The official “Boxtown” account shared the news in a social media post on Thursday.

“Hello all! Just wanted to offer a quick update on Boxtown. We will be recasting the role of Bill (previously played by Tara Strong). We’ll have more info soon on open auditions,” they wrote. “Thanks for y’all’s understanding as we re-orient and figure out the next steps.”

“Boxtown” also shared a longer statement on both Instagram and X.

“This decision was due to a trend among Tara’s recent online activity, including posts that promote controversial messages regarding the peoples of Palestine currently being affected by the ongoing Israel-Palestine crisis.”

“We believe that our public platform gives us a duty to be careful when it comes to hateful messages and misinformation online. This extends to our cast and crew. This was not a difficult decision,” the statement said.

“Our hearts are with the Palestinian and Israeli children and families being affected by the ongoing conflict. People should be able to live freely without being threatened by constant abuse and terror. We are hoping for the best,” the post added.

Strong had previously condemned the terror attacks on Israel with several tweets.

Hi, why are you a big fat hypocrite posting about palestine and yellowjackets while condemning other people loving their shows?

I couldn't find anything in my own research about Yellowjackets, but if anyone has any direct links saying they're supporting Israel I'd immediately stop posting about it!!

I do think that you cannot be pro-palestine while promoting shows written by racists and Zionists, some of these shows being on huge streaming services like Disney that've donated large sums of money to funding this ongoing genocide (one of MANY happening).

There's even MANY posts related to pjo and good omens and almost all the shows I listed - bc I was a huge enjoyer of them too!!

People were more than happy to bury Harry Potter when all the shit about JKR started getting spread around, this is thousands of kids dead and Still dying, in part due to countries and companies funding it alongside celebrities supporting it (which causes less ppl to fight back!!)

Little Joan needs surgery!!!

Joan Al-Habil is has been repeatedly hospitalized due to severe gastrointestinal problems and overwhelming fatigue. This poor girl has been to multiple facilities and seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive testing (as extensive as is possible in Gaza’s collapsed medical system), even having to endure an unsedated endoscopy, which I know from personal experience is extremely uncomfortable.

She has now been diagnosed with severe gastritis due to starvation and hazardous living conditions. Remember, she and her family are living on the streets, which are cold and wet due to winter rain. Homelessness, stress, exposure to the elements, her previous injury when the IOF firebombed her tent, and malnutrition all conspire to sap little Joan of her strength.

Her condition is so serious that she now requires surgery. Gastritis very rarely requires surgery to treat, so this is an indication of how dire her situation is. In addition to surgery, she is going to need treatment to manage her symptoms.

The cost of this is very very high. One consultation alone cost $650 USD. Joan’s family is going to need your support to pay for her treatment.

Please, this little girl is in so much pain and misery. Her parents are watching her waste away as her condition worsens daily.
