im actually SO obsessed with the theory of both mocha and ros coming back on red

ESPECIALLY IF THEY BOTH KEEP THEIR MEMORIES

so long ago, mocha consistently went after ros for her refusal to stop being kind, to stop hoping, to not see the world as fucked up and broken as mocha saw it

and now? theyre both back. and ros has finally, finally broken. she's angry and jaded and hurt. she's just like mocha now, with all this blood of the weaker on her hands.

she's just like mocha, in the way they asked a spectre of death to execute them with an audience. because it was better than to keep living after what they had done.

and now? they have a job to do.

for mocha, this is familiar. for the weight of the red faction to sit on his shoulders, demanding him to take life after life. it wasnt ever something he wanted, but he grew into it, like a glove that finally fit.

for ros, this is new. long past mocha's original death, she had spilled blood. she got used to it. loved it, even. "the noob slayer", they had called her. at first she hated it, until she grew into it. or perhaps it grew around her, like an oily film forever clinging to her skin. but she had never been red.

and now?

she's like mocha.

red.

here they stand, on the same side. murderer and victim. murderer and murderer. victim and victim.

for mocha, this is a return to form that he never wanted

for ros, this is a hell she has dragged herself down to

perhaps they both think they deserve it.

they once hated each other, and maybe they still do. but they're too alike now, and people like them can find no comfort except in each other. pangi and bad had long since moved on, and yellow's beloved architect is buried six feet under.

all that's left is to tear down the server together.
