faculty. But, there is a third knowledge: Haqiqah (the Truth). Sufi Master Younus AlGohar elucidates on the third knowledge and what it entails.

I just wish someone could write me a comprehensive plan to help me become a better Muslim.
I want a 30-days-to-better-khushoo calendar. Day 1, watch this video to understand the true meaning of Allahu Akbar. Think about it in every prayer.
I want 3-months-to-loving-Allah. Day 1, read this article about the name of Allah, Al Rahman. Write a 300 word response about a time when Allah protected you from something bad. Write about what could have happened had Allah not protected you. Say “astaghfirullah” 1000 times today. Read the morning and evening athkar for the next week.
Idk. There are so many habits I’ve tried to build but they seem impossible. I want someone to tell me, step by step, how I can make them forever habits.

Shāykh Al-Islām Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhāb رحمه الله,
‼️ “Reviver of the East and the West, Not Only “Najd/Saudi Arábīa”‼️
The reviver, the Mujâddid, Shāykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb not only cleansed the Gulf of grave worshipping mushrîkīn but also eradicated apparent shirk and kufr from its roots. He heavily influenced the famous sufi Shāykh As-Sanūsi who was left amazed to see the sparkling results of the efforts of the dā'wāh of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb in Makkāh, so much so that he began cleansing the Sanūsi Sūfi order from so many heretical beliefs and the "Zâwāya" practices where the sūfis worshippers used to stick to the corners of the rooms abandoning all work and other muslims used to come and seek Barâkâh from these worshippers.
Algerian disciple of Ahmad ibn Idrīs and founder of the Sanūsi Sūfi tariqah, Muhammad Ibn Alī As Sanūsi, after being influenced by the dā'wâh of Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb, transformed this Zâwāya system into universities (madrasā's) where they started seeking knowledge of Qur'ān and the Sunnâh and started diminishing their practices of seeking of help from the shrines and as As Sanūsi himself states, he wanted to bring his people out from darkness to light, from humiliation to honor and from cowardice to bravery.
After his teacher, Muhammad Ibn Idrīs died, As-Sanūsi moved to Libyā, established his madrasā's over there and they all began teaching. This led to a revival strong enough from total quietism to preventing the Europeans from capturing and exporting slaves to Europe.
To sum up, he was a reformist and revivalist who, after studying in Faîz and Mecca, advocated return to the Qur'ān, Sunnâh, and the practice of ijtîhād. Rejected legal principles of ijmā, qiyas, and taqlīd. Promoted quietist mode of dhikr and meditation. Rejected inclusion of music and dancing in Sūfi practice but permitted popular practices honoring saints. Tried to establish a theocratic state by peaceful means in Libyā. Encouraged missionary activities, particularly in West and Central Afrīca. Developed the zâwiyāh (Sufi Lodge system ) into a center for agriculture, education, and worship.
Like this, so much of the Senusīyyâh Sūfi order was cleansed of heterical unislāmic practices and Khūrâfāt.
Just an year before the death of As Sanūsi in 1859 was born the one who is known as the "Lion of the desert" or the "Shaykhush Shuhâdā", the mujhāhid, ʿOmar al-Mukhtār of Libyā who was completely influenced by As Sanūsi tarīqâh and killed by hanging by the Itâlìan colonisers.
So, the whole Ummâh is indepted to Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb in a way, for his revival was not only confined to the call back to the Qur'ān and Sunnāh, to tawhīdify and cleanse shirk and kufr, but also the De-Murjificātion of the majority of sections of the ummâh who had become cowards because of various Sūfi tarīqās and had forgotten what rising and fighting for legitimate rights means in Islām.
So, in short, the revival flow is like :
Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb (influenced)
🔽
Muhammad bin Alī As-Sanūsi (influenced)
🔽
ʿOmar al-Mukhtār, the Mujāhid.
He was indeed a reviver of the East and the West, not only "Najd" as his haters always love to label.
May Allāh forgive his shortcomings and may Allāh make the ummâh see the Mujâddid Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhāb with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and his companions in the hereafter.

What is Bektashism?
Bektashism: The first thing that comes to mind when Alawism is mentioned is Bektashism. Actually, Bektashism is a tariqah-religious order-that is believed to have been founded by Hajji Bektash Wali. However, Bektashism can be called Alawism as its followers are attached to the basic principles of Alawism like affection for Hadrat Ali and the Family of The Prophet, loving the ones who love the Family of the Prophet and not loving the ones who do not love them. In Turkey, while every Bektashi is Alawi, not every Alawi is necessarily Bektashi, although they regard Hajji Bektash as the Horosan Saint, and respect him. For this reason, there is a division of Rural Bektashism and Urban Bektashism; while the former is called Alawi, the latter is called Bektashi.
According to the Alawi writer Rıza Zelyut, there is no difference between Bektashism and Alawism. He thinks that Hajji Bektashi Wali is a great master of Anatolian Alawism. In general, he did not create a way or tariqah peculiar to himself. The great master is Alawi. In this respect, the expression Bektashism is wrong. The Bektashis he calls Dervish Bektashis are also Alawi and have small differences among each other.
We think that there has arisen a difference between Alawism and Bektashism especially since the sixteenth century. Some current differences are as follows: Although the basic beliefs of both groups resemble one another, their social structures are different. While Alawis are the groups that have generally come from tribes and lived in rural places for centuries, Bektashis are groups that live in towns and that are generally educated. Although both of the groups love and regard Hajji Bektashi Wali, Alawis are attached to the lodges of Dervishes that they believe have come from the lineage of the Prophet, not the Lodge of Hajji Bektash. Actually, as Bektashism is a tariqah, everyone who sticks to the way of this tariqah can be a Bektashi. However, Alawism depends on lineage and only the one whose parents are Alawi can be an Alawi himself.
Haslok mentions such a distinction concerning belief between Alawis and Bektashis: While Alawis claim that they are attached to the Fifth Imam Muhammad Bakr, Bektashis claim that they are attached to the Sixth Imam Jafar-i Sadik as their master. Besides these, there are also some other differences.

Salaam! I'm not the anon who asked but I am sooo thankful for your answer. I never knew what to think of it (first I was like "thats a lie he wouldnt" to "ok so i learned underage marriage was super common but he wouldnt. Even if he did he wouldnt with someone so young" and just distanced myself till i found a credible muslim source in good faith explain it. I genuinely cant wrap my mind around it bc on 1 hand, he's said to be perfect & we should emulate him and on the other, WHYYYYYYY? Political marriage/alliance/ or whatever, I feel like there couldve been anything else done (assistant, scribe, student, LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE)
They way I see it is that we only have to adhere to his word when Allah spoke through him, not the rest of his life
and the Nizari Ismaili Shia Tariqah teaches that things have and should have evolved and changed since the time of the prophet

Sufism is the mystical side of Islam, focused on developing a deep, personal connection with God through love, devotion, and inner purification. While Islam as a whole follows religious laws and practices (like prayer, fasting, and charity), Sufis go beyond these outward actions, seeking to experience God's presence directly in their hearts.
Key Aspects of Sufism:
Love for God:
Sufis believe that true spirituality comes from love—love for God, love for creation, and love for others. They see God not just as a distant ruler but as the ultimate Beloved, and they seek to draw closer to Him.
Inner Journey (Tariqah):
The word tariqah means "path" and refers to the spiritual journey a Sufi takes to purify their heart, remove selfish desires, and become more aware of God's presence. This path is often guided by a spiritual teacher (a shaykh).
Dhikr (Remembrance of God):
Sufis practice dhikr, which means "remembrance of God." This can involve repeating God's names, chanting prayers, or meditating in silence to focus the heart and soul on God.
Symbolism & Poetry:
Sufism is rich in poetry and symbolism. The famous Persian poet Rumi was a Sufi, and his poetry expresses themes of divine love and the soul’s longing for God. Many Sufi poets use metaphors like wine (for spiritual intoxication) and the lover-beloved relationship to describe their connection with God.
Whirling Dervishes & Music:
Some Sufi groups use music, dance, and poetry as forms of worship. The Whirling Dervishes (of the Mevlevi order) spin in a meditative dance called Sama, which symbolizes the soul’s journey toward divine love.
Universal Love & Tolerance:
Sufis emphasize compassion, kindness, and seeing the divine in all people. They often focus less on religious rules and more on the heart’s purity and sincerity.
Misconceptions:
Some people mistake Sufism for a separate religion, but it's actually a part of Islam.
Some strict religious scholars criticize Sufism for its mystical practices, but Sufis see themselves as following the deeper spiritual teachings of Islam.
At its core, Sufism teaches that the purpose of life is to love God, know God, and be transformed by that love—until nothing remains in the heart except divine light.

What is a better term to use for the spiritual science — Taṣawwuf or Zuhd?
Q. What is better? Should We say that I’m trying to practice tasawuf Or I’m trying to practice zuhd? Cause in today’s time when one says I’m practicing tasawuf, they are not practicing the tariqah of Imams like Abdul Qadir Al Jeeli, Al junayd, Hasan Al basri(May allah bless them All) Or the tariqah of Imam Ahl-us-sunnah Imam ahmed as he has himself mentioned his Tariqah in his book kitab-az-Zuhd.…

SULTAN SALAHUDDiN AL-AYYUBi (1137-1193), also known as Saladin or Yusuf ibn Ayyub, was the founder and first Sultan of the Ayyubid Dynasty that spanned from Egypt and Syria to Mecca and Medina. Most notably, he liberated Al-Quds, Palestine (Jerusalem) by defeating the Crusaders in 1187 (Palestine would remain free for over 700 years until it was invaded by Britain in 1917, leading to the creation of the State of Israel). He wielded a curved sword, made of the mysterious Damascus Steel, that is known to be one of the sharpest and most durable swords ever constructed. There were multiple assassination attempts on his life and none of them were successful. Salahuddin was renowned for his kindness, mercy, and generosity, even by his enemies. He spared the lives of the Christian dwellers of Al-Quds even though the Crusaders had slain the Muslims and the Jews. He kept giving his wealth away to the poor and needy, until there wasn’t even enough left to pay for his own funeral by the time he died. Salahuddin adhered strictly to Sunni Islam and was a follower of the Qadiri Sufi Order (Tariqah Qadiriyah), reciting its Awrad every day.
On his deathbed, someone asked him, “Oh Ayyubi, you are a great warrior of Islam. You have been fighting in the path of Allah for such a long time, but you weren’t martyred. You weren’t blessed with martyrdom,”
Salahuddin replied, “Throughout my life, I was yearning to be martyred in the path of Allah. But did you know that the sword of the enemy could not touch my neck?”
He continued, “In my childhood, my father took me to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani [descendant of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and founder of the Qadiri Sufi Order] and Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani placed his hand on my neck. How could the sword of the enemy touch my neck when my neck was touched by the blessed hands of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ?”

*JUMA MUBARAK*🌹
