To address a certain nominee…
@sysmedsaresexist has been nominated numerous times! They are a very popular blog, with loads of syscourse, and a very large following. If they were to legitimately participate, they would absolutely do wonderfully — just as they have the past two years.
And. Well, that didn’t sit well with them. They messaged me privately and let me know that they would not be participating this year, to leave space for others to shine. No matter how many nominations they receive, they have opted out in order to leave others a fairer chance.
So no, SAS will not be in the brackets — but he will be in our hearts, and uh… it says here, “tell them winner can take me on a date.” So. That’s on the table.

Dear syscoursers,
15 hours remain in this round and my competitors are making their final stands
I feel I should, as well
I thought long and hard about what to post, but my elderly hospital roommate won't stop rambling gibberish in a low, rough voice that makes it seem like she's cursing everyone who passes the door (she talks in her sleep, this never stops)
While it's occasionally amusing, I haven't slept right in a week
The hospital morphine makes it hard to think, and considering the final count is 3 breaks, several torn ligaments, 1 plate, 7 screws, an anchor, and a set of wires to hold 3 of 5 bone fragments (the other two were basically dust), I'm on a lot of it
To be helpful, my partner suggested that I just post a picture of my cast with "Dude for President 2024" on it, but I told him I probably shouldn't post feet pics on tumblr for free
So here is my promise
If I win syscourse 2024
I'll post feet pics
Vote for me

Im gonna laugh if I do win top syscourser cause I don't even identify as a syscourser personally. I just dont deny that people would be valid and right in considering me one as I do have a couple stances I have commented on and do occasionally dabble in it XD

Beating the allegations by stating my partner has not and will not be doing voter fraud again. It was very funny however.

I just realized that in the syscourse brackets, the same user has several sideblogs listed on there. It would be funny if they made a poll with just their sideblogs lol.

would be great if coolest-dragon-bracket would stop lying
You called a trans person "a fucking weirdo" for reclaiming slurs they are allowed to reclaim. (you're not even trans lol?)
You immediately vagued them to your followers.
When someone challenged you on not calling queer people "fucking weirdos" for reclaiming slurs, you changed it to be about syscourse while also talking about them like they were a mass shooter. (The usage of "manifesto")
No one cares that you blocked someone or are annoyed by them. They care because you're acting ableist and queerphobic and yes, you did blast them to your followers. It was very easy to tell by going through your blog who you meant because you literally described the very first things someone would notice about the blog. They received hate mail because of you but they don't acknowledge those things and left it unposted.
You don't even have a DNI so there was no way for them to know you didn't want them interacting. Even after this happening you STILL don't have a DNI.

I promised speeches
This one is for the last round, the speech my opponent (and SASsy fan club owner), @circular-bircular, never got to see
ily
My next speech for the current round is coming shortly
Remember to vote wisely. The future is in your hands, and so is my biggest dick trophy
As always, thank you to my robot, for all its hard work and hardware
Tumblr media
Vote Square (please)
Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed attendees of life’s grand banquet where the dress code strictly says "No Circles,"
Here I stand before you, not just as a candidate, but as a monument to the square lifestyle – yes, the embodiment of what happens when someone actually reads the terms and conditions. My campaign, unlike my esteemed circular opponent, doesn’t revolve around, well, revolving. It’s built on the solid, four-cornered foundation of being straightforward, even if that means admitting I thought "Clubbing" involved sandwiches until very recently.
Now, I hear whispers from the back, probably spherical in nature, suggesting that being a square – in both the literal and the metaphorical sense – is akin to admitting you’re the human equivalent of a dial-up modem in a broadband world. To that, I say: Better to be a reliable dial-up that connects you to the world of knowledge than a flashy broadband that buffers every time a decision needs to be made.
My opponent, bless their circular heart, champions the "round-about" approach. But have you ever been stuck behind someone taking a roundabout in real life? It’s not progressive; it’s dizzying. They claim to offer a smooth path, yet fail to mention it’s essentially running in circles, the political equivalent of "I’ll think about it."
Being square means you’re not afraid to be the corner piece in the puzzle of society. Yes, we might not roll smoothly through social events, preferring the charm of a well-planned itinerary over spontaneous combustion. But when the chips are down, or in our case, perfectly aligned and not prone to rolling off the table, it's the square that provides shelter, not the circle that’s off somewhere trying to find itself.
In the poetic dance of politics, where words often circle around meaning without ever landing on it, I offer the square’s promise: direct, honest, and admittedly sometimes so straightforward that it’s mistaken for backward. But isn’t there a beauty in knowing exactly where you stand? In a world spinning with uncertainties, the square remains unmoved, focused, and, dare I say, refreshingly predictable.
So, as you ponder your choice in this electoral dance-off, ask yourself: Do you want leadership that circles around the issues, or one that squares up to them? Do you seek the comfort of a well-rounded speech, or the clarity of a point well made?
Vote square. Because in this ever-rotating world, being grounded isn’t just a stance; it’s a statement. A statement that says, "Yes, I might be the type to bring a calculator to a party, but when you need to split the bill, who’s the real hero?"
Thank you

Apparently we got nominated for the new syscourse brackets going around, which after some hesitation we said sure to cause like... worst case scenario, if it goes toxic we can just ignore it; best case scenario it could be some silly fun
But honestly? We will never say we AREN'T a blog that engages in syscourse because we objectively have in regards to the past and certain topics in the more traditional sense (anti-tulpa terminology really being the only strong stance beyond "cant we just chat about human experiences), but we honestly don't really engage in the argument culture that is surrounding syscourse a lot?
That isn't to say we haven't and that isn't to say XIV's personal blog over there hasn't had its toxic syscourse moments, but the reason we engage in the tag every now and again is cause we follow it cause sometimes there is some good room and genuine topics worth discussing and we really enjoy that exchange of experiences and perspectives.
And so objectively, yeah I guess we do Do syscourse, it's just weird cause we engage with it primarily just to share ways of thinking and more like... philosophical and theoretical discussions than say any real arguments or stances or what not.
Either way, I digress. Just a little small chuckle @ myself honestly.

it does genuinely annoy me tbh that everytime someone wants to vague nonsense about me to discredit me or make me seem bad, they have to leave out and make up random stuff which always reveals their ableism and queerphobia
eg. this person just doesn’t like what I have to say about syscourse on my blog, so they blocked me and made a big self-righteous post about how having reclaimed slurs on my blog makes me a “fucking weirdo”
then when they receive pushback for this they switch it up to “omg he has a MANIFESTO on his pinned about a topic I disagree with”, revealing what the actual problem was to begin with. the slurs were literally not the problem and were used as an excuse to paint me as scary and violent.
but presenting it as “this mentally ill cult survivor has a syscourse post as their pinned so they don’t have to keep talking about it, and is also a trans man who reclaims slurs for himself” would be a lot different from “this FUCKING WEIRDO wrote A MANIFESTO about SYSCOURSE. WHY would they even care omg they must be a violent scary person!”
but as a person with DID who is a cult survivor it’s very obvious why I would “care that much about it.”, especially if you bothered to read the posts and not just see that a person with DID is talking about something you disagree with, so now you have to turn the ableism up on them
you can obviously disagree with me but this isn’t how you go about it lol. you could have blocked me and just put “people who use slurs dni” without any explanation or statement made about it instead of trying to make me seem like a violent crazy person for not living up to your standard of survivor/queer.
also to make things clear: literally all I did was reblog a post on my dash about a cool dragon competition, from an OP who had no dni and still doesn’t, and they vagued me by calling me a “fucking weirdo” and likening my actions to that of a school shooters. (”manifesto” is a very loaded term to be using against a trans person right now but ok.)
