it's new and it's... interesting, to say the least. you're lounging on the couch while watching your show and suddenly he's right there with you, sitting on the other end, eyes fixated on the screen. he doesn't really say anything at first either, he just shows up. but after it keeps happening, he starts asking questions about it; very little, it's one question every once in a while, but he hums along as you explain whatever is going on each and every single time he does it. it's a bit hard for you to take it seriously but he's unfazed by your curious gaze – he is interested and he does want to know more about it. he wants to know what you like and what you do, he wants to... spend time with you.

he just doesn't know how to say it.

you're doing your skincare? he's there, leaning against the doorframe, studying you as you do it. you're making yourself a cup of tea in the kitchen? suddenly, he too, needs to get himself something to drink. you need to go grocery shopping? he's already putting on his clothes.

and he does it all in silence.

he follows you around like a cat and it's quite amusing. it's sweet. this isn't something that comes to him naturally, it takes him time to properly start lingering around you but it is a lot, it says a lot.

I need to see more unstable Whumpers. I don’t mean in the “Ahh I’m so crazy and sadistic I’m going to chop off all your limbs and yell at you for no reason because I’m so emotional and violent rahhh” (Even though I also love that trope)

I’m talking about Whumpers who are just as scared as Whumpee is. Ones who struggle to express their feelings. All they do is hurt people. When they’re just so desperate for something to call their own, something that can give them that unconditional love that no one gives them— Especially when there used to be someone a long time ago that did but the pain from that person leaving has made them so closed off. When they’ve become so isolated that can’t even look at Whumpee, much less touch them (But there are nights when Whumpee wakes up to feel a shaky, tentative hand resting on their back.) I’m talking about the kind of Whumpers who went through some stuff. The kind that wake up screaming after another nightmare and Whumpee knows that in a few minutes they’ll come to take that pain out on them. There are probably so many more examples but god do I love unstable Whumpers <3

sam and cas are so... they're like brothers-in-law that are always slightly awkward bc their relationship only exists bc of a different person. and the first few seasons getting to know each other they keep getting pissed off if they exchange more than a few words ("he's an abomination", "i'll hunt you down and kill you", etc) but there's still somehow an inherent admiration there (bc that's Dean's Brother/that's An Angel). and eventually they do become some sort of actual friends. bc along with everything else. they realized that they can be bitchy to each other without toning it down and enable each other's most insane ideas.

compared to sam+dean and cas+dean's relationships, sam+cas are remarkably unaffected by everything that happens. they might have seasons long fights or plots with dean, but with each other they're always just kinda chill. like, yeah, course he's always gonna be there. we're friends and i don't actually like him that much but he is my 2nd closest family member in the world. he can be super annoying but i'd die for him in a heartbeat :)

Demiaroace Luffy is my favorite thing because one day he's not giving a single fuck about sex and the other he wants to do all sorts of viscerally, grotesque, disgusting sexual atrocities with Zoro because he looked "really pretty after slicing someone in half" and he doesn't know where the hell those feelings came from but he needs Zoro right the fuck now. But also Zoro smiles and the sun shines just perfectly on him and it makes his heart act silly and now he's blushing and covering his face with the straw hat and he would rather jump overboard to the sea than experience that again because what the fuck Nami fix this please-

okay so, as much as I love the "unnecessary feelings" line, and with how popular it is who wouldnt ? Its a great line to show how Edgeworth feels abt Phoenix in that moment, and it can be seen as platonic and romantic. But i think there are more lines that deserve recognition that hold just as much meaning for the both of them

When Edgeworth finally came back from Europe, he mentions this, and i quote, "Your hatred for me is quite unhealthy, not to mention one-sided." An i think that holds quite a lot between the two.

Phoenix is mad, Edgeworth faked his death and thinks he can just come back all confident and like nothing happened, while Phoenix grieved, he was upset, he met his best friend again after multiple decades and then he just leaves without a word. He thinks Edgeworths death was his fault, "Miles Edgeworth chooses death" could be interpreted as Edgeworth choosing to end it because Phoenix discovered the truth, broke what he held dear, broke what he thought was *true*. Phoenix is upset that he can come back after all those thoughts.

Edgeworth however, "chose death" because yes, everything he thought was real broke, but he didnt do it because he was angry at Phoenix, he did it so he could come back a better man *for* Phoenix. He did it so he could find himself and help Phoenix find himself as well. He didnt do it because he was angry, he did it because he was confused. Under all that confidence is a confused man who was then questioning his entire career because of losing a case to Phoenix, because of having his mentor found guilty of killing his father because of Phoenix.

Also, uh, theres this and countless other lines like this.
