Part 2 of the humble excerpt from Eggbert's life in court!

"EGGBERT! What do you want!? Come forward, now!" She commanded. Eggbert came forward and took a knee behind the red line. He had no idea where the Red King was, and thought, "that good-for-nothing Prince must be out stealing tarts again. That makes it the 57th time this month."

"Pardon me," Eggbert spoke. "I was merely wondering if her Highness would be interested... in a game of croquet."

ANOTHER ONE!?" The Red Queen yelled. Eggbert, panicked, responded, "Erm, yes, since her Grace loves it so, I thought to schedule as many as possible..."

The Red Queen glared at an internally panicking Eggbert, who thought that she would now call for his beheading, but was immensely relieved when she hissed, "Very well, then." He knew things would be easier from here, now that the Red Queen had a welcome distraction, and Rosie and Miminsy Mime would not have to stress themselves so much just to please her.

I’m sure a lot of people think this way too but I just want to clarify: all shipping I do is just for fun. I don’t legitimately think any characters in tadc would be a good romantic pair. The show isn’t written with romance in mind and I don’t think any characters are gonna “end up together”

I also think a lot of the characters have some baggage that wouldn’t be great for a healthy relationship. Like Caine obviously has an ego. He doesn’t fully understand how humans work and doesn’t seem open to any feedback. It’s obvious that Pomni and the rest of the cast don’t like him

that being saaaiiiiddd- I’m a huge sucker for supernatural romance and the idea of the two of them growing more comfortable in each others companionship is really cute to me. So in my little au, Caine is a lot more open to learn about humans and becomes less self focused, while Pomni learns more about how this game works and finds some wonder and beauty in it through him so if I post anymore ships and your thought is: these two would never be cannon!!! You’re exactly right. I’m just making them hold hands and love each other because I’m in serious need of fluff atm

Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby present... a humble excerpt from Eggbert's time in the Red Royal court, starring @thecrazymask83's OC, Rosie, and @just-miki's OC, Miminsy Mime! Part 1.

One fine day, Eggbert was mindlessly walking down the halls of the Red Royals' Castle.

As he walked, he looked up and saw Rosie, the Red Queen's lady-in-waiting. He called out to her, "Hi, Rosie! How are-"

But before he could finish, he could see that Rosie was muttering to herself under her breath, almost in the form of a song, "Everything must be perfect... perfect... PERFECT... PERFECT... every single tiny microscopic little thing must go..."

She walked away, still muttering. Eggbert was sad at the fact that he didn't even get the chance to say hi, when an angry yell from the throne room caught his attention-

"DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!?"

A terrified voice replied, "Y-yes, your Majesty!"

Eggbert thought to himself, "What's going on in there?" Another angry yell came, "Very well, then. NOW LEAVE MY PRESENCE!"

After a few seconds, the door opened, and out came Miminsy Mime, eyes full of tears.

Eggbert called out to her, "Miminsy! Miminsy, wait! Miminsy!"

"Leave me alone!" She cried, still sobbing. Eggbert could only watch as she ran and wept. Realizing what had happened, he worked up enough courage to talk to the Red Queen.

Peering through the doorway, he called, "Er... your Majesties?" thinking that all of the Red Royals were in the throne room. But it was just the Red Queen.

I spent around 5-6 hours on this comic, hope you all love it.

And yes, my headcanon is that Eggbert feels pity for everyone being abused, brainwashed and enslaved in the Red Royals' court, although he was their trusted advisor. This was the beginning of a rift between him and the Red Royals.

During his time in the court of the Red Royal Family, he would try to distract them by scheduling as many croquet games as possible, (because the Red Queen loves croquet) so his fellow courtiers, like Rosie and Miminsy Mime, wouldn't have to constantly stress over how to appease the Red Royals.

After Eggbert's banishment from court, he swore to overthrow the Red Royals, partly to end their abuses against their courtiers, his friends. To that end he defected to the White Queen... but that's a story for another time.

I can't promise any more Eggbert appearances for a long time, since I have so much schoolwork to do. But hopefully I will find the time to make another Eggbert comic.

In the meantime, enjoy the pretty pictures.
