I try not to post too much about antis because I want the proship tags to be filled with happiness more so than rants, but I haven’t seen anyone point these two people out much so here I go.

Okay so Britney Venti. Basically she’s a pickme who hates other women, shits on sex workers and lolicons alike. She also likes to join discord servers that are properly marked and labeled as the exact thing she hates just to “expose them”.

At first she’ll try to shit on sex workers by saying stuff like “well I’m just looking at the fact and the psychology about how sex workers are always depressed and aboooosed” and then she’ll turn around and make fun of these same women with really petty low jabs like “wow she looks so retarded and talks funny” (a Venus angelic video iirc) to top all of that off, she’s also apparently dating the incel king himself think before you sleep SO.

And to be clear, I’m a little murky on how good sex work actually is for women myself. I honestly don’t know and I have some misgivings about it, but the difference between Britney and I, is that I’ll never make fun of SWer’s abuse stories, body shame them or victim blame them for what they’ve been through. Basically, Britney sweetie, maybe your brain hasn’t quite caught up to this type of nuance yet, but you can dislike sex work without hating sex workers and being misogynistic.

Nothing makes me more insane is the cognitive dissonance when you bring up how if sex work is work, why aren't we teaching it as a career option? Influencing, too, even? Even if legally a child couldn't do it until they turned 18- is it immoral to teach your kid "sex work" like how you tell your kid to go around asking to mow or plow people's yards in the winter/summer for extra cash? Or accompany their relative to their work and shadow them for a day? Even children at 14 can get a worker's permit that limits their hours and sets a curfew - why not have one for sex work, right? It's just like flipping a burger, right? "Incest" just becomes teaching your child a new skill.

The "sex work is work" crowd can never think it out to its logical conclusion: that kids en masse would be abused, raped and groomed to a scale far worse than we have now.

Even if the "sex work is work" discussion never reaches the levels of seriousness to start discussing the scenarios above, we already see psuedopedophilia being acted out in porn and by prostituted women/escorts, sexualized online influencers, and it becomes actual pedophilia at a certain point when we can't even verify if a porn "actor" is a child or not. The sexualization of children is still being pushed to a degree where actual children can hide in the abuse material, and nobody can see a difference. It is not a jump of logic to think that if kids are already showing up in porn how far will society go to defend this?

This is why sex work is work is not empowering, and it is the reason why it will never be taken seriously - because sex is not and never has been transactional.

If you truly think it is work, then either admit what you are advocating for and be logically consistent, or stop conflating sex with yard work or retail or fast-food work. These two ideas cannot coexist. Either you think it is a viable career option or you don't. Enough cognitive dissonance.

new to radblr so i thought i should make an intro post.

hi! im chloe. im 13 years old and a radfem. im gender critical + anti-sex work + anti-beauty industry. im pro-choice + pro-science but most of all pro-woman!!

i’ve been interested in politics + activism since i was like. 10 lol. my mom is a very politically active person & 2020 was a very political year. i started rlly getting into feminism 2 or so years ago? when i started middle school i started having to deal with sexism from almost all of my male peers. i live in a relatively conservative area, so a lot of my male peers were absolute dicks to me. i started out really believing in choice feminism (as most people do) but during the fall of 2022 i discovered radical feminism and i realized that i really agreed with it!! i’ve been lurking on radblr ever since.

i also really love riot grrrl. my favorite band is bratmobile (hence the user) but i also really love sleater-kinney, le tigre, jack off jill, and of course bikini kill. not riot grrrl but i also love the clash.

fully unrelated to feminism but i really like musical theater (my favorite musical is rent!!) + writing + rabbits!! aussi, j'etudie français!
