Had a nice intimate moment shared between Jayce and Daniel too post-transformation. At least if there's anyone who understands a bit what it's like to go back and forth, it's Jayce! A lot more gentle than Daniel ever gets to experience, esp with another tracker, but it's nice.
Jayce is showing a bit more of a vulnerable side too so think he'd eventually switch back to being casual again. Trackers hardly ever show a softer side, but by now they realize they both have it, even if they don't admit it. Also don't think Daniel cries very often at all, and certainly not in front of others so... this is all kinds of levels of vulnerable atm.

I think there's a kind of fear that always comes with being in love. When letting someone else hold so much of you all at once. They could let you fall at any second if they wanted to. So how the hell do you get over that fear? Trust that they won't let you go, that they will hold you up, the same way that you hold them?
And then I thought about a hotel on Mars a long time ago. A place where, to be honest, I let Nureyev fall. No wonder he was scared, no wonder I was too. But how the hell are we supposed to get past that?
Animation for Treasure Planet done by Ken Duncan (Amelia), Sergio Pablos (Doppler), and T. Dan Hofstedt (Arrow).
From Ken Duncan's Instagram (better video quality btw):

Animation pencil test
-Captain Amelia
Another female character I’d animated who can go toe to toe with any of the other characters (smarter than them😉).
This was a fun scene to work on, with the choreography between all 3 characters.
Not exactly sure how we did this one, but I think I very quickly roughed out the first section of Amelia speaking to Doppler. Copies of my roughs were then given to Doppler’s animator Sergio Pablos who worked on his section while I roughed out her animation for the rest of the scene.
Arrow’s animator, T. Dan Hofstedt, started right away and allowed me to work out Amelia’s reactions to Arrow, based on T. Dan’s work.
With the rough pass of all characters approved we’d go back into the scene and tie-down the drawings, inbetween it, etc., making sure their eye direction was correct, and any physical contact, etc.
It’s a bit of a process, but it’s great to animate characters who react to the performances created by another animator/character."
A well-known but much maligned Captain of Starfleet, Jim Kirk is *the* example of an officer and a gentleman... IN SPACE.
Jim Kirk kind man who utilizes cunning when in battle, never plays god with his crew's safety (even when confronting actual Gods) and always acts with both the immediate and greater goods in mind. Plus he's a sex-positive nerd who loves geeking out with hos two besties! What more is there to say?
Amelia's an alien cat-woman who captains a sailing ship in space. She is extremely competent as a leader and navigator, despite the crew of shady characters she is hired to work with. She even survives a mutiny.

honestly we all would've remembered Star Trek Beyond much more fondly if it wasn't pretending to be Star Trek and just embraced what it was truly meant to be - which is a live action Treasure Planet (2002)
Fun fact my comfort movie is literally National treasure. Yes the nic cage movie. Yes the movie from 2004. Yes Riley Poole is the original t boy swag to me. Yes I am sad that it’s not available on my flight right now. Yes I’ve seen it hundreds of times and can recite the script from memory
