Pride Scarves!

I really love working on these scarves - initially I was happy to simply work with the interplay of color while challenging myself with a twill pattern to help make the scarves drape better.

I started with Ace Pride, because it's so often overlooked and Ace people are often excluded from queer spaces, despite being queer themselves. This came to me as both obvious enough to those in the know, but subtle enough that those not in the know would simply see something (hopefully) sophisticated.

The Bi flag being only three colors presented a different kind of design challenge but I really like it - it looks less like a plain plaid and more like a tartan. <3

The beautiful pastel number is, of course, the trans pride flag. Somehow, despite being five rows, it still comes out looking more like a tartan and less like a plaid. Once I was satisfied with the color interplay, I began moving into weave structure, interlacing it with different lace structures. I really love working on these, though I only take a few at a time to keep from being burned out. If you have any questions or comments on the items, please feel free to comment! anywayyyy the gist is that there’s this rly big makeup content creator who has her own brand and everything and she stitched this smaller poc’s video of how she does her makeup and was rly condescending about how she “used too much product” even tho she dm’d the girl and was like “i love ur video and was hoping i could repost it” and the creator said yes thinking it would be a positive review from the way she worded it. ANYWAY it’s just a bit wild bc the big creator literally did this challenge where she tried this white blonde creator’s makeup technique where she like uses deadass half the bottle of foundation and she was complimenting the technique and how it was flawless on the girl etc and yea the double standard has everyone mad rightfully

Idk if y'all saw the curly hair discourse on the Clock app....

But like... I wanna personally fist fight EVERYONE who says white people can't have naturally curly hair like...

The whole fight was white people attacking a white girl because she was sharing a curly hair care routine. In this routine, she kinda scrunched and fluffed her hair so people were screeching that she messed with her hair to force it to curl...
