Summary: Wei Ying tips his head to indicate the roped-off room. “What’s going on over there?” “Oh!” Mo Xuanyu brightens. “We’re hosting a performance artist, one day only. His name’s Hanguang-Jun.” Kay's comments: This story never fails to gut me. Inspired by performance art of Marina Abramovic ("The Reunion of Lovers") where she reunited with her former lover Ulay. In this story, it's Lan Wangji being a performance artist under the pseudonym of Hanguang-Jun and without having planned it, him and Wei Wuxian reunite during one performance, still very much in sync and able to read each other's emotions. My heart aches for them, so much. This is beautifully written. Excerpt: Gelatinous minutes tick by until, with what feels like a dreamlike slowness, the guard ushers Wei Ying forwards. Stepping through the curtain, he looks around slowly: a scatter of people stand nearby in the roped-off viewing area, some looking at the art, but most not. Nobody speaks; there’s only the music, gentle and longing as Wei Ying turns, finally, to take his first look at Hanguang-Jun – Wei Ying freezes. Thinks, for one jarring moment, that he’s hallucinating; that he’s finally lost his mind. But no: the man sitting before him, dressed in flowing robes of white and pale blue, his long hair kept half up in an antique silver guan with a ribbon across his perfect forehead – the man staring back at him with wild disbelief, lips parted in shock; the man whose working name is evidently Hanguang-Jun – is Lan Zhan, his Lan Zhan, and the utter impossibility of it shatters Wei Ying’s heart into a million different pieces. It was an extreme, a desperate decision fueled by anger towards the entire cultivation world, a grief deeper than the deepest trenches in the ocean. The realization that Lan Wangji would now have to continue on living a second time without his beloved, where Wei Wuxian had died once again. Where, once more, his love had been taken from him by cruel, unrighteous men who thought they knew better, that they were doing the world a justice.

Lan Qiren had seen the state that his nephew had been in after Wei Wuxian’s first death, what Lan Wangji had done in his grief then, and he feared what Lan Wangji would do to himself if he was left alone with this repeated grief.

I'm pretty sure it starts with Derek getting stuck in the rain because his car is broken down and he gets lost in a neighborhood and ends up on stiles doorstep where stiles cat finds him? Stiles invites him in and feeds him cookies and derek ends up staying the night because he can't get ahold of Boyd to come get him.

But i remember it took place during wei yings time in gusu in the cloud recess arc. i could be wrong on some details but from my memory it has the lans finding out about some negative aspect of wei yings life in yunmeng and the abusive treatment he dealt with. he is then welcome in cloud recesss bc they see how smart and kind he is. i remember specifically there was an oc that was a lan elder who was very un-lan like. he was very loud very much what u would expect from a character that’s similar to wei ying. he became wei yings shifu so to speak. they would invent things together. they were both known for blowing up things a lot. the lan healers mentioned once how the jiang healers definitely knew about the abuse wei ying was subjected to. and that they would be bringing up them not living up to their duties as healers at a conference or something. and that not helping wei ying in the abusive situation was a major taboo amongst all the healers and there would be repercussions for that. i think they mention that wei ying is often in the back of cloud recess where all the elders lives. like he’s just always around that general area. it’s kind of jiang bashing and then also positive/protective lans. that’s all i can remember so sorry if that’s vague i just really enjoyed reading it and can’t find it for the life of me. thanks for any help u can give me!! and as always thanks so much for all ur hard work 💕💕💕

Lan Zhan is an imperial official (in the tax department i think). There is a war with the Wen going on and Wei Ying is ordered off to fight. Everyone thinks WY is either dead or MIA, but when the war is won, LZ goes to oversees a prisoner exchange and finds WY who has been on a work gang in a mine all this time (with A-Yuan who he's adopted & Mo Xuanyu). I remember MianMian is the brilliant general on the winning side. You find out that LZ & WY basically fell in love right before WY got shipped off to war, so it's a happy reunion. Oh! Also, LZ writes very popular poetry under a pseudonym! Um...i remember that LZ bought WY a goat they called Amethyst because before he was disappeared WY wrote LZ expressing the wish for such a goat (LZ buys the whole herd in the end). Jiang Yanli and the Peacock are married and are the new empress and emperor. There's an epilogue or end note where the author gives info about how their life turned out - this is all in the 500s CE. The only scene I can remember is WWX going with LWJ to visit his uncle and brother. They live rather far and on a hill. LWJ doesn't visit often, and this visit is very tense between WWX and LQR. Something about past WWX doing to LWJ, or causing LWJ to get into trouble when they were younger. Anyway, LWJ then gets angry with his uncle about the treatment directed towards WWX. I also can't remember if baby a-yuan is in this fic and present during the visit, as sometimes fics blend together. i’m looking for a destiel high school au where dean is popular(?)/lives a good life/ has both parents and sam/john doesn’t start out as an asshole. cas is depressed/potentially caring for a younger sibling/is bullied/not a great life. i distinctly remember a scene where dean goes to a bar and walks in on cas giving a bj in the bathroom for money. dean gives him a ride home, and cas asks if dean wants head, dean gets mad and tells him to get out. another scene is when cas gets super drunk(?), tries to shower, ends up slipping and falling, wakes up on the shower floor with bruises and drags himself to class. then in class a teacher asks him to reach up and grab and eraser from off a shelf and his shirt rides up and dean sees the bruises. the last part i remember (where i stopped reading) was dean brought cas home and they were dating(?), mary approves and is nice about dean inadvertently coming out. john walks in and starts yelling at cas about blackmailing him or smth and it turns out john had paid cas for a sxual act i think.

Ok so despite you remembering so much detail about the fic I didn't really think I'd be able to find it. But luckily for you I was wrong! It actually didn't take me that much searching.
