The more I watch Gen I Pokemon challenge runs or videos in general, the more and more obvious it becomes that Gen I was held together with nothing but bubble gum, scotch tape, and a prayer lmao

" What are your thoughts on the divergences between Polteageist, and Poltchageist? "
"A matter of intentions and a difference in places. Sinistea and Polteageist are often brought over from places like Kalos and Paldea, and contain the spirits used to those spaces. I'm less used to Poltchageist and Sinistcha, but I can see the differences are mostly cultural.
Both are the souls of someone possessing a piece of pottery after a lonely death. With Unovan, Kalosian or Paldean spirits, they tend to become mischievous and vengeful until they find a trainer they trust. Until then, it's fatal to drink the tea they produce.
Poltchageist and Sinistcha are a separate species of ghosts entirely, but the similarities are in the types of spirits. They usually involve masters and apprentices of similar crafts who meet a lonely fate while focusing solely on their skills. In the end, they continue seeking that perfection they didn't get in life and lash out at those in the way.
There's probably versions of it we haven't found yet, in spaces that also have the same sort of seeking ideals and a craft suitable for hosting their possessions."

#hawlucha#just now realizing that “hawlucha” is a combination of “hawk” and “luchador”#i guess i've never really thought about it until Just Now. but now that i'm thinking about it. it is indeed a hawk luchador#i can't say this is ever a pokémon i think about except outside of flying press. which i distinctly remember as being#That One Move That's Two Types At Once#yeah okay. bulbapedia says it's supereffective against all the fighting-type weaknesses and also grass#but not bug‚ despite bug's weakness to flying‚ prooobably because bug resists fighting?#so it really is just two types at once. that's fucked up#i want more crazy fucked up moves like this. freeze-dry doesn't even come close it's too predictable

Atk 109 Sp.Def 98 Speed#it also has a signature ability called Supreme Order#it makes supereffective moves do triple damage even to the pokemon with the ability
