Hello, all my LOYAL CAMPAIGN FANS FROM LAST YEAR!

It's a pleasure to see you all again, and I hope to win your vote this time, even if I lost in battle against my opponent last year.

This year, I want to give a shoutout to @prose-among-the-trees, my competitor for round one. The instant the brackets came out, Prose actually came to my DMs, and we had a really nice conversation.

I'll be honest. I've been far, far less into syscourse this year. So much of it has been frustrating -- people on both sides refusing to acknowledge anyone else as a person, or understand the trials we all go through. So to have someone come to my DMs, despite us clearly not having many of the same "syscourse views," and treating me like a person? It was a wonderful treat!

I know my competitor is a newer face to syscourse, but I expect all of you to be very very nice to them.

Even while you vote against them. Because you'll be voting for me.

everyone should vote for ratinacoat not because i like their posts but because i dont condone AI and the blog theyre up against is AI

I do want to say, I’m fairly certain syscoursebot is not AI in the same way as chatGPT and other similar giants. Syscoursebot has been around since before the boom in AI; the system it uses (I think it’s called aidungeon or something) does not have the same environmental impact as other AI, as it isn’t some enormous scraping machine, and I believe the user has to input the source material themselves. Like I get it — but in this case, it’s vital to understand that there’s a loooot of different types of AI out there.

As far as the syscourse brackets are concerned, I don’t think I’ll do well 😅

I’m a yapper with strong opinions, and I’m not organized about it. I also have an issue with the majority of syscord, systok, and sysblr. All of it pisses me off. I’m a professional hater and I’m not bothered about pissing people off here.

This isn’t to justify when I don’t do well by the way, I just am pretty new to the organized syscourse scene. I’m still going to try my best though! I don’t know what challenges are going to ensue, but I genuinely can’t wait.

I had a realization, while the great Rat may have lost to the AI , it would be a little funny if the AI beat Sophie in round 2 💀

I'm so glad I don't have to go up against her for a NUMBER of reasons that don't even involve the fact I'd definitely lose. If the AI wins it'll be so funny.

Dear syscoursers,

15 hours remain in this round and my competitors are making their final stands

I feel I should, as well

I thought long and hard about what to post, but my elderly hospital roommate won't stop rambling gibberish in a low, rough voice that makes it seem like she's cursing everyone who passes the door (she talks in her sleep, this never stops)

While it's occasionally amusing, I haven't slept right in a week

The hospital morphine makes it hard to think, and considering the final count is 3 breaks, several torn ligaments, 1 plate, 7 screws, an anchor, and a set of wires to hold 3 of 5 bone fragments (the other two were basically dust), I'm on a lot of it

To be helpful, my partner suggested that I just post a picture of my cast with "Dude for President 2024" on it, but I told him I probably shouldn't post feet pics on tumblr for free

So here is my promise
