Paul and Elle for sure got a bit of foile a deux about them but like, at least they can both admit their wrongs and find a way through the pain together. the whole thing about elle and paul is that they are both tremendously flawed individuals who love each other enough to bounce back from situations that would kill any other relationships.
gail cant move on because she can't see herself as anything other than a constant victim of other people. it makes her an interesting, but not particularly likable character.
far be it from me to compliment neighbours 2019 about ANYTHING but i do think that they got gail lewis right. portraying her as someone who is so deeply in denial she has to blame elle, her daughter, robert's victim, as at fault so she can survive was the right way to go. it gives her depth, explains why she can't stay, and also explains away why she and elle have such a seemingly strained relationship.

my fatal flaw is that if i don't want to do something i just won't do it like mama raised a quitter for sure.. i'll be doing something and suddenly be like damn what if i just didn't 🤔. very freeing but also i suffer so many consequences

One of my reoccurring thoughts about Eerie Indiana is that whatever happens in the future, after we leave them, Janet Donner is so important to it that Milkman Marshall goes back in time to ensure that Marshall saves her. He HAS to save her. Idk. Feel like that means something.

there was a violent bullying altercation at my job this week between two students. admin refused to escalate the situation to the principal because she was busy doing prep interviews. my boss was so angry she cried and threatened to resign. if you were curious about my week.

Back in Jersey Halloween was my favourite holiday. When else can a non-adult wear a disguise and roam around after dark forcing people to give you candy for no good reason and then trash their house if they don’t? But here in Eerie, things are different. There’s no telling who or what you might bump into around these parts.
