The air is unbearably thick tonight. Potent. Sticky.
You slip through the crowd of chittering alien courtiers, concluding the only thing that will grant you reprieve from Sakaar’s never-ending bacchanalia is a nice, long bath.
Dodging a purring hologram of the celestial who rules this bizarre realm, you wonder if anyone else ever grows tired of it – too much of a good thing or whatever. The unexpected pivot lands you in the middle of the throne room, and your eyes traitorously fall on the charming newcomer standing at the edge of the Grandmaster’s dais.
The one they call Loki, although you doubt that’s his true name.
You’re well aware of the rumors, having started many of them yourself. Of course, it has absolutely nothing to do with envy and everything to do with boredom. At least, that’s what you tell yourself as each exceedingly outlandish lie leaves your lips and falls upon greedy ears.
All you know for certain is that Loki is the bane of your existence after snaking his way into the high order’s inner circle and winning the favor of the Grandmaster within days – effectively disrupting the long con you’ve painstakingly exacted these past years and swiftly replacing it with one of his own.
And even though you hate that you recognize something familiar in him, you concede he is quite the gifted rogue. Executing each stratagem with ease. Imparting every countermove so effortlessly.
It’s maddening. He’s maddening.
His voice carries over the uproarious mix of music and chatter, regaling his audience with an undoubtedly embellished tale. And now he’s summoned your attentions, too. Dark curls rest gracefully atop pewter pauldrons, a garish blend of sapphire and citrine draping over his lean, leather-clad form. Cunning and handsome. The nerve of it all.
You glance at your own flamboyant attire. Beneath your bodice, an iridescent swirl of vermilion and silver flows to your ankles. You look like flayed salmon. But, if it pleases the Grandmaster…
Loki’s boisterous laugh shakes you from your thoughts and he turns on his heel, catching your unwary gaze. You ignore the stutter of your heart and the warm tingling in your core, instead focusing on how his regal brow furrows and his forced smile falls. But, as the facade quickly returns and he excuses himself from the revelry, his eyes – never breaking from your own – spark with intensity.
You have to get out of here. Now.
Ducking behind a group of faceless creatures, you shuffle along the gilded perimeter of the room, adrenaline coursing through your veins. The din of the party echoes off the walls, the unrelenting buzz pulsing in your temples and settling in the crevices of your mind. The discomfort results in a moment of hesitation, and you glance over your shoulder, but Loki vanishes into the crowd.
A portal to your left beckons with a soft, mechanical hum and you exhale, walking through the opening.
“Leaving so soon? I do hope I’m not the cause of your early departure.”
It takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the glaringly bright corridor, but there he is, just ahead, leaning against the hexagonal archway, a satisfied smirk on his infuriatingly gorgeous face.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” you lie, squaring your shoulders and continuing your journey to the elevators.
“Things were getting a bit monotonous,” he offers, effortlessly falling in step beside you. “And I always find a nice, long bath invigorating after, well, after anything really.”
His words cause your feet to falter slightly – surely he can’t… but what if? Thoughts whirring, you frantically push the salacious image of Loki disrobing and stepping into a bath from your mind.
“I take it you agree,” he taunts, opening the control panel next to the elevator. “Which level?”
“71X-P.” What an ass.
Loki punches the code for the top-level suites, muttering something under his breath.
“I beg your pardon?” you ask, stepping into the small space as the partition opens. The two of you ascend into the darkened sky – the jagged, glimmering expanse of the city on the other side of the glass shrinking beneath you.
“Oh,” he says. “I was unaware we reside in the same wing of this so-called palace. How fortuitous.”
“Indeed.” The word comes out more biting than intended.
Loki tuts. “I’m beginning to think you don’t like me very much.”
You perch on the guardrail, refusing to give him more than a playful roll of your eyes before pretending to inspect your nails.
“But perhaps that’s just another of your machinations?” Loki hums, a mask of feigned contemplation crawling across his face as he stalks closer. Widening his stance, he cages you against the unyielding windowpane with his arms.
“Loki,” you warn, the warmth in your hips flaring back to life like embers reigniting beneath a thin layer of ash. Can he sense how wildly your heart is beating?
“Ah, so you do know my name. Although I must admit, darling, I’ve grown fond of the Serpent of Sakaar.”
He knows. He knows, and now what? Will he convince the Grandmaster to order a fight between you and his beloved champion? Or perhaps he’ll have you evicted from the palace? A life out there with the scrappers might be the only thing worse than a life in here under the thumb of a deranged celestial.
Everything is moving too fast, yet time stands still. Such is the way on Sakaar. Your stomach drops, settling somewhere beneath your feet as the lift reverses its trajectory, plummeting you towards a fate you aren’t prepared for. Yet a quick glance through the glass confirms you’re still steadily climbing up, up–
“You know, you’re quite…” Loki pauses, tracing the pattern of the silver cuff adorning your bicep with his forefinger. The rapid cadence of your breath cuts through the charged air, entwining with the weight of his gaze as it locks onto your parted lips.
When his eyes flit back to yours, the striking green of his irises is nearly eclipsed by his expanding pupils. “Clever.”
“I- I’m not sure what you mean.”
“Ah, but you do. And I must express my sincerest gratitude. Everyone here is so curious about my origins.” Loki raises an eyebrow, his fingertips ghosting a trail up your arm and across your collarbone. “And your crafty little rumors created the perfect illusion in which to hide. Even En Dwi Gast himself believes the stories to be true.”
“I find the best lies are the ones shrouded in truth,” you retort, regaining a modicum of composure when Loki’s jaw twitches at your subtle accusation.
“Such awful words from such sweet lips,” he says with an impish grin, brushing the back of his fingers along your jaw before tilting your face upwards — so close, too close, to his own.
“And do you think me wicked?” you say breathlessly, resting your hands on his shoulders.
“No more so than I consider myself,” he replies, the pad of his thumb tugging at your bottom lip. It’s a lie of omission, but as his cool breath fans over your heated skin, you realize you don’t care if his words hold truth or not.
Loki’s nose nudges yours, and any lingering apprehension fades away, an unfamiliar sensation enveloping you. It’s intoxicating and comforting and sets your skin aflame in each place his lips make contact – first the corner of your mouth, then just beneath your jaw, down the column of your throat, and back up again.
“You’re divine,” he murmurs, and you understand what it is you’re feeling. Intimacy.
His lips finally connect with yours and you melt into the kiss, curling your hands around the nape of Loki’s neck. Yet he hesitates to deepen it, pulling back each time your tongue runs across the seam of his lips. But, oh, the way he groans when you tug at his hair and take his bottom lip between your teeth makes you clench, your desire making itself evident between your thighs.
Through whatever alchemy is sparking between you, Loki senses it and slips his knee between your legs, causing you to moan in response.
“Oh, little fox,” he rasps, roughly bunching your skirts up in his fist before lifting your knee to his hip and slowly grinding into you. “Don’t tease me. I couldn’t bear it.”
If you had lovers before Loki, you can’t recall them – not now that he’s scraping his teeth over the sensitive skin below your ear and bringing you to the edge of ecstasy with each deliberate roll of his hips. He tilts his head, lips parting as his tongue finally slides over yours. It’s tender and warm and you ache for him.
“Level seventy-one X P. The Grandmaster welcomes you home,” a voice announces as the elevator door whooshes open.
Loki breaks the kiss and presses his forehead to yours, puffing out a laugh. “So, fancy that bath?”
“Mm, sounds delightful,” you purr, grabbing his hand and leading him into the hall. His purposeful footsteps reverberate throughout the space, but you barely make it five steps before he pins you against a cobalt door.
“Stay with me,” Loki whispers earnestly, smiling when you softly kiss him in agreement.
You continue to kiss along his beautiful neck as he meddles with a beeping keypad just above your shoulder, drinking in the scent of him for the first time. He smells like earth and bergamot – with just a hint of something familiar you can’t quite place, yet it grounds you.
Allowing yourself another inhale, you gasp as it finally hits you: He smells of the ancient forests of Asgard.
Of home.
But that… that’s impossible.
“Just for tonight,” Loki says when he feels your body tense.
“Just for tonight,” you repeat as you follow him into his rooms.
You always were a liar.

au where instead of doing the Snap in hopes that Death will love him, as per the comics, Thanos decides to *make* Death love him. He's heard tales of a man on Sakaar who captured two gods and forced them to amuse him, so surely it's possible. Maybe he can ask this Grandmaster fellow for advice.
and then a few years later, Agatha wakes up to wild pounding on her door. She hasn't had her coffee yet; nevertheless, she throws on a robe and slouches downstairs, grumbling about the HOA. Flinging the door open, she's ready to give whoever it is a piece of her mind-
and everything stops.
because it's her ex-wife collapsed on her front porch, beaten and bruised and trembling.
"sorry, babe," Rio rasps, coughing up something like blood. "i didn't know where else to go."

5- Hell Frozen Rain
“Good afternoon. You know why you are here today ?” he asked to the Variant, but he was met with stubborn silence. “First of all, I want to remind you it's pefectly okay if you want to stop the session at anytime. You have seen several Analysts before and I know none of them has made any significant progress with you. But that's okay, I am a patient man. The goal of this session is to reconstitute the series of event that led you to your current situation and to help you to reintegrate a timeline that fits your need. Are you ready ? Where do you want to start ? Okay. Giving the particular nature of this case, the TVA doesn't have any footage that could be useful for this session. I hope you are aware this is not an interrogation, right ? Despite anything you might have convinced yourself of, you didn't do anything wrong. Nothing of what happened this night was your fault.” Mobius M Mobius had been the most professional Analyst his whole life, but something troubled him about this new case he had been asigned to. Why does he feel so much compassion for this Variant, and most important, what horrible, unspeakable thing happened to the woman named Sylvie Laufeydottir ?
I am not entirly satisfied with this on and I was thinking about rewriting it one day, but I think it's still worth mentioning it. It's a pretty short psychological thriller I wrote for Halloween a few years ago, based on my favourite Silent Hill game, Shattered Memories.
4- When she sings, she sings come home
Ghosts crave to go home. They live between the walls, in the interstices that separate one second to the next, in the limbo between sleep and wake. Home is forever out of reach to them, a when that can never become a there. Loki has spent a long time fighting against the TVA and Kang, and he'd like to finally return to Asgard, or whatever is left of it. He knows it won't be easy, but he wants to try anyway.
An undertermined time after the end of the series, Loki goes to New Asgard to visit Thor, but instead he finds Sif and the two of them catch up on the last decades.
Bittersweet reunion, past Sifki implied, mentions of Sylki and Thor/Sif.
3-Heart asks pleasure first
Ravonna was gone from the TVA, but the TVA had never really let Ravonna go. Only Mobius could understand. Using of patience and empathy, the former TVA analyst does his best to reach his oldest friend, and hopefully show her there is more to hope than there is to fear.
During a mission on Sakaar, Loki and Mobius ran into Ravonna Renslayer. They rescue (kidnap ?) her and take her to New Asgard. This story explore what happens during the following days. It's mostly long dialogues between Mobius and Ravonna about order, chaos and what we chose to fight for.
2- A warm bowl of soup
Mobius is going to leave the TVA for good to join Loki in New Asgard. In the Void, he asks Lady Loki to teach him how to make a good soup. But the reciepe of the butternut squash soup is not the only mystery he hopes to unveil.
This one-shot explores the relationship between Mobius and my beloved Lady Loki OC as she teaches him how to make butternut squash soup and opens up about her backstory.
1- The Little Bard's Tale
Dear reader (you are probably me in the future, so hi future me !), I found a blank journal and a pen today. I thought I might take them and write something. I don't really know what to write, or if I can write anything that will be worth reading one day. My name is Loki. For a long, long time I thought I'd never hear anyone call my name again, but I was wrong. I was very, very wrong, because there are a lot of other poeple called Loki in this place. And there's Sylvie who was also named Loki a long time ago. This story is not about the war raging on all across the Multiverse, or the brave heroes fighting for peace. In the Void, the war seems far away, but it doesn't mean we don't care. One day Mr Mobius came here with a lost girl named Rebecca. She is very important for the Council of Kangs and she's even more important for me. This is our story, as told by your favourite storyteller !
Okay, shameless promotion for the Little Bard's Tale because it's the story I have been focusing on in 2024 and it's probably the most personal thing I have written for a while. This is a story about finding joy and a purpose in life even when you don't exactly fit in.
The Little Bard has become like a companion in my daily adventures ☺️.

Portal to My Heart (Book 1.5) Chapter Twelve
Loki x Reader
Chapter Twelve: In the Ring
Summary: Loki and (Y/N)'s plans get messed up when Thor arrives on Sakaar.
(Y/N) grinned and rolled her eyes as Loki pulled people in with his tales of his and all the trouble he gotten into (embellished with heroism, of course). She had to admit, it was entertaining.
“There was a wormhole in space and time beneath me,” said Loki. “At that moment…I let go.” He grinned as everyone laughed, but his eyes went to (Y/N) to see her smile. That was his real validation.
“Loki? (Y/N)?” said a familiar voice. “Loki! (Y/N)!”
(Y/N) and Loki’s heads went up to see Thor strapped to a chair. They stared in shock.
“Over here. Over here,” he urged.
Loki smiled at the group around him. “Excuse us for a moment.”
“Give us a second,” said (Y/N), standing up with him and walking over to Thor.
Loki shushed Thor as he kept saying their names.
“What?” said Thor.
            “You’re alive?” said Loki.
“Yes, of course I’m alive,” said Thor.
“What are you doing here?” said (Y/N). It had been weeks since they arrived. It was strange that he’d show up at the same place.
“What do you mean, what am I doing?” said Thor in confusion. “I’m stuck in this stupid chair. Where’s your chairs?”
“We didn’t get chairs,” said Loki.
“Get me out of this one,” said Thor.
            “We can’t,” said (Y/N).
            “Get me out,” said Thor.
            “We can’t,” repeated Loki.
            “What?” said Thor.
“We made friends with this man,” said Loki. “The Grandmaster.”
“Kind of,” said (Y/N). “He mostly flirts with us.”
            Thor looked horrified. “He’s crazy.”
“We’ve gained his favor,” said Loki.
“Again, he finds us attractive,” translated (Y/N).
“The Bifrost brought us here weeks ago,” continued Loki.
            “Weeks ago?” gasped Thor.
            “Yeah,” said (Y/N).
“But you guys fell out moments before me, and I just got here,” said Thor.
“What are you whispering about?” whispered Grandmaster, appearing beside them.
            Everyone jerked back.
Grandmaster grinned. “Time works real different around these parts. On any other world, I’ll be, like, millions of years old. But here on Sakaar…” He trailed off. He was definitely super old. “In any case, you two know this, uh—” he glanced at Thor “—you call yourself Lord of Thunder?”
“God of Thunder,” corrected Thor. He glanced at Loki and (Y/N). “Tell him.”
“I’ve never met this man before in my life,” said Loki.
            “He’s my brother,” said Thor.
            “Adopted,” said Loki.
“Is he any kind of fighter?” said Grandmaster.
(Y/N) was about to say no to spare Thor whatever it meant to be a fighter, but Thor spoke before she could. “You take this thing out of my neck, and I’ll show you.”
Now, I’m not one to talk since I run my mouth, but that was dumb, thought (Y/N).
Grandmaster grinned. “Now look at that. He’s threatening me. Hey, Sparkles, here’s the deal. If you want to get back to Ass-place, Assberg—”
“Asgard,” said Thor through gritted teeth.
“Any contender who defeats my champion, their freedom they shall win,” said Grandmaster.
“Fine. Then point me in the direction of whoever’s ass I need to kick,” said Thor furiously.
“That’s what I call contender!” said Grandmaster eagerly. He lifted a stick. “Direction would be this way, Lord.” He waved it, and Thor’s chair rolled away.
            “Ah! Loki! (Y/N)!” said Thor.
“Good luck!” said (Y/N). He’s going to need it.
l
“You should speak to Thor,” said (Y/N).
“Yes, I was thinking of offering him to join us,” said Loki.
“Loki, he seems worried,” said (Y/N). “Obviously, Hela made it to Asgard. I want to free the people of Sakaar, but Asgard is also in danger.”
Loki paused and glanced at her. “You’re worried about them.”
“They’re…They’re not my people, but they’re people. I don’t want to see them hurt,” said (Y/N).
“I don’t believe going back is a smart decision for our survival. But…I’ll speak to Thor and offer him our support. However, I’ll try to get him to help us so he doesn’t have to go through this battle,” said Loki.
            “Thank you,” said (Y/N).
Loki was tempted to reach out and squeeze (Y/N)’s hand. He was doing this for her. But he couldn’t let himself or (Y/N) get killed fighting a losing battle against Hela.
l
“…the glorious death,” said Loki, finishing the prayer with Thor.
Thor turned around to find Loki behind him.
“Hurts, doesn’t it?” said Loki. “Being lied to. Being told you’re one thing and then learning it’s all a fiction.”
Thor threw a rock at him, and it passed through the illusion.
“You didn’t think I’d really come and see you, did you?” said Loki. “This place is disgusting.” Thor threw another rock. Loki sighed. “Does this mean you don’t want my help? Look, (Y/N) and I can’t jeopardize our position with Grandmaster. It took us time to win his trust. He’s a lunatic, but he can be amenable. What I’m telling you is, you could join us at the Grandmaster’s side. Then, you know, an accident befalls the Grandmaster, and then…we move on up. And then we go and help Asgard.” He shifted. “That’s what (Y/N) plans.” Thor threw another rock. “You’re not seriously thinking of going back, are you? Our sister destroyed your hammer like a piece of glass. She’s stronger than any of us. She’s stronger than you. You don’t stand a chance. Do you understand what I’m saying to you?” No response. Loki scoffed. “Fine. Go back and get yourself killed. But don’t bring (Y/N) into your mess.” Still nothing. “Say something!”
Thor chuckled mirthlessly. “What would you like me to say? You faked your own death, you stole the throne, you stripped Odin of his powers…stranded him on Earth to die, releasing the Goddess of Death. If (Y/N) gets hurt because of it, it is as much on your shoulders as anyone else’s. Have I said enough or would you like me to go back further than the past two days?” Loki swallowed as Thor’s words sunk in.
But he took out his frustration on Thor. “You know, I haven’t this beloved champion he thinks of…but I’ve heard he’s astonishingly savage. I’ve placed a large wager against you tomorrow. Don’t let me down.”
He stopped the illusion as Thor threw a bottle at him.
Loki turned to face the bathroom where he could see (Y/N) running a brush over her hair lightly. He clenched his fist. He had to keep (Y/N) safe. He had to keep her from going to Asgard on her own or with Thor. She could get killed, and Loki…Loki couldn’t let the woman he loved be killed.
            He’d do whatever it took.
l
The cheers of the stadium were deafening as (Y/N) and Loki walked into Grandmaster’s viewing booth. They took drinks from a waitress’s platter and made their way to a couch to sit down.
“It’s time for the main event,” announced Grandmaster, his giant hologram turning to the crowd. “Making his first appearance, though he looks quite promising, got a couple tricks of his sleeve…I’ll say no more, see what you think! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you…Lord of Thunder.”
Boos echoed through the stadium. Clearly, Thor was not a favorite in this fight.
“He got a haircut,” said (Y/N).
Loki leaned forward. “Indeed. I can’t imagine he’s pleased.”
Thor’s long hair and beard were gone, trimmed to a respectable length. He held a shield and blunt weapon. He gazed around him as people shouted and jeered.
“Watch out for his fingers,” said Grandmaster. “They make sparks.” He rubbed his hands. “Now, let’s get ready to welcome the big guy! Here he comes!” His champion was coming. Green fireworks burst around the colosseum as people cheered. A powerful rumble rocked the ground, coming from inside the other entrance.
“He is a creature,” said Grandmaster. “What can we say about him? Well, he’s unique. There’s none like him. I feel a special connection with him.” Thor put a Sakaarian helmet on. “He’s undefeated. He’s the reigning. He’s the defending. Ladies and gentlemen…I give you…your incredible…” A muscular humanoid in green burst through the doors, holding an axe, hammer, and roaring. “Hulk!”
Holy shit! (Y/N)’s eyes widened. Never in a million years would she have picked Thor to show up on Sakaar.
            “Yes!” shouted Thor, grinning.
The cheering died down as everyone gazed at Thor’s reaction in confusion.
Loki’s face paled even more than usual, and he stood up shakily. “I have to get off this planet…”
(Y/N) grabbed his wrist and pulled him back to the couch. “Come on, ‘puny god.’ Don’t be a coward, stick it out.”
“This is gonna be fun,” said Grandmaster, sliding into a seat on the couch beside them.
“Hey!” Thor grinned and waved at Grandmaster’s box. “We know each other! He’s a friend from work!”
Grandmaster’s face made a strange expression at how exhilarated Thor seemed, and he looked at Loki and (Y/N). They carefully avoided his gaze. Whoever these latest pickups from the portals were, they were certainly strange.
Hulk roared, and the crowd cheered again.
“Where have you been?” said Thor. “Everybody thought you were dead. But so much has happened since I last saw you. I lost my hammer. Like, yesterday, so that’s still pretty fresh. I saw (Y/N) fry someone to death. That was…weird. Oh, Loki. Loki’s alive, can you believe it?  He’s up there.” He gestured to the booth. “Hey! Loki! Look who it is!”
Loki was frozen, face pale. (Y/N) was having the time of her life as she watched his expression.
“Banner, I never thought I would say this…but I’m happy to see you,” said Thor.
“Hulk! Hulk! Hulk!” shouted the crowd. Hulk gazed around at them.
            “Banner!” said Thor. “Hey, Banner!”
“No Banner! Only Hulk!” said Hulk.
“What are you doing? It’s me, it’s Thor!”
Hulk lunged and slammed his weapons on the ground. Thor barely avoided and rolled to the side. Hulk spun and hit Thor in the side, though, and the Asgardian went flying. He rolled to a stop and jumped up. He extended two swords strapped to his back and faced Hulk.
“Banner, we’re friends!” said Thor. “This is crazy. I don’t want to hurt you!”
Hulk swung at him, and Thor blocked his attacks with his strength. Hulk bent Thor’s weapons and kicked him into the wall. The crowd roared for their champion.
I am so glad we avoided that, thought (Y/N).
Hulk’s hammer slammed into the wall by Thor’s head, and the Asgardian pulled it from the wall as Hulk stormed down on him. Thor jumped out and swung. The hammer hit Hulk squarely in the side, and he tumbled away along the edges of the stadium.
“What?” Grandmaster furrowed his brow. He hadn’t expected anyone to be able to handle Hulk.
The crowd quieted as Hulk was silent and still in a pile of debris, and Thor walked closer. Hulk shook his head and stood.
“Hey, big guy,” said Thor. “The sun’s getting real low.” He held out a hand. Hulk reached out. “That’s it. The sun’s going down. I won’t hurt you anymore. No one will.”
Hulk grabbed Thor’s hand and slammed him back and forth on the ground. The crowd erupted in cheers. (Y/N) winced.
            Oh, I’ve seen that before.
“Yes!” Loki leapt from his seat and pumped his fist in the air. “That’s how it feels!” He laughed wildly. He grinned at (Y/N) and Grandmaster. “I’m just a huge fan of the sport.”
“You feeling avenged?” teased (Y/N) as Loki sat.
“Absolutely,” said Loki with a side smile.
Hulk and Thor ran at each other, exchanging further blows. The two were both incredibly strong and resilient, taking and dealing hits with ease. Thor hit Hulk in the head, sending him to his knees, and knocked the axe in half. The audience gasped at the sight of their champion struggling. Thor didn’t give Hulk a moment and slammed his hammer into his side. Hulk fell back.
Hulk jumped up and grabbed Thor’s hammer, throwing it to the side. Thor blocked his punch and hit Hulk in the head. Thor ducked under Hulk’s punches and landed several to Hulk’s stomach. Over and over, Hulk missed an attack, and Thor darted around him to land his own. Finally, Hulk managed to pivot and land a punch to Thor’s face.
The crowd cheered as Hulk gained the upper hand again and pummeled Thor into the ground. Grandmaster chuckled. (Y/N) and Loki winced.
            Vam!
Thor erupted in a column of lightning as he punched Hulk. Electricity shot the green man backwards, off of Thor. The audience gasped as Hulk fell through the air. He hit the ground with a rumble.
(Y/N) and Loki sat forward in interest. (Y/N) was rooting for Thor to stick it to Grandmaster and his champion. Grandmaster stood up in worry.
Thor stood, and he gazed at his arms as lightning rippled through him. He faced Hulk as the green man stood and growled. The two ran at each other, one a mounting of green muscle, the other and streak of pure light. They jumped into the air, and Thor hit Hulk in the face. An explosion of electricity flooded from the impact. Thunder clapped at the strike.
            Silence. And then…
“Thun-der! Thun-der! Thun-der!” The crowd had found a new favorite. “Thun-der! Thun-der! Thun-der!” The chanting grew louder and louder into a deafening roar.
Hulk stood, but Thor was already advancing, still thrumming with power. And then Thor froze as the disk in his neck dug in with a shockwave. He collapsed to the side.
(Y/N)’s eyes narrowed, and her head snapped to Grandmaster. He held a baton in his hand. He had activated Thor’s implant to avoid his champion being defeated.
“I’m done with this,” said (Y/N), standing up. She hated people abusing their power. She turned on her heel and left the room, not caring if Loki or Grandmaster could see her.

"You're chasing a Demon In A Bottle"
Tony told Valkyrie*
WHAT IF S2 - EP4
Tumblr media
I'm loving this 4th episode, I miss Tony so much 😭😭😭
He stayed to help sakaar, because he's a hero, my hero 🥹❤️
(I'm a biased Iron Man Fangirl btw)
And his resourcefulness is so lovely to see. It's odd to me that I low key feel he had a more positive impact on his Sakaar visit than Thor. Although to be fair he was in a rush because of Ragnarok.
In a way him being stuck in Sakaar is essentially the same as being stuck in a Cave.
He built a car in a cave!!! With a bunch of scraps!!!
(also another Comic thing too btw 🤭🥰)
-
The implications of Tony's tale being known across the Galaxy and not just by Thanos is awesome though.
I bet that's canon to the main MCU too.
Tumblr media
Also, just saying... In the Comics Tony did sleep with Gamora that one time yk...
Although for the MCU I don't quite ship them.
Not to mention Tony is already with Pepper at this point but still.
Crazy to think in this Universe simply because Tony got stuck outside Earth for a while, the entirety of Infinity War and Endgame was avoided. Which could even move into like... Avoiding Wandavision and other stuff.
Although Age of Ultron maybe not quite... He did still argue he wanted a suit of armor around the World and Universe in Season 1..
-
Sucks we didn't get this episode on season 1, but I'm glad we got it at all!!!

I'd like to know about ur so vain(prequel) and Fever / What a lovely way to burn (filth edition)
ur so vain (prequel):
this is a prequel to a sylki fic i wrote last year, in which there was a bit about sylvie having met some other loki who betrayed her and that's why she dislikes tva!loki on sight. the prequel is basically just that earlier incident (or series of incidents, cos they spend a bit of time together) and i am being slow with this one because it feels a bit self-indulgent to prequel my own fic (but why shouldn't I? nobody can stop me!) and also i need to decide exactly how fucked up i want it to be.
Fever / What a lovely way to burn (filth edition):
this is one that some readers may remember me mentioning as "the sylki cuckolding fic" - sylvie and loki travel around the timelines and she seduces various of their other selves while he watches, and this is apparently very erotic for them. it goes a bit dark because some of those variants are not really the best targets for random seduction D: it is, i would boldly claim, a character study where the characters have sex a lot to study their own characters.
Here is a snippet of that one:
Sylvie is staring across the room at another version of themselves, eyes fixed on him, wide and wary, and with such an intense expression on her face that Loki leans in close and jokingly - or at least he intends it as a joke, in that fleeting, foolish moment - murmurs close to her ear, “Are you trying to make me jealous?” Startled, she turns her head towards him, and that odd intensity becomes something darker, something dangerous, something that mirrors his own sudden, unexpected, arousal. Sylvie’s lips part, her tongue flicking over them quickly, leaving them glistening wet, and after swallowing the thick silence between them, she speaks. “Should I?” she asks, glancing back across the room at that other Loki before returning her gaze to his. It was only a joke, he thinks, attempting self-deception, I didn’t mean anything by it. He says, “Yes,” and the word comes out low and breathy. With that encouragement, Sylvie moves away and walks towards their other self, who is standing beside the dance-floor, telling some tall tale in and drawing attention to himself with it. Since he has no idea who Sylvie is he doesn’t react to her appearing at the front of the gathered crowd, and she faces no resistance at all when she steps closer and draws him into a kiss. This is Sakaar, after all, where nothing is shocking and hedonism is the default mode of existence.

More HC Thoughts: Interpreting Thor as Sheltered
So if you consider Thor to have been very sheltered and dependent on Loki in Thor (2011). An explanation could be that he was unable to escape surveillance and was the more surveilled of the two.
Odin cared less about Loki's image, giving up on him early, and basically relegating him to a glorified henchman role. Loki has more freedom but less esteem and safety. And he'd be encouraged to put himself into dangerous situations off-realm to achieve Odin's goals and to do "whatever it takes" because he has useful subterfuge abilities.
I think some more "evidence" of Thor being the more sheltered one of the two is in that unlike Thor, Loki knows Earth customs, and also navigates Sakaar rather well. Loki is the more adaptable to new environments and clearly had practice with that. If Loki's the only one that can escape surveillance, I can see mostly Loki getting into dangerous and fucked up situations prior to Thor (2011) that he would love to take to the grave.
Meanwhile, Thor would have no option but to be good, and develops anxiety from this. So this HC is inspired by "Tales of Asgard" cartoon where Thor "wins" fights because no one wants to harm the crown prince. But what if the moment he's in any form of danger, he is transported away by the current Gatekeeper or someone comes to his aid? So he is sheltered in that regard. He only sees battles through rose-tinted glasses. And it adds to his reckless decision-making the moment he gets a taste of freedom during the coronation (and that's so fucked up). Because he has such a romanticized experience and view of war.
If you want to get into Nightmare Fuel:
Now I am thinking of "Pet"-A Perfect Circle. Great song integral to my development. And I imagine it's how Thor's parenting went if you follow my previous rant.
Don't fret precious I'm here Step away from the window Go back to sleep
Lay your head down child I won't let the boogeyman come Counting bodies like sheep To the rhythm of the war drums Pay no mind to the rabble Pay no mind to the rabble Head down, go to sleep To the rhythm of the war drums
Pay no mind what other voices say They don't care about you Like I do Like I do Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils See they don't give a fuck about you Like I do
Just stay with me Safe and ignorant Go back to sleep Go back to sleep
Lay your head down child I won't let the boogeyman come Count the bodies like sheep To the rhythm of the war drums Pay no mind to the rabble Pay no mind to the rabble Head down, go to sleep To the rhythm of the war drums
I'll be the one to protect you from Your enemies and all your demons I'll be the one to protect you from A will to survive and a voice of reason I'll be the one to protect you from Your enemies and your choices son One and the same I must isolate you Isolate and save you from yourself
Swaying to the rhythm of the new world order and Count the bodies like sheep To the rhythm of the war drum The boogeymen are coming The boogeymen are coming Keep your head down go to sleep To the rhythm of the war drums
Stay with me Safe and ignorant Just stay with me Hold you and protect you from the other ones The evil ones Don't love you son Go back to sleep
Meanwhile, Loki's song would be "The Package-A Perfect Circle". I know it's about drugs, but the whole "Doing what it takes" aspect fits him rather well.

No Cinderella (Loki x Reader)
"What is taking so long?"
Oh, jee, who knows? Maybe it's all the straps? Or it could be the lack of fabric at all. Where is your head supposed to go? How is anything supposed to be covered with just glittery straps of black and gold silk?!
Your reflection looks back as every decision you've ever made comes full circle; naked in nothing but this tight, skimpy outfit. Everything is showing - everything. Your belly is exposed in a flattering but very uncomfortable way, as the strappy piece that's supposed to be the top covers very little. The bottom piece is least horrible part - with little green gems dangling from ribbons to accentuate your thighs and backside rather nicely.
But who the fuck wants their ass on display in a formal meeting with the ruler of the planet you're trapped on? Who wants that at all?!
"Earth to Y/N, please respond - we're wasting precious time," Loki complains from outside the bathroom door.
Frustrated and defeated, you sigh. "I can't wear this."
"What do you mean you can't wear it? What's wrong with it?"
"It's ridiculous! I look like a cheap French whore."
"Surely you're overreacting - "
You hear the knob turning behind you and throw yourself on the door, "No! Don't come in here - I might as well be naked!"
Loki skips a beat, and can't help the smirk on his face. "It can't be that bad."
"Believe me, it is."
He looks around the room, bouncing on the balls of his feet anxiously. The Grandmaster had invited you both to a celebration party in regards to another win from his fighting champion. Loki was quite pleased with the progress he's made with the Grandmaster in gaining his trust, despite the many wrenches you've thrown into the game. If it's not needing the functions of a Midgardian washroom, it's wasting complimentary room service. If it's not that, it's refusing to wear the clothes that the Grandmaster has had crafted and sent especially for you.
It's like you're trying to get you both killed.
"Look, at any rate, you can't keep rejecting the Grandmaster's kind gestures," says Loki.
You've already taken half of the garment off with a few straps still awkwardly looped around your shoulders. "I'm not gonna wear this thing. He'll just have to deal with it."
Loki's fists and jaws clench angrily. "You're going to make me look like a fool with your blatant rebellion," he bites. "And what then?"
"I could stay here and say I'm sick," you suggest.
He scoffs, "No, you can't." You both knew better. Loki crosses his arms, trying to think of an alternative. He won't risk leaving you alone, and either of you missing the celebration could be his downfall - your downfall.
The blue jewel doorknob twists and only your head peeks through. "I'm tougher than I look, y'know."
Loki raises his brows, "Oh, I'm sure. You probably don't even need me here to protect you. Likely don't need me at all."
"I didn't say that."
He turns to look into your eyes and finds you devoid of lies or sarcasm. He can't hold your gaze for too long; he doesn't have time to feel remorse right now.
"I'm sorry, Loki. But believe me when I tell you, no one wants to see what I just saw. Not even the Douchemaster," you cringe, knowing he himself sent that garb to you. Loki? He gets to wear something stylish and concealing. Yet you have to dress like a Vegas showgirl. How is that fair?
As if he's reading your mind - which he's not - Loki detects a pattern. A disgusting, possibly dangerous pattern. He stiffens. You're already vulnerable to a certain degree; it seems as though the Grandmaster would like to highlight that in a certain way.
"You got any ideas?" your voice peeps from the bathroom. Of course. He must fix everything as well. Luckily, an idea does come to mind.
Loki remembers the clothes you wore weeks ago when this ... mishap, first began; a simple tee shirt, a cardigan and blue jeans. As Midgardian as it gets. It would be a giant, bright red target on your forehead at an event such as this, where guests are expected to be formal, or at least culturally formal.
He then thinks of the formal category of fashion in Midgardian culture - something that he's actually developed quite a taste for over the years. The class and elegance it exerts is surprising, and could be substantial among the diverse range of attires to be seen tonight. He can conjure any version, any piece, any outfit imaginable at the tip of his fingers. It's been helpful even in the recent past.
"You've no idea how lucky you are."
"What?"
He huffs. "Nevermind. Are you ... decent, as you put it?"
You pull the red Sakaarian robe closer to your body. "Yeah."
Loki opens the door and your eyes widen, as your jaw drops simultaneously. In one hand hangs a beautiful, simple, slightly frilly knee-length teal dress. One of those you see displayed in the windows of bridal stores with four-figure prices. In the other hand was a dark red, floor-length ballroom dress, one likely displayed inside the bridal store with possibly with an even larger price. Both were approximately your size.
"Wow," you breathe, tongue feeling dry. "How did you ... where did they come from?"
Loki grins at your amazement. "A small bit of magic goes a long way."
Your eyes switch back from the dress to Loki as an airy laugh bubbles from your throat. "I can't believe it."
"What, the magic or the gesture?"
"Both," you blurt out, shaking your head. "Did you make them? Like, out of thin air? Or did they come from somewhere?"
"If I told you all my secrets, I'd either have to kill you, or marry you," he smirks.
You glance away.
He resumes, "Now, which shall it be? Will you be bold, fluid and entrancing like a fine wine? Or will you be graceful, poised and wild, like the oceans? It's entirely up to you."
Sure, Loki saving your ass is more of a business deal at this point. But all you want to do is hug him to release some of the gratitude in your heart. Instead, you clutch the robe tighter and stare at the outfits wondrously. It's as if they were made just for you; to make you feel confident and comfortable, not to make you look the most desirable. Loki, silently and persuasively waves the clothes.
Decisions, decisions. You sigh and purse your lips.
"Are you going to make me choose for you?"
"I mean, the red one is super nice, don't get me wrong. I love it. It just seems kinda high-maintenance, y'know? Plus it's always so hot in the rest of this place."
Then just wear the other dress, Loki thinks, but bites his tongue as another thought comes to mind. "The party could carry on into the late hours of the night."
"Do we have to stay that long, though?"
"We'll stay for as long as we're expected to."
Your heart rate picks up; he left no room for debate. He opens his mouth to further prove his point when cold air wafts around his hand - the blue dress was snatched and the door shut in his face without another word.
He blinks. The weight of the world he's buried himself in suddenly weighs heavy. You're both in for a long night.
~
The teal dress hugged you in the best ways. The modest neckline complimented the simple sleeveless design, and the skirt ruffled ever so slightly, just enough for you to swing around like a little girl. It was fun to do and it also gave you somewhere to put your fidgety hands as you walked. Helpful, indeed, since the atmosphere proved quite intimidating almost as soon as you stepped out of yours and Loki's living quarters.
The thumping of music vibrates in the soles of your flat shoes, and everyone you've passed has turned their heads; staring and gasping before looking away when you acknowledged them. You tried to think nothing of it - even as obvious as it was - and Loki made that a bit easier.
It seemed like he was taking huge steps, though it was likely his normal pace, but nonetheless it made you speed-walk just to keep up. Not wanting to look like a child keeping up with their parent in a grocery store, you fell behind at a comfortable distance. This gave you a clearer view of the Sakaarian passersby. Which isn't exactly what you were going for.
As he got a few feet ahead, amidst all the faces and bodies around, you locked eyes with someone in a shaded corner. A woman, who could've been Asgardian - or even human. Dark golden skin, elaborately braided hair, a bottle to her lips, and big, striking eyes staring into yours. Reading what she could in a split second's time.
Your feet keot walking. Her face imprinted on your mind long after she was gone.
Thump!
You jump a foot back. Loki looks down at you, a mix of amusement and embarrassment on his face.
"Watch where you're walking. And it's not polite to stare."
With your entire body tightened into a ball, you awkwardly dust off his arm that you bumped into. "Sorry."
For the rest of the way, you look at your shoes.
To Loki, he was merely jesting due to the overt staring on the part of everyone else. Normally he would glare daggers sharper than anyone in the entire palace, but instead he chose to keep his chin up and embrace the looks - be them mostly toward you. What can he say? He accidentally chose the perfect dress for you out of thin air.
He'd noticed you doing what he'd chosen not to, and stopped to watch. Your head was completely turned to whomever received your look, and the mischief in him knew you wouldn't look up. But after that, you changed. He found himself missing that little spunk you'd built up when a thick silence took its place.
You kept falling behind in walking pace, so Loki decided to slow down a bit. Keep you at his side to keep the message clear: you were not to be meddled with by anyone.
The music from the party grew increasingly louder as you got closer. Loki could feel your feelings, despite not being connected to you in any way or an empath of any sort. It bothered him, needless to say. Both the inlet to your energy and the energy itself.
He elbows you in the shoulder, and you jump - confirming what he feels. Your big, nervous eyes glance up at him briefly.
Loki couldn't help but smile. "Say something."
You sigh shortly. "Everyone's staring at me."
"Would you like me to remove their eyes?"
You stop in your steps, and the mortified look on your face was priceless. Exactly what Loki wanted - a bit of loosening up.
He laughs, "What? I'm only joking."
"Something tells me you're not."
"Ah, yes. The fine line between truth and lies."
"So you're a poet now?"
He laughs again. It warms you from the inside out. "Maybe I am."
The two of you round a corner into a dark corridor, where two armored bouncers stand before a large door. Lights strobe and flash beneath it and the music pounds through. Loki confidently gives your names and the guards let you in.
The air was warm with bodies of Sakaarian citizens, and immediately you're bombarded by servers offering drinks. You take one, dumbfounded, and turn around to see the door shut tightly behind you. Blood drains from your face. In its place is clammy dread; the only thing grounding you is the cold glass sweating in your hand. The drink is glowing green - when you smell-test it, the alcohol fumes make you gag.
What kind of formal party is this?
Unable to hear yourself think over the music, you rely on your eyes. People are stumbling already - a rainbow of drinks spilt on the floor as the lights reflect upon them. Silver statues of the Douchemaster stand everywhere you look; tiny ones, Oscar sized ones, and one large one at the end of the room. It's enough to turn your stomach. And then the real thing spots you.
When the Grandmaster bounces up to you, your hand juts out and thankfully lands on Loki. He hadn't left your side.
"Ahhh! My very special guests, welcome! Welcome!"
"Our dear friend," Loki bows, "thank you so much for inviting us to your celebration. We couldn't imagine a greater honor."
"Oh, psh! Stop. The honor is mine! And dare I say you both look ... ah, dazzling," the Grandmaster hesitates, his eyes glued to your dress. The dress that definitely isn't what he sent you. "Yes, dazzling indeed, but where is the lovely piece I had made for you, dear?"
You open your mouth to respond, but Loki places a silencing hand on your shoulder. "Well, as you can see, my suit arrived in perfect condition," the Grandmaster nods attentively, "but it seemed as though the piece designed for my friend had been badly damaged. Burned beyond repair."
The Grandmaster's yellow eyes widen. "Oh my, I apologize. I certainly didn't send it that way."
"Oh, of course not! We would never think so. It was likely the doing of an envious servant and thus, we were forced to improvise."
"Huh," the Grandmaster says. "I'll have a talk with Topaz about that. I send everything through her before it goes through the sla - ahem, servants," he smiles a stomach churning smile. Loki squeezes your shoulder gently and you hold on to it for dear life. He's all that's keeping you together.
The Grandmaster quickly dismisses himself to greet other guests, leaving you and Loki to your devices. The first thing you do is relearn how to breathe, and then how to swallow.
"Hey," Loki says over the music, "come on. Try to have a bit of fun."
"This isn't exactly my idea of fun."
He guides you over behind a red couch, a space without listeners. Guilt swims in his green eyes as he chooses his words carefully. "I know you don't want to be here. But we have no choice. This is all a part of the plan, alright?" he looks around. "However, I'm willing to compromise. We can leave in just a couple of hours, if you'd like."
You nod. "I would."
"Very well, then." Loki shifts, "In the meantime, relax a bit. I'm right here. I won't let anyone harm you, as promised."
~
Oh boy. Two hours, you thought. That's doable. What could possibly happen in two hours time? Well, a lot of things.
But one thing that definitely was not on the list was Loki getting white girl wasted.
How? you'd asked yourself. You either lost track of how many drinks he consumed, or he drank one laced with diesel fuel. By the time you realized it, he was stumbling and falling into a couch full of other drunk guests. A sloshed drink in hand, red faced, giggly, and continuing to mingle as if nothing happened.
You stood there, frozen. Thank God the Grandmaster was conveniently nowhere to be found.
Seeing Loki in such a compromising state - for both him and yourself - it left you speechless. It ultimately left you alone. Alone under the weight of everything, while he shambled around in an oblivious state of euphoria. If you were to say a tiny pang of betrayal didn't sting you a bit, you'd be lying. Matter fact, you could've strangled him.
To top things off, what does he do when he sees you standing there shamefully? Does he apologize? Does he make room for you on the couch like a normal person? No. He drunkenly offers for you to sit on his lap. In front of everyone.
And that's when you ended the party.
The whole way back to your living quarters you ignored the nasty looks from everyone around you in the corridors. It wasn't hard this time since you had to be responsible for a surprisingly heavy man-sized baby who's just learned how to walk. Countless times he nearly tackled you to the floor with just his sheer, uncoordinated body weight.
But none of that even compares to the difference in his speech. As if things couldn't get any more embarrassing, you discovered that not only is Loki indeed a poet, but alcohol brings out an imprisoned, flirty Shakespearean teenager from him.
"Oh, my dear friend - beautiful and delicate as thou are, carrying the weight of a God on her mighty shoulders! Heheh ... thy strength is growing, my blooming flower. I shall need to be cautious in my further steps - whoohoo!" he howls as he trips again from uneven steps, steadying himself on your arms and shoulders.
You look for a window to throw him out of. But these hallways are cruel.
"I - ehehe - I seem to be losing balance as my true heart yearns toward thee, sweet warrior. And in thy face I see the map of honor, truth and loyalty." You look up through strands of his black hair obstructing your view and find him blindly looking around; cheeks flushed, a big boyish smile on his face. Under different circumstances, you'd melt to a sticky mess.
"Lies."
Loki snickers and belches. "She’s beautiful, and therefore to be wooed; She is woman, and therefore to be won."
Somewhere distant, the old saying plays in your mind about a drunk man's words being a sober man's thoughts. "You clearly have no idea what you're talking about - stop trying to take such big steps!"
He laughs brightly, unreserved. Even though he stinks of stale liquor, it was pleasant.
After what took three times longer than it needed to, you arrived to your living quarters and keyed in the access code. Loki practically fell through the threshold and bounced off the surrounding walls. Jesus Christ, he was gonna hurt himself.
You guide him into his small little bedroom where you knew he'd be safe. Politely you turn away so he could change clothes - though he just "magicked" them, and much like earlier at the party he disgracefully fell into the bed.
In a fit of giggles he adjusted to a more comfortable position. You can't help but roll your eyes at how ridiculously out of character he is. And then you think of how many people saw it as well. Before you can stop yourself the words lightheartedly flow out. "You really made an ass out of yourself."
He clears his throat, "That ... is completely subjective, my dear. One fellow's ass is another fellow's aspiration."
"Uh-huh."
"If I were to say you were the most beautified, would you say that beautified was a vile phrase?"
"If you were sober, I probably would." Tomorrow feels so close, but with drunk Loki, so far away. You switch off his wall lamp as he yawns. "You want me to tuck you in?" you ask jokingly.
"What's that?" he chirps, to your surprise.
"It's uh," you gather yourself, "well, on Earth, it's when you tuck the blankets around someone to make them feel more secure at night. Parents usually do it for their small kids."
Loki licks his lips in thought. "I don't think that's something we do in Asgard."
Come on. How could you not tuck him in after hearing that?
With the soft blue blanket draped over his stupidly long body, you tuck it tightly around him - from his wiggly feet all the way up to his neck. Thoughtlessly, like a parent would do their child, you peck him on the forehead to finish.
In the dark you suddenly lock eyes, and he looks at you in a way that, in fairy tales, Prince Charming might gaze at Cinderella.
But this isn't a fairy tale. And you're no Cinderella.
Mixed up in your feelings, you make way to leave; you make the mistake of looking back and find Loki watching you go - as if you were leaving for a long voyage and he actually cared about you.
His eyes were glassy and dilated. "Why have you tolerated me for this long?"
You blink. The sadness and suddenness of the question rattled your skin. What choice do I have? you almost say, but don't. He knows that.
Instead, you reply, "I mean, you're not the worst roommate in the world. You're pretty nice, actually. Look at me," you motion to the slightly disheveled teal dress still hugging your body, "I should be thanking you, for fuck's sake."
He nods shortly, casting his eyes downward.
"I pretty much owe you my life at this point," you add.
Loki meets your eyes again, and this time, the solemnity in them is sharp enough to kill. "You don't owe me anything."
An itch on your neck bites you. You weren't ready for the deep change in tone. Shakespearean-man-baby was much easier to deal with; well, easier to ignore. Now it seems as though Loki doesn't want you to be gone, as he might soberly portray. Or it's completely the alcohol talking.
Either way, you let it comfort you.
~

Enemies To Lovers- Loki Laufeyson (1)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Loki Laufeyson x Reader
Characters: Loki Laufeyson
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon- “I’m scared. What if somebody finds out about us?” With Loki?
Word Count: 702
Author: Charlotte
How you ended up on Sakaar was a long and winding tale, that even you couldn’t make the fullest amount of sense about. You had once been happily living on Earth, working as part of the successful superhero team of the avengers and yet you still ended up on a far-off planet, luckily managing to find yourself amongst the elite, as company of the Grandmaster rather than stuck fighting for his amusement.
It wasn’t the most ideal of circumstances seen as you had spent your whole life thus far on Earth, but you learnt to quickly adapt and keep quiet about any form of being a hero in your previous life. You had done well to keep it a secret, not even watching the daily fights and trying to blend into the crowds of people around the Grandmaster. It had seemed like a good plan until the person who had led to you becoming an avenger appeared on the planet.
Loki’s reign of terror across New York, had led to you and the others coming together as the avengers to fight him, and you assumed you’d never see him after Thor returned him to Asgard. Now that he was freely walking Sakaar, he would be the one that could destroy your plans of living a somewhat normal life on the planet.
You waited until he had made his way away from the Grandmaster, heading towards the home he had been gifted by the ruler of the planet, when you were going to approach him. Once he was away from the crowd, you took your attempt and pushed him against the wall, the broken piece of glass you had harboured as a weapon from the multitude of trash that covered the planet, at his neck.
“Loki!” You spat.
He seemed shocked, but you couldn’t see any recognition in his eyes.
“Do I know you?” He questioned, letting you pin him to the wall.
“You don’t even remember me?” You said, a laugh of confusion escaping you.
Loki had ruined your life and somehow brought it back together again, taking away your choices of your life but also pushing you into being seen as one of the greatest heroes that Earth had.
“Look, lots of people want to stab me in the throat,” he chuckled. “But I don’t know why you specifically want me dead.”
You lowered the glass, still keeping your grip tight on it.
“The battle of New York. Your army destroyed my city because you felt you had to prove something to get out of the shadow of your brother.”
He took a second before a smirk curled onto his lips, clearly gaining the memories of where you knew him from.
“You look very different from your pitiful attempts to fight a God on Earth,” he chuckled. “How did a thing like you end up on Sakaar?”
“I could ask you the same. You were meant to be rotting in a cell on Asgard. Does Thor know you are here?”
His expression fell for a moment. “I doubt it.”
You took a second to weigh up your priorities. You could take Loki back to the Grandmaster to tell him the truth of his crimes, likely resulting in him being thrown into the arena, and in turn yourself, probably being forced to fight one another just for the amusement of your new overlord or you could just accept that you were going to be living on the same planet, likely both hiding from the truth of your lives off that planet. There wasn’t really a choice.
“I’m not happy about this, but if I am going to survive on this planet, then no one can know who I was before I got here. If you say a word to anyone then I will take you down with me, and without your army, I’d like to see who would win in the arena,” you frowned.
Loki rolled his eyes at you. “My dear, I am a god, you wouldn’t stand a chance,” he laughed. “But I do not want the Grandmaster to know any more than you do.”
“I never thought I’d see the day when you were my ally.”
“Neither did I.”

Loki didn’t like to admit when he didn’t know something, but he didn’t know that detail. The audacity of a mortal dodging his questions should have been irritating, but Scott defied the usual. Perhaps it was recent events wearing down on him or Scott’s easy and freely given hospitality, or the comforting food and wine…
All of it. It was all of the above. He drank a sip of wine, took a moment to taste it, and determined he was going to have to be the one to talk first. He was the unexpected guest and perhaps he did owe Scott some explanation. He had to believe with seeing his mother briefly and surviving that there was a reason he was there and he couldn’t put it off anymore. He began his tale of the last few weeks, purposely leaving out some circumstances that would shine him in a negative light along with his personal emotions.
“My brother and I were with father in Norway when he passed. He warned us of an older sister he had imprisoned in Hel for her bloodlust and her return would bring Ragnarök. His death released her and I attempted to bring Thor and I home, but she followed. We were diverted in the wormhole of the Bifrost and landed on a planet called Sakaar. It was a chaotic ruthless place where we joined with Hulk and Doctor Banner and Valkyrie. Thor began a revolution and we escaped. Thor, Bruce, and Valkyrie were in a small ship and I in a freighter, the Statesman, with refugees from the planet. The Battle of Asgard with Hela against her undead fallen warriors was brutal so Thor had me unite the helm of Surtur with the eternal flame. Surtur destroyed Asgard along with Hela. We left with who survived Ragnarök on the Statesman.”
Loki took another drink of wine to dispel unwanted feelings. Asgard was gone. “We were on the Statesman for a little time and I spent it with Thor, Bruce, and Valkyrie. It didn’t last.” He took another drink and remained factual. “The ship was attacked by a warship of a Titan named Thanos after an infinity stone. His forces decimated what was left of our people and Valkyrie took charge of the escape. Thor, Hulk, and I made a last attempt.” Loki swallowed, remembering Thor’s screams. He saw Thor in a dream walk, so his brother was alive somewhere. He continued to keep his tone casual. “It failed and I perished. I thought I did anyway. I woke falling on your roof.”
continued from here The buzz in his ears dissipated and Loki could hear what the man was saying. That was English. He made it to Earth somehow and by the man’s accent somewhere in the United States. Instead of being afraid of Loki, he was offering a hand. There was open kindness in the gesture and in the expression.
Huh.
Maybe Thor had been correct after all. There was more evidence Loki could be on Earth without everyone running away screaming from him.
Fantastic.
From the ground, Loki looked up to where the man was looking in the sky and didn’t see any threats for the moment, so he gripped the offered hand. He stumbled and the man responded by wrapping Loki’s arm around his shoulders. They got him to his feet. More kindness. Once he was on standing, he attempted to speak again to offer his thanks and introduce himself. Yet again there were no words since he was still healing from the attack.
Normally he would simply create illusions in the air of words, but without any seidr he resorted gesturing to his throat to signify his issue.

Cold Illusions & Scorching Lies Pt. 5
Tumblr media
Pairing: Loki x Pregnant reader
Summary: Many try to tear you and your prince apart from each other. When Loki lets go of the past that brought him to his doom, you begin to realize you're not the only one who uncovers a forbidden truth.
Author's Notes: these events will be in chronicle order of the Thor movies. (Italicized text will be flashbacks). They will be titled for every part
Warning: none?
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Once the mysterious woman made her presence to the brothers, Loki and Thor shed off their Midgard disguises to their Asgardian armor. Your husband makes you stand behind him to be a sort of shield for you in case something happens.
From what you could comprehend, her name was Hela and she ordered all three of you to bow down to the new queen. "I don't think so." Thor said out loud, throwing Mjolnir in her direction. Hela is barely fazed as she catches the hammer in her hand, breaking it.
A gust of lightning and wind blew straight towards the three of you. Thor and Loki stood their ground, but you were so off guard that the force made you fly back to the edge of the cliff.
Loki's eyes darted to you, being triggered by the night he fell off the rainbow bridge on Asgard. He knew he had to save you no matter the cost. "Bring us back!" Loki cried out. "NO!" Thor screamed at his brother. Suddenly, you stop falling as a kaleidoscope force made you fly upwards. You were not too far from Thor and Loki, but Hela was hot on your tale. Once she catches up to you, she throws you out of the tunnel.
Loki screams out and in frustration, throws a blade in Hela's direction. She smiles wickedly and quickly darts to him, conducting the same fate you faced.
The trickster whirls outward to a gust of color, flying like a comet to the universe around him, making him sick to the bone as he loses consciousness.
His last thought was how he witnessed you falling to your doom
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Loki's POV
I slowly open my eyes, being greeted by a harsh light.
I grunt as I try to get up from my position, but suddenly realize that I had restrictions around my limbs and neck. "Goody, you're awake." a voice chirped to me.
I blink harshly and was greeted by a colorful character who was surrounded by his possible posse and a guard. Somehow, I knew he must be a ruler to whatever place I landed.
"Pardon me, but where am I?" I asked politely, trying to use my silver tongue to get me out of my binds. "Polite and respectful! Take note that I want all of my guests and prisoners to greet me this way, capeesh?" The tall man addresses around him as servants nodded urgently to take note.
"My name is the Grandmaster and you have crash-landed on my planet of Sakaar. It's lovely to meet you Mr..." He trailed his word as he awaited me to reply. "Loki, Grandmaster. It's an honor to be greeted by your presence." The Grandmaster flicks his hand and playfully rolls his eyes.
"You flatter me, Loki. Before I decide to kill you or not, I have to ask... why have you arrived on my planet?" The trickster was shocked nonetheless by the greeting, but he kept his cool. "I lost the greatest thing that can happen to me and I walked the ends of the world to be reunited with the only thing that makes me happy."
What I didn't expect was the Grandmaster to tear up from my sob story. He exhaled once he was done and pressed a button on one of his gadgets. I closed my eyes, hoping that my head wouldn't explode from what he had pressed. A second has passed and I was free from my bonds. I stood up properly to thank him for his decision.
"I like you Loki, I like you a lot. We need a sort of classy charm around this place and I want you to join my ensemble. What do you say?" The Grandmaster asks. "It would be my honor." I beamed.
He claps in delight and presses another button on his gadget. "Lovely! I just called upon my favorite handmaiden to lead you to your new living quarters. There she is right now!" he acclaimed. I turned around to see...
'Y/n?' I thought.
She looks so different than the last time I saw her. Her hair was tied back as her face was decorated with similar makeup as the people around me wore.
Her gaze fell onto me, but for some reason, she did not react to my presence. "Isn't she a beauty?" The grandmaster asked me, taking me out of my dumbfounded state. "How did you acquire her, my lord?" I asked, trying not to be suspicious.
"My servants found her on the outskirts of my land, badly injured and almost starving to death. Once nursed back to help, she told me that she was lost and had nowhere to go. Me being a good person, I hired her right on the spot to serve me and those I hire. Seriously, who would abandon such a breathtaking flower?"
I bit my tongue to repress the words I badly wanted to object to, but the Grandmaster quickly moved on. "I hope you enjoy your stay, Mr. Loki. Oh, and one more thing... I don't like my guest to be intertwined with my staff, they tend to forget whom they prioritize to."
I fake my emotions as I hold my stare at my housekeeper. "I shall uphold your policies." and with that, I left with y/n.
She starts walking down to the long hallway, taking sharp turns. I attempt to speak to her but she doesn't respond. She then stops at our destination and grabs my hand roughly to the room.
"Finally, I thought you would never-" I stop as she slaps me in the face. Her eyes begin to swell, but her features made it appear that she was raging. "What in the nine realms are you doing here, Loki?" she gritted through her teeth.
"I beg your pardon, is that the way to treat your husband?" I ask, snapping at her for her outburst. Her eyes grew a violent shade of orange. "Oh no, you do not have the right to speak to me like that. Not after being stranded on this forsaken planet for three months." she sharply stated.
My face softens as I realized time travels differently if you escape the teleport in mid-flight. "Darling, please. You know I would have never forsaken you." I hold her hand that was somehow warmer than usual.
"So falling into an abyss at Asgard and leaving me in the clutches of Odin was what, Loki?" she says, her voice dimming down as tears threatened to roll down her face.
I got closer to her as I wrapped my arms around her waist, forcing her to look at me. "When I learned that you disappeared without a trace, I felt broken. The best part of me was missing and nothing would have filled that void unless you were in my arms."
Her breathing became haggard as she began to sob. I gently place her in the crook of my neck, holding the back of her neck as I, too, started to cry in my silence.
After what felt like millennia, we broke apart from our intimacy as she walked a few feet away from me.
"The day I found you in the trophy room, I tried to tell you something. But you were in so much pain... I decided to wait. Now, I shall not wait any longer."
She sheds off her servant robe and reveals a dress that hugged her curves in every perfect way. But what made me forget to breathe was a noticeable swell of her belly.
"You're going to be a father."
I begin to walk slowly in her direction, kneeling at her feet. My hands softly travel to her abdomen, feeling the life that was growing with her. I try to form the words I wanted to come out of my lips, but I utterly fail. She then touches my hair like she's down thousands of times and soothes me with her affection.
I look up to the goddess I was blessed with. "I am unworthy of you and our child. Why tell me this when I am far from deserving such gifts?" She kneels down to my view, caressing the side of my face.
"Because you are my love, my life. I know that you would have frozen and shatter anything in your path to protect both of us. I love you, Loki." My beloved replies as she glows such a bright aura.
Without hesitation, I kissed her with every ounce of passion I had in my body, holding her tightly against my beating chest. At this very moment, I promised myself that I would never let her go.

Lost Objects:  A Thor Fanfic
Lost Objects Masterlist | More Small Gods PREVIOUS //
Buy me a ☕ Character Pairing:  Thor x F!Reader
Rating: E
Word Count:  1722
Warnings: Mentions of sex, oh umm... hey there’s a little bit of talk about things in the trailers for the loki series some people who don’t know anything about the comics might not have picked up.  Should have warned on the series for that.  I wouldn’t personally call them spoilers, because ... i haven’t seen the series to spoil it, but if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like to know anything...
Synopsis: Thor has lost a lot in a very short period of time and he’s worried about losing himself too.  He goes to the one person who understands loss.
Tumblr media
Chapter 5
Barnaby the fat ginger cat sat down and began grooming himself as the black one seemed to stare at you and Thor.  In what really was only a few seconds, Thor seemed to have a whole thought journey.  It started with how close the green of that cat’s eyes was to Loki’s and ended with the conclusion that the cat must be Loki.  The journey took him through a lot of stops, including Loki’s ability to shapeshift, the fact he had faked his death twice in the past, and the fact you could draw lost things to you, but once he landed on it, his eyes went wide.
The cat mimicked Thor’s expression as the man jumped to his feet.  “Loki!”  Thor shouted, sending the black cat running.  Barnaby seemed to watch him go with a look of contempt like he was above such things.  “Loki!”  Thor shouted again, chasing after him.
“Thor?”  You asked, following on, though with much less urgency than Thor.  “It won’t be Loki.”
“It has to be,” Thor said, looking around.  The cat had vanished, but two rows over there was a bang and the smell of sulfur followed by a cat yowling.  Thor charged in the direction of the sound and when he came around the corner and came to a screeching halt as he reached his brother who was lying up against a partially knocked over shelf, his legs in the air, rubbing his head as various pieces of cutlery, jewelry and stuffed animals clattered down around him.
He looked up at Thor with an expression of resignation.  “Hello, brother.”
“Loki!”  Thor roared, pulling his brother to his feet and drawing him into a tight embrace.  “I knew you must not be dead.  You are always the trickster.”
Loki did not hug back but did not resist the affection either.  Just allowing it to happen.  “What are you talking about?”  He asked, dryly.
You appeared behind both the men and looked between them blinking.  “What?  How?  How are you here?”
“That is a very good question,” Loki said, pulling back from Thor.  “As is, why I can’t seem to leave.”
“Come,” you said, gesturing to both men.  “I think this is a tea conversation.”
“Yes,” Thor said, clapping Loki on the shoulder.  He hadn’t felt so light and genuinely happy for years.  He had resigned himself to be the last of Odin’s lineage and yet here was his brother, returned to him again.  “Come.  Let us celebrate!”
Loki allowed himself to be dragged down to your kitchen, where you began to potter around.  You brewed tea and coffee and tried to find some kind of sweet to be served with it.  Eventually finding a packet of slightly stale cookies behind a teapot with a mismatched lid.
“Tell us, how did you escape Thanos?  And how is it you are here?”  Thor asked as you moved around the kitchen.
Loki picked up one of the cookies and sniffed it before taking a hesitant bite.  When he appeared to deem it satisfactory he shoved the whole thing into his mouth and grabbed a handful of others.  It was very un-Loki-like and reminded Thor more of his old friend Volstagg than his much more dignified brother.  “How do you even know of Thanos?” Loki said through a mouthful of cookies.  “Besides, I don’t know what he has to do with anything.  After I escaped from Midgard with the tesseract, I used it to travel around.  I worked out a way to move through time, which was fun…”
“Wait?  What?”  Thor asked.  “When you were on Midgard with the tesseract?  The last I saw you we were in space.  And how did you get the tesseract after Thanos destroyed it?”
“You are speaking nonsense,” Loki snarked.  “Thanos never obtained the tesseract, and he certainly didn’t break it.  The Time Variance Authority confiscated it.”
You put a sandwich down in front of Loki, and Thor wasn’t sure if you’d made it or just found it like that. It was on a large crusty roll, filled with various meats and salad, and wrapped in thin white paper.   Loki picked it up and sniffed it before taking a large bite.
“Why don’t you tell us when you last saw Thor and what has happened to you since,” you said, taking a seat at the table.
Loki rolled his eyes.  “After the battle that I brought to Midgard, you shackled me and were going to let the Midgardians lock me up.  There was some kerfuffle in Stark’s building and the tesseract fell from its case.  I took it and used it to leave.  I went to some friends who removed the restraints you put on me and I was traveling around, entertaining myself.  Then the TVA took offense and locked me up, confiscating the Tesseract.  I was just breaking out to go get it when suddenly I was here and you and this lesser god were fornicating.”
Loki spat the words lesser god the same way he used the word mortal or Midgardian. Like even the words themselves were beneath him.  Thor considered addressing it, but he was more distracted by the tale Loki had just spun.  It didn’t make sense and he was having trouble getting his head around it.  “You were taken back to Asgard and locked up.  Mother was killed when there was a prison breakout,” he said.
Loki started at Thor mid-bite and slowly lowered the sandwich to the table.  “Mother was killed?”
“You know this!”  Thor roared, slamming his hands on the table.  “You were there!  Why are you saying these things?”
“I know not of what you speak, brother,” Loki said.  “When I last saw mother she was alive and well.  Certainly, I have not returned home since I fell from the Rainbow Bridge, but if she passed…”
Thor looked at you like you might have some answers to what was happening right now.  You took a sip of your tea and seemed to think.  “The time variance authority exists outside of time, correct?  I don’t know much about them, but it is generally accepted that they are not of this universe exactly?”
“That’s what they say,” Loki said in a bored voice.
“And when you were escaping, had they realized you were gone?  Were they looking for you?”  You asked.
“Yes,” Loki said.  “Which was why I was in the form of a cat.  I was moving through the vents.”
You nodded and looked at Thor.  “This is just a hypothesis, because… this isn’t how my powers work, Thor, but-” you glanced at Loki and shook your head.  “I don’t think this is your Loki.  At least… not the one you knew more recently.  After the battle there was a divergence, this Loki got away and yours did not.  And just now - I think there is power in you worshipping me, Thor.  What I am… Loki said it himself, I’m small-time.  People don’t actually worship me, they pray and they beg the universe for the return of their missing keys or cell phones.  It’s never to me directly, and it’s never very hard.  Yet here you are, one of the Norse gods, and you were on your knees for me.”
Loki scoffed and took a long drink of his tea.  Thor ignored him.  “You think you brought him here?”
“Yes,” you said.  “I can’t be sure.  I’ve never brought a person here before.  Small pets are the limit of the living creatures with free will.  But maybe if Loki was in cat form, and maybe if they were wishing for him back, while we were… doing what we were doing… it was enough to bring him here.”
“Well, I’d like to go, if it is all the same to you,” Loki said, sounding bored.
“Brother, I haven’t seen you for a long time.  I saw the life choked from you.  Surely you can stay for a little while.  We have much to catch up on,” Thor said.
“The last time I saw you, you had planned to lock me up for eternity,” Loki said.  “What has changed?”
Thor frowned and shook his head.  This was not the Loki he had worked with to save Jane and stop the dark elves, nor the Loki who had helped him escape Sakaar and stop Ragnarok.  This was the angry Loki who had attacked a city at the behest of a titan and whose pain of finding his father had lied to him about his past for over a millennium was fresh and raw.  “You are my brother.”
“And what else?”  Loki asked.
“And I have lost everyone,” Thor said.  “Mother and father are dead.  Jane left me.  Fandral, Volstagg, Hogun, Heimdall, even Stark and Rogers.  They are all gone.  Loki, Asgard is gone.”
“And that is why I find you hiding with this lesser god?”  Loki scoffed.  “Why would I want to stay in such a world anyway brother?  Where I am from, everyone is alive and well - as far as I know.”
Thor lowered his eyes.  “Why must you be so cruel?”
Loki started laughing and patted Thor’s shoulder.  “Oh brother, I’m sorry.  You are in a bad way, aren’t you?”
“It might be a moot point,” you said with a shrug.  “You’re mine now Loki.  I can return you to the ones looking for you, and perhaps you could leave with Thor because he was also looking for you, but otherwise, you are stuck with me.  That’s why you didn’t go anywhere when you tried to teleport out.  Would you like me to return you to the people of the TVA?”
“I obviously do not,” Loki deadpanned.
“Then you might as well make yourself comfortable,” you said, pouring him more tea.  “You clearly haven’t eaten properly for a long time.  Why not rest and recharge and we can work out what to do?”
“Fabulous,” Loki snarked.  “Just what I’ve always wanted - to be stuck with some hoarder deity.”
“Cheer up brother, it isn’t so bad here,” Thor said, grinning and clapping Loki on his back.  He had his brother back, even if it wasn’t quite the Loki he knew, it was still one he was familiar with.  Soon he’d have Mjolnir too.  Coming to see you had been the best decision he’d made in a long time.

Stephen’s indelible sin
For those who follow me for a while, you’re probably aware that I speak of guilt and self-loathing A LOT when it comes to Stephen. Once I wrote about his most terrible sin, but since then, I’ve gathered MORE information concerning Stephen and Hulk’s relationship. And, on a personal level, I think both fans and writers should explore this bond more, given their history.
Today, I’ll bring a detailed review on Stephen’s mistake and how it escalated into a pain that will never cease to exist within his heart and soul.
Warning: get your handkerchiefs ready, this is about to become sad quite rapidly.
We’ll begin our journey of angst in 1967, as seen in Strange Tales #156-157. In order to prevent Umar from walking on Earth, the Ancient One advises Stephen to release an evil and powerful demon called Zom. The demon is able to defeat Umar, but his strength is overwhelming, enough to give the Ancient One a hard time. Zom’s power is so evil and cursed that releasing him is a deed that catches the Living Tribunal’s (undue) attention. The Living Tribunal is so offended he wants to destroy Earth. And guess what? He blames Stephen, even though he was a mere apprentice imbued with blind obedience at that time.
Tumblr media
The Living Tribunal imprisons Zom again, while Stephen convinces the deity that Earth deserves another chance. Stephen basically saves the planet, as usual, while Zom remains dormant for literally decades.
We’ll skip now to a not-so-canon event called “the birth of the Illuminati”, or “how Stephen ruined his life for good out of arrogance and toxic masculinity”. It’s uncertain when they first gathered to boss around the planet, but according to History Of The Marvel Universe #3 (2019) and New Avengers: Illuminati #1 (2007), they made this decision after the Kree/Skrull War, creating a secret council to answer for all humanity, even though humanity itself wasn’t aware of those dubious representatives. The Kree/Skrull war dates back to 1971, which means they spent decades plotting their hidden agendas.
Tumblr media
Still, they’re heroes, right? They wouldn’t harm people, would they? They wouldn’t harm their friends or make mistakes. They’re supposed to be the smartest, most powerful people on Earth. Oh. Let me tell you something. Their very first mission was the reason why we had Civil War and Secret Invasion. Yes. It’s their fault that the Skrulls invaded Earth. And yes, Stephen is to blame because he was there with the group when they first threatned the Skrulls never to come back, or else they’d face them. Hah.
However, this is not his indelible sin. As you all know, what I consider an irreparable mistake was sending Hulk to Sakaar. And what’s even worse? It wasn’t the first time that Stephen tried to banish Hulk, as seen in The Incredible Hulk v1 #305 (1985).
But why is Stephen so haunted by banishing a menace? Because Hulk was, foremost, a dearest friend.
Tumblr media
From Defenders v1 #12 (1973)
When it comes to Hulk’s friendships, people always think of Rick Jones, Amadeus Cho, even his cousin Jennifer Walters. But few people remember that Stephen and Valkyrie were two of the first heroes to treat Hulk kindly and with respect, even though Hulk always called Stephen names (the most iconic, “dumb magician”, which is a personal favorite of mine).
Stephen has always treated Hulk as an equal, as someone who is so much more than a mindless brute. So it’s really strange for me to read that, at some point, Stephen tried to banish him twice.
Sadly, it happened. The first was not as iconic as the second, though. So I’m focusing on the latter. Remember the Illuminati? The group thought they had the right to decide Hulk’s fate after he went berserk and destroyed Las Vegas. And Stephen agreed to it. Namor, who was also a member of the Defenders along with Stephen and Hulk, was the only one who refused, as seen in New Avengers: Illuminati One-Shot (2006). The three of them were the original members. Stephen should’ve known better. So why would he agree to this?
Tumblr media
Because, again, the Illuminati are a very dubious group whose foundations are based on toxic masculinity. Powerful, egoic men left unchecked. And Stephen, as Earth’s most powerful sorcerer, couldn’t resist the call. The Ancient One was dead. The mantle of the Sorcerer Supreme was his. Clea left him years later - and he never told her about his dirty little secret, something that is subtly confirmed somewhere between New Avengers: Illuminati #4 (2007) and Avengers v4 #9 (2011).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thus, it seems that Stephen, at some point, decided that he was better than everyone around him, a trait that was supposed to be buried in the past along with his arrogant neurosurgeon self. The kind man who has always praised his allies was now gone.
Except... World War Hulk happened. Long story short, Hulk ended up in Sakaar and found a new life after defeating his captor. He married and became king, and he was happy (you can get a very shady glimpse of this story in MCU’s Thor: Ragnarok, but that version is quite family friendly. World War Hulk is far worse). But then, the ship which the Illuminati created to send him into space exploded, killing his wife in the process. Spoiler: it wasn’t the Illuminati. It was Miek, who framed the Illuminati so Hulk would call revenge upon them. Enraged as never seen before, Hulk was truly decided to kill Reed, Tony, Black Bolt and... yes, Stephen.
At first, Stephen tried to reason with him. But Hulk’s hatred was beyond words. Stephen had all his fingers broken, ouch. Imagine his pain, assuming his hands were once injured in the car accident and still hurt from the damage and all the surgeries he has been through...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, as you know, Stephen is stubborn as hell. Remember the demon Zom? When everything else failed to stop the Hulk, Stephen finally corrupted his soul and let the demon possess him. Obviously, he lost control and almost harmed innocent people, which was enough for him to be distracted long enough for Hulk to finish him off.
Tumblr media
In the end, Hulk discovered the truth behind the explosion and, after a rage outburst, transformed back to Banner. Stephen almost died that day by the hands of his friend. But he didn’t. All that was left from that sad event was guilt. Endless, heavy guilt.
One could arguee that Stephen is out of character. And I would’ve agreed with you, except... Nor time nor actions were good enough to heal Stephen’s heart. It never went away. Never.
The reason why he forfeited the mantle of the Sorcerer Supreme? Because he used Zom’s dark magic and hurt Bruce deeply. And that affected him on so many levels that he didn’t find himself worthy anymore.
Tumblr media
From New Avengers v1 Annual #2 (2008).
It didn’t stop there. He tried time and time again. He was never able to find the proper words to apologize because he knows words will never heal the pain he inflicted on his friend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These thoughts are Stephen’s. “Two words I’ll repeat for the rest of my days. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” (From Incredible Hulks #618)
And poor Stephen even goes and tries to compensate his lack of expertise when it comes to interpersonal relationships, projecting his relationship with Hulk into, well, another Hulk. He’s so afraid of making the same mistakes he doesn’t even know where the line is drawn.
Tumblr media
From Weapon H #2 (2018).
As I said, it will never go away. And Stephen knows it.
Tumblr media
From Defenders v4 #1 (2011).
The point is, people make mistakes. And sometimes these mistakes are just too painful to be erased. Stephen strongly believes he’ll never be forgiven, which is quite sad because this sin will always be a source of guilt for him. Whether or not Hulk forgives Stephen in the future, it will always remain a burden.
Personally, I believe that blaming himself for what happened to Hulk is even worse than blaming himself for Clea’s departure. Because, see, Clea has forgiven Stephen over the years. They still love each other and, once you ignore Fearless Defenders, there’s no sin. They both agreed to take separate ways, even though their love still existed.
But Hulk? It’s a story about betrayal between friends. It’s quite cruel and sad for both sides. I can only hope that, someday, a writer will make it up for them. They deserve another chance. And, as unreliable as I am, all I want to see is a happy Stephen.

Today is Fanfic Writers' Appreciation Day, and so, I wanna spread some love.
@mastreworld One of the very first Loki fics I had read were yours. It was full of my kinda kinks and smut, but more importantly, it was full of rich story telling. It didn't just open a new creative world for me, it also opened the gates for one of the closest friendships I've ever had. You and your fics have a special place in my heart. I love our discussions (Loki knows some of them have led to the writing of more Loki fics). It's a magical thing, and I hope you keep writing more delicious Loki fics.
@caffiend-queen Boy, you write such details in your fics, my mind is blown away. Especially the stuff about clothes, shoes, classy booze, anything really...you have got such in-depth knowledge of this stuff! I don't even think about such details when I write, which is a personal failing of mine, lol. It's so damn impressive that you mix these details in, and it really brings the story to life. Great smut aside, you write some of the most nail biting climaxes (ha!) too, which is not an easy thing to do.
@nildespirandum You are a words' witch. You weave words like pearls in an intricate jewelry piece. I'm awed by your worldbuilding, and even slightly envious, if I may say so. You write grey characters so well, I feel truly conflicted when they do something super bad, lol. I hope your Loki and Nora series never reaches an end. It even gave me inspiration for writing a series in future.
@realityhelixwrites You write one of the cutest, fluffiest Loki's, and still keep him authentic and in character. Not a small feat. Your story, Lasabrjotr, has a really fleshed out reader character. I luff her. Though she be but little she is fierce! Keep on writing, you write one of the best slow burn Loki fics.
@illegalcerebral I truly appreciate your Loki fics, especially the series with the GOTG gang. It's something I badly wanted to see, and your fic filled that void in my soul. Your writing has an almost fairytale-sqe feel to it. I enjoy it thoroughly! MY BODY IS READY FOR THE NEXT PART OF THE LONELIEST PEOPLE IN THE GALAXY.
@maiden-of-asgard Don't think that I can say more than what's already been said. Your writing is to die for. The details in your fics, especially the worldbuilding and language and culture creation... CHEF'S KISS! And to top that, you blend Loki's mischief and stoicism so well. I hope to see more of your creative ventures, be it fic or original publishing.
@ohhhmyloki Your writing has a unique tone and style. Very few stories make me FEEL so much, and yours surely do. I feel as though I'm in the character's skin. I swear reading Fever was a religious experience, in more ways than one. It brought you in my life, and with you came the understanding about certain spiritual experiences I had been receiving. It has been a great experience, and I'm glad to have you as one of my closest frens.
@emeraldrosequartz GUUURL... whatever I write here, its the tip of the iceberg that's our relationship 😂🥰. A year ago, at this time, @dangertoozmanykids101 (I think) recced your fic (In One Moment) here on Tumblr. I hopped on the wagon and started reading. And then commenting on it. It was dark, it was delicious, it even scary. I found you on Tumblr... And idk what happened then... a spell was cast, perhaps? But that marked the beginning of a writing frenzy unlike any I've ever experienced before. We wrote together like crazies, and we got to know each other through it. It was so intense, it was like a fever. I hope we can keep on creating more stories (we sure are). I'm blessed to have you in my life, babe. ❤️
@talklokitome I got to know you through Loki's Library, and I thank the universe that I stuck with the server, because I cherish our deep friendship. Through it I got to read your fics, which was like uncovering a gem. Watching you write with @emeraldrosequartz was especially fun. Hope you do it again soon.
@lokilover9 Yours was also one of the first fics I read in the fandom, especially on Tumblr. If there's a potential for humor in any situation, and if Loki is involved, you know how to make it even funnier. I've had a blast writing with you, and also, experiencing the growth of our friendship. I hope that you can get back to writing again. It's the perfect outlet for your naughty and dirty creative thoughts. 😂
@amaru163 I know that I've been lacking in reading your stories (or reading much at all, lately 😭), but those snippets you've shared have been a delight to read. Please keep sharing more.
@shiningloki Boy, you've been a revelation. I hope I can dedicate more time to reading your deliciously smutty fics. They have all the kinks I wish for. One night imma set my obligations aside to simply gorge on Get On Your Knees... 😏
@grufflepuff-writes-stuff Your dedication to writing is something else. I'm amazed at the fact that you've written almost 150 Loki's Lullabies. You go girl! Your writing feels like a warm blanket on a cold and stormy night, with a fire crackling nearby. It's a hot chocolate that feels like warm silk on the throat. The fact that you can, through your writing, give us readers comfort during this tough time is something truly amazing. Keep it up. 💜
@pedeka & @icybluepenguin I love the way you weave your storyline within different MCU storylines to create a completely new thing. I love that you included mythological elements to it as well, especially Huginn and Muninn. I cannot wait to catch up on it. It's one of the best RP evolved stories I've read.
@wolfpawn You write such inspiring and strong female characters, it's a gift to the Loki fandom. You write rich, long stories filled with real world issues and problems, something that is hard to do when writing fantasy. Idk how you do it, but you're a like a supremely skilled craftsmen with it. Not to mention, your amazing work with @imagine-loki . You work hard on that blog, and I'd say you are one of the great pillars of this fandom.
@dangertoozmanykids101 @toozmanykids Guurl, your are a turbo charged fic reccer and reader. Your comments on my fics have probably added years of good life to my lifetime. I swear I want to get them all framed. Besides being an awesome contributer to the fandom, you're a great creative mind yourself. The things you've written, especially in our 'Loki on Sakaar' challenge, are absolutely out of this world. I could never, lol. I hope to see more of your writing come to life, babe. And I hope our friendship keeps growing too. You're an awesome person.
@foruneyti Your story is one of the loveliest I've ever read in the fandom. I rec it to anyone and everyone who asks me for fic recs. I hope you write more such engaging tales.
@sserpente The sheer volume of your fics is amazing. You write with great heart and dedication to the craft. You take on prompts and requests (something I've had issues with) and weave lovely fics around them. Your productivity is enviable. I hope you keep on writing and succeed as an author.
@imnotrevealingmyname My little writing fren. I've come to know you and your fics very recently, but it's been a very pleasant discovery. What more, getting to know yet another Indian in the fandom was delightful! You write one of the naughtiest, smuttiest fics I've read, and I love your thought process. 😂😏
@nekoamamori I love the sheer joy your fics bring into the fandom. I especially love your Peter and Loki friendship fic (Of Numbers And Strange Friendships). It's something that I dearly wanted to see on screen, but it didn't happen. Your fic fixes that beautifully.
@nuggsmum You are a lovely storyteller, one of the funniest people I've met on Tumblr, and not yo mention, super strong and resilient. I hope that you can find the time to write again, after you've dealt with the things that need your attention now. You're a bright star in a dark sky. ❤️
