#ask to tag #unreality #flash warning #art #gif #photomanipulation #ganbreeder #<- for the creatures in the first 2 gifs #horror #surrealism #liminal spaces #weirdcore #creatures #i ended up using the non-lossy versions bc they were better for the effect i wanted #+ i wanted the last one specifically to look like it was corrupting the camera kinda like radiation #but thought id still include the lossy versions cuz theyre neat #the third gif is based off a reoccuring thing from my dreams #some sort of bright white object usually a big orb or disk #that you cant look at directly bc its so bright. its like a welding arc #you can usually touch or move it #it doesnt turn red like that in the dream or glitch out the camera tho thats just for the spooky #well the glitchyness is more bc the non-lossy version compressed the gif badly #so i figured id just play into the compression effect and make it fit the mood better #honestly turned out much cooler. limitations in art etc etc

It’s always funny to me when I post a drawing in a different style I commonly use or whatever and people go “Omg you’re THAT artist?? I never connected the dots” and I’m like really, how did you not know, I feel like all the work I put out is pretty similar. And then I look at the difference between the fun art I make vs the bigger part pieces I make and it’s like.

Ok yeah I get it. That’s fair.

#legend of zelda #loz #twilight princess #loz tp #i'm still reeling that someone sent me an ask about this one.. that they took the time to find my tumblr and tell me they liked it #it really meant a lot; thank you to anyone that stops to leave comments like that. they make me happy #but yeah! here's the usual symbolism ramble:#i thought it'd be cool to have the 'spirits' flowing one way and the cats walking through them the other way #to kinda show the difference in life inhabiting the village in the past and present #link's face is covered because impaz was just waiting for 'the hero' so his clothes are what matters; not his face #and it (hopefully) gives a surreal and intangible sense to 'the hero' she could only hope would actually show up #you can feel free to interpret the glowy blue sheikah as ghosts or just as memories of the past! i couldn't decide either way #the one on the bottom left is oot impa since she's implied to be the village founder. so i guess she would be a ghost actually?#fan art #my art #project stuff #and ahhh the book-- everyone's stuff is so beautiful!!#especially the writing. some of the fics made me really tear up and some were so fun and clever. i really love them #a lot of them captured the sheer burden of the role of the sheikah; all of the time and grief and doubt #i know i always say this stuff about every project but. the people i get to work with in these are truly so skilled every time

You are capable of criticizing something and still enjoying it. Criticism should add to your enjoyment of the thing. Contextualizing and analyzing media is the only true sign that you enjoy it instead of just consume it. Stop selling the straggling iotas of your final brain cell to a fascio-capitalist system that wants to gorge you til you burst. Not consuming anything is better than blindly inhaling whatever is put in front of you without discretion.

Be an intellectual and have respect for yourself so you can have some sugary Wattpad fanfic and a Netflix reality TV show for dessert.

I wonder what the historical trends in art would be in the empires world. s2 seemed to have a lot more statues and mural art, mostly religious stuff. Was there ever a modernist movement? Did the introduction of chromia pigments influence color trends? Knowing that wcsmp takes place in the same world and GW Shelby came from a whole school of witches, is magic ever utilized in art?
