I just completed celebrity20in20 over on my DW journal. You can check em out HERE if you like.

This was HARD! making something on a 100x100 square doesn't seem like a lot. until you have to come up with 20 individual concepts, then find images, then execute them. The scale being so small is also the total opposite to what I usually do when making gifs. Even so, I really enjoyed this challenge. I hope to do more in the future.

okay just as a treat. another elle and andrew snippet symbolism yummy:

Andrew held out his hand to her. He opened it. Dad’s signet ring was sitting on his palm. It’s several sizes too large for Andrew’s pinkie finger. Even if it did fit, the back has worn thin and sharp. “You can have it if you want.” He says, in the same neutral tone he says just about everything. The ring has the Robinson crest on the front, but after twenty years in Dad’s possession it is dinged, scratched and scuffed to the point of being all but illegible.  It would take a lot of work to be wearable.  “He left it for you.” Elle says, in lieu of answering. Andrew shrugs his shoulders and stuffs the ring back into his pocket with his keys and coins.  “Yeah, well I don’t want it.” He responds, in clear contrast to the fact that he’s carrying it on his person. “And you didn’t get anything. So…” Elle wishes very badly that a great big pit will open up and swallow her whole. Or, better yet: That she’d dived into Dad’s open grave while she had the chance.

elle and leo both certainly have the dubious honour of being paul's favourite children. I also think they are the two who are most receptive to favouritism. They both came from families where they were distinctly NOT the favourite child so it makes sense they would drift towards Paul, who will favour them.

would it be a bit extreme if i said that elle & andrew would kill for the kind of love that paul has for leo?

No, I don't think so. Elle would see how Paul treats Leo and start saying shit like Maybe Robert was onto something. Like she wants him to love her like that so badly it's literally like a disease eating her alive from inside out.

I think Andrew would think Paul was taking the piss at first too cause WDYM dad was capable of actually loving people in a nice way the whole time he literally just chose to abuse me in particular. could be his villain origin story frankly.

not that he doesn't abuse leo also, it's just a markedly different, less obvious way to how badly he treats Andrew.

It feels to Andrew like he and Elle must have different fathers. Because Andrew’s father certainly never took him horse riding, or car racing. He didn’t buy Andrew’s favourite breakfast after an argument. They never ate lunch together, or shared coffee or smoothies or massages or any of the other million things that Elle and Paul apparently did that Andrew would never have even thought about. Elle’s Dad seems like he might have been someone you’d want to be around. Andrew’s father, so far as he could tell, was an angry, miserable person whose solitary goal in life was to make the life of anyone dumb enough to stay within ten feet of him miserable too. Andrew included. Andrew especially.
