The swimming community literally all coming out making excuses for a dude who participated in a white supremacist insurrection is gross but not surprising. Having trouble adjusting to life as a “civilian” non-swimmer is not an excuse to participate in an insurrection with white supremacists. The fact that two different swimming publications posted a letter that basically just makes excuses for him is disgusting. What’s even more disgusting is how many comments were eating it up and the commenters who are critical (like myself) were told to stop being divisive. Like are you fucking shitting me?

A little surprising to me was the age factor in several races...
