Donatello stared as his latest customer left, happy with their new item. As expected, his friendship bracelets were popular. He pulls out his cell phone to text his success to Casey Junior. He switches to his conversation with Mikey, but before he could ask him to make more candies for his stall, a new customer walks up. Or ... Floats?

Not one to judge potential customers, Donatello turns to the hand, and tries to sound like the kid he appeared to be. "Enjoying the competition? I have souvenirs if you want them, snacks if you're hungry. It's all for affordable prices."

The hand flicks blue dust in his face, and Donatello rears back, falling off his chair.

He woke up, still in his cell. His ninpo shuddered, as something within his very soul took him apart.

"Stop fighting it." Krang One says, "Sooner or later, your soul will belong to us."

A chill runs down Don's spine. Already, he felt the bloodlust, the coldness in his soul. He wouldn't last much longer.

"Stubborn." The Krang whispers. "It won't last long."

And then he was gone.

And then he was many.

He was Krang.

He stood before his brothers, and held out a hand, forming a weapon around it. A gun, like what those useless humans and yokai liked to use. He aims it for Leonardo's head and squeezed the trigger.

"Donatello!" Michelangelo exclaimed. The name wasn't familiar. He wasn't Donatello. He was a Krang. He was-

"Donatello!" Michelangelo says again. The voice wasn't right. Too young. Too ...

"Uncle Tello!" The voice screams, and Donatello looks over to find Casey Junior next to him.

He was in a large room. People milled about, some looking at him from nearby. There was a bin of t-shirts next to him, knocked over.

"You're okay. You're safe." Casey says, putting his hand on Don's shoulder.

"You should kill me." Donatello whispers. "It's still there. I'm still a threat." Any moment the Krang would consume him. Use his soul as a template for weapons. Just like they did with Raph.

Casey pulls his hand away as if he was burnt. "Not again."

"Casey, I can't-"

"I can't!" Casey almost sobs out the words. "I-"

Don watches as Casey breaks down sobbing, covering his mouth.

After a second, Donatello pulls the kid into a hug. "Hey. I'm sorry. It's a big ask."

"I keep doing this. I keep almost killing people."

"No!" Donatello says, perhaps too forcefully. "Case, you're a healer. A healer in a bad situation, but you don't kill people."

Casey looks like he has more to say, but he keeps it in, wrapping his arms around himself as if to keep himself together.

Donatello wonders if he should pry. Or comfort. He wishes he could just fix the problem, but he was the problem here.

"You don't have to worry about the Krang anymore, Unc- Donatello."

He trails off. Casey offers him a flat smile. "You were hallucinating. I understand."

Don winces. Did he screw up? Was that why he wasn't calling him Uncle anymore? Still, he can feel his brain beginning to un-fog. He realized his soul didn't feel cold and his ninpo felt like his own. "I- Right. Uh, I am sorry. For ... For suggesting you ..."

Donatello shudders, trying to push away the residual brain fog. Trying to push away the memories.

"I suppose we should clean up." He says, brushing himself off and trying not to act unsettled.

Thought it’d be nice for ppl to see the sillies refs! They’re full of crimes and live hyrule like it’s a comedy action flick (meanwhile the rest of the audience is going through their horror drama era).

(This totk au is called Familiar Familiar, and is basically a self indulgent “what if Zelda doesn’t get slingshot back in time” art series, and then became “there is lore and i am about to make it everybody’s problem”.)

Vampires don't usually age by getting grey hair and wrinkles, but Fidds hurries his aging process by using the memory gun!!

Stan helps him outta the habit, but it still takes it's toll, y'know?

And, I totally love the idea of Old Stan not being able to hide his fondness because he just can't stop wagging his tail when he's with the people he loves 🙏 So cute 🥹

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them

But anyways, wouldn't it be kinda funny if Zuko accidentally burned Katara's hair tho? Aofkqldkkajfjd

PIDW fanartist Shen Yuan seeing a beautiful man at the art supply store who looks just like the protagonist and trying to (not very subtly) take reference pictures. He starts coming to the store more often, memorizing the clerk’s schedule. While hanging around this part of town he accidentally stumbles upon the other locations the beautiful clerk frequents.

Luo Binghe couldn’t be more excited about his beautiful, mysterious stalker, and starts dressing more provocatively, putting himself in more compromising poses, dropping some of his things from the stalker to find. (Insane)

Shen Yuan is becoming very concerned about his favorite model. He’s wearing less clothing than usual, and what he does wear tends to be ripped. Can he not afford new clothes? He more clumsy than before. That could be caused by a brain injury… IS HIS FAVORITE MODEL IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP????? Oh god oh no, and he dropped a napkin with his number on it, that must be a cry for help!

Next time they meet, Shen Yuan pulls Binghe behind the store. Oh my, what does he wasn’t this privacy for~~~~

“I know a lot of DV shelters don’t accept men, so if you need somewhere to stay you are welcome to live with me for as long as you need.”

This is the first time they’ve exchanged more than pleasantries.

Summer Times

Hi! I'm finally back from my two week abroad trip!

Hello although I'm not competing in the tmntaucomp I still wanted to give out blankets

I have Manny kinds and textures so no problem with sensory issues. Whether watching or competing everyone should get to stay cozy!

(Obligatory not a competitor disclaimer.)

Donatello smiles gently. Kindness for the sake of kindness should always be treasured.

Examining the blankets, he picks a weighted purple one that had red, blue, and orange knots in it. The colors clashed, but they still belonged together. Purple needed them.

That was something he could only admit now that they were gone.

After a second, he grabs a second of the same appearance. "For my friend." He says.

Maybe, just maybe, he can prevent his teenaged self from sharing this heartache. Of words left unsaid. Of moments unappreciated.

"Thank you so much." He says with a light hearted smirk that forces him out of the mire that is his mind. "If you ever want to buy something, I'll be sure to give you a discount."

Final Bug Fact:

The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!

I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!

I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.

Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.
