Color meanings...

Brown means warmth and comfort, Tan means energy and creativity, and Beige means elegance and simplicity.

I call it the Root Bear Holothere flag for a reason, as the colors remind me of such, and usual root beer drinks (dependant on how you're drinking it) has this comforting taste and simplicity to how it's made.

A lot of holotheres I have met have created warm enclosures for themselves, finding joy in the community that oftentimes endulges in creativity, an elegant display of how our nonhumanity is expressed.

In a month, Westside would have its grand re-opening. A timeline that for what it's worth, is pressurising, and exactly Via's brand of chaotic. There's been endless interviews, for new staff ⏤ re-contracting the majority of previous ones, out of the good of her heart.

But new faces, as handpicked by D'Angelo, are a necessity. Westside would operate for an array of things; shows; music; galleries; displays ⏤ laundering, and various tax illegalities. (those empty seats ⏤ if there are any ⏤ are sold, at least on paper.) She needs trustworthy, pretty ⏤ and those with a little razzamatazz.

She's filled slots for weeklies, and the occasional long running show that's a steady income. She's got a lot of ground to cover, even if in comparison to most, it's an awful lot less pressure given her backing, and personal circumstances.

But Via wants it all. And she'll bring a buzz to the place that has people talking ⏤ about her, D'Angelo; the magic that she'll resurrect on the extra special nights. But until then, Westside needs something different. Even if, she likes to think that's her.

So she's sat, a few members of her tailored panel (an odd selection, if anyone looks too deeply) of colleagues that might, or might not have a personal investment in the place. They're seated on the velvet seats of the second row, Via's got her lets kicked up on the seats in front of her, lazy scribbles on paper, as she flicks through applications for showrunners, or the odd valet ⏤ some off-tune singer that she's wondering might sound better if Via sliced her windpipe.

"Darling, do you have anything else ⏤" she's muttering it, to the stage ⏤ the people beside her: "⏤ I want drama, excitement, sugarpop." She glances once to those sat in the seats with her, watching. Assessing; offering opinions. And she chuckles, lipstick smile wide, turning back absently: "I want you to make the crowd wet, and wanting." Tears, or otherwise.

post-TFA Dez starts calling himself cistrans because he feels those words both equally apply and don't apply to him. he ultimately changes his pronouns to he/they but the more important thing to him is that people refer to him with neutral terms

Syndy coins a term that in English would be girlbyss, from girl + abyss. she thinks this is extremely self-explanatory but no one else does. gender gives her a certain amount of dread (which is partly where the abyss part comes from) and it'll be a while until she feels comfortable enough in her life to interrogate that

Mizzat's gender is illegal in 3/5 nAkkanswl. not literally, but vi thinks it's a very funny way to describe a gender that the dominant swl sun religion would NOT approve of because it's a moon-related gender. vi does not mention this fact to most people, though, because of the potential for them to think it's sacreligious or make assumptions about whether vi actually understands gender at all

Imjen is torn between trying to have the most I Am A Real Swl gender and feeling like zi is just not that. that's not what being an android is for zir. but what IS gender and how does one do it Correctly. zi is exhausted of these lines of inquiry like everything else tbh

marcus flex ; marcus is a sba hall of famer and retired basketball icon, working as an coach for the windenburg stallions and running his basketball camp in windenburg for young and talented basketball players, marcus is highly respected in his field of work. marcus knows talent when he sees it and that's why he's reserving a spot for ishmael reardon as of currently. like penny, marcus is extremely strict and serious about his craft and getting things done and his method is tough love, when he yells, it's not out of angers it's out of love and many players learn to recognize the pattern.

donovan al fraser ; donovan is a sba hall of famer like marcus and actually played in the sba with marcus for some time before retired back in the mid 90s. donovan retired back in the early 2000s and has become a private basketball coach since then. a close friend of brian reardon, donovan took up the task of mentoring his son ishmael for marcus's basketball camp in windenburg. donovan skilled with the ball and technique, ishmael is already steps ahead of his peers in the field and is granted top stops in the big league.

SYNDIEEEEE i haven't talked about them a lot yet, so it's good to get a chance to!

🎮: How would they play? What canon units would they synergize well with?

Syndie's gimmick is based around swapping damage types -- the two system members that swap front for combat deal Mental and Reality damage respectively, with slightly different effects depending on what member it is -- an incantation that's an enemy debuff for one might be an ally buff for the other, an attack might have secondary effects that depend on the damage type they deal, etc.

I haven't gotten a lot of good crunch when it comes to their exact mechanics yet, but due to the damage type switching they're probably pretty AP generous and work well as a general sub-DPS -- able to wait and have their incantations gain levels in the back of the queue while other characters use moves.

I still have no idea what their ultimate does.

💭: What is their Insight 2 costume like? Is there any significance behind that change?

That's a really good question -- I still don't have much of a design for them in general! The most I have is "long-haired, completely invisible face (like a blank overlay, basically), wearing a cool dress probably." They'd probably get a fancier dress and maybe do something interesting with their hair at I2?

There's also an alternate answer to this, which is to give them a costume of some kind. Specifically a partial fursuit* (arms+tail, maybe a partial head as well). The problem with that is I haven't figured out what their fursona would actually be -- I doubt Syndie could internally agree on something standard, and it'd be a little too early to get extremely weird with it.

*Yes, furries (and alterhumanity, and online discussions of plurality) are pre-2000s, this is not anachronistic.

Pierre; whatever he wants. Asa; a basic bitches order of broth. But, she adores him, so, basic it is. Audra, anything... Vegetarian; no meat, no bones. Ava, same. Aria — a mirror of Via's order; tonkotsu. Lee, something resembling steak — bones, included.

She gave them twenty minutes. Thus, after that window — she orders a spread of half the menu to accompny. Was she going to get shit for dumping it all at HQ?

But how else, were she to make such delicious ramen deliveries. Ichiran is not exactly close. And she, and Mini had already made a pit stop for desserts; cakes, mini ones, as he requested.

And when she and Mathias head inside, she's trilling the announcement of her arrival: "Impromptu lunches — we should do these more," the bags, are carefully lowered down, steam still escaping the gaps in the seals. She doesn't mention to known risks of gatherings more frequently. But — "They're such delightful surprises. Kisses, amori."
