How do you hold your buoy, above the knee or below? A low buoy position can help get your feet on the surface but requires good rotation and strong core position, with a longer lever demand. It can prevent cheat kicking when doing pull work. It’s best suited for the long axis strokes of freestyle and backstroke. A high buoy position may help keep your hips high but requires good leg position, and foot control.
