First off I want the basics!! Who and what is your S/I? What’s their backstory and how did they meet everyone?

Aaaaaah!! Thankyou for your interest!!!! I go back and forth between "He" and "I" when talking about my S/I so apologies if this isn't cohesive!!!

I actually have two Mario S/Is technically,,,

One really really old one baby me made in... 2011 or so that I lightly revamped a few years ago; That post can be seen Here (bowuigi and Mariocest mentioned)

And the newer one made in part thanks to the Mario Movie finally giving me confirmed extended Mario Family outside of the Super Show, my Mario Brothers Cousin S/I is the one I'll talk a bit about.

I have a few posts about him and the rest of the Mario family floating around my art tag but to give the summery:

Emilio (nicknamed Emile) is the only son of Tony Mario and his ex-girlfriend Pauline. He is 5 years younger than Mario and Luigi, and 6 years older than their younger cousin Louisa. He's currently in collage at his mother's wishes to become a politician, but has no real interest in it. He has a pet turtle named after his favorite Pokemon Turtwig.

I'm using the movie's cool isekai plot of how Mario and Luigi got to the Mushroom Kingdom as my base, because I personally like it better than Yoshi's Island/Partner's in Time's sort of They were Always there plot, and it just is the only story we have on Mario Family and I love them they are my Familia. However Partner's in Time is canon to my S/I's later plot just in more of a Cross Dimensional adventure rather than just time travel because I love that game a lot

So I'm not plot important in the movie at all, that all still happens as it does in canon, I was blissfully unaware of their adventure sitting at home in Brookyln with the rest of the family until they came home.

After that, and after Mario and Luigi fully move out and into the Mushroom Kingdom, I start visiting them and crashing at their place often.

I have a deep fascination with Mushrooms, in both real life and in this Self Insert, so of COURSE I have to come be a biology nerd all over the Mushroom Kingdom, and the bros are happy to have me around. We're all pretty close, especially sense I'm the only family member who knows the brothers are together Romantically, and am willing to cover for them.

While in the Mushroom Kingdom I start getting interested in more than just the Mushroom Forests. I start asking about the people, and the other kingdoms, and the people in those kingdoms, so on and so forth. Mario and Luigi don't really know much aside from Evil King Bowser and his kingdom of Killers which. Bros I know he tried to kill you but that's a big sweep to make of a whole country. So we go ask the Princess for more information. But she's busy doing Princess Things.

Enter Toadsworth my beloved old man who deserved to be in this movie. Toadsworth has been the royal adviser sense before Princess Peach, so of course he knows plenty on the surrounding Kingdoms and their governments and justice systems and trade rates and all that juicy world building.

So I start getting into fantasy politics.

My S/I for this one is really smart, smarter than real me by a lot, he retains information well and makes more logical conclusions and can grasp big concepts my little dropped outta highschool pea brain can't, so he soaks up every bit of information Toadsworth gives him like a sponge.

A month or two of this goes by and I start missing my real world collage classes to run off to the Mushroom Kingdom and learn Fantasy Politics. I read every book in Peach's Library, and then everything in Toadsworth's personal collection, and then everything in the Toadtown local library, all while listening to any story or extra detail Toadsworth himself knows.

Meanwhile my poor dad, Tony, has Pauline breathing down his neck about me skipping classes to run off with those Hooligan cousins of mine to some Fantasy land doing who knows what throwing my future away. This isn't super plot important just. Pauline is a Mother Knows Best kind of parent while Also being a Hands Off kind of parent. I was raised in the Mario household, she paid for my schooling, that's the dynamic.

Anyway eventually I fully commit to dropping out of Human Collage to fully study under Toadsworth to become the Mushroom Kingdom Royal Adviser under him. I'm now doing super official stuff like helping plan events like galas and the Star Festival, I'm sitting in on meetings both with the Toad Court and with other Nations, I'm meeting with Monarchs and Politicians of other Countries on the weekly. I'm rubbing Elbows with King Koopa himself! The bros are not happy about that one but they ARE supportive

I even get my own room in the castle!! Which tends to go pretty unused because at this point I'd been sleeping exclusively in the Bro's house. Occasionally if I'm really focused on a job Toadsworth gives me I'll work overnight on it in my room is the castle, but that rarely happens because Luigi always calls me when dinner's almost ready so I can get home just as it's done, and no one can resist a Luigi home cooked meal. The few times I have stayed overnight working in the Castle Mario's ended up calling me at like 3am because he can't sleep and doesn't want to wake Luigi. Another reason I end up coming home.

Ah this is getting long I'm sorry thankyou so so so much for asking I don't think I've posted all this information cohesively yet?? Is it cohesive?? I hope so!!

Uhm but I think that's all the Basic information!! To summarize:

My S/I is Mario and Luigi's cousin, Son of their Uncle Tony and his ex-girlfriend Pauline. He's about 18-19 years old at the start of the movie

His Backstory is he's a Gifted Kid raised under a Projecting Mother who has an interest in Economics and Politics, but only for the fantasy world Mario and Luigi stumbled into

He meets everyone through becoming the Royal Adviser in training under Toadsworth, leading him to attend important meeting and Galas with high ranking figures like Princess Daisy and the Koopa King Bowser

Sooo this is going into headcanon realm but I like to think Junko was the first/only person to give Imposter a proper name/nickname. They're talking about needing someone to remember them, know them as who they actually are and not who they pretend, and Junko is that person to them.

Masking: the song. Deep down they know Junko has only extended their hell of impersonating people, all to further her own ends, and they hate that fact. They want to be "them" but they have no idea who that is anymore when they're not with her.

Junko justifying that they were like this deep down. They were like her, see? So she did nothing wrong in "corrupting" them, since the rot was there from the start. All she did was bring it to the surface.

And, unlike in my main crossover where Junko kinda ruined their relationship, and unlike my BSD's crossover where Mikan and Dazai are being freak4freak and making each other worse (in a fun way), I do genuinely think Izuku/Mikan in these series is just... genuinely good for each other. That's half of the tragedy of my main crossover between the two; they could have genuinely been really good for each other if it wasn't for Junko. There are realities where they are happy together and that's part of why it hurts.

I've talked about this before, but I adore thinking about Hiyoko and Mikan's relationship. It's so messy and complicated, I just want to shake the girls and have them resolve the conflict. Hiyoko (imo) cares about Mikan underneath her projection, self hate, and victim blaming, but she's also 100% her bully. Mikan doesn't owe her forgiveness for that, especially in a non despair setting. But what makes this already messy dynamic messier is Mikan killing Hiyoko in the simulation. Mikan shouldn't have done that either and Hiyoko doesn't owe her forgiveness either. So you're left with two deeply messed up people who cared about each other, yes, but also deeply hurt each other in ways neither of them might not be able to forgive. What do you do with that? It's facinating to explore.

I'd be fine with people interpreting this as a ship mix, even though it was intended to be platonic. Imo, Hiyoko and Mikan are so interesting and complicated both as characters and in their relationship with each other- it was definitely an abusive dynamic but I do believe that a) there was care there and b) people can learn from their mistakes and become less abusive if they put in the work. So while it's a very dysfunctional relationship, I can see a world where they both heal and their dynamic becomes healthier. Not going to attack someone for being a fan of that idea, either, so listen to it whichever way you want. I cannot be throwing stones in my glass Junko ship house.

He huffs in amusement when you try to chase his lips, but his gaze rakes over your heaving chest and down the bed where you're rutting against the hard, unyielding curve of Levi's tail. Levi is on his knees in front of you, smoothing his palms up and down your calves while he sucks little marks into the delicate skin of your thighs. He glances at you and Mammon from beneath his lashes, and his orange eyes glow slightly as they brighten with excitement and lust.

Mammon grips the hem of your t-shirt and tugs it over your head. Levi licks his lips and drinks in the delectable sight of your bare chest and soft tummy. His tail flicks one last time against the damp spot forming between your legs before it curls just over the top of your knee instead. You whine at the sudden loss of heat and friction, but Mammon's hot breath ghosts across your ear and he tugs your ear lobe between his teeth. His hand slips under the waistband of your pants and he strokes you instead, gathering the slick arousal pooling at your slit and spreading it with his fingers. You reach back and reach into his soft, snowy white hair and tug roughly as you buck your hips against his hand and whine his name. His finger circles lazily around your entrance and you arch your back against him while your insides clench pitifully around nothing.

Mammon smirks at Levi over your shoulder and a flicker of silent understanding passes between them. No matter how much they argue, they usually don't get too carried away. They would never want their little squabbles to get in the way of pleasing you. "I'm feeling a little generous after all, babe," he murmurs against your neck before he licks a stripe up the delicate column of your throat. "He can stay and watch, and if he can keep his tail to himself, he can have you next."

It's because so many people who post about the "ship war" are actually KA shippers who think the existence of zutara (or just people not liking KA) is a declaration of war.

That's why the zutara tag is always flooded with this "omg, have you considered multishipping/poly ships," nonsense. Sure, multishipping is great! So are OT3s! But not engaging in ship wars also means respecting people's right NOT to ship something.

I actually love zutaraang but I have a hard time with how a lot of people present it as a "solution" to the ship war when what they actually mean is that they can't let zutara exist without Aang. Or they'll let Zuko play as long as he doesn't threaten Aang's conception that Katara gets to be "his" at the end of the day. And often those sorts of interpretations of the ship also buy into the misogynistic conception of Aang and KA as the "wholesome" option to dirty, "shallow" zutara that the creators also encouraged. Which is also a stigmatizing way to engage in poly ships in general.

That's also the problem with the people who say they like both but make very obvious moral judgments about how they think KA is more wholesome and zutara is just about sex. Because of the way the show's male creators framed female desire itself as shallow.

you probably didnt notice them before the fight club, but once you join its hard not to. you like hazel because she's genuinely so nice to everyone and cute in that "you kinda scare me but i weirdly really like it", and you like pj because while her attraction is so obvious by the way she refuses to hit you, constantly adjusting your posture, and how you've caught her staring at your ass about twenty damn times already. but shes cute in a "you're obviously a loser but your desperation kinda turns me on way."

maybe pj catches on to how close you're getting to hazel, then being the hotheaded ass she is (affectionately) confronts hazel about it, telling her if she was a real friend she'd do her a solid and back the hell off ??? obviously hazel isnt falling for it, saying they should leave it up to you to decide who you're interested in.

lucky for them you invite them for a study date at your house that night ! when they ring your doorbell pj is nitpicking hazels button-up, getting surprised when hazel bites back and critiques her plaid zip up jacket because really? plaid?

they both quickly shut up when you open the door, smiling casually like you arent standing in front of them in a lacy bra and shorts, turning around inviting them up to your room as you expect them to follow you. they do, of course. (hazel makes sure to clowe and lock your front door beacuse shes. polite. yeah.)

the fake studying you do is dreadfully boring. hazel tries to pay attention to the work, while pj is flirting with you and getting more flustered the harder you flirt back. eventually you get sick of the bullshit, grabbing her by that fugly plaid jacket and bringing her lips down to yours.

you have to pull back only three seconds in when to your shock the brunette lets out the loudest groan you've ever heard and brings her hands up to squish your breasts, looking slightly embarrassed as giggle at her and brush some of her frizzy hair back away from her face.

a mix between a shaky inhale and a snort reminds you of the other person in the room, turning to see hazel with such a strong grip on her pencil you're slightly scared shes going to stab herself with it.

you ask her "dont laugh at her, you think you could do better?" and before you know it she's crawling towards you from the bottom of your bed and kissing you with the passion of a long lost lover.

you have to admit you're slightly surprised at how proficient she is at kissing, knowing just the right way to tilt your head and graze your lips with her tongue. it makes you so light headed you fall onto your back on the covers, hazel never giving you a chance to pull away as she follows you down and cages you in.

you make out with her for another minute or two before gently pushing her off to catch a breath, your chest rising up and down at a mile a minute. once your head clears more, you look above you to see hazel looking almost nervous. her eyes dart from you to the space to your left, and you tilt her head to see pj doing the same.

you meant it as half of a joke but your breath catches in your throat when pj grips the sides of hazels head and kisses her. well, more like starts licking at the area around her mouth, but with a little guidance its not long before the two are in a heated makeout above you, the sight and the sounds they're making turning you on in ways you didnt think was possible.

you press a hand into both of their chests, the girls pulling apart and looking at you like they're both waiting for your command.

You’ve definitely written Gojo getting jealous over Yuuji, but what about vice versa? Does Yuuji not get jealous?

Very good point! Didn't really think of it before you sent this ask, but yeah, I do write a lot of Gojou being a menace that way, while it's not really there with Yuuji.

I'd say it's a mixture of characterization and circumstances. Regarding the latter, my tastes in ships mean that I'm far more likely to write Yuuji/Multiple than Gojou/Multiple, and even the poly situations are more hinge polyamory than triads or the like. The only time I've even given Yuuji cause to be jealous is in my chosoita+goyuu vore fic, in which Gojou (a) knows Yuuji's in love with him and (b) has a habit of fucking other people and then coming to Yuuji to make him "fuck them out of him."

As for characterization, I write Gojou's jealousy as motivated by possessiveness mostly—a kind of consuming love. He doesn't strike me as the type to share easily or well, which is why the hinge polyamory I write involving goyuu and other ships generally features him being a sharp-tongued cunt to other characters. He'd be such a horrendous fucking metamour; I believe this with my whole dick. I think he'd be less caustic in a triad situation where he wants and loves both parties, but I can only see that with goyuuge. I've tried my hand at itagofushi and nanagoyuu, but in both those cases, Gojou/Megumi and Gojou/Nanami were solely sexual, not romantic, which brings us back to Horrendous Metamour Gojou Satoru (should make that a tag).

In contrast, I think Yuuji's less likely to be jealous, except for very baseline levels most people feel. In a relationship, he'd be pretty secure, and outside of one, at the crushing or yearning stage, he'd be more focused on the practicalities of his own desire, if that makes sense. I also don't see him being possessive the same way Gojou is. At his canon age, he'd be more prone to safekeeping/safeguarding than any kind of presumed ownership, and my takes on his older self (especially darker versions, like the scenarios where he fully subsumed Sukuna) have him feeling a sense of entitlement to what he's already been freely given—something like "you made yourself mine, so now you're mine." It's essentially a logical extension of his tendency to love fast and hard and deep.

Thanks for asking this! Gave me some fun food for thought regarding my characterization choices, which are always only half conscious.

Being tired of everyone's shit.

They can be polyarmory or something. Of you're so tired you're ready to just fall over? Idk bitch have a cuddle and a quick nap. The two others can watch your respective spoiled little shit for you. They can all feed eat each other their cooking while screaming about their uncertain futures. Making plans to try and stay together while all silently acknowledging that it may all be for naught. But hey, if it does all go to shit, at least they had these moments of peace and freedom while they lasted. (They all breathe a huge sigh of relief when, years later, they're standing at an altar with matching rings and trying not to cry).

On another note. Adueceyuu is one of my favorite ships unironically. Classic friends to lovers trope with a big ol' slice of possible angst. Just going through the whole "What are we" anxiety stage and them not wanting to put a label of it because, "what if yuu leaves?" "What if we all drift during internships?" "What if we all hate each other next year?" "What if our entire dynamic changes as soon as we acknowledge this thing we're doing for what it is?" And they're trying to save themselves the heartache.

And then it all just boils over at a party when they start making out in the heat of the moment or something stupid like that. Have fun dealing with the consequences of those actions ace! Cause duece is ready to commit and do the honorable thing and yuu already rearranging their entire lifes future in their head to stay with their stupid stupid boys.

I'm not the biggest fan of poly ships if I am being honest, I'm strictly monogamous so writing for poly stuff well/at all is hard for me. But for some reason literally none of that applies to Adueceyuu, I unironically love them all together. I think Deuce is the first to realize his feelings for Yuu, but he struggles with his feelings for Ace. He knows they're there of course, but he also has this image of Ace in his head as his rival he isn't fully willing to give up. Ace makes such a big deal of how lame romance is Deuce isn't willing to deal with the humiliation of being rejected and made fun of. Ace on the other hand... he knows what he's feeling but he is going to deny it for as long as he can for all of the exact reasons you listed. He loves so deeply and is so protective of both of them, but he cannot say it out loud because then that makes it real. So all three of them do this awkward dance that's just painful for the other members of their friend group to watch because they know that the card trick trio aren't together together, but try telling that to the rest of the school. You can't.

Que a fourth year graduation party where Ace opens his stupid bratty mouth and suddenly he's getting tagged teamed with open mouth kisses by both Deuce and Yuu, and wakes up the next morning with Yuu squished firmly between him and Deucey. Good luck getting out of this one Ace.

He totally pretends he was the one who asked them both out and made it official but all you have to do is glance at the look his partners faces to know that's not the truth.

I like the situation you wrote for Jamil and Ruggie, they clearly have mutual respect for each other in GloMas and both are deeply sympathetic to Yuu's situation. I could see them planning together for the future behind Yuu's back and discussing if they should encourage Yuu to stay, unfamiliar with the feelings of guilt the idea brings. It would be such a relief for them when things work out for them without any underhanded tactics.
