#tagging the important characters so everyone sees

your tags mention the ending where madoka says she'd call anyone who doesn't believe in hope wrong, but it's even better than that. she says she'd call them wrong "every single time". she wouldn't argue with them on it, she wouldn't give them any ground to even stand on. she knows they're wrong, that this world is worth saving, and doesn't even consider the alternative.

i also love the implication of homura's wish, how every part of it mattered. everyone knows homura wished to go back to save madoka, but even the part about "being the one to protect her"... i think this is part of both characters' shifts in every timeline post-timeline 1. madoka grows into the hero she knew she was back then, the one homura fell for, and homura's wish ultimately couldn't change that.

further beyond dying for the sins of others or literally causing miracles through her wish, i feel like madoka's unshakable conviction on the value of life in the world and, further, the validation of the suffering of others, that it must mean something and it cannot be in vain, that they deserve peace beyond their end no matter who they are, that rather than the dangerous witches it's the kyubeys who cannot understand this fact that are the real enemies, this part feels really christ-like to me.

madoka's an entity of pure love and adoration. she's hurt the most not by people being bad, but by them never being able to do better or get better. almost too much so, her kindness and compassion in part contribute to mami's death and shape her dynamic with sayaka deeply.

i think the only person madoka could see herself hating might be herself; beyond her convictions she never gives her life the time of day. other people are just... so amazing, so brave and so interesting that compared to them she must be plain, unimportant or even worthless... and yet she's the most important of anyone in that group, because even so she's the one who can bring change.

it feels like at least here I barely see any analysis on madoka herself. It’s usually almost always an analysis on another character that brings up madoka (most of the time homura) or it is the 500th analysis about how madoka actually didn’t want to be a god, missed her family, and had severe self doubt issues. Which is all well in good but I just wish there was bit more for her.

I just wish more analysis would tap into madoka herself. In how despite the amount of suffering madoka has seen and had to endure herself she still sees the world as something worth protecting. How much empathy she has for others; in how she never snapped back at Sayaka and continued to stay by her side no matter how much she lashed out at her and how she decided to make a contract just so Mami wouldn’t be lonely anymore. How she made a wish with Kyubey that would separate her from her family and friends forever just to validate and protect the hopes and wishes of magical girls while allowing them to burden madoka with their pain. How fucking powerful she had to be as a god to nearly break Homura’s world by simply just starting to remember who she truly was.

I just…I fucking love madoka and it frustrates me deeply how little appreciation some parts of the pmmm fandom seem to give her asides from the fact that she became a god.

can i just say. and this is probably a niche hill to die on. that i am so gobsmacked every time someone vaguely hints at the idea that jotaro doesn't care meaningfully for the other crusaders, usually particularly kakyoin and joseph, when those two actually tend to be the ones he reacts to being hurt the hardest

like he cares for his loved ones!!!! that literally plays into his character motives in every single part he shows up in!!! stop lying to me!!!!!!!

Sort of morbid au idea but what if system points were like health points. They already are pretty close since hitting zero means death. Though my thought process was more like sqq and sqh would take physical damage if they got point deductions. The amount of said physical damage depending on how many points they loss. I don't think that it would count actually health in the matter, like if either of them took non system damage it wouldn't effect their points (same way around for healing). Though to give them some slack I think they'd only be effected by loss of normal points, not b-points or protag satisfaction.

This could either start from the very beginning or this could be implemented because the system thinks that sqq and sqh are too lenient with their point loss (or just their behavior in general). Either way I think it would be horrifying (more than the whole 'drop to zero points and you essentially die') and very angsty. It would also make it a lot harder to hide the transmigration.

if dorian didn't show up, do you think louis would have shot minnie?

I do. I know some people think either he wouldn't have or he would've missed so that's why the writers had him shoot Dorian instead, but mmmmmm no, I don't personally think so. I like to think that if he had taken the shot, his shaky hands would've caused him to shoot her fatally.

Mostly because I'm already so normal about the fact that of the Ericson crew, Marlon and Louis are the only ones with a body count. Well, that we know of, but shown to us in the game, at least. Plus, we know it's Louis' first kill.

Like yeah, Clementine and AJ become part of the crew and they have bigger body counts, and if we're counting indirect kills caused by actions, then Tenn has a count... and I guess everyone has blood on their hands for blowing up the boat... but I'm talking about killed directly with a weapon like....... I lied, I'm not normal about that at all, Louis and Marlon are the ones who have killed someone in Louis' route. I'm also not normal about the fact that Louis kills Dorian and then even as he's clearly in shock, he tries to go with Clementine to get AJ, and then later on when they talk about it, he says it feels like bile but not quite and he's glad he has it in him to do it.... listen, listen, listen... I'm obsessed with that.

Anyway, so if Louis shot Minerva, I think he would've accidentally killed her and can you imagine? He's already enough of a mess after killing the woman who pinned him down and tried to cut his finger off [or succeeded] but he knew Minerva, they were friends before the twins were taken. Even Violet couldn't kill her even though that would've been the smarter thing to do, and we know thanks to meta knowledge that killing her would've saved lives, but Violet couldn't, and I don't think Louis would intentionally either.

Speaking of Violet, if Louis killed Minerva, I hate to think about what that would've done to Vi. I think she might've actually left at that point, like what was planned before it got changed to her being burned. I don't think she would've attacked Louis over it, though, like yeah she attacked Clementine in the cell but Louis? I don't know, but I don't think so just because it's Louis and he'd be a mess about it anyway.

Though if he did kill her, it would be a neat parallel to draw... y'know, because Louis forgave AJ for killing Marlon even though he was pissed and heartbroken, and Violet was annoyed with him the entire time... but could she ever forgive Louis for killing Minerva? Y'know? We already have a similar parallel with AJ shooting Tenn, but still.

If Clementine killed Minerva in that moment, though, then I could see Violet attacking her since in her eyes, Clem proved her right.

So yeah, I get why they added the Dorian kill to his route. It adds another compelling element to Louis as a character, but we also need Minerva alive for episode 4; Louis can't kill her, he can't miss, and he's not going to stay with her because we need Violet to stay on the boat and him to be on shore for all routes.

Have some OC doodles I started yesterday before tragedy struck and are like the bare minimum effort for today to finish. Since the two princes were originally not /in canon/ for another plot but rather made for a mafia AU as cousins to one of the main characters for the base plot. I was like. Huh let's give them a happier life. So here they're just princes and instead of the police department/detectives that most of the main cast is in base plot, those are the royal guards around the twins' castle.
