totally not a self indulgent/projecting ask but Peter being sick while his boyfriends are at work. he’s taking care of himself alright for the most part but after another round of sickness, he starts a hot bath and almost immediately falls asleep in it, which is where his two lovers find him a few hours later, the water gone lukewarm.

(this is totally not based on what happened to me today except i only slept for like one hour and my sister wome me up knocking on the door because she had ro use the bathroom lmao)

Tony and Stephen usually go to work way before Peter even wakes up, so of course they have no way of knowing that Peter woke up feeling pretty sick. And neither does Peter tell them by phone…

Peter wants to be brave about it, knowing Tony has many meetings and Stephen has at least three surgeries. And he is brave about it, but then he also gets a lot worse and ends up passing out in the bath.

Tony finds him first and nearly has a heart attack, thinking something terrible happened. He curses at Peter when he wakes up, saying how scared he was. Peter would probably burst into tears. He feels bad for scaring Tony, plus being dehydrated and sick and hungry and just overall very sick.

Tony apologises and shushes Peter while grabbing a towel and helping the poor boy out of the now cold water. He also helps Peter find some comfy and warm clothes, and then crash onto the sofa.

Stephen comes home then, just as Peter is recovering a bit with a tall glass of juice, but still looking very miserable. Tony is cooking dinner in the meantime. Stephen goes into doctor-mode right away when he spots the state Peter is in. Peter fusses a bit and tries to bat Stephen away, but secretly he loves it.

The three of them end up eating on the sofa that night, and Peter gets head scratches and a foot massage from both his loving boyfriends. He still feels pretty bad, but at least he is taken care of now.

Was it peaceful when you worked together on your menu instead of trauma dumping a menu with your girl that’s a friend? Was it peaceful when thoughts of her calmed you down from a panic attack? Was it peaceful when she offered to make your pregnant sister a meal? Was it peaceful when she paid attention to every person in the restaurant and made sure they had what they needed to grow along side both of you? Was it peaceful when you promised her your full focus and attention? Was it peaceful when she brought you something warm to drink and tried to assure you that she was fine when you dropped the ball? Was it peaceful when she adjusted the margins to meet your needs?

Was it peaceful when you continued to push her out and away and she stayed and stayed and stayed? Will it be peaceful when she finally leaves???

I’m not saying Syd is a saint. I don’t want her to be. She has surely made mistakes of her own and has her own obstacles to overcome. But when it comes to who is his peace and who is perceived as peace it becomes clear who that truly is.
